IN EVERYTHING, GIVE THANKS

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: IN EVERYTHING, GIVE THANKS

text this morning is 1 Thessalonians 5:18.

Paul writes, "In everything give thanks for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."

Paul simply says very directly, "In everything give thanks." No exceptions, no excuses, nothing is outside those parameters, in everything give thanks. That little phrase en pante in the Greek means in connection with everything that occurs...in connection with everything in life give thanks no matter what it might be, with obvious exceptions of personal sin.
He is saying no matter what happens to you in life, be thankful. No matter lot, no matter what circumstance, no matter what struggle, vicissitude, trial, testing, be thankful, give thanks. No matter what the situation we are to find reason to thank God. This is not some nebulous thanks fired off into space, it is a thanks given directly to God.

By the way, we should remind ourselves that thanksgiving is the essence of Christian living and attitude. And being unthankful is the very essence of the unregenerate heart.

The Apostle Paul in Romans chapter 1 identifies the ungodly with some very direct words. In verse 21 he says, "They knew God," that is through conscience and creation God was visibly manifest to them, and experientially manifest to them, but even though they knew God through creation and conscience, he says, "They did not honor Him as God or give thanks." There is the indictment on unregenerate man. There is the indictment on the non-Christian. He refuses to do what is basic and that is to thank God for everything.

God who created everything, God who gives him life and breath in whom he lives and moves and has his being, God who has revealed himself to him in conscience and therefore given him a standard of right and wrong, God who gives every good and perfect gift is THE one and THE only one to whom all thanks is to be rendered

So look back today and say a big thanks to the lord, for seen the end of the year, thank God for your family, church, friends, property, marriage, work, education, health, life etc. Don't be ingrate

LET US PRAY

FATHER IN JESUS NAME, LET MY LIFE BE A GOOD EXAMPLE OF YOUR PRAISES TO THE UNGRATEFUL HEART, AND TEACH ME DAILY TO PRAISE YOU

HAPPY NEW YEAR FRIENDS😀

STRENGTH AND HOPE TO END THE YEAR

IOI CHRISTIAN MEAL

TOPIC: STRENGTH AND HOPE TO END THE YEAR

Summary: God does not want us to merely sit around and wait passively for the future
fulfillment of his promises, nor does he want us to sit around a celebrate his victories of
the past. He wants both the past and future to shape our lives for faithfulness, service,
and commitment to him and his mission in the present, today.

Know: God has his purposes for us to fulfill in our lives daily.

Feel: The desire to please God in all things daily

Do: Survey your personal attitudes concerning God's redemptive acts of the past, and his
promises for the future, and how they affect your life today. Identify specific ways God's acts
and promises are to affect your attitudes and how you are to conduct yourselves on a daily
basis.

Text: Eccl 7:8

Scripture Reading: Eccl 7:8-10

Intro:
1. Coming to the end of yet another year
Newspapers and television do a "year in review"
Maybe a great year, great things happened
Graduate, new job, new relationship, new house, etc.
For some it was a rough year, maybe regrets

2. Title of the sermon - From Eccl 7:8 - The end is better than the beginning
I know what you thinking - "Yes, end of a sermon better than beginning"
Sometimes I agree - struggle and glad to get it over
I hope this will bless you and not be one of those kind of sermons

But haven't we all experienced the simply truth of this proverb?
- Travel over holidays, nice, but always good to be back home
- Start school/ college, great things happen, but good to graduate
- Deployed, better to complete tour of duty and come back home
- Going into surgery - better when it is done and you are healed

Yes, the end is better than the beginning
Let's reflect on this little proverb and what this truth does for us This proverb helps you to

I. Leave the past
A. About 90 or so hours from now, this year will be history
1. What goes through your mind?
a. Maybe regret for passing up opportunities
b. Maybe for making mistakes
2. Tempted to think - "If I just had it to do over again"
a. I would do it differently
b. I would fix what I messed up
B. (Eccl 7:10) - Do not say, why were the former days than these?
1. It is not wise to dwell on the past, for good or bad
2. Think about it:
a. Would you really want to repeat your Freshman year?
b. Do you want to go through deployment again?
c. Do you want to repeat a long trip for the holidays?
d. Go through surgery again?
3. Maybe it was an emotional or spiritual struggle
a. Maybe difficulty with family, friends, neighbors
b. Maybe it was a temptation of some sort
c. Do you really want to go through it again??
4. (Phil 3:8-14) -
a. Paul forgets what lies behind, the past is the past
b. He has lost a lot, he counts it all loss
c. He speaks of suffering and death
d. But that is all in the past

He reminded me - "This will pass"

CONCLUSION Bible reminds us of this
Ps 30:5 - Weeping last for the night, joy in the morning, No matter how dark, morning will come - God is faithful

LET US PRAY,
MAY GOD GIVE YOU POWER AND STRENGTH TO HAVE PERFECT JOY AS THE YEAR ENDED AND MAKE YOU HAPPY IN WHATEVER SITUATION YOU FIND YOUR SELF IN JESUS NAME

HAPPY NEW YEAR IN ADVANCE

The year is not yet over

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

AN END OF THE YEAR EXHORTATION
TOPIC: The Year Is Not Yet Over

Exodus 12:1-2 "Now the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you."

Psalm 105:37 "He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes."

Allow me to inspire you for a few minutes. I don't know about you but the year is not yet over! I said, the year is not yet over... I know that we are just a few hours from the New Year and we are about to step over onto a brand new path forward in this ministry hoping to revisiting some old territories and looking forward to discovering new ones, and to initiate brand new plans of what we want God to do for us - we are hoping for some exciting and blessed times in the year to come. But this year is not yet over...
In Exodus Chapter 12 verses one and two, God spoke to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt saying, "This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you."
Here in this verse from Exodus, God is about to deliver the Israelites from 430 years of Egyptian bondage; this is the eve of their departure from their long enslavement. And on this night, God through Moses is instituting a New Year a new era He is instituting the sacred calendar so that Israel and the world can know His prophetic plan for the ages!
This for Israel is a new beginning - a fresh new start as a freed and redeemed people! They are on the threshold of stepping over into destiny and purpose with God orchestrating this movement with a great demonstration of His power. Here, they were about to step over into something new. Next year is prophesied to be the year of destiny. And guess what? We too can step over into something new, a brand new beginning in Jesus Christ

Since We Are Not Yet Gone Let Make the Best of What is Left
In those days we used to sing an old song that says, "Before this time another year I maybe gone!" And since another year hasn't yet quite arrived, and since we are still here in this year, though a few hours left I must redeem the time of what is left of this year and make the best of it... I know you might be saying, "well, pastor want can I expect in these last few hours of this year?" I want you to know that you can expect everything that is in line with the will of God... And if you don't get that healing or if no one stop by this Church and give you 10,000 don't think that this year will end in failure. But if you would just recommit yourselves to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and renounce all of your setbacks of this year, a great miracle will take place in your soul and in your life. The year is not year over!

Year endings can be trying times times of uncertainty. But you can make it a time of resolve for a brand new start...
It is always said that every year carries its number, meaning lots of folk die at the end of the year. So when December arrives folk begin to worry about dying or someone dying in the family. And since we are all still here we can inquire of the Lord for a last minute miracle. Hallelujah!

LET US PRAY

FATHER IN JESUS NAME, GIVE ME MY OWN END OF THE YEAR MIRACLE IN JESUS NAME

GOOD MORNING FRIENDS

Count your blessing

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

LETS SING HYMN

Count Your Blessings, Name Them One By One

I love that old hymn "Count Your Blessings" its one of my favorites.

When upon life billows you are tempest tossed,
when you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.

Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your blessings, see what God hath done!
Count your blessings, name them one by one, And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.

Are you ever burdened with a load of care?
Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear? Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly,
And you will keep singing as the days go by.

When you look at others with their lands and gold, Think that Christ has promised you His wealth untold; Count your many blessings. Wealth can never buy
Your reward in heaven, nor your home on high.

So, amid the conflict whether great or small,
Do not be disheartened, God is over all;
Count your many blessings, angels will attend,
Help and comfort give you to your journey抯 end.

I notice that song seems to say "count your blessings" when you dont think you have any. And, this morning I am sure that there are those of here who may feel like our blessings are few and far between.
Count my brother and say thank you Jesus

LET US PRAY

FATHER IN JESUS NAME, I THANK YOU FOR YOUR BLESSING IN MY LIFE, THE SALVATION OF MY SOUL, MY LIFE, MINISTRY MY WORK, FAMILY, MY HEALTH AND IN ALL CONDITION I FIND MY SELF NOW, I SAY THANK YOU JESUS

AMEN

GOOD MORNING BRETHREN

TYPE THANK YOU JESUS IF YOU ARE GRATEFUL

After Christmas then what

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: “After Christmas – Then What?”

Matthew 2:12-15

12 And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.
13 When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up,” he said, “take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.”
14 So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egypt, 15 where he stayed until the death of Herod. And so was fulfilled what the Lord had said through the prophet: “Out of Egypt I called my son.”

Christmas is over. Wrapping litters the floor. The kitchen sink is piled high with Christmas dinner dishes. The kids are already breaking some of the new toys. Things are back to normal – right?
Well, not exactly. Things will never be quite the same again - because in the City of David a Savior was born. Things will never be the same again. That magnificent, world changing, happy event is over. In its wake is a let down. The angels are gone. The shepherds have returned to their sheep. The wise men are sneaking home – headed toward where the sun rises. And maybe that is a sign in itself. The event isn’t over. They are not riding into the sunset. They are headed for a new day! But at our house, the Christmas tree is drying out and the fridge is crowded with leftovers.
Depression, discouragement, worry, anxiety, dread, fear – it is all there. We are concerned because of the work to restore the house to normal. Mary was concerned that the king may find them and kill her baby. We are anxious about our coming bills – Joseph and Mary were anxious about settling in a new country. We are discouraged because Christmas wasn’t quite what we had hoped for. Joseph and Mary are discouraged because this event changed their lives. New home, new country – family gone, good thing they got that gold from the Wisemen to pay the bills. We look ahead and see a fist full of bills – and it concerns us. They looked ahead and saw a cross – and it concerned them.
Now what do we do? Well, we just keep on living. We take each day one at a time. We face each obstacle one at a time. And we seize the hope of Christmas. Because of Christmas – we have hope. I’m talking about ‘biblical’ hope. I remember someone commenting in a community meeting one time, that they had the ‘hope of eternal life’. One of the next speakers, showing his ignorance, says, “I don’t ‘hope’ I have eternal life – I KNOW!’.
Well, that sounded good. But hope is not a wish. Hope is an expectation. Specifically, hope is the trusting expectation that God will keep His Word. Hope is trust. Hope is expectation. Because of Christmas we have the expectation of certain things.
First of all, we have hope of Salvation. The angel said,
“She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” Matthew 1:21

Did you get that? Whoever “hears my word and BELIEVES him who sent me has ETERNAL LIFE…” And listen to this: and they “will not be judged but have crossed over from death to life.”
We don’t have to fear the judgment. Jesus paid the penalty for our sins. We already have eternal life – if we believe. Do you believe?
Well, Christmas is over. Everyone is a little tired; a little wore out; a little down. But take courage! There is hope! After Christmas, we have, 1. the hope of salvation from our sins; 2. We have the hope that we are never alone; 3. we have the hope of eternal life.

LET US PRAY
Jesus, thank you for your prescense here today. Thank you for your promise of eternal life. Forgive me for my unbelief and lack of faith. Forgive me for doubting and rebelling. I surrender my will and my heart to you. Come dwell in me. See me through to the very end.
Amen

Kemi Olunloyo Insults Pastor E.A. Adeboye Again

Kemi Olunloyo Insults Pastor E.A. Adeboye Again

Controversial daughter of former governor of Oyo State, Victor Omololu Olunloyo, Kemi Olunloyo, is at it again and as is her recent penchant for insulting important men of God in Nigeria, she has once again taken Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, to the cleaners by pouring insults on the revered preacher.

The self acclaimed social activist and gay rights protector, and obviously hater of Christianity, posted on her Facebook page that Pastor Adeboye is gay and a member of an occult group and should not step foot into Ibadan, her enclave.

Her warning was subsequent to news that Pastor Adeboye was due in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, for a church programme.

This is what the controversial lady wrote:

"Cultist and Gay Pastor, E. A. ADEBOYE, will be in Ibadan. Since he is coming to leave my city with his CURSE, I hope his private plane crashes on take off at Alakia if curses rain that day.

"Post a comment and try disrespecting my views on my page and you will see the block button fast. Do you think Adeboye is an overstretched modern cultist who sells pure water, bread, schools with N635,000 a term tuition, filled with cocaine addicted children and simply turned his congregation into religious bondage? The church is a business and not a place to fool and lie others."
Not yet done, she fired another missile on Pastor Adeboye:

"ADEBOYE spelled backwards means EYOBEDA, (Take the Knife out). Where? Not in my city. Take it out in your church on the Express and stab every congregation member in the back as you’ve done.

"Don’t let any mega-pastor stab u in the back. They cannot pay your child’s school fees or let u attend their schools easily. N630,000 per term!"

So what do we make of this lady?

Happy Xmas from Pastor Israel

What are you waiting for

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: What Are You Waiting For?

Luke 2:25 KJV
And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.

Let me ask you some questions. What are you waiting for this Christmas? Are you longing for anything? What are you expecting to receive? Are you looking forward to anything special this Christmas?

In the Gospel of Luke, we come across two characters who make their appearance in the final acts of the Christmas drama. One is a man named Simeon; the other is a woman named Anna. They dont appear in any nativity scenes or in many Christmas cards, but they are significant players in the first Christmas pageant. Both of these individuals were waiting for something actually, they were waiting for someone.

Luke uses a Greek word of anticipation that identifies them as waiting with expectation for the coming of the Messiah, or Savior. It literally means that they were 揳lert to His appearance, and ready to welcome Him. We see this word in Luke 2:25 in reference to Simeon where we read that he was waiting... and in 2:38 to describe a woman named Anna who was, ...looking forward to...

Simeon
Waiting For Comfort
We抮e introduced to Simeon in Luke 2:25. How there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon Him. Simeon was righteous before people, and he was devout in His relationship with God.

Things were not going real well for the nation of Israel. They had not heard from God for many years and were under Roman rule. They had lost their political independence and were living in fear of the capable, crafty, and cruel King Herod, and many were wondering if the Messiah would ever come.

Verse 26 shows us that Simeon had good reason for his hope and anticipation: that had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord Christ.

Simeon expectation focused on the comfort that Christ would bring. Among Jews of Simeon抯 day one of the popular titles of Messiah was Comforter. Like some of the Christmas songs we just sang, they were longing for the Messiah to come and bring His comfort to them.

It strikes me that the desire to be comforted is a universal human need. We all struggle with loneliness, emptiness, insecurity, even desperation. In fact, the Christmas season is one of the major crisis times of the year for depression and suicide.

The Holy Spirit prompted Simeon to go to the temple courts at just the right time on just the right day that Joseph and Mary were bringing their infant to the Temple. When Simeon looked at the baby Jesus, now about 6 weeks old, he knew that God promise had been kept. Here was Immanuel, lord With Us, to make everything right, to provide significance by His presence, and to eliminate rejection, fear, and loneliness.

What are your expectation friends, Jesus is born for you to fulfill your desire,
Firstly to give you salvation, blessing, favour, and your daily bread halleluyah

LET US PRAY
FATHER LORD JESUS LET THIS SEASON BRING US ALL THE DIVINE PACKAGE OUR SOUL DESIRE IN JESUS NAME

HAPPY CHRISTMAS

Meaning of Christmas

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: MEANING OF CHRISTMAS

What is the real meaning of Christmas?

Scripture: Luke 2:8-14

Purpose: Do we go through all the decorating, & buying presents, & preparing elaborate meals, but somehow forget whose birthday it really is? What does Christmas mean to you?

At Christmas time we find ourselves getting all wrapped up with the business of the holiday rather than the true meaning of what Christmas is all about. This Christmas I pray that we can focus on the greatest gift of all, the gift that God sent to us through the Virgin Mary long ago.
It seems that throughout the years we, instead of realizing the true meaning of Christmas, have wrapped Jesus up with wrapping paper decorated with Santa, Sugar plums, Egg Nog and the almighty dollar.
- It is time we unwrap JESUS and realize what Christmas is all about. This month we will be unwrapping Christmas to get a better look at it and to enjoy what God has given to us. Let’s unwrap the best present of all!

A. What do you think Christmas means to the non-Christian. To someone that has never accepted His love and forgiveness.
- What do you think Christmas means to someone that lives in a far off region, living in a hut, who knows nothing of Santa, presents or Christmas trees? What do you suppose Christmas mean to them?

- What do you think it means to little children in a third world country with no running water & empty bellies? What does Christmas mean to them?

- What Christmas means to each of you. Do you cherish the truths?

B. I’m sure that it means different things to different people.

To merchants it is the busiest time of the year. Stores stay open longer, & hire extra people to accommodate all the shoppers. It means more profit, hopefully enough profit to see them through lean times ahead.
For some employees it means a Christmas bonus, a little more money in their pockets to do things that they want to do.

For many teen-agers & adults it is a time of fun & parties. For children it is a time of impatience, with time seeming to pass so slowly, as they wait for Christmas morning.

Illustration: But sometimes I get the feeling that we are like the folks who decided to throw a party to honor a very special friend. They sent out invitations, decorated the hall, & had the food catered. All the people came together at the designated time, but to their surprise, the guest of honor was not there.

Finally, they made the embarrassing discovery that no one had ever invited the guest of honor.

- I wonder? Do we go through all the decorating, & buying presents, & preparing elaborate meals, but somehow forget whose birthday it really is?

- It isn’t our birthday, is it? It’s the Lord’s birthday & it’s a time to remember His birth & what it is supposed to mean to us.

So please READ Luke 2:8-14. CONTINUE TOMORROW

LET US PRAY
LORD JESUS I INVITE YOU WITH THE WHOLE OF MY HEART IN TO MY LIFE, COME AND TAKE YOUR PLACE IN ME IN JESUS NAME AND LET YOUR PURPOSE BE FULFIL IN ME FOREVER

GOOD MORNING BRETHREN AND HAPPY XMAS

THERE IS A PLACE CALLED HEAVEN

IOI CHRISTIAN MEAL
WHERE WILL YOU END UP PT6

TOPIC: There Is A Place Called Heaven -

Just as the broad road has its destination, the narrow way does too. This road doesn't end in Hell, but it ends in Heaven above. Jesus promised those who would follow this way life. Not just life down here, but everlasting, glorious life in the realms of light above this wicked, perishing world.
If Hell is a place of horror, pain, separation and suffering, then Heaven is a place of joy, rest, peace, unspeakable beauty and glory. Everything that Hell isn't Heaven is! Just a brief glimpse at the glories of that city tell me that that's where I want to end up. Consider these truths about that splendid place.

1. No Tears, pain, sorrow, death, etc - Rev. 21:4

2. No Sin - Rev. 21:8

3. No Night - Rev. 21:25

4. No Curse - Rev. 22:3

5. With God and Jesus - Rev. 21:3; 22-23; 22:4

6. A Glorious City - Rev. 21:11-24

7. Glories beyond description and beyond the ability of man to comprehend and understand - 1 Cor. 2:9.

The narrow road may be the more costly of the 2 down here, but the end of the road is worth the price for the child of God. So what if we walked a bit out of step down here? So what if we were misunderstood? So what if we did without some things that the rest of the world indulged in and seemed to enjoy? When we get to Heaven, the trials of the road will seem as nothing! The past will be behind us and all the glories of eternity with Jesus will be unfolding before us. The journey will be over and we will be home - John 14:1-3. Where are you going to end up?)

LET US PRAY
FATHER IN JESUS NAME, GIVE US YOUR SPIRIT, LOVE, PEACE, AND HOLINESS THAT WILL HELP OUR JOURNEY TO HEAVEN AND REMOVE EVERY PART OF SIN OUT OF US IN JESUS NAME.

There Are Two Possible Directions In Life

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL
WHERE WILL YOU END UP PT5

TOPIC: . There Are Two Possible Directions In Life

THERE ARE TWO POSSIBLE DESTINATIONS IN ETERNITY

All roads end somewhere. There used to be a saying about 2,000 years ago that went, "All roads lead to Rome." Well, all roads lead somewhere and the same is true with the roads we are considering this morning. They lead somewhere and since everyone here is on one or the other, we need to find out where we are going!

A. There Is A Place Called Hell - Jesus tells us here that the broad road leads to "destruction." When we think of something being destroyed, we usually think about something be annihilated and forever done away with. This word, however, refers to "loss". It speaks of total and absolute ruin. In all honesty, it refers to loss one suffers in the fires of Hell. My friends, the broad road ends in Hell. Every person who chooses the broad way will eventually find themselves in the fires of Hell. That, to me, is the most awful thought my mind ever tried to understand. What makes it so terrible is that some of you are headed there right now! Allow me to give you a little insight into this place where the broad way ends.

1. Unquenchable fire - Mark 9:43; Luke 16:24

2. Memory and Remorse - Luke 16:25; 27-28

3. Unsatisfied Thirst - Luke 16:24-25

4. Frustration and Anger - Luke 13:28; Matt. 24:51

5. Unspeakable Pain and Misery - Luke 16:24-26; Rev. 14:10-11

6. Eternal Separation - Rev. 21:8; 2 Thes. 1:9

7. Undiluted Wrath - Rev. 20:15 (Ill. There will be no more mercy or respite. Hell will be eternally real and eternally awful.)

Regardless of what men think, Hell is real and every second lost souls drop off into the searing heat of that horrible place. No matter how I tried, I could never adequately describe Hell, but if I were to be able to exhaust all the vocabulary of English and paint word pictures that conveyed the truth of that place the half would be told as to the horror that awaits everyone headed to the land of the damned. A place from which there will never be deliverance. A place to which you will surely go if you choose to follow the broad and easy road through life. Where will you end up?

LET US PRAY

LORD JESUS REDIRECT OUR STEP BACK FROM HELL TO YOUR HEAVENLY KINGDOM, AND MAKE US CANDIDATE OF HEAVEN IN JESUS NAME

There is a narrow way

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL
WHERE WILL YOU END UP PT4.

TOPIC: There Is A Narrow Way

While the Broad way is wide open and easy, the other way a person can live is called "narrow". This word refers to a "grape press". It has the idea of being constricted, it can also carry the idea of being distressed and difficult.

You see, the narrow way is exactly the opposite of the broad way. On the narrow way, you cannot take all your sins with you. If you try, you will find that there isn't enough room for you and them. When you walk the narrow way, you must choose to give up your rights. You can no longer do as you please, but you must do those things that please the Lord.

You cannot make the rules, but you are expected to keep the Lord's rules.

Some people have the mistaken idea that they can live as they please and that the Lord is obligated to smile down on them and just bless them real good. In truth, when you walk the narrow way, you should expect some difficulty. After all, these fleshly bodies will resist the confines of the narrow way. The sinful natures will find the narrow way to tight and constrictive.
How many say they are saved, and yet they try to walk in the broad way nonetheless? No one ever said that living for the Lord would be easy! No one ever said that living a separated Christian life that honors the Lord would be simple and as fun as living a life that gratifies the flesh.

However, living for the Lord brings with it certain benefits that cannot be obtained by any other means. Notice some facts about living the narrow way.

1. It honors God - 1 Pet. 1:16

2. It brings His blessings and power into your life - 2 Chron.. 7:14.

3. It offers a far better life from every perspective - Heb. 11:25; Gal. 6:8-9.

Nobody ever said that it was easy, but it the only way to honor the Lord and to be His Disciple - Matt. 16:24; Luke 14:26-27. It's a life lived in surrender, devotion, dedication and obedience to God. It is a life that He will bless! Sounds tough, but it's worth it!)

Which road are you walking on this morning?
. . . I WILL CONTINUE TOMORROW

LET US PRAY
LORD JESUS HELP US TO WALK WITH ALL ENDURANCE IN THIS NARROW WAY AND GIVE US YOUR ARMOR OF HOLINESS IN JESUE NAME

GOOD MORNING BRETHREN

There is a broad way

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL
WHERE WILL YOU END UP PT3

TOPIC: There Is A Broad Way -

The word broad means "spacious." Jesus says that there is a spacious road upon which a person can walk. What does He mean by this "broad road"? The idea that Jesus is trying to convey is that the broad way is wide open. In other words, anything goes on the broad way.
You can do anything you like, you can carry all the baggage of your sins, you can live like you want to live, you can call all the shot and make all the rules! You can be king of the road on the broad way. When you walk the broad way, you can be your own person and not have to answer to anyone. You can live life to the fullest.
Go where you will, do what you will and be what you will. It is your life and you call the shots. It is an easy way to live, because there is no one to please but yourself! That is what the broad way is all about!

There is a sinister side to the dark way that the open-minded, pleasure seekers fail to mention to those who travel this road. There are a couple of things you need to know before you decide to live out the rest of your life traveling the broad way.

1. You aren't really in control -
Eph. 2:1-3 (You are nothing more than a pawn of the devil, Ill. John 8:44)

2. Sin brings with it pain and sorrow -
Gal. 6:7; Pro. 13:15 (Il. The Jukes family - There has been careful research in to the history of one criminal family known as Jukes, and it is conspicuous for a long line of pauperism, waste, imbecility, insanity, prostitution and drunkenness. A total of 1,200 decedents have been traced from this prolific family tree. Some 400 were physically self-wrecked, 310 were professional paupers, 130 were convicted criminals, 60 were perpetual thieves and pick pockets, and 7 were murders. Out of the 1,200, only 20 ever learned a trade and 10 of these learned it while in prison! Sin carries a high price tag!)

3. God offers a better alternative -
God has a plan whereby those who follow Him enjoy the fullest of God's rich blessings day by day. Things like peace, John 14:27; Phil. 4:6; joy, 1 Pet. 1:8; assurance of salvation, 1 John 5:13. There are multitudes of other things which the Lord gives to us, and you'll never find a single on of the while traveling the broad road!)

. . . Continue tomorrow

LET US PRAY,
IN JESUS NAME, MERCIFUL GOD, RETURN US BACK TO THE RIGHT ROAD TO THE KINGDOM, AND LEAD US THROUGH IN JESUS NAME.

Where will you end up pt 2

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: WHERE WILL YOU END UP, continue pt2

This life has been described as nothing more than a brief pause between two very long eternities. Now, that shouldn't take any of us by surprise. After all, we are surrounded by death from the day we born into the world. Loved ones pass away, friends leave this world, and deep inside, we know that it will happen to us someday as well. The fact that you will not live forever is a common theme throughout the Bible.
Notice some of these notable passages, James 4:14; Job 9:25; Job 14:1; Psa. 78:39; Psa. 90:10; Isa. 40:7-8.

Since we are going to leave this world some day soon, and when we do, we will continue to live either in Heaven or Hell forever, it is essential that you know where you will end up. I would like to take these 2 verses and talk for a while around this question, "Where will you end up?" As I do, please allow the Lord to speak to your heart. You may not like this message, but you need to know where you are going when you leave this world more than anything else in this world or the one to come.

My prayer is that every individual will be able to answer this question today.

I. THERE ARE TWO POSSIBLE DIRECTIONS IN LIFE

Jesus tells His audience that there are only two possible roads in which one can walk. Many in our day want to tell us that there are many paths a person can travel through life, however, Jesus limits the choices to just two. Some may feel that this is a narrow view. I guess that they are correct. However, Jesus is correct regardless of what the world thinks, Rom. 3:4.
Let's discuss these two roads in which man can spend his days tomorrow as I bring part 3 to you again
All I want you to know today is that, how prepare are you to leave this old world, because its a must as this year is ending, one day our life will end too, that should not be a problem to a true believe since everyone knows about this
But for us to know and not prepare is what I call foolishness. So prepare daily so that you will put your hope up where you have build

LETS PRAY

LORD JESUS PLEASE HELP US TO PREPARE FOR OUR HOME IN HEAVEN AND DONT LET US MISS IT AT ALL IN JESUS NAME

There Is Nothing Like Hell Fire, No Rapture ––Says Pastor Dikeh

Founder of “As The Lord Said, It Should Be Done Temple”, Pastor Blessed Oguguamakwa Dikeh seems to be in the mould of those who are out to challenge the status quo. He has declared that Christians should forget about the second coming of Jesus Christ (rapture), saying that it would never come to pass.
In his words: “There is nothing like hell fire after life. Heaven is here on earth already. When you are suffering, you are in hell fire. If you are in poverty and cannot pay your house rent then you are already in hell. But when you are in heaven, even if you reside in a flat, your landlord will come and beg you for money. He would even say don’t worry, I will give the other tenant quit notice for you.”
In an Interview with Daily Independent, Pastor Dikeh further insisted that:
“There is nothing like rapture. If you tell me that rapture means when a person dies, his soul goes back to God and his flesh to the dust, then I will agree, but anything other than that, I don’t agree. Don’t let anybody deceive you.

He also stated (like the Jehovah Witnesses) that there’s no hell fire after death.

Pastor Dikeh also dropped another controversial statement:
“I pray in the name of God, because my father, Adam, did not pray in Jesus’ name. Jesus is a servant like me. He has finished his assignment and has gone. I am a servant too. When I finish my work, I will go. Jesus has done a good job, but I have problem with people who are giving him the honour that is not due him. If you say Jesus is the saviour of the whole world, who then is God?”

The pastor recently came under heavy criticism by Nigerians over his strange biblical beliefs and the purported serving of alcohol to members in his church.

See How A Pastor Stab His Wife For Refusing To Go To Church

Could this be described as the work of the devil or simply a Pastor's inhumanity to his wife?
Men of the Ogun State Police command have arrested a-45-year-old man, Pastor Daniel Samuel for stabbing his wife over her refusal to attend church activities. Daniel, an Apostolic Church pastor was said to have used a cutlass to inflict deep cuts on his wife, Mrs Patient Samuel in her neck in Ogun State.

Funny enough, after Pastor Daniel attacked his wife with the cutlass, he alerted neighbours and lied that his wife was matcheted by some unknown men, and pleaded with them to help him take her to the hospital.

The offence of his 42-year-old wife was that she decided to take care of her personal work that morning, due to pressure, but the pastor insisted that she must leave the work and come with him to church.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the incident. He said, “The pastor is with us, he initially lied to the police that his wife was attacked by some men, but later confessed after interrogation. He will soon be charged to court for false information and wounding.”

, our correspondent observed that the pastor’s wife could only utter some incoherent words when she was asked questions.

The Consultant of Orthopaedics and Trauma at the FMC, Doctor Ojeblenu, who is in charge of the patient, said the woman would remain under close observation because of the depth of the injury.

Pastor arrested for selling his grandchild for N200,000

Biblical apostles are turning in their graves over a pastor, Rev. Michael Oguguo, 52, who sold the baby of his daughter, Chiamaka Oguguo, for the sum of N200,000 with the connivance of a clinic in Umuechem, Etche, Rivers State where the baby was born.

Rev. Oguguo, a native of Ejemekwuru in Oguta is the minister of 11th Deliverance Ministry, Nkwesi, Oguta, Imo State while the clinic is operated by Cyprian Phat, a homeopathic medicine practitioner.

It was learnt from the Imo State Commissioner of Police, Mr Mohammed Katsina, the sordid story started when Chiamaka was impregnated by her boyfriend, whose name was given as Chinedu Ukachukwu.

Recalling the painful experience, 18-year-old Chiamaka said: “I was impregnated by my boyfriend Chinedu Ukachukwu who lied to me that he was not married. Later I learnt that he is married with four children. When my father, Rev Oguguo heard that I was pregnant, instead of accepting me with my condition, he threw me out of the house and I slept in an uncompleted building for days. My father encouraged me to abort the pregnancy, but I didn’t listen to him.”

As Chiamaka got close to the delivery date, a pastor colleague of her father lured her to New Life Clinic in Umuechem, Etche, Rivers State, operated by Cyprian Phat, who, the Police Commissioner said, masqueraded as a medical doctor. He further revealed that Phat held Chiamaka captive for about one month until she gave birth to a baby girl.

The twist in the tale occurred when Chiamaka’s father who had initially abandoned her suddenly re-surfaced after hearing of her safe delivery of the baby.

Continuing the tale, Chiamaka said: “When I saw him, I thought he came to rejoice with me. I did not know he came with a devilish intent. Like magic, my baby girl disappeared from my bed. I thought she was taken for treatment. I didn’t know that my father had connived with the doctor and sold my baby to one Chinwe Okuzu, 25, a Business Studies student of Abia State Polytechnic for the sum of N200,000.”

Recounting his role in the baby sale caper, Phat who hails from Mgbele in Oguta LGA, Imo State, said: “I claimed to be a homeopathic practitioner. I was deported from Austria in 1988 after I was unable to undergo training as a mechanic. I returned home in 1993 and started practicing homeopathic medicine. Chiamaka Oguguo came to my clinic to deliver a baby girl. Later her father, Rev Oguguo came to my clinic and said we should sell the baby girl. We arranged with a lady, Chinwe Okuzu who bought the baby at N200,000 at the clinic at Umuechem Etche, Rivers State. Later the police came to arrest me and I have confessed to them.”

The next link in the chain of infamy, Okuzu, a native of Umuchi in Ihitte Uboma LGA Imo State, confirmed buying the baby but added that she did so on behalf of one Mrs Rose Nwadinaobi, who runs a baby factory, from whom she collected a share of the proceeds from the sale.

Her words: “I am an agent to Mrs Rose Nwadinaobi who took the child from me and I have not been able to locate her since I was arrested me.”

The bubble burst for the conspirators when Chiamaka screamed blue murder, raising dust over the disappearance of the newborn baby girl. As it stands now her only wish and utmost desire is to be re-united with her baby, as she wails unceasingly: “My cry is that I need my baby girl. They should return my baby girl to me. I have disowned my father who claims to be a reverend in the church. He is not a man of God. He is just deceiving the congregation. If he can do this to me his own daughter what would he do to others? He does not have the fear of God. I am ready to carry my cross and care for my baby. Today’s men of God are so deceitful.”

Meanwhile, there is a glimmer of hope that the baby girl may be found as the Imo State Police Commissioner disclosed that Rose Nwadinobi, who bought the newborn is already in the police custody. He further said that the suspects would soon appear in court.

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAN

TOPIC: WHERE WILL YOU END UP?

Text: Matthew 7:13-14 KJV
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: [14] Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Intro: I would like to share an observation with you that I have made over the years. Now, this is profound, so hang onto your hats: Where you wind up depends on which road you take! In other words, you cannot go south from here and expect to go to New Your City. You cannot go east from here and wind up at the Mississippi. I realize you could do this if you were to circumnavigate the globe, but using the roads which are in place now, it would be absolutely impossible for you to do that. Just as this is true in the physical realm, it is also true in the spiritual realm.

Where you wind up in eternity will be determined by the road you take here on earth. It is impossible to take the wrong road and go to Heaven, and it is impossible to take the Heavenly road and go to Hell. What you do while in this world will determine forever, where you spend your forever.

I don't won't to bore you with long word, in this sermon I will continue tomorrow, there are many things to discus on this topic, please don't miss any of my Morning Mean this period as it will bless you amen.

LETS PRAY

FATHER IN JESUS NAME, SET OUR FIT UPON THE RIGHT ROAD THAT LEAD TO HEAVEN HERE ON EARTH SO AS NOT TO MISS ALL IN JESUS NAME AMEN

Finally ASUU Signs Agreement With FG, Calls Off Strike

Technically, the ASUU strike has come to an end as government has finally done the needful...
The Federal Government and the leadership of ASUU led by its President, Dr. Nasir Fagge, has signed the much talked about Memoradum of Understanding on the restructured 2009 Agreement, on Wednesday.

ASUU President, Dr. Fagge said the document signed would be presented to the union to take an affirmative and positive stand on the suspension of the 5 months old industrial action. He said with the signing of the MOU the 5month old strike would come to an end in approximately one week from now...

In the words of the ASUU President:
"This is the response to the letter we wrote to Mr. President and this document would now be forwarded to our members and our members would give us direction. We are hoping that we would be able to meet with our members in less than a week.

"I don’t have the power to call off the industrial action, it is only our members that can do that. And our members gave us a message to give to the Federal Government which we have done and within one week our members would meet. We already have the document which shows that Government is committed”.

The ASUU President said the development and revitalization of Nigeria’s education sector is for our benefit.

“It is never too late for the nation to turn a new leaf and do what is right. Other countries that are smaller and less powerful than Nigeria have done it and have succeeded. It is rather unfortunate that Nigeria is not close to some of these smaller nations around us. It is now, we must properly fund our universities, we have lost lot of capital to nations like Ghana and Togo”, Fagge said.

He therefore assured Nigerians that ASUU would not take long in ensuring that the right thing is done.

IOI SPECIAL MEAL TITLE: WHAT IS LOVE

IOI SPECIAL MEAL

TITLE: What Is Love? Defining True Love

Poets and authors have tried to define love for centuries, whereas scientists have only recently started. Many of us know intuitively that love is a major purpose for living; that connection is inherent in all that we do, and without love, we cannot survive as a species.

But what is love, and how do we know when we're in it? First, let's start off with what love isn't.

What Is Love? It Definitely Isn't...

Manipulation. "If you loved me, then you would..." isn't love, but rather infatuation.

Compromising who you are. If someone asks you to do or say something that isn't in your nature, that isn't true love. Although love does involve compromises between partners, someone who is in love with you will never ask you to change who you are in order to be loved.

Violent. Passions can definitely become inflamed with someone you love, but a relationship with physical or emotional violence isn't true love.

Just lust. Yes, chemistry and physical attraction are important, but true love also includes commitment, trust and respect.

So then, what exactly is love?

True Love Is...

True Love is Caring. The ancient Greeks had many different names for different forms of love: passion, virtuous, affection for the family, desire, and general affection. But no matter how love is defined, they all hold a common trait: caring.

True Love is Attractive. Attraction and chemistry form the bond that allows people to mate. Without this romantic desire for another individual, a relationship is nothing more than lust or infatuation.

True Love is Attached. Like the mother-child bond, attachment comes after the initial attraction. Attachment is the long term love that appears anywhere from one to three years into a romantic relationship (sometimes sooner and very rarely after), and you'll know you've found it when you can honestly say, "I've seen the worst and the best you have to offer, and I still love you," while your partner feels the same way.

True Love is Commited. When it comes to true love, commitment is more than just monogamy. Its the knowledge that your partner cares for you and has your back, no matter what the circumstances. People who are strongly commited to one another will, when faced with seemingly negative information about their partner, see only the positive. For example, a friend comments that your partner doesn't say a lot. "Ah yes, he's the strong, silent type," you reply. People with less commitment to their partner would instead say something like, "Yeah, I can never have conversation with him. Its annoying."

True Love is Intimate. Intimacy is a crucial component of all relationships, regardless of their nature. In order to know another, you need to share parts of yourself. This self-revealing behavior, when reciprocated, forms an emotional bond. Over time this bond strengthens and even evolves, so that two people merge closer and closer together. Intimacy by itself if is a great friendship, but compiled with the other things in this list, it forms an equation for true love.

WHAT HAPPEN WHEN THE LOVE OF GOD IS IN YOU

IOI CHRISTIAN MEAN

TOPIC: WHAT HAPPEN WHEN THE LOVE OF GOD IS IN YOU

When the love of God is present in the life of a believer, it will be visible in5 different areas.

1. Love For The Savior (Ill. John 14:15- If you love me keep my commandments!) (Ill. Ephesus - Rev. 2:4- you have left your first love

2. Love For The Scriptures (John 5:39)

5. Love For The Sinners -. Jesus had a heart for sinners - (Ill. God's love is more than just being loved! It is opening our lives so that the Lord can love through us. So that He can reach a world for Himself.)

Conc: We ought to praise the Lord today for His overwhelming love! We can shout, we can run, we can turn flips and act like monkeys, but the best means we have of thanking Him for His love is by letting Him love through our lives and reach others for Jesus. I invite you to join me today as I ask the Lord to help me to love like Jesus. I thank Him for loving me, and I am sure you do too. Today let's show that love for God by doing His will and being what He would have us be, and by loving like He would have us love. By loving others exactly as we have been loved by God - Matt. 22:39- you shall love your neighbor as yourself!!.

LETS PRAY
FATHER LORD JESUS, TEACH US YOUR PERFECT LOVE AND LET THE MANIFESTATION OF ALL THIS POINT LISTED ABOVE BEGIN IN OUR LIFE IN JESUS NAME

It's Hard to Be a Shepherd

It's Hard to Be a Shepherd

Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, serving as overseers – not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not greedy for money, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away. ~ I Peter 5:2-4

READING: John 21:15-17
Sheep are dumb. They are totally dependent on the shepherd. They don’t have claws, speed, flight or fangs to ward off their predators.

The role of the shepherd is not easy. Sheep are messy and shoveling sheep manure in the sheep pen is not a fun job. However, those who pastor need to understand they are “pasturers.” They feed the sheep, tend the sheep, shear the sheep (not skin the sheep) and provide for the sheep.

Those of us who have been bitten by a sheep, butted by a ram, stepped on or kicked by a mad ewe (female sheep), or pooped on by a lamb, need to meditate on the words of Peter in I Peter 5. Even with a bold, Type A personality, Peter had a shepherd’s heart as the lead pastor on the launch day of the first church on the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2.

During the hard times when the sheep are hard to manage, persevere. Hang in there! Remember there is a special crown of glory for the shepherd.

Lets Pray
Lord Jesus, I pray that today I will bring honor to you as I tend to the sheep you have entrusted to my care, in the name of the One who laid down his life for me – a stubborn sheep. Amen.

TOPIC: THIS LOVE IS DISPLAYED IN THE CHRISTIAN

TEXT: 1 John 4:11-12 KJV
Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. [12] No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

A. It will be visible if it is possessed!

B. Notice throughout the Bible, there have been men who demonstrated God's love:

1. Forgiving Love -
Joseph - Gen. 45:1-8……lied about, sold as a slave, ripped from his home and father, falsely accused. put in prison, waiting waiting waiting all because of his jealous brothers!……..YET HE STILL FORGAVE…………………What’s your hangup?

2. Redeeming Love -
Hosea - Hos. 3:1-3…………wife named Gomer…..a prostitute….yet!!….what redeeming love!

3. Compassionate Love –
Peter denied Him …..lied about Him…..Yet Jesus still said……..On this Rock I will build my church!

4. Healing Love Me…………..angry…..bitter……jealous……..burning with lust………Yet Jesus still reached down and picked me up out of the sewer!………Psalm 103:1-4

FATHER LORD IN JESUS NAME, LET YOUR LOVE REDEEM US, DELIVER US, SAVE US, BLESS US, AND PROTECT US FROM ALL EVIL MORE THAN BEFORE IN JESUS NAME

Obasanjo to Jonathan: It Will Be "Fatally Morally Flawed" To Contest in 2015!

An apparently angry and frustrated ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo has written what clearly competes as one of the most acerbic letters in modern history to President Goodluck Jonathan, accusing him of ineptitude and of taking actions calculated at destroying Nigeria.

"Nigeria is bleeding and the hemorrhage must be stopped," Mr. Obasanjo said in the 18-page letter dated December 2, 2013.

He said Mr. Jonathan has failed to deliver on his promises to the Nigerian people, stem corruption, promote national unity and strengthen national security.

He said in the letter titled "Before it is too late" that rather than take steps to advance Nigeria's interest and up the standards of living of Nigerians, Mr. Jonathan had betrayed God and the Nigerian people that brought him to power, and has been pursuing selfish personal and political interests based on advice he receives from "self-centred aides".

In the detailed letter, dripping of anger , frustration and what appears a genuine concern to rescue a nation on the brink, Mr. Obasanjo lamented that Mr. Jonathan had become terribly divisive and clannish, destroying his own party, polarizing the country along regional and religious lines and ridiculing Nigeria in the comity of nations.

Without mincing words, Mr. Obasanjo blamed Mr. Jonathan for the crises tearing the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, apart.

He said apart from using party chairman Bamanga Tukur to cause multiple crises and divide the ranks of the party, the president's failure to keep a promise he made not to seek a second term is also generating tension within the ruling party.

"It would be unfair to continue to level full blames on the Chairman (Tukur) for all that goes wrong with the party," Mr. Obasanjo said. "The chairman is playing the tune dictated by the paymaster (Jonathan). But the paymaster is acting for a definitive purpose for which deceit and deception seem to be the major ingredients.

"Up till two months ago, Mr. President, you told me that you have not told anybody that you would contest in 2015. I quickly pointed out to you that the signs and the measures on the ground do not tally with your statement. You said the same to one other person who shared his observation with me. And only a fool would believe that statement you made to me judging by what is going on. I must say it is not ingenious. You may wish to pursue a more credible and more honorable path."

The former President said Mr. Jonathan told him before the 2011 election he would not seek a second term, and made the same promise to governors, party stakeholders and Nigerians.

{read_more}

The president's refusal to keep that promise cast him as a man without honour, Mr. Obasanjo said.

Saying it would be "fatally morally flawed" for Mr. Jonathan to contest in 2015, Mr. Obasanjo added, "As a leader, two things you must cherish and hold dear among others are trust and honour both of which are important ingredients of character. I will want to see anyone in the Office of the Presidency of Nigeria as a man or woman who can be trusted, a person of honour in his words and character."

Mr. Obasanjo also accused Mr. Jonathan of anti-party conducts - supporting opposition parties' candidates in governorship elections in Lagos, Ondo, Edo and Anambra states at the detriment of PDP's own candidates -, and of pitting party members against one another.

Saying the President had failed to address the underlying causes of the Boko Haram menace, Mr. Obasanjo urged Mr. Jonathan to adopt a carrot and stick approach in dealing with the insurgency explaining that "conventional military actions based on standard phases of military operations alone will not permanently and effectively deal with the issue of Boko Haram".

Mr. Obasanjo also tackled Mr. Jonathan for allegedly being clannish. "For you to allow yourself to be "possessed", so to say, to the exclusion of most of the rest of Nigerians as an "Ijaw man" is a mistake that should never have been allowed to happen. Yes, you have to be born in one part of Nigeria to be Nigerian if not naturalized but the Nigerian President must be above ethnic factionalism. And those who prop you up as of, and for 'Ijaw nation' are not your friends genuinely, not friends of Nigeria nor friends of 'Ijaw nation' they tout about.

"To allow or tacitly encourage people of 'Ijaw nation' to throw insults on other Nigerians from other parts of the country and threaten fire and brimstone to protect your interest as an Ijaw man is myopic and your not openly quieting them is even more unfortunate.

Two Ijaw men, ex-militant Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, and a former federal commissioner for information, Edwin Clark, who carries himself around as the political godfather of the president, are known to talk down on people opposed to the president.

Mr. Obasanjo also accused Mr. Jonathan of placing over 1000 Nigerians on political watch list and "training snipers and other armed personnel secretly and clandestinely acquiring weapons to match for political purposes like Abacha and training them where Abacha trained his killers".

He wondered why the Presidency was providing assistance for a murderer to evade justice.

"Presidential assistance for a murderer to evade justice and presidential delegation to welcome him home can only be in bad taste generally but particularly to the family of his victim," Mr. Obasanjo said. "Assisting criminals to evade justice cannot be part of the job of the presidency. Or, as it is viwed in some quarters, is he being recruited to do for you what he had done for Abacha in the past? Hopefully, he should have learned his lesson. Let us continue to watch."

Mr. Obasanjo did not mention the name of the murderer he accused the President of protecting but he seems to be referring to Hamza Al-Mustapha, a former security aide to late Head of State, General Sani Abacha, who is facing trial for allegedly masterminding the killing of Kudirat Abiola, the wife of Moshood Abiola, the winner of the annulled 1993 presidential election.

Mr. Al-Mustapha was freed by the appeal court in July but the Lagos state government has since appealed the judgment at the Supreme Court.

The former President also called on the National Assembly to rise up and take decisive action over the recent allegation in the country that the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation failed to remit billions of dollars in proceeds of crude oil sales to the federation account.

"This allegation will not fly away by non-action, cover-up, denial or bribing possible investigators," Mr. Obasanjo told the President. "Please deal with this allegation transparently and let the truth be known.

"The dramatis personae in this allegation and who they are working for will one day be public knowledge. Those who know are watching if the National Assembly will not be accomplice in the heinous crime and naked grand corruption. May God grant you the grace for at least one effective corrective action against high corruption which seems to stink all around you in your government."

Mr. Obasanjo said he wrote the letter in the national interest, saying nothing, at this stage of his life, would prevent him from standing up for whatever he considers to be in the best interest of Nigeria, Africa and the world.

He said he was ready for whatever backlash his letter would provoke from the presidency.

"Knowing what happens around you most of which you know of and condone or deny, this letter will proke cacophony from hired and unhired attackers but I will maintain my serenity because by this letter, I have done my duty to you as I have always done, to your government, to the party, PDP, and to our country, Nigeria…," Mr. Obasanjo said.

"I have passed the stage of being flattered, intimidated, threatened, frightened, induced or bought… Death is the end of all human beings and may it come when God wills it to come."

Pastor Caught With Married Woman After Her Husband's Death

A pastor and a married woman said to be his lover have been arrested by police in Edo in connection with the murder of the woman’s husband, Victor Nsongbunyo, who is a Deputy Manager with the NNPC.

He was said to have been killed in Benin, capital of Edo State, by his wife and her lover, the Pastor, due to the fact that he had begun to suspect her of infidelity.

Late Mr Victor Nsongbuyo was said to have begun questioning the paternity of the children his wife has for him and the one she was expecting. Below are the shocking revelations...

Mr Victor visited their home town to complain to his family and his in-laws. Consequently, the families resolved that a DNA test would be conducted after the wife gave birth to the child. This arrangement, according to sources, incensed the wife, prompting her into plotting to murder her husband with her lover, who is a Pastor.

According to police sources, Victor returned from work on Friday October 22, 2013, his suspected killers came and killed him, and put the mutilated body into one of his old cars. The car was driven to Sapele road, Benin, where it was set ablaze with his body.

The following Monday, October 25, the woman was said to have gone to her late husband’s office to report that he was missing. She was also said to have reported the incident of the husband’s death to the police. Thereafter, she went to her husband’s bank where she allegedly withdrew N4million from his account.

It was gathered that following information to a staff of the NNPC that a burnt car was sighted somewhere along Sapele Road, they rushed to the scene and found it was the late Mr. Victor Nsongbunyo’s car.

The NNPC staff rushed to his wife at their home to inform her of the finding, but surprisingly, found her sitting comfortably at home watching African Magic, a situation which prompted police suspicion of the woman.

The police were said to have launched a search for the car given to Victor by NNPC following his promotion, and the car was reportedly traced to a compound at Ekenwan road in Benin.

The police detectives were said to have accosted a lady in the compound where the car was packed and she in fear opened up. She told the police that the car was packed by a Pastor who lives in the compound.

Further investigation by the police led them to observe burns in the Pastor’s left hand and face. The pastor had reportedly told the police that one of his daughters in the church sowed a seed with the car.

He was said to have led the police to the residence of the said "daughter" who sowed seed with the car, but it turned out that it was the residence of the deceased and it was the deceased’s wife.

The police then arrested the pastor and the deceased’s wife, both of whom are now helping the police in their investigation into the murder of Mr. Victor Nsongbunyo.

The police in Edo State say they are shocked by the ugly development.

Rev Father Pulls Out Gun, Threatens To Shoot Church Members in Imo State

It appears we are truly approaching the much talked about end time. As you read this, a Catholic priest in Imo State is being investigated by the police after reports that he was illegally in possession of weapons.

The Reverend Father is said to be in charge of a parish in the Dikenafai environs of the Ideato South LGA of the state. He is said to have threatened members of his parish and endangered their lives with three unlicensed guns believed to be in his possession, without approval.

As a result of the Reverend Father's action, many are now afraid of going to the church.
Crime Guard reliably gathered that the guns which include one pump action riffle, one double-barrelled gun and a locally-made pistol allegedly belonging to the priest were recovered from his official residence by operatives of Special Armed Robbery Squad, SARS, Imo State Police Command acting on a tip off from some concerned parishioners.

Described as a very controversial priest, the reverend father was arrested and detained briefly but granted bail by the police following the intervention of some influential religious and political leaders in the state.

Police sources said that the controversy surrounding the Catholic priest stemmed from a tragedy that occurred in January 2010, after the death of a prominent indigene of the area.

Meanwhile, investigation into the case is ongoing by the police to ascertain the source of the guns and possibly the actual purposes they are being used for.

The Rev Father may be charged to court after full police investigation had been concluded.

Chris Okotie Says “T.B. Joshua is the son of the devil and his followers will go straight to hell”

Lagos based Pastor of the Household of God Church, Kris Okotie, has said that he stood by his recent sermon where he said the Catholics and T.B. Joshua of the Synagogue Church will burn in hell fire

Since his outburst, condemnations and commendations have continued to pour on him from Nigerians who felt concerned about the statement.
In his latest tweet, the fashionable pastor simply said 'the truth is bitter'.
However, majority of Nigerians are asking Pastor Okotie who has married and divorced twice, if God does not hate divorce, according to the Scriptures.
Pastor Okotie had predicted ‘hell’ for Catholics ‘because they worship Satan and are led by an Anti-Christ Pope who is a friend to the devil’.
Okotied added that the Catholic Church was “a counterfeit church set up by Satan” and that Catholics “bow to idols and crucify Jesus every Sunday when they eat bread claiming they are eating Jesus’ body.”
“They are not Christians and have never been,” Okotie told a bewildered congregation.
“They don’t know Jesus. They believe that when they eat bread on Sundays, they are eating the body of Jesus. It’s ritual,” Okotie said.
He also alleged that Pope Francis is an Anti-Christ who does the job of the devil and that time is fast approaching when the Catholic church will pledge allegiance to Satan.
“The pope is an Anti-Christ and the Catholic church will soon declare for Satan. This is the end of times,” Okotie erupted.
Similalrly, Okotie also condemned famous preacher and philanthropist, Prophet T.B. Joshua, saying “T.B. Joshua is the son of the devil and his followers will go straight to hell”.

WHAT ARE THE FACTS ABOUT GODS LOVE

IOI CHRISTIAN MEAN

TOPIC: WHAT ARE THE FACTS ABOUT GOD'S LOVE

TEXT: 1 JOHN 4:7-12

Intro: There is nothing like the love of God! It is the most overwhelming thing I have ever encountered in my life. It is the greatest thing God ever did for any of us! The reason I can say that is this, because He loved us, He was moved to do everything else that He has done.

1 John is the great book of love. It is mentioned 46 times in 135 verses. It was written to combat a heresy known as Gnosticism. The Gnostic believed that knowledge was power. They felt that they had a special knowledge of God and His ways. John is writing to put them into their place! And, as he does, he tells the rest of us about a great God with a great love for great sinners. It's that great love of that Great God that I want to address for a few minutes. Let the Lord speak to your heart as we consider the thought, What Are The Facts About God's Love.

I. V. 7-11 THIS LOVE IS DESCRIBED IN THE CONTEXT

A. It Is Unspeakable -
I can't understand it, or why, but I know I have experienced it and I can never be separated from it - Rom. 8:38-39

B. It Is Unending
- Jer. 31:3…I have loved you with an everlasting love! God's love is eternal!

C. It Is Unselfish
- Ill. It asks for nothing in return! However, it leads man to repent and turn to God in love - Rom. 2:4; 1 John 4:19- We love him because He first loved us!

D. It Is Unmerited
- Cannot be earned or deserved!. (Ill. His love is based in His grace!) (Ill. Jesus and Jerusalem - Matt. 23:37.)

E. It Is Unconditional
- It is not based on what we can or cannot produce, it comes from the heart of God. Man can never reach a place when he will not be loved by God! God loved us first, He loved us anyway and He loves us eternally!

I WILL CONTINUE TOMORROW

LET'S PRAY

FATHER WHATEVER UGLY AND UNPLEASANT SITUATION WE ARE PASSING THROUGH LET YOU LOVE SPEAK FOR US AND TURN IT TO TESTIMONY

IOI CHRISTIAN MEAN TITLED: THE LOVE OF CHRIST JESUS

IOI CHRISTIAN MEAN

TOPIC: THE LOVE OF CHRIST JESUS

The Love of Christ John 15:9-17
Christ commanded us to love one another even as He loves us. For us to know how to love each other we must understand the character of the rich deep love that Jesus Christ that Paul describes in Ephesians 3 as surpassing knowledge.

I. His love is unmerited

A. 1 John 4:10 “In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”

B. Ephesians 2:4-7 “But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.”

C. What escapes definition is that even when we reject Him, we disobey Him, we sin against Him, God still loves us. We call it ‘grace’, unmerited love from God to His rebellious creation.

D. God’s unmerited love is given to us, people who don’t deserve His love to transform and change us into new creations.

E. We are such undeserving beneficiaries of God’s rich mercy. He reached down to us in our absolute total depravity and lifted us to Himself pouring out His grace to us.

F. Psalm 40:2 He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps.

II. His love is unlimited

A. He, who loved us forgave us, doing so without limit.

1. Revelation 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

2. Luke 23:34 Then Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do." And they divided His garments and cast lots.

B. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son…

C. Every week among the people who worship will be some who are hurting, some who have fallen once again into the old sins, some who are doubting God’s love and others who are craving it. “God so loved the world” is not an impersonal truth, but a comforting one because it impresses on us the unlimited love of God for us. He so loved us – any of us in the world, no matter what we’ve done – that He gave His only begotten Son. Even His gift to us shows His unlimited love. He did not withhold His dearest and His best. – James M. Behringer

D. Jonah 4:2 So he prayed to the LORD, and said, "Ah, LORD, was not this what I said when I was still in my country? Therefore I fled previously to Tarshish; for I know that You are a gracious and merciful God, slow to anger and abundant in loving-kindness
