The Conditions of the Sacrifice

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: The Conditions of the Sacrifice

Romans 12:1-2

Paul tells us how these bodies are to be sacrificed. He gives us two conditions that this sacrifice must meet.

1. An Awful Sacrifice -

The word "holy" means "something consecrated and set apart". It has reference to that which inspires religious awe in the sight of an observer.
Imagine how awe inspiring it would have been to have stood with Elijah on Mount Carmel as God sent the fire down from Heaven on that altar. What would it have been like to have stood beside Moses as he conversed with that burning bush?

Imagine how it would have felt to have been with Solomon at the dedication of the Temple when the fire of God fell. Those were holy times. They inspires awe in those who witnessed them.

The idea here is that when a life is totally sold out, separated and sacrificed to God the Father, it will be an awe inspiring thing! It will demonstrate the power of God like nothing else! I am convinced that God could do more in a church with one properly sacrificed life than He could with 1,000 who were half-heartedly playing the church game! I wonder how much awe our lives inspire?

2. An Acceptable Sacrifice -

The word "acceptable" means "well-pleasing, satisfying". God is pleased when a life is sacrificed on the altar of His service for His glory. It honors Him like nothing else can. It proves His power.
It shows His glory. It tells a lost world that God makes a difference in the lives He touches by His power.

The sad truth of the matter is this: we are either pleasing God or hurting Him by the way we use our bodies. If was want to be pleasing to the Lord, then our bodies must be placed on His altar, without reservation or hesitation.

By the way, note the words "brethren" and "ye". This command to sacrifice all on the altar of consecration is not just for a select few super saints. It is a command that is given to every member of the family of God.
Not a single saved person has the right to deny God the pleasure of our bodies sacrificed on His altar!
Including you

A LIVING SACRIFICE

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: A LIVING SACRIFICE

Reading Romans 12:1-2

The Consecration - We are told that these bodies are to be presented "a living sacrifice". This sounds dreadfully painful to us because we know that a sacrifice, in Bible times, was an animal that belonged to the person offering it and that the animal was put to death, its blood was shed and its flesh was burned on an altar. That does not sound like something I want to be involved in.

The difference between what the Lord is calling us to do and what He called those people in the Old Testament to do is this: Their sacrifice was to die, our sacrifice is to live! While that is true, there are also some similarities between our sacrifice and their's.

Now, just as then, the sacrifice the Lord is commanding each of us to make is costly, painful, difficult, personal and necessary. Basically, God is commanding every one of His people to lay the totality of their persons on the altar of sacrifice. But, at the same time, this sacrifice must continue to function in the world around it.

WHAT DID LIVING SACRIFICE MEANS?

1. A living sacrifice means that we are to be on the altar wherever we are. Regardless of the geographical surroundings, we are to remember that this body and all it is belongs to God. There is never an instant in life when we are out of His view or free to live as we please.

2. A living sacrifice means a constant, continuous sacrifice. This is not something we do from time to time. But we are to offer this body up to the Lord and never ask for it back again!

3. A living sacrifice means that the body sacrifices its own desires for those of God. To be a living sacrifice will require that the body does not live for the world, the flesh or the devil, but that everything the body does is held to the guidelines of the Word of God.

4. A living sacrifice means that the body is devoted to the task of serving God. This means that we are to lay down the ambitions and desires of the body and commit ourselves to doing nothing but that which God bids us to do! We are to be His vessels through which He can live and work in this world.

LET US PRAY
FATHER IN JESUS NAME, MAKE ME YOUR LIVING SACRIFICE IN JESUS NAME AMEN

THE SECRET OF HOLY LIVING

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: THE SECRET OF HOLY LIVING

Romans 12:1-2

These two verses tell us the secret of holy living. Paul tells us what God expects from us and how we are to achieve His goals for our lives. He tells us that holy living revolves around our surrender to three powerful concerns. Let's see just what they are and what they demand as we consider the thought: The Secret Of Holy Living.

V. 1 THE WORSHIP OF GOD
Notice the wording of verse one. Paul tells us that yielding of our bodies to the Lord is our "reasonable service."
The word "reasonable" comes from the same word from which we get our word "logic". So, first we see that yielding our bodies to the Lord is logical.

Then, the word "service" comes from a word which means "to perform sacred service." It has reference to the function the Levites performed in the Tabernacle and Temple. It is connected to the idea of worship.

Therefore, that phrase means that yielding our bodies to the Lord is our "logical service of worship before the Lord." In other words, when we are totally yielded to Him, it is the highest form of worship that we can render! Nothing says "I love you" to the Lord like a consecrated, dedicated, holy life,

Have you done that, are you working towards that? You can actually start today God need us to be holy to enjoy his presence always

LET US PRAY
LORD DESTROYED EVERY POVERTY OF SIN IN US IN JESUS NAME AND SHOW US YOUR SECRET OF HOLINESS.

Don't forget to join me and my family this Sunday for our THANKSGIVING, let's praise God together.

Controversy Over New International Bible Version

Apostle J Olatunde, founder, the Eagles Evangelistic Ministry, has raised a controversy over the status of the New International Version of the Holy Bible (NIV). In his words: “If you own an NIV. Did you know that it was written by Zondervan and they are owned by Harper Collins, that also publishes The Satanic Bible, and The Joy of Gay Sex?”

He added that NIV has removed 64,575 words from the Bible, including Jehovah, Calvary, Holy Ghost and omnipotent to name but a few… NIV has also removed 45 complete verses. Most of us have the Bible on our phones.

He challenged Nigerian Christians to try and find the following scriptures under NIV “on your phone right now if you don’t believe me”:

Matthew 17:21: Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
Matthew 18:11: For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.
Matthew 23:14: Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For ye devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.
Mark 7:16: If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
Mark 9:44: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
Mark 9:46: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
Luke 17:36: Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
Luke 23:17: (For of necessity he must release one unto them at the feast.)
John 5:4: For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.
Acts 8:37: And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

He submitted: “You will not believe your eyes. These verses are not in NIV Bible!”

However, a commentator, Charles Umagu, argued on Olatunde’s Facebook wall that Zondervan is the publisher of the New International Version starting in 1973. In 1988 they were bought by Haper Collins Publishers. Haper Collins in turn is owned by a company called News Corp. In 1999 News Corp bought Avon Books and merged it into their Harper Collins company. Avon Books tends to publish romance novels, but back in 1976, it published the Satanic Bible written by the founder of the Church of Satan.
Thus, Zondervan is being accused of publishing the Satanic Bible, not because it actually publishes it, “but because its parent holding company also owns another company that published this book. It would be similar to being accused of stealing because you happen to work in the same office where a former thief now works.”

7 HABITS FOR LIVING A HOLY LIFE

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: 7 HABITS FOR LIVING A HOLY LIFE

How does Scripture want us to be able to define ourselves?
1 Peter 1:15-16 (HCSB)
As the One who called you is holy, you also are to be holy in all your conduct; for it is written, Be holy, because I am holy.

There you have it, we are to be holy! Why? Because God is Holy

1. Following the SAVIOR - You Must Devote Your Life to Follow Christ

2 Timothy 2:8-9a (HCSB)
Keep in mind Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, descended from David, according to my gospel. For this I suffer, to the point of being bound like a criminal.

2. USING SCRIPTURE GUIDE TO OUR LIVE -
You Must Submit to the Authority of the Scripture as a
Daily Guide In Your Life.

Psalm 1:1-2 (HCSB) How happy is the man who does not follow the advice of the wicked, or take the path of sinners, or join a group of mockers! 2 Instead, his delight is in the LORD's instruction, and he meditates on it day and night.

3. SUPPLICATION - You Must Seek God Daily In Prayer

1 Thess. 5:17 (HCSB) Pray constantly. (Imperative)

4. LEADING BY THE SPIRIT - You Must Allow the Holy Spirit to Lead You Daily

Galatians 5:16-26 (HCSB)
I say then, walk by the Spirit and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. 17 For the flesh desires what is against the Spirit, and the Spirit desires what is against the flesh; these are opposed to each other, so that you don’t do what you want. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, moral impurity, promiscuity, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambitions, dissensions, factions, 21 envy, drunkenness, carousing, and anything similar, about which I tell you in advance—as I told you before—that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live by the Spirit, we must also follow the Spirit. 26 We must not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

5. BE PART OF GOD'S SAINTS -
You Must Be Accountable to God’s House and His People

Hebrews 10:25 (HCSB)
Not staying away from our meetings, as some habitually do, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

6. SANCTIFICATION - You Must Be Obedient In Separating Yourself from the World

1 Thessalonians 4:3 (HCSB)
For this is God’s will, your sanctification…
2 Corinthians 6:17 (HCSB) Therefore, come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord.

7. SERVICE - You Must Seek to Serve the Body of Christ – Find Your Ministry!
Proverbs 3:28 (HCSB) Don’t say to your neighbor, “Go away! Come back later. I’ll give it tomorrow”—when it is there with you.

As you find yourself in this seven ways may God help you to do it rightly in Jesus name

LET US PRAY
FATHER GIVE US YOUR GRACE TO PUT YOUR CHARACTER IN OUR LIFE IN JESUS NAME AMEN

LIVING A HOLY LIFE

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: LIVING A HOLY LIFE

The Call to Be Holy

One of the most significant callings that God puts on the hearts of Christians is the call to be Holy.

1 Peter, specifically 1 Peter 1:15-16 (NIV), says:
15But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; 16for it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy."

Today I want to talk to you about the importance of being holy.

The word holy, Hagios in Greek, is used seven times in Peters first letter with regard to conduct or behavior. In addition, the word holy is used more than 500 times throughout the Bible.

So then, what is Holiness and what does it mean to be Holy?

The word Holy implies sacredness, being consecrated to God, or being worthy of God.
To be holy is to be free from anything that would offend a perfect God. moral and ethical wholeness or perfection; freedom from moral evil. Holiness is one of the essential elements of God's nature required of His people.

We, as Christians, must live in this world, but we have been called out of the world (set apart) to live lives that are in conflict with what the world believes to be good and/or acceptable. This is quite often talked about as Christians being in the world, but not being of the world.

1 Peter 1:17 (New International Version) says:
17Since you call on a Father who judges each man's work impartially, live your lives as strangers here in reverent fear.

Beyond that, however, we must exhibit such exemplary conduct that it is recognized by people of the world.
1 Peter 2:12 (New International Version) says:
12Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.

As Christians, we are not to value the things that the world values. We are not supposed to accept the sinful evil ways of the world, to embrace them or to allow them to become part of our lives.
In addition, and perhaps more importantly, it means that whatever sinful evil ways of the world we did follow, prior to becoming a Christian, must now be stopped.

My question to you today is have you stopped those things, check your life and tell me what is the difference since you said you are born again?

LET US PRAY
FATHER IN JESUS NAME, GIVE US GRACE TO LIVE A HOLY LIFE AS YOU LORD.

IS GOD FOR ME? “If God Is for Us”

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: IS GOD FOR ME? “If God Is for Us”

Romans 8:28-39
“If God is for us, who can be against us?” Well, indeed, if God is for us, then it really wouldn’t matter who is against us, would it? I mean, who could be greater and more powerful than God? No one.

By definition, no one or no thing can be more powerful than God; otherwise, that person or thing would be God.

“If God is for us, who can be against us?” But that question then raises another question, one that could be a little ominous, depending on the answer: Is God for us? How can we know whether he is or not? Is God for us? How can we be sure that he is?

well, I’m sure that God must be for some people. But how can I be sure he is for me? Because, I tell you, there are times when I begin to wonder if he really is. Things don’t look like God is for me a whole lot of the time. It sure would give me a lot more confidence, a lot more joy, if I could be certain that God is for me.

Are there things that could cause us to wonder whether or not God really loves us?

You bet there are.

The circumstances of our life don’t always look like an all-powerful God is taking good care of us. What are those circumstances that could cause us to feel like we’re being cut off from God’s love, that he doesn’t really love us anymore? In other words, what can separate us from God’s loveor at least, what can lead us to think we’re being separated from God’s love?

Paul lists some of them: “Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?” These are hardships, afflictions, sufferings, that can beset us in this life. Tribulation and distress: All the various troubles and pressures that weigh heavily upon us.

What are the troubles and pressures you face that may cause you to doubt God’s close and tender love?
Famine and nakedness: This is talking about economic adversity in the extreme--not having enough to eat, not having clothes to wear. Etc

Paul gives us the answer, and it is an emphatic “Yes!”:

“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died--more than that, who was raised--who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.”

There is one, and only one way you can be absolutely sure that God really is for us in any and every circumstance. And that is, by looking at what God has done for us in Christ.
Christ Jesus himself is the most emphatic yes, the once-and-for-all yes, to that sometimes perplexing question, Is God for us?

“He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all. . . .” This is Paul’s version of “For God so loved the world that he gave his one-and-only Son.”

Friends, God did not spare his own Son but indeed gave him up for us all on the cross. Remember how the Father said, both at Jesus’ baptism and at his transfiguration, “This is my beloved Son” And yet God’s love for us is so great, so deep, that he would yield up his own beloved Son to death on the cross, in order to save us unworthy sinners. Amazing!

“He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?” Yes, if God did the one, he will surely do the other. God will give us all things beneficial to our salvation--indeed, he will make us inheritors of all his riches in glory
because he has given Christ to be our Savior.
Do you doubt God’s love? Look to the cross of Christ, and that will give you the answer.

Pastor In Brazil Convinced His Members His Sperm Was Holy Milk Has Been Arrested!!!

Evangelical Pastor convinced followers his penis contained HOLY MILK, arrested!!!

Now this one has got to be an all time worst Everything Is Going Down, But The Word Of God reports….

This is worst than the woman that took the stand in court and said it was her Godly duty to allow Bishop Earl Pulk to have sex with her while she was married to one of the elders at the church. However the following report coming out of Brazil takes the cake! Read it below:

BRAZIL – January 28, 2013 – Religion is a virus. The world is quickly finding out the damage and crimes that the Vatican and its little harlots – all other religions – have caused worldwide.
Just when you think you had heard it all, another malicious and alarming crime committed by a criminal priest, nun, minister or pastor, surfaces.

This one has to be one of the most shocking yet…an Evangelical Pastor managed to abuse victims after convincing them that his penis contains HOLY MILK. The criminal: Valdeci Sobreni Picano of Brazil.
Valdeci Sobrino Picanto is a Brazilian Evangelical Pastor. He has been arrested after deceiving the faithful using the name of the “Holy Spirit”, by using these foolish lies. This criminal pastor claimed that the Holy Spirit would secrete from his penis in the form of “sacred milk”.

This pastor said that his penis was blessed and that “the Lord had consecrated him with divine milk of the Holy Spirit” and, of course, he had to release it in order to “evangelize”. “He has convinced us that only God could come into our lives through our mouth and that’s why he would do what he did”.

Often, after worship, pastor Valdeci would take us to the where the funds were kept at the back of the Church and asked us to have Oral sex with him until the Holy Spirit would come through ejaculation”. This is the testimony of one of his victims.

This pastor is already in jail where, he said when they arrested him, that he intends to continue watering his cellmates with his sacred milk. Note: This news article was originally reported today in Spanish by Que.es The great news is that the Protect Your Children Foundation in collaboration with Vatican Crimes Exposed will continue to expose these evil and perverse men who utilize the name of Christ to gain trust and commit crimes. GOD'S LOVE IS FOREVER DEMONSTRATED

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: God's Love Is Forever Demonstrated

1. The love of God is foundational & unquestionable.

Jesus is GOOD SHEPHERD who laid down His life for the sheep! In His life, His death, His resurrection, He poured into our very hearts His own special love!

He didn't just sprinkle His love, or scatter His love, but rather He LAVISHED IT upon us in overflowing amounts!
Romans 5:5 (NKJV) 5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

NOTE: We have this increasing joy of His love in our lives.
THE LOVE of God is so different than what this world offers.
Truly, the WORLDS LOVE is in opposition to God's love.
Read through 1 John 2:15-17

NOTE: It's true, God's love is unlike any other love.
Today we will see just how wonderful God's love is and how He demonstrated it through his Son Jesus Christ.

1 (v6) God’s love is UNCONDITIONAL. V6
Jesus died for who? The UNGODLY.
We were absolutely hopeless & helpless when Lord died for us.
We couldn't help out even a little bit.
Really, God doesn't need my help.

HAVE YOU NOTICED how many times we read of people in the Bible that decided to help God out a little and failed.

1. Abram & Sarah they decided to help God out a little and Ishmael was born to them.
Genesis 17:19 (NKJV) 19 Then God said: to, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his descendants after him.

2. King Saul he decides to not destroy ALL the Amalikites, but ends up dying at the hand of one.
1 Samuel 15:14 (NKJV) 14 But Samuel said, that then is this bleating of the sheep in my ears, and the lowing of the oxen which I hear?

3. James & John they decided to help the ministry a little by calling fire down from heaven to take of people.
Luke 9:55-56 (NKJV) 55 But He turned and rebuked them, and said, you do not know what manner of spirit you are of. 56 For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men's lives but to save them. And they went to another village.

4. Even Peter he tried to defend the Lord in the garden and cut a guys ear off.
Matthew 26:52-53 (NKJV) 52 But Jesus said to him, put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword. 53 Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels?

THE TRUTH IS YOU & I cannot help God out. He doesn't need it.
That's why my heart grieves when I hear of ministers & ministries talk about how much God needs your help.
If you don't send in you pledge or seed faith vow, our ministry will shut down.

LISTEN God is not broke. He isn't dependent upon us either.
Ephesians 3:20 (NKJV) 20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,

Philippians 4.19 And my God shall supply all your need according

His love over us is unspeakable and his power is great, his grace is endless, His protection is immeasurable, how he save and care for his own can not be paid for. All you and me need is to give our life to him in appreciation

LET US PRAY
FATHER IN JESUS NAME, DON'T LET THE UMBRELLA OF YOUR LOVE ROLL AWAY FROM ME FOREVER IN JESUS NAME

Reason to Praise God

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Reason to Praise God"

Text: Psalm 146

Job 22:21-23 Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee. Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thine heart. If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up...

Jeremiah 9:23,24 Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD...

A Saving Knowledge And A Spiritual Knowledge of God is the greatest need of every human being...

Author W. Pink wrote: The foundation of all true knowledge of God comes from a clear mental apprehension of His divine perfections as revealed in the Bible.

We need more than a theoretical knowledge of God. God is only truly known in the Soul as we yield ourselves to Him, submitting to His authority, and regulating our lives by His precepts.

Daniel 11:32 ..the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.

Hosea 6:3 Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD:
An Unknown God Can Neither Be Trusted, Served, Nor Praised. But God's Word tells us we are to praise Him -
1 Chronicles 16:25-31. Notice the introduction of Ps. 147:1; 148:1; 149:1; 150:1

From Psalm 146, I want to give you several reasons Why we should PRAISE GOD!

I. WE SHOULD PRAISE THE LORD BECAUSE -

Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help,.. (v. 5a). He keepeth truth forever (v. 6b). This refers to the faithfulness of God. Jacob's life proves the faithfulness of God!

Deut. 7:9 Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God,..
2 Tim. 2:13 If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.
Lam. 3:22,23 It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

II. WE SHOULD PRAISE THE LORD BECAUSE - Happy is he...whose hope is in the LORD his God: (v. 5b). Our God is a personal God!
1 John 1:3,7 ..our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ... if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another,..
2 Cor. 6:16 ...ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

III. WE SHOULD PRAISE THE LORD BECAUSE - He executeth judgment and the wicked He turneth upside down (v. 7, 9). See also Psalm 147:6

IV. WE SHOULD PRAISE THE LORD BECAUSE - He giveth food to the hungry (v. 7).
Matt. 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

Ps 107:9 For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.
V. WE SHOULD PRAISE THE LORD BECAUSE - He ..made heaven, and earth, and sea, and all that therein is: (v. 6).
God Is All Powerful. Gen. 1:1; Ps. 33:6; Ps. 119:90. Ps 62:11 Power belongs unto God. Heb 1:3 He upholdeth all things by the word of His power
He Has Power To loose the prisoners. (v. 7), open the eyes of the blind (v. 8), raise them that are bowed down (v. 8). To save, secure, satisfy, sanctify, separate...

VI. PRAISE THE LORD BECAUSE - The Lord loveth the righteous (v. 8).
Jesus said,.. If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. John 14:23. He loves me with an everlasting love!

VII. PRAISE THE LORD BECAUSE - The LORD preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: (v. 9a). Here we see the Goodness, Mercy, & Grace of God. Read Ps. 145:15-17.
We Deserve Nothing By His Gracious Hand, yet He provides sunshine & rain, wind & storm, grace & mercy.

VIII. PRAISE THE LORD BECAUSE - The Lord shall reign forever.. (v. 10a).
Will Man Reign Forever? (v. 3, 4). Ps 10:16 The LORD is King for ever and ever: Ps 145:13 Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations. Rev. 11:15 ... The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

CONCLUSION:
HOW SHOULD WE PRAISE THE LORD? (v. 1, 2).
Through Salvation - Praise the Lord, O my soul (v. 1)
Through Service - While I live I will Praise the Lord (v. 2)
Through Song - I will sing praise unto my God (v. 2)

I DEDICATE TO DAY'S MORNING MEAL TO THE LORD FOR HIS DELIVERANCE UPON ME AND MY WIFE FROM ACCIDENT.

LET US PRAY
FATHER IN JESUS NAME. LET YOUR PRAISE CONTINUALLY BE IN OUR MOUTH IN JESUS NAME

The benefits of God's love

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: The benefits of God's love

TEXT: Psalm 103

This model sermon, based on Psalm 103, uncovers and reminds us of God's endearing love from one of the Old Testament's most stirring passages.

The definition of God's love (v. 2)
The point is not simply that God "loves," but that he is love itself. Love is not merely one of his attributes, but his very nature. The Scripture say, "And we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and the one who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him"
(1 John 4:16).

To say that God is love, is not to imply that love is God. There is a difference like there is a difference in me saying my dog is a girl and my girl is a dog. God is love means that God wants the very best for you. God has your best interest in mind. He wants to give you good gifts and provide you with "all his benefits" (Psalm 103:2, NIV).

The Psalmist uncovers all the phases of life that God's love has touched and in turn benefited and blessed the recipient.

A. Spiritually (v. 3, 12)
Spiritually God's love removes the barrier that separates us from him by canceling the debt of our sin so that we can enjoy a loving relationship with him. God's love removes our sins as though they never existed.

B. Emotionally (v. 3)
Much of our physical and emotional illness is due to moral failure. In removing the sin and guilt from our lives God's love brings healing to our emotional life.

C. Eternally (v. 4)
The pit is the pit of death. God's love rescues us, fallen humanity, from our own bent on destruction, and grants us eternal life.

D. Authoritatively (v. 4)
God's love places a crown of royal glory and authority on us. God's love ". . . made us a kingdom, priests to His God and Father"
(Rev. 1:6). He have been crowned with his love and given a new citizenship on this earth and in heaven.

E. Physically (v. 5)
Like a father he desires to give us good gifts of strength and endurance. Jesus, the embodiment of God's love came enjoying life, and he wants his children to do the same.

F. Judicially (v. 6)
Here we find a major difference between divine love and what so often passes for love among people. Often, love is expressed as that virtue that accepts everything. But, God's love always makes judgment calls. Divine love hates what is wrong and embraces what is right.

LET US PRAY
FATHER LORD, DON'T LET ME WORK AWAY FROM THE BANNER OF YOUR LOVE FOR EVER IN JESUS NAME.

GOD'S LOVE IN FIVE WAY

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: GOD'S LOVE IN FIVE WAY

When the love of God is present in the life of a believer, it will be visible in5 different areas.

1. Love For The Savior
John 14:15- If you love me keep my commandments!
Ephesus - Rev. 2:4- you have left your first love

2. Love For The Scriptures
John 5:39

3. Love For The Sanctuary
Heb. 10:25- not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together , as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another and so much more as you see the day approaching
David - Psalms 122:1- I WAS GLAD WHEN THEY SAID TO ME, LET US GO INTO THE HOUSE OF THE LORD!

4. Love For The Saints
1 John 4:20-21; 1 John 5:1-3
John 13:35 - 1 John 4:12! When the saints walk in love, then God will be seen!

5. Love For The Sinners -.
Jesus had a heart for sinners - God's love is more than just being loved! It is opening our lives so that the Lord can love through us. So that He can reach a world for Himself.

We ought to praise the Lord today for His overwhelming love! We can shout, we can run, but the best means we have of thanking Him for His love is by letting Him love through our lives and reach others for Jesus.

Join me as I ask the Lord to help me to love like Jesus.
I thank Him for loving me, and I am sure you do too.

Today let's show that love for God by doing His will and being what He would have us be, and by loving like He would have us love. By loving others exactly as we have been loved by God -

Matt. 22:39- you shall love your neighbor as yourself.

LET US PRAY
FATHER IN JESUS NAME, HELP US TO LOVE OTHERS AND LET YOUR LOVE RULE OUR LIFE IN JESUS NAME

GAY MAN SUES BIBLE PUBLISHERS OVER “HOMOSEXUALITY IS A SIN” VERSES

Man claims Bible causes him "emotional duress" because he's gay

A gay man has filed a $70 million lawsuit against two Bible publishers, claiming their translations of the Bible calling homosexuality a sin caused him “emotional distress.”

The man, Bradley LaShawn Fowler, claims the publishers, Zondervan and Thomas Nelson, have manipulated scripture with the use of the term “homosexuals” in certain revised editions of the Bible.

“Fowler alleges that the term homosexual was deleted in later versions by Zondervan but in their 1982 and 1987 translations the publisher uses the term in First Corinthians 6:9 incorrectly,” Liberty Voice reported. “The older King James Version, from which his family pastor preaches, has caused him to be cast away by his family for its use of the word homosexual.”

“As a result of suffering 20 years of mental instability and emotional duress, Fowler is suing $60 million from Zondervan and $10 million from Thomas Nelson Publishing.”

Zondervan’s spokesperson, Tara Powers, dismissed his claims.

“Since Zondervan does not translate the Bible or own the copyright for any of the translations we publish, we are not in a position to comment on the merits of how a word should or should not be translated,” she said. “We rely on the scholarly judgment of the highly respected and credible translation committees behind each translation and never alter the text of the translations we are licensed to publish.”

“We only publish credible translations produced by credible biblical scholars.”

Other gay activists simply wrote their own gay-friendly “Bible” called the “Queen James Version.”

“The Queen James Bible resolves any homophobic interpretations of the Bible,” a website promoting the book states. “We wanted to make a book filled with the word of God that nobody could use to incorrectly condemn God’s LGBT children, and we succeeded.”

LOVE

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: LOVE

LOVE IS DESCRIBED IN THE CONTEXT

A. It Is Unspeakable - I can't understand it, or why, but I know I have experienced it and I can never be separated from it - Rom. 8:38-39

B. It Is Unending - Jer. 31:3…I have loved you with an everlasting love! God's love is eternal!

C. It Is Unselfish - Ill. It asks for nothing in return! However, it leads man to repent and turn to God in love - Rom. 2:4; 1 John 4:19- We love him because He first loved us!

D. It Is Unmerited - Cannot be earned or deserved!. (Ill. His love is based in His grace!) (Ill. Jesus and Jerusalem - Matt. 23:37.)

E. It Is Unconditional - It is not based on what we can or cannot produce, it comes from the heart of God. Man can never reach a place when he will not be loved by God! God loved us first, He loved us anyway and He loves us eternally!

F. His love is Supernatural, it is Sacrificing, it is Satisfying!

THE DAY I BECAME BORN AGAIN WAS MY HAPPIEST DAY – ADEWALE AYUBA

Bonsue fuji exponent, Adewale Ayuba popularly known as Mr. Johnson, recently in an interview narrates how he became a Christian. Excerpts of the interview withGoldmyneTV.

What does attaining 50 mean to you?
I thank God because it’s a big opportunity. It’s only God that can make one get to that age. I thank God for His mercy over my life and I am grateful to God for the door of understanding that He opened to me. I am always conscious of the fact that we did not come to this world with anything and we are not going with anything. Life is like a test ground where God put us and heaven is home for everybody. I am proud of myself at 50; things I set for myself to achieve by this time, I may not have achieved one hundred per cent but seventy per cent is done and I am very grateful to God.

What are some the goals you set that you have actually accomplished?
God is my planner. I can’t remember a specific day I sat down to draw out my plans or say this is what I will do in the next two or three years, I just do things as they come. But then, as a human being, I used to wish I would be professionally established as an artiste, that 99% of people should know that this is what I am doing and thank God that it’s achieved. People know me as a musician, my name opens doors for me through the recognition I have as an entertainer…I am successful. I don’t see money as being successful but what you achieve through your job. My name opens doors everywhere -in Yoruba land, Igbo, Hausa and even outside of Nigeria so, I thank God for that. The other one is that at 50 years, I have beautiful children given to me by God. I am proud of that. I have people around me, I have people working for me, they are proud of me. I thank God.

Are there goals your new age may have forced you to set?
Hmmm… I told you before that I see life as a very simple thing now; I am not in a haste or say I must have this, I must have that. The important thing to me is that I need to enjoy myself. That is key. If care is not taken, you will just keep on looking for this, you want to become that till you get to your old age and just die or you begin to regret when you get to 70 or 80 that I have never been to Dubai for holiday, I only go there to perform or I have never been to London for two weeks holiday, I only go there to perform. When you go to a place to perform, it’s your work so, you must arrange a date that oh, I am going to London for holiday. I take my children on holiday and it’s not work, work, and work. Now that I am 50, I will do more of that.

Can you recall what your ambition was as a child?
You see, I started singing at the early age of seven. I would call it a calling from my God because it was not as if I had an elder brother who was teaching me or I knew who Kollington or Barrister was. I just love singing. When they send me on an errand, I would be singing. At a point, the my mother started calling me Bobo bobo bonsue. That later became my name. When they sent me on errands, I would forget what they sent me and they would be like, ‘you have forgotten what they sent you, it’s only music that you know…Bobo bobo bonsue’. So, when I was to pick a stage name, I settled for the name they used to abuse me with. That is why I use Bonsue Fuji as my name. At the end of the day, when I was 10 and I wanted to do my carrier, (it’s a carriage that they put on top of our equipment box) what I wrote there was Adewale Ayuba and His Future Fuji Stars, as If I knew what was going to happen. That is why I say it’s God who has been directing me.

At what age did you go professional?
I started by going to parties, singing. I think I started when I was 11 because at that time, I was singing at social gatherings with my friends without a drum. A man saw me at a party. He went to meet my mother that he wanted to establish me that he would get equipment, form a band and I would be the leader of the band. We named the band Sunny Ayuba and Fuji group, his name was Sunday. That was how it all started.

When did you release your first album and what was it like?
I released my first album when Dele Giwa died…1985. It was titled, Ibere (Beginning). When it came out, within three, four weeks, it was all over Ogun State. I lived in Ikenne and it was all over Ijebu, Remo…people loved it. Then, I used to come to Lagos every Sunday to perform what we call Jump and I would go back. I moved to Lagos finally in 1987.

What inspired Bubble which brought you to limelight?
I had five albums before Bubble but I realised elites and educated people hardly listened to it and I didn’t like that. I wanted to do a cross over thing and I didn’t like how my marketer was handling me, particularly when Shina Peters did Ace, I said ‘Wow, this is what I want’. As God would have it, I just saw Laolu Akins and people from Sony Music approach me to do an album. I said ‘Okay o, but me I want to make a project, not album’. I said I did not want to do a local thing and when we had a meeting, we agreed that I worked on my lyrics and that is why you hear, ‘Listen attentively, I’m going to Bonsue Fuji….it’s my desire to move higher high…I will sing my song…, (Mimed his lyrics). You know…we now try to put some English language and change the rhythm, tried to make it faster. You know fuji beat is somehow slow so, we made the tempo faster so that young people can appreciate it and that was how God answered our prayer and we hit the limelight big time.

Were you not discouraged doing five albums without a break before the sixth eventually came and did the magic?
I told you earlier about what I wrote on my equipment carrier. You see this song that I sing, (sings) ‘E ma pe mi ni rave of the moment mo o…eyowo moment loro mi Dewale, se bi eyan ni Michael Jackson l’america? Awa ni champion forever’. Meaning (Don’t call me rave of the moment, after all, Michael Jackson in America is also a human, I am champion forever). I have been singing that song for so long and you see, God put these songs in my mouth and they come to pass…I always see myself as a super star. Up till now, I pray to God that what Bob Marley did to Reggae, he’s the one that took Reggae to the world… I pray to record such a feat. Let God use me to promote Fuji so that when they are talking of Nigeria, they will say oh, this music is from Nigeria. When we talk of Jamaica, we remember Reggae.

Among Fuji musicians, you are a unique brand. How have you maintained that for many years?
You see, I owe everything to my God and secondly to my parents. When I was going to school, my mother would ask me to close my eyes and would ask what I saw and I would say nothing. She would say that is how it is if you don’t go to school, you will only have eyes but you won’t see anything. So, while I was going to parties to sing, they forced me…made sure I went to school. I think it’s the orientation. For instance, marrying a single wife is the contractual agreement I have with my parents. I don’t drink or smoke, it’s an agreement. We sat down at a round table and I signed for them. They said as the last born of our house, what they don’t do in our house, I can’t bring it there, you don’t smoke, you don’t drink and you don’t marry two wives. I see these things as a taboo, I always think of my parents and I thank them for it.

How were you able to juggle singing and education?
Yes, I started getting attention since then but it never affected me. Even though people call me mega star, super star and all that, I don’t allow it affect my disposition. When I was chairman, Lagos State PMAN, they gave me policemen to go around with me but I always left them at home. So that has been me. Back then, basically, I went to school on week days and my shows were weekends.

But the pressure must have been immense when you got to higher institution?
I left Remo Secondary School to OGERE, (now Moshood Abiola Polytechnic) to do my OND. To me, I just wanted to sing. I never went to club….my first night club experience was when Bob D, Bashorun Dele Momodu, was having his marriage. It was this club, what is the name now (trying to recollect)….Niteshift, when they still had it on Allen (Avenue, Ikeja), that was my first time. So, you can understand the angle from which I am talking.

What influence did your mum have on you back then?
Because I am the last child, they call me Omo mummy, (mummy’s child). My mother is one in a million. Like the issue of smoking, my mother does not talk to me in the afternoon but at midnight. She would tell me she saw a boy who was being rushed to the hospital and when I asked what happened, she would say the boy smoked Indian hemp and that he could not be normal again…things like that. And I would tell you things she used to tell me had great influence on me because she used to talk about every area of my life.

Can you recollect an experience that has lingered in your memory?
I won’t lie to you, I have gone through a lot of…I call it obstacles. It’s a ladder for you to move higher. There are lots of bad things, but I thank God. In the course of my career, I had been shot at, had accidents. I had walked to a record company where they asked me, what do you have to sing, go back to school you cannot become anything. I had seen a record company owner who said if I could not sing like Barrister, Kollington, I should forget it that I would not become anything. He said the Bobobo bonsue I was singing could not take me anywhere and that I was making them laugh and they asked me to go. So things have happened.

How easy was it for you to pick a wife?
God connected me with my wife. I saw my wife in New York at my school’s Cafeteria, and I told my friend who was beside me, that is my wife. We returned to eating our food and by the time we raised our heads, it was the lady who was standing in front of us. She asked if we were Nigerians, and we answered in the affirmative. Then she asked us to go to room 202 that we were trying to gather and all that. Eventually, we introduced ourselves and I discovered she lived two buildings from my house and that was how God did it.

How easy was it to convince your parents you wanted to marry an Igbo lady?
I thank God for that o because, my parents…they don’t care. When I took her to my mother, she greeted her but she could not respond, then I told my mum my wife did not understand Yoruba. She held her head and prayed for her. That was all.

How do you cope with advances from women?
Let me tell you. It takes two to tango. Everything comes with a compliment. Things that will take you down starts with a compliment and things that will take you up come with a compliment; it’s for you to decide which one you want to do. Okay, you see a lady telling you Mr. Johnson, I love the way you dress and so on, you say thank you, you did not even wait. I have not seen a man that was raped. If you don’t take a woman to a corner, nothing can happen. Some people would say because I am a public figure, they want to date me and there is nothing I can do. It’s a pure lie. It takes two to tango.

When do you consider as your happiest day?
I will not lie to you. When I remember the day I gave my life to the Lord Jesus Christ, I am happy, the day I became a born again, that was my happiest day. Now I realise this life is to worship God.

As a Fuji musician from Islamic background, it is strange that you are a born again. What made you take that decision?
It’s what brought me to Fuji music. I don’t know. I remember I had a lot of Alfas who came to pray for me and when they left, I would still go to my room to read the Bible. I think my conviction was in the Bible. It got to a stage that my children would be laughing. They would say, ‘Daddy, choose one’. But I did not want to pick like you said, because of Fuji. It has Islamic origin, my background, how would my family feel? I don’t want to offend this, I don’t want to offend that but I discovered that religion or belief has nothing to do with your musical life and no one says we are listening to your music because of your personal life or so

JESUS COMING WILL BE GLORIOUS

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL
... CONTINUE FROM YESTERDAY

TOPIC: JESUS COMING WILL BE GLORIOUS

Acts 1v 9.

Acts 1 tells us that Jesus was caught up in a cloud and taken to heaven. The cloud that carried Jesus into heaven was no ordinary cloud but was in fact the same cloud that led Israel in the wilderness. It is the cloud that represents the glory of God. Luke 21:27 tells us that Jesus will return in a cloud with power and great glory.

There are differences surrounding Jesus first coming to his second coming.

The first time Jesus came unnoticed into the world, the second time every eye will see him (Revelation 1:7).

In his first coming Jesus humbled himself, being born in a stable in Bethlehem. When he returns, he will come back as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

The first time he came he was judged and sentence by the people according to their wrong standard, but when he comes, he will judge every person according to Gods standard.

Illustration
Christian writer and commentator Warren Wiersbe, tells about a town where a horse bolted and ran away with a wagon carrying a little boy. Seeing the child in danger, a young man risked his life to catch the horse and stop the wagon. The child who was saved grew up to become a lawless man, and one day he stood before a judge to be sentenced for a serious crime. The prisoner recognized the judge as the man who, years before had saved his life; so he pled for mercy on the basis of that experience. But the words from the bench silenced his plea: "Young man, then I was your savior; today I am your judge, and I must sentence you to be hanged."

One day Jesus Christ will say to rebellious sinners, "During that long day of grace, I was the Savior, and I would have forgiven you. But today I am your Judge."

When Jesus first came into the earth the religious leaders shouted in scorn Him saying, he saved others, but he can't save himself! (Matthew 27:42). The day is coming when the whole world will see Jesus as he really is. When that happens, every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:9-11).

Jesus will one day return in power and great glory. Are you prepared to reign with Jesus?

LET US PRAY
FATHER FORGIVE MY SINS AND CLOTH ME WITH GARMENT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS TO BE COUNTED WORTHY IN YOUR KINGDOM. AMEN

BE READY, JESUS IS COMING AGAIN!

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: BE READY, JESUS IS COMING AGAIN!

Acts 1:9-11
They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. Men of Galilee, they said, Why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.

Professor Charles Erdman points out that the doctrine of Christ return is fundamental, scriptural, and controversial.

It is fundamental in that all true Christians believe that one day Jesus himself will return to the earth.

It is scriptural in that our faith rests not in our dreams but in the clear revelation of God’s Word.

It is controversial in that Christians have often differed among themselves regarding the details pertaining to Christ's return.

In this message, I just want to ask one question: What will the Coming of Christ be like?

Lets consider three answers to that question.

I. JESUS COMING WILL BE PERSONAL (v.11)

Acts 1:11 makes it clear that Jesus himself will one day return to the earth. It will be this same Jesus who is coming again.
Twice in one verse Luke uses the word same to make it clear of His Coming.
The same Jesus who left will one day return. And he will return the same way that he left.

In plain English, those words teach us that Jesus is coming back personally, literally, visibly and bodily. We can assume that his return to the earth will be no less amazing and no less surprising.

The truth is that the actual, historical figure who lived 2000 years ago on the other side of the world is returning to the earth one more time.

Illustration
In 1800 William Miller predicted the return of Christ in 1844 All over the Northeast, half a million Adventists awaited the end of the world on April 3, 1843. Journalists reportedly some disciples were on mountaintops, hoping for a head start to heaven. Others were in graveyards, planning to ascend in union with their departed loved ones.

In 1992 Harold Camping predicted the end, again nothing happened and he changed his date to 1993 and then 1994.

In 1995, there was a person who announced that the Lord told him that He is coming on October 28. Later I learned that the leader was imprisoned for staffa because he used his employers money for his campaign.

I just want to give one comment. These groups however were misguided but were right about one thing.
God in the person of Christ is coming back someday.

I will come back Jesus said (John 14:3). One day those words will be fulfilled before our very eyes.

Another question I wanted to ask you is how prepare are you for Jesus coming, you and me can't deny the fact that He is coming even the dark world knew, but will you go with him when he comes?

RECEIVING GOD'S PROMISES (III)

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

CONTINUE FROM YESTERDAY

TOPIC: RECEIVING GOD'S PROMISES (III)

5) Look at the Provision of God.

God is not only able but willing to meet our needs. This is what the rest of Hebrews chapter 11 is all about. The writer lists people small and great who experienced God’s intervention in their lives in times of need. He is teaching us that God is willing to meet the need of those who have a relationship with Him.

6) Look at what Pleases God.

Hebrews 11:6 reads; “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Faith is the thing that we have to exercise as we approach the Lord. We have learned that faith knows that God is able and willing to help you.

It is based on your approaching the Lord based first on your relationship,
second on knowing He can do anything, because as verse 11 says, ‘He is’ and thirdly, He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
You have carefully sought the Lord on the basis of your relationship and your understanding that you have committed yourself to the purposes of God in your life.

You know that He can and is willing to meet your need as His child; as you are walking in obedience to His will.
So brethren, believe that he God we make you happy in answering your prayers. It is the lords wills that you are blessed. Amen

RECEIVING GOD'S PROMISES (II)

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

CONTINUE FROM YESTERDAY

TOPIC: RECEIVING GOD'S PROMISES (II)

3) Look at the Practicality of Faith.

Hebrews 11:3 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” The modern versions use the work ‘assurance’ or ‘confidence’. The Greek word here is ‘hupostasis’ – meaning that which is underlying, or supporting. It is the same word used in Hebrews 1:3 for the word ‘person’ who is upholding all things.

4) Look at the Power of God.

We need to understand the foundation of faith is based on the person and character of our God. Hebrews 11:3 declares God is Omnipotent. “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” So we learn that if God is God, He can do anything!

Do you belive that he can do all things as I believe too, then that is all you need, to believe he can do that which you desire of him, if it took God just a 7days to created the heavens and the earth and everything in it then it doesn't take him anything to replace, repairs or recreate any damage part in you.

If you put all you trust in him this morning and not in man. Then pray with me

LET US PRAY
FATHER WITH YOUR FAITH IN ME COME IN TO ME AND TRANSFORM MY LIFE FROM BAD TO GOOD OF MY DESIRE IN JESUS NAME.

Receiving God's Promises

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Receiving God's Promises

Philippians 4:19 “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus”.

How many times have you claimed this promise and wondered if it will work for you?

Does the Bible not say that we can ask God for what we need and He will supply it?
Yes the Bible does say that. There are however some things we sometimes overlook.

In this week morning meal I will be discussing with you six steps we need to look at when we decide we are going to claim a promise from God;

1) Look at the Promise.

Does Verse 19 say that God will supply all your wants? No; it says all your needs! Now we have to look at what we are asking for and realistically examine our motivation. Is this something I want, or is this something God knows is a need for me.

2) Look at the Premise.

What is the context within which Paul writes to the Philippians stating that God will supply all their need? We need to go back a few verses to see the conduct of the Philippians.

Verse 15-16 reads “when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only. For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.” When Paul says God will supply their need, he knows that the Philippian Church had taken from the little they had to help the work of God through Paul’s missionary outreach.

When we wish to claim supply of our need from God, we understand that God is no man’s debtor. Paul knew that God had ‘riches in glory’. God is able to meet any need for He owns the cattle on a thousand hills, and all the riches of earth are at His disposal.

What are your needs and what do you do to to get them.? You need to do like the Philippians do in supporting God's work in whatever capacity you are call to and surely you will receive the blessing therein

THE SLEEP OF THE SLUGGARD

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: THE SLEEP OF THE SLUGGARD

The sleep of the sluggard: A person who will sit for exams and is sleeping eight hours everyday will end up a failure.

Proverb 24:30-34 says, I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding, and lo, it was all grown over with thorns, and nettles had covered the face thereof, and the stone wall thereof was broken down. Then I saw, and considered it well. I looked upon it, and received instruction. Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep; so shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.

Many Christians are very lazy. They don't want to do the Lord's work. Just as a lazy person cannot do well physically, also a lazy person cannot do well spiritually.

Laziness is the reason people give excuses for not doing what they are supposed to do.

For example, they would complain that Bible studies usually take time and that is why they do not attend. Many are inactive when it comes to sowing the seed to the kingdom.

Lazy people lack spiritual exercise. Family worship and Bible study are foreign to them. Just as a lazy farmer will not receive the best crop, a lazy Christian too will not receive the best from the Lord. The sleep of carelessness that many people sleep cannot fetch them anything from the Lord.

Get up brethren don't be lazy, do all that is expected of you spiritually and be not delay, you will surely be happy tomorrow

LET US PRAY
EVERY SPIRIT OF LAZINESS THAT IS CAUSING POVERTY IN US IS CAST OUT TO DAY IN JESUS NAME.

THE SLEEP OF SAMSON

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: The sleep of Samson:

It is very sad to know that many men are sleeping the sleep of Samson. They leave their wives at home and locate a local Delilah somewhere and are sleeping there. To worsen their case, their friends who will come and smoke cigarette at their funeral are encouraging them to die.

Samson, whose birth was prophesied by an angel, a supernatural man, could not withstand the lap of Delilah.

Judges 16:19 says, And she made him sleep upon her knees; and she called for a man, and she caused him to shave off the seven locks of his head; and she began to afflict him, and his strength went from him. The seven locks of head stand for perfection.

WHAT IS THE NATURE OF THE SLEEP OF SAMSON?

It is the sleep of presumption. That is the spirit of I can handle it, no problem, the spirit of over-confidence.

Samson knew that he was in danger for Delilah was after the secret of His power, but he could not help himself. Delilah made him to sleep on her knees and she cut off his hair. When he awoke due to the cry of the Philistines, he said, I will go out like other times. But the Bible says that he did not know that the Lord had departed from him. He was surprised that day because he had presumed that everything was still okay. Then his eyes were pulled out and he was made to grind pepper in the mill of the enemy.

It is wrong to presume that you are safe and therefore place yourself in danger. One day, you may wake up and find that the Lord has departed from you.

Stop the act and be awake to the reality of what God will make you do or do through you, man's effort is nothing, don't sleep the sleep of Samson.

LET US PRAY
FATHER IN JESUS NAME, KILL EVERY POWER OF FLESH IN ME AND LET YOU WILL GUIDE MY LIFE TO THE GLORY OF YOUR NAME.
