RESCUED OUT OF A SINFUL WAY OF LIFE THROUGH THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST.

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: RESCUED OUT OF A SINFUL WAY OF LIFE THROUGH THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST.

…you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot. (1 Peter 1:18-19)
Being ransomed from futile ways is another benefit Christians have through the blood of Jesus. We are rescued from a life lived devoid of meaning and are brought into a relationship with God and the ability to live in his will and with purpose.

Compared to the precious blood of Jesus Christ, the most valuable things of this earth (like silver and gold) are reduced to meaningless, perishable things. That is because the blood of Jesus gives Christians salvation of their souls, forgiveness from sins, access to God, victory over the enemy, and the power to live with a clear conscience, something that the gold and silver items in the Old Testament temple could never do.

Brethren, we are so valued by God for him to use his precious blood to rescued us from our sinful life, if you value this then what God require of me and you is to live a holy life. Our sins are cleans by the blood of Jesus Christ. Amen.

LET US PRAY
DEAR LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, GIVE US YOUR HOLINESS AND A HEART THAT HATE SINS IN JESUS NAME

WE ARE ABLE TO CONQUER THE ACCUSER OF THE BRETHREN THROUGH THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST.

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: WE ARE ABLE TO CONQUER THE ACCUSER OF THE BRETHREN THROUGH THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST.

Because of Christ’s sacrifice and the pouring out of His blood on our behalf, we can trust in the righteousness of Christ and not our own righteousness when we are accused by our enemy. Revelation 12:11 says, “And they have conquered him [Satan] by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.” As believers, we know that we cannot stand on our own merit or because of our own deeds. We know that our good deeds are as filthy rags before God (Isaiah 64:6) and that the Christ’s righteousness attributed to us is how we are able to stand up against accusations.

Charles Spurgeon spoke these comforting words:

I know what the devil will say to you. He will say to you, ‘You are a sinner!’ Tell him you know you are, but that for all that you are justified. He will tell you of the greatness of your sin. Tell him of the greatness of Christ’s righteousness. He will tell you of all your mishaps and your backslidings, of your offences and your wanderings. Tell him, and tell your own conscience, that you know all that, but that Jesus Christ came to save sinners, and that, although your sin be great, Christ is quite able to put it all away.

LET US PRAY
FATHER IN JESUS NAME, SILENT EVERY ACCUSER FROM THE DEVIL THAT IS WAR AGAINST US IN JESUS NAME. AMEN.

WE ARE PROGRESSIVELY CLEANSED FROM MORE AND MORE SIN THROUGH THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST.

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: WE ARE PROGRESSIVELY CLEANSED FROM MORE AND MORE SIN THROUGH THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST.

Not only are we forgiven from sin, but we are also sanctified through the blood of Christ.

Hebrews 13:12 tells us that “Jesus also suffered…in order to sanctify the people through his own blood”

Hebrews 13:12. God is calling his people be holy as He is, which is one of the reasons Jesus suffered. Without holiness, no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).

After we are forgiven of our sins and able to enter into a new relationship with God, it makes sense that God wants us to be in a new relationship with the him and be hostile to sin.
That is why he gives us the power, through the blood of His Son, to be cleansed from our sinful behaviors.

Brethren, pray and ask the Lord to wash you more by his blood as you start a new week today and as you promise to live Holy in Jesus name Amen.

LET US PRAY
DEAR LORD JESUS CHRIST, CLEANS US IN AND OUT AND MAKE US BE LIKE YOU IN HOLINESS IN JESUS NAME AMEN.

WE HAVE CLEANSED CONSCIENCES THROUGH THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST.

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: WE HAVE CLEANSED CONSCIENCES THROUGH THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST.

Through the blood of Christ, Christians receive the cleansing of their consciences.

Hebrews 9:14 says, “…how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God.”

This is an amazing promise! Christ cleansing our consciences from acts that lead to death! How does He do it?
By the blood of Christ, because on the cross He offered Himself unblemished to God! He offered Himself—His unblemished, perfect life—as a sacrifice to God for us on account of our sins. Therefore, He alone is able to cleanse our consciences through His blood.

Even though all of our minds have been corrupted by sin and seared as with a hot iron (1 Timothy 4:2), Christ can cleanse our consciences. We are able to live right lives and think right thoughts once again in Christ. This is great news for those who are burdened by a sinful past and corrupted consciences.

Brethren this morning you have access to Jesus and through his blood our dirty mind is cleaned. You too can invite Jesus to you life this morning to clean you of your dirty past that is disturbing your mind.

LET US PRAY
DEAR LORD JESUS CHRIST, CLEAN EVERY DIRTINESS OF OUR PAST THAT STILL HAVE HOLD ON US IN JESUS NAME AMEN.

WE RECEIVE FORGIVENESS THROUGH THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST.

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: WE RECEIVE FORGIVENESS THROUGH THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST.

Forgiveness of sin
In addition to being able to enter into God’s presence through the blood of Christ, we are also forgiven of our sins.

Ephesians 1:7 says that, “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.” Because of Christ’s shed blood, God is able to forgive us for our sins and give the punishment that we deserved to Christ.

Christ had a special way of explaining this to his disciples during the Last Supper, which also was the Passover meal celebration.

He said, “For this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins” (Matthew 26:28). He was telling His disciples that just as the blood of the lamb delivered the Hebrews from the night of terrors in Egypt, so Christ’s own blood would deliver the people who were covered by it from the judgment of God on the last day.

This truth is expressed beautifully in the hymn, “Nothing But the Blood”

What can wash away my sin?

Nothing but the blood of Jesus;

What can make me whole again?

Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Oh! Precious is the flow

That makes me white as snow;

No other fount I know,

Nothing but the blood of Jesus…
Take joy, Christian, that Christ has cleansed you from your sin with his blood!

LET US PRAY
DEAR LORD JESUS CHRIST, LET US BLOOD WASH AWAY EVERY STAIN OF SIN IN OUR LIFE IN JESUS NAME AMEN.

THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST.

We gain bold access to God in worship and prayer
The Bible is clear that every person is alienated and separated from God because of our sin (Colossians 1:21). That means even the best of us are actually unable to approach God to offer worship or prayer. Because of our sins, we remain at a distance from Him.

But the Bible tells Christians to come boldly into God’s presence, “We have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus” (Hebrews 10:19). If you are a Christian today, you can have boldness and confidence as you approach God with your prayers and your worship, because you are no longer far away from God, “Now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been made near by the blood of Christ” (Ephesians 2:13).

It is because of the blood of Jesus Christ that we have the great privilege of pouring our hearts out to God (Psalm 62:8) casting our cares on Him (1 Peter 5:7) and praying any time and any place in the power of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:18).
Does your prayer life reflect the kind of relationship you have with God through the blood of His Son?

LET US PRAY
DEAR LORD JESUS CHRIST, LET YOUR BLOOD SPEAK FOR US AND LET YOUR BLOOD WASH US CLEAN IN JESUS NAME AMEN.

THE SECOND DEATH VERSES SPIRITUAL DEATH

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: THE SECOND DEATH VERSES SPIRITUAL DEATH

Please understand that spiritual death is not the same as the second death.
Every man is born spiritually dead. We are already spiritually dead by birth.

In contrast, the second death is being cast into the Lake of Fire forever.
The first death is separation of our soul and spirit from our earthly body.
The second death is separation of our body, soul and spirit from God for all eternity.
Matthew 10:28, “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”

Revelation 21:8, “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

My friend, please don't go to Hell. You don't have to die a second death.
Because of sin we must all die a physical death (Romans 6:23), but Jesus shed His blood and paid the price for our sins so we wouldn't have to die a second death. Revelation 21:8 defines the second death as spending eternity being tormented in a lake of brimstone and fire. Is that what you want? The choice is yours.

Jesus said in John 3:5 to Nicodemus (a Jewish leader), “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Being born again is not optional. Whether Jew or Gentile, everyone must be born again.

If you've never been born-again, you are missing out on a whole new world of spiritual understanding

LET US PRAY
DEAR LORD JESUS CHRIST, SAVE OUR SOUL FROM HELL AND MAKE US REIGN WITH YOU IN HEAVENLY KINGDOM.

HOW TO BE BORN AGAIN BIBLICALLY

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: HOW TO BE BORN AGAIN BIBLICALLY

The way we become “born again” is found in the Word of God...

“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” —1st Peter 1:23

We are born again by the Word of God. Jesus is the Word of God (John 1:1,14: Revelation 19:13). The following statement sums it up well....

If you're born once, then you die TWICE;
If you're born twice, then you die ONCE.

If you don't receive Jesus Christ and become a born again Christian, then you will sadly burn in hellfire for all eternity (John 3:18,36; Revelation 20:15; 21:8).

Again, being born-again means having He Who is the Beginning (Jesus Christ) born in you.” Revelation 1:8, “I am Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the Ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.”
Isn't that beautiful.

When a person is born-again, the Spirit of Christ comes to live in that person's body.
“Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His” (Romans 8:9b). This birth comes about only through faith in the Son of God.

God came down to this earth 2,000 years ago and took upon Himself the form of a man. That man was the Lord Jesus Christ (John 1:1,14; 1st Timothy 3:16). Literally, the GODHEAD became incarnate (Colossians 2:9—King James Bible).
Jesus was born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14).
Jesus never sinned even once (2nd Corinthians 5:21; Hebrews 4:15). Jesus died, was buried and rose again after three days (1st Corinthians 15:1-4).
Jesus shed His precious blood to pay for all our sins (Colossians 1:14; 1st Peter 1:18,19), and applied that blood to the Mercyseat in Heaven (Hebrews 9:12, 24-26).

My friend, if you believe that Jesus is the Christ, the only begotten Son of God Who died, was buried and rose again for your sins, and you've made that your hope for Heaven by believing on His name, then you are a born-again child of God.

Jesus is the Savior Who paid for our sins. If you realize that you're a guilty sinner, then you simply need to believe on the Gospel of Jesus Christ to have your sins forgiven. Believe that Christ died and was resurrected, shedding His precious blood to wash away your sins. All God the Father asks is that we come for salvation by way of the cross upon which His Son Jesus Christ died.

LET US PRAY
FATHER I GIVE MY LIFE TO YOU, SAFE ME AND FORGIVE MY SINS MAKE ME YOUR CHILD AND DON'T LET ME END MY LIFE IN HELL IN JESUS NAME

HOW DO YOU PRAY?

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: HOW DO YOU PRAY?

James 4:1-3 KJV
From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? [2] Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. [3] Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

Praise God for the opportunity we have to pray, prayer has always been one big way of communicating God and tender our heart desire to him. And it's very interesting too that it's the desire and commandment of God that we pray to him. But since prayer has been a way to pour our heart to God. Many has been disappointed about this and even tired of praying. Because as they pray it's seems nothing is forthcoming.

Let me show you some point why God won't answer our prayer. Isaiah 59:1 KJV
Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:

According to our Bible vers today the first reason why God will not answer is lost follow by other.

LUST
1. A feeling of strong desire, especially such a feeling driven by sexual arousal.
A general want or longing, not necessarily sexual.
The Bible says by this we can't receive what we wanted. If we lusted in our heart.

2. The second is KILLING.
This sounded so horrible. Yes but that is how many people try to get what they want. They kill innocent people to get their post. Cain kill Able in the book of Genesis. many people does that today. Your prayer won't be answer by killing either animal or your fellow human. Psalm 51:17 KJV
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
Psalm 51:16 KJV
For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it : thou delightest not in burnt offering.
Don't be deceive by fake prophet. If you keep on sacrificing. God will not answer. Jesus is our sacrifice. Hallelujah

3. FIGHTING and WAR
The Bible says this also will not make our prayer answer. many wife's fight their husband. Wife. Pastor. Neighbours, lecturer. Siblings etc. Many Christian are in serious fight against their parents because a prophet told them their problem is from their parent. (Yes it may be) but fighting won't solve it.
Jeremiah 32:5b KJV
saith the Lord : though ye fight with the Chaldeans, ye shall not prosper.

4. Bible said Ye ASK NOT.
Can you imagine that? Many of us don't really ask God what we want and need. We only accuse him of things he didn't do and shout in prayer without specific request. When next you pray be specific. Make a list of what you want. God is our father he is never tired of us. No list is too big for him. Amen

5. This next point is really where many of us always missing it. ASKING AMISS....
The Bible says some of us really ask but we ask amiss... What is the meaning of this.... The Bible gave us an hint by saying all we ask is from a selfish heart. We are too selfish and our purpose is very wrong.
Brethren, have you ever ask yourself. What is my motive. My reason. My purpose for asking God this. Remember God look at your heart not your face.

LET US PRAY
FATHER TEACH US TO PRAY RIGHTLY AND ANSWER OUR GOOD HEART DESIRE IN JESUS NAME.

Salvation

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: SALVATION

"What is salvation? What is the Christian doctrine of salvation?"

Salvation is deliverance from danger or suffering. To save is to deliver or protect. The word carries the idea of victory, health, or preservation. Sometimes, the Bible uses the words saved or salvation to refer to temporal, physical deliverance, such as Paul’s deliverance from prison (Philippians 1:19).

More often, the word “salvation” concerns an eternal, spiritual deliverance. When Paul told the Philippian jailer what he must do to be saved, he was referring to the jailer’s eternal destiny (Acts 16:30-31). Jesus equated being saved with entering the kingdom of God (Matthew 19:24-25).

What are we saved from? In the Christian doctrine of salvation, we are saved from “wrath,” that is, from God’s judgment of sin (Romans 5:9; 1 Thessalonians 5:9). Our sin has separated us from God, and the consequence of sin is death (Romans 6:23). Biblical salvation refers to our deliverance from the consequence of sin and therefore involves the removal of sin.

Who does the saving? Only God can remove sin and deliver us from sin’s penalty (2 Timothy 1:9; Titus 3:5).

How does God save? In the Christian doctrine of salvation, God has rescued us through Christ (John 3:17). Specifically, it was Jesus’ death on the cross and subsequent resurrection that achieved our salvation (Romans 5:10; Ephesians 1:7). Scripture is clear that salvation is the gracious, undeserved gift of God (Ephesians 2:5, 8) and is only available through faith in Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12).

How do we receive salvation? We are saved by faith. First, we must hear the gospel—the good news of Jesus’ death and resurrection (Ephesians 1:13). Then, we must believe—fully trust the Lord Jesus (Romans 1:16). This involves repentance, a changing of mind about sin and Christ (Acts 3:19), and calling on the name of the Lord (Romans 10:9-10, 13).

A definition of the Christian doctrine of salvation would be “The deliverance, by the grace of God, from eternal punishment for sin which is granted to those who accept by faith God’s conditions of repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus.” Salvation is available in Jesus alone (John 14:6; Acts 4:12) and is dependent on God alone for provision, assurance, and security.

LET US PRAY
DEAR LORD JESUS CHRIST, SAVE OUR SOUL FROM ETERNAL JUDGEMENT IN JESUS NAME AND MAKE US REIGN WITH YOU.

FAITH Vs ANXIETY AND WORRY.

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: FAITH Vs ANXIETY AND WORRY.

Anxiety and worry flourish anytime there is doubt and fear. The area of life most often consumed with doubt is the future. We just don’t know what tomorrow will bring and that lack of knowledge fills us with fear over the unknown.

Doubt cringes and cowers in fear over the disappointments, losses and troubles tomorrow may hold.

Faith, however, welcomes the future with grateful optimism.

Faith looks to the future with confidence because faith know who controls tomorrow, Rom. 8:28.

Faith knows the God Who plans tomorrow, Isa. 46:9-10.

Faith knows the God Who safely leads His people through today and through all the tomorrows of life, Psa. 37:23.

Why can faith be so hopeful when it looks ahead? Bible tells us that faith focuses its attention on the things that glorify God and on the things that lead the saints closer to God.

·Faith is thankful when it faces the future because faith does not concern itself with tomorrow. Faith contents itself to look into the face of God, knowing that while tomorrow might be filled with its share of pain and disappointment, faith knows Who He holds all the tomorrows of life in His hand.

·When your eyes are on the Lord, you can face the future with thanksgiving and you shall surely see what will always make you praise God.

LET US PRAY
DEAR LORD JESUS CHRIST, INCREASE OUR FAITH ABOVE ANXIETY AND WORRIES IN JESUS NAME.

REASON FOR THANKSGIVING

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: REASON FOR THANKSGIVING

When we take the time to stop and look at all the blessings we enjoy because of our relationship with the Lord, it is easy to see why we should be a thankful people. We need to stop and take a spiritual inventory of all the blessings we enjoy in the Lord.

Psalm 103.
David catalogues the blessings of the Lord and calls on the people of God to remember those blessings, v. 2, and to praise the Lord for those blessings, v. 1.

Those blessings include:

1. Forgiveness – v. 3, 8-12

2. Spiritual health – v. 3

3. Redemption – v. 4

4. Blessings – v. 4

5. Satisfaction – v. 5

6. Strength – v. 5

7. The Word of God – v. 7

8. God’s infinite mercy – v. 8, 17

9. Our family relationship with God – v. 13

10. His patience – v. 14

THINK OF ALL YOU HAVE IN HIM:

His love, His mercy and His grace
His salvation and forgiveness
The Word of God
The Church
The privilege of prayer, v. 6 – Ill Thanksgiving adds the element of expectation to the act of prayer. Thanksgiving allows faith to expect an answer to the prayers it offers.

Now, stop to think of how the Lord has blessed you:

Financially
Physically
Spiritually
With family and friends
With a home in Heaven
By answering prayer, moving mountains, meeting needs, comforting your heart, offering unconditional love and forgiveness.

When we take the time to look around at all the blessings we enjoy as God’s children, it is easy to see that we have ample reason for thanksgiving! This week take time to say thank you Lord always.

LET US PRAY
DEAR LORD JESUS TEACH US TO PRAISE YOU WITH ALL WE HAVE AND LET US ALWAYS HAVE GOOD REASON TO THANK YOU IN JESUS NAME.

DO YOU NEED PEACE?

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: DO YOU NEED PEACE?

Philippians 4:6-7

There are three basic types of peace mentioned in the Bible.

1. The peace of God that comes with salvation, Rom. 5:1.

2. The peace of God that come through total surrender to God in all things, Phil. 4:6-7; John 14:1, 27.

3. The peace on earth that will come when Jesus Christ comes back to reign in glory and power, Isa. 2:1-4.

The passage before us today deals with the peace of God that comes with total surrender to God in all things.

1. It is the peace of God in the times of trouble.

2. It is the peace of God that overwhelms our worries and that helps us to rest in the will of God even when we cannot see what lies ahead.

The key to having this kind of peace lies in possessing a thankful heart.
Thanksgiving is an important theme throughout the Bible. It is mentioned over 140 times.

· David spoke about it – Psalm 103 – The list of His blessings is inexhaustible and makes Him worthy of our thanksgiving.

·Daniel practiced it – Daniel 6:10 – Daniel demonstrates the power of giving thanks even when you are in the midst of trials.

·Paul wrote about it – 1 Thes. 5:18 – God deserves, commands and expects our thankfulness in all areas of life and at all times.

The key to experiencing the peace mentioned in verse 7 lies in possessing a thankful heart. Brethren let the praises of God fill your heart this week and in all circumstances give thanks and you shall surely have peace.

A CURE FOR ENVY

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: A CURE FOR ENVY.

... CONTINUE FROM YESTERDAY..

Thankfully, there is a cure for envy. The cure comes in a contentment found in setting our minds on all that God is for you in Jesus Christ.
The task of each believer is to do all he can with what God has given him. He is not to resent what has been given to another and is not to feel he needs to accomplish the task of another. He is to be a faithful steward of the gifts, blessings and resources that have been provided to him.

We are not all called to the same task and we will not all experience the same blessings on earth. And when it is time to receive our reward, each of us will be rewarded not on the basis of the quantity of the blessings we received, but on the quality of our response to these blessings, and our faithfulness to the Lord and our trust of God.

Hear the words of Charles Spurgeon:
The cure for envy lies in living under a constant sense of the divine presence, worshiping God and communing with Him all the day long, however long the day may seem. True religion lifts the soul into a higher region, where the judgment becomes more clear and the desires are more elevated.
The more of heaven there is in our lives, the less of earth we shall covet. The fear of God casts out envy of men.

Psalm 73:23-26 “Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory. Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever”.

LET US PRAY
FATHER LORD IN JESUS NAME, DELIVER US FROM EVERY SPIRIT OF ENVINESS AND SATISFY US WITH THE PRESENCE OF YOUR SPIRIT ALWAYS FOR CONTENTMENT IN JESUS NAME.

THE DESTRUCTION IN ENVINESS

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: THE DESTRUCTION IN ENVINESS

Proverbs 14:30 KJV
A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.

... Continue from yesterday...
Traditionally envy was regarded as the second worst and second most prevalent of the seven deadly sins….Its uniqueness lies in the fact that it is the one vice that its perpetrators never enjoy and rarely confess.

Without pride and without envy, many other sins would not exist. Would there be adultery without pride or envy? Think of how often envy is the root cause behind the sins of stealing, slandering, hatred, and murder.

It is for good reason that the Ten Commandments conclude with a prohibition against coveting, for it is the desire of our hearts that leads us into sin. Envy is a deeply private but destructive form of covetousness. It was Aquinas who provided a famous definition of envy when he suggested that “Envy is sorrow (or resentment) at another’s good.”

Envy is begrudging God’s grace and blessing to another person. (It was the elder brother’s attitude in Luke 15 when his father lavished mercy on his younger prodigal brother.)

Guinness says: Envy enters when, seeing someone else’s happiness or success, we feel ourselves called into question. Then, out of the hurt of our wounded self-esteem, we seek to bring the other person down to our level by word or deed. (Since they make us feel low and unappreciated by their success, we feel we should bring them down to their deserved level.

Dorothy Sayers said, “Envy begins by asking plausibly: ‘Why should I not enjoy what others enjoy?’
and it ends by demanding: ‘Why should others enjoy what I may not?’”
While others have been awarded, lauded, and praised, and I should have been offering congratulations or encouragement, too often I have been muttering and grinding my teeth, begrudging another man a blessing.

Meanwhile those with enviness will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Galatians 5:21 KJV
Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

LET US PRAY
FATHER IN JESUS NAME, FILL US WITH YOUR SPIRIT OF LOVE TOWARDS OUR NEIGHBOURS IN JESUS NAME.

WHAT ENVY LEAD TO

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: WHAT ENVY LEAD TO

... CONTINUE FROM YESTERDAY.
Envy is a powerful temptation and a destructive sin. Wishing you were married to someone else leads to lust and adultery, even murder. Being jealous of someone else’s success and prosperity leads to gossip and slander about that person, for if YOU can’t be them, you don’t want them enjoying their status either. Envy in the church leads to a refusal to submit to elders and pastors, because if you can’t be in control and in charge, then why should you submit to others who are?

Envy is not merely desiring what another person has.. envy is not merely being resentful that they have it and you don’t.. envy also doesn’t want the other person to have it.. so, for example, a wife who is envious of another wife’s husband may try to destroy that marriage…

We see the sin of envy throughout the Bible,
In Num. 12:2, Aaron and Miriam are envious of the position that God had given their brother Moses: “Has the LORD spoken only through Moses?” they asked. “Hasn’t he also spoken through us?”

Here in Num. 16, Korah the Levite and some of his buddies are envious of the high priestly status that the Lord has given to Aaron: v. 3 “They came as a group to oppose Moses and Aaron and said to them, “You have gone too far! The whole community is holy, every one of them, and the LORD is with them. Why then do you set yourselves above the LORD’S assembly?”

God comments on this: Ps. 106:16 “In the camp they grew envious of Moses and of Aaron…” And God dealt with them mercilessly without accept their plea.
Brethren don't let envy brings God's wrought upon you. Wait for God's time in your life.

LET US PRAY
FATHER IN JESUS NAME, TAKE AWAY EVERY SPIRIT OF ENVINESS IN US AND BLESS US WITH YOUR HOLY SPIRIT IN JESUS NAME.

TOPIC: ENVINESS

What’s your response when someone else has what you want? What’s your response when your fellow worker gets recognized for her hard work by getting a raise or a bonus, and no one says anything about your work?
Is it rejoicing or is it resentment?
How do you feel when another Christian achieves a higher level of outward success than you do, perhaps a nicer home, lavish vacations, an early retirement, or better health ?
Rejoicing or resentment?

Or what’s your heart response to your friends when they tell you some great news that has happened to them, and it hasn’t happened to you? Rejoicing or resentment?

Is it “Good for them!” or is it “Why didn’t that happen to me?”

One of the deadliest sins is that of envy. Envy is the resentment that another person is enjoying something that you would like….. but you don’t have.

OUR ENVY RESULTS FROM TWO MAIN CAUSES:
1. We are not content….. and
2. we fail to love.

We envy because we are not content with how God has made us (our looks); or we are dissatisfied with the hand He has dealt us (our job, our house, our health; our life situation); or we envy those who are in positions above us, wishing we could be the boss or the CEO; wishing we could order others around, instead of being ordered about.

On the other hand, we envy because we fail to love others.
1 Cor. 13:4 “Love… does not envy).
If you love your spouse, you will rejoice if he or she gets an award or special recognition, right?
If you love your child, you will be glad if he or she gets a higher paying job than you have!
But if you envy someone else’s success, it means that you don’t love them; it means you love yourself more than you love them.

If you allow enviness to takeover your mind, you won't know when you will become evil and started planning evil of your fellow brother. Be contented and love your neighbours success your time will come too.

LET US PRAY
DEAR LORD JESUS CHRIST, TAKE EVERY MIND OF ENVINESS NESS AWAY FROM OUR HEART IN JESUS NAME.

WHAT THE POWER OF PRAISE CAN DO (Pt4)

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: WHAT THE POWER OF PRAISE CAN DO (Pt4)

OUR SPIRITS ARE REFRESHED AND RENEWED IN HIS PRESENCE.

We're strengthened by His peace and refueled by His joy. Through a heart of praise, we realize that God doesn’t just change our situations and work through our problems, He changes our hearts.

“In His presence, there is fullness of joy.” Psa. 16:11

"Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands." Psa. 63:3-4

IT PAVES THE WAY FOR GOD'S POWER TO BE DISPLAYED,

miracles happen. People's lives are affected and changed. God shakes things up through praise. As Paul and Silas sat in prison, shackled, and chained, they kept right on praising God. And God sent an earthquake that shook the cells and broke the chains. The jailer and all his family came to know Christ that very night.

“About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them, and suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken. And immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone's bonds were unfastened.” Acts 16:25-26
We have a choice every day in this life. To live absorbed in worry and stress, on the fast track of busy, focused only on what surrounds us, tuned into the roar of the world.
Or, we can ask God to help us take our eyes off all that may be swirling around, our problems and mess, or the voices of others. And we can look up...to Him, the One who holds it all together, and who holds us in his hands.

God desires our whole heart. He waits for us to return. He longs for us to know the power of His presence over our lives. He desires to bless us more than we could imagine. His Spirit urges us onward, calling us closer.

LET US PRAY
DEAR LORD JESUS CHRIST, LET YOUR POWER FALL, LET YOUR MIRACLE HAPPENS IN OUR LIVES AS WE PRAISE YOUR HOLY NAME IN JESUS NAME.

WHAT THE POWER OF PRAISE CAN DO (Pt3)

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: WHAT THE POWER OF PRAISE CAN DO (Pt3)

... Continue from last message....
PRAISE MAKES ROOM FOR GOD’S BLESSINGS OVER OUR LIVES.

He will not hold back His goodness, praise opens the gateway of blessing as we come into the Presence of our King.

“Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!” Psa. 100:4

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:" Eph. 1:3

PRAISE INVITES HIS PRESENCE.

God dwells close to us when we praise Him. He lives there. He looks for it.

“He inhabits the praises of His people.” Psa. 22:3

"But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light;" 1 Pet. 2:9

Brethren, cultivate the habit of praises in your daily dealings and miracle will follow in your life in Jesus name

LET US PRAY
FATHER IN JESUS NAME, LET YOUR PRESENCE ALWAYS BE WITH US AND BRING DOWN YOUR BLESSING UPON US IN JESUS NAME.

WHAT THE POWER OF PRAISE CAN DO (Pt2)

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: WHAT THE POWER OF PRAISE CAN DO (Pt2)

PRAISE MAKES THE ENEMY FLEE.

It pushes back the darkness the surrounds, and blocks the attacks and hissing lies over us. Evil will not stick around if we’re praising our God, who will fight our battles for us. In the story of Jehoshaphat, we see God miraculously defeat the enemy, because of the people’s obedience to praise Him.

“As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated” 2 Chron. 20:22

PRAISE LEAVES NO ROOM FOR COMPLAINING AND NEGATIVITY.

Sometimes even within our prayers, we can tend to complain about our problems. God knows our hearts. And He cares about all that concerns us. But through praise, we’re focused on Him, no longer allowing too much attention to be centered around the struggles. We’re reminded of what He has already done in our lives. We’re reminded that He knows what concerns us, and is capable of taking care of all that burdens us.

“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy.” Psa. 103:2-4

"By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name." Heb. 13:15

LET US PRAY
IN JESUS NAME, LET ALL ENEMY AND NEGATIVITY DISAPPEAR IN OUR LIFES THROUGH PRAISES OF GOD IN OUR MOUTH IN JESUS NAME.

What the Power of Praise Can Do

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: WHAT THE POWER OF PRAISE CAN DO

What the Power of Praise Can Do -

1. Praise gets our focus off ourselves and back on God.

In our often “selfie” focused world, we need this constant reminder - life is not all about us. We may know that in our heads, but yet our hearts think differently so often. We're prone to selfishness, He desires our eyes be set firmly on Him, because that's where our true hope is found. He is worthy of our praise, no matter what we face from day to day.

“Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his excellent greatness!” Psa. 150:2

"And my tongue shall speak of your righteousness and of your praise all the day long." Psa. 35:28

2. Praise brings us to a place of humility.
We remember our dependency on God, as we acknowledge our need for Him. As we praise Him as Creator and King of this world, we admit and recognize that we’re not in control, but He is. He is above all.

“Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise! For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.” Psa. 95:2-3

"I will give you thanks in the great congregation: I will praise you among much people." Psa. 35:18

FATHER IN JESUS NAME, LET THE POWER OF PRAISE REMOLD US AND MAKE US PERFECT IN JESUS NAME.
