Why is the way Narrow?

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Why is the way narrow?

Because those who have entered the narrow gate find their path constricted.
They no longer have all the choices to do what they used to do. Now, Jesus is Lord. He calls the shots in their life. He is their Master.

They must do Christ’s will, not their own. The way of life of a Christian is different from the way of life of a non-Christian. A non-believer can choose many different options in life; a Christian can’t. If Jesus is truly His Lord, he must seek to do His will. He doesn’t have the option of living with his girlfriend or boyfriend, or having an affair, or living a homosexual lifestyle, or swindling from his company or abusing drugs or alcohol. He no longer has the option of getting a divorce if he doesn’t feel “in love” any longer.

His way is narrow! You see a true Christian seeks to live a holy life. Without the pursuit of holiness no man shall see the Lord
(Heb. 12:14).

You can know if you’ve entered the narrow gate by examining what kind of path you are on. Is it narrow or wide?
Are there a few people on this path, or many? Do you live like most other people around you, or are you different? Do others take notice that you live for Jesus, His will, His values, and His glory? Do you blend in and look like everyone else, or do you reflect the character and teachings of Jesus?

LET US PRAY
LORD JESUS CHRIST, PUT MY FIT ON THE NARROW WAY AND LEAD ME RIGHT IN JESUS NAME.

The Wide Gate

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: The Wide Gate

If the narrow gate is repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, then the wide gate is every other way people try to approach God.

Please notice that those who enter the wide gate believe they are going to end up at Life. The Wide Gate doesn’t symbolize all those who know they are headed for destruction like mass murderers and rapists.
All on both paths think they are headed for heaven. Notice the context. Mt.7:21-23 says, “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.
Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.”

These people who claim to have prophesied, cast out demons and done miracles expected that they were on their way to heaven.
However, they end up in Hell! Those who enter the wide gate think they are going to heaven, but they are horribly deceived. These are the people who trust in their morality, their own human righteousness.

Those who enter the wide gate include every person who has embraced any religion in which they are not trusting completely in Jesus Christ. This includes Moslems, Budhists, Jews, Hindus, and all cults. It’s a wide gate, because you can seek to approach God many different ways through this gate.
The people who enter through the wide gate have this as their slogan – “all paths lead to God.” Oh, how sadly and miserably they are deceived! Christ love you and you can still come back to the narrow gate which is the Lord Jesus Christ before it too late.

LET US PRAY
FATHER IN JESUS NAME
TAKE ME OUT OF THE BROADWAY AND SHOW ME YOUR TRUE WAY IN JESUS NAME.

IS IT EASY TO ENTER THIS GATE ?

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: IS IT EASY TO ENTER THIS GATE ?

Matthew 7:13 KJV
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

Remember, Jesus said, “there are few who find it.” That implies they are on a diligent search for it.
Today we hear preachers tell us on TV and the radio, “Just say this prayer; just raise your hand; just ask Christ into your heart, and you’ll be saved!” THAT IS INTERESTING But Jesus said! Jesus said in Luke13:24 “Strive to enter through the narrow door; for many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able.”

He said in Luke 16:16 “since time of John the Baptist, the gospel of the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is forcing his way into it.” He said in Mt. 11:12 “violent men take the kingdom by force.”

No one nonchalantly strolls or meanders into the kingdom of heaven. Jesus told us to “strive.” The Greek word means “to agonize.” If we will enter the kingdom, we must be violent and take the kingdom by force.

Now, I’m not talking about saving ourselves by our own works. I am talking about being in blood earnest to repent of anything that would keep us out of the kingdom! You and I must be willing to abandon anything that would hinder us from entering.
What hinders people from entering kingdom?
1). Their own self-righteousness,
2). their idols, and
3). their sins.
That’s why repentance is necessary. We must say good-bye to the old life. We must be willing to give up any love that would take Christ’s place in our heart.

LET US PRAY
FATHER IN JESUS NAME
SEPARATE ME AND SIN AND HELP ME TO LIVE A HOLY LIFE THAT PLEASES YOU IN JESUS NAME. AMEN.

Why must a person enter through Christ to be saved?

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Why must a person enter through Christ to be saved?

Why isn’t it enough to be sincere, spiritual, religious, or moral? The answer from the Bible is that we are all sinners, and God is holy. God hates sin and must punish it. If we die in our sins we must be destroyed. In order for us to be saved from eternal destruction, we must find a way to get out from underneath the wrath of God.

So, how we get our sins cancelled out, atoned for, and forgiven? Even if we were to begin living a perfect life right now until we died, that would not cancel out all the sins we have already committed.
The Bible teaches us that there is only one sacrifice for sin that can cancel out all our debts – the cross of Jesus Christ! Because Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life, He could take our debt of sin upon Himself, so that when God’s wrath was poured out upon Him at the cross, He could receive the punishment that we deserved instead of us.

There is only one person in human history that suffered and died for the sins of mankind.
No one else ever did this. Budha, Mohammed, Confucious, Abraham, Moses, Joseph Smith or Sun Yung Moon – none of them ever died for sins, but Jesus did! Then He proved that He accomplished it by rising from the dead!
That’s why we must enter through Christ to be saved. Only Jesus Christ can cancel out our debt of sin! Listen to the testimony of God’s Word:

1 Pet.3:18 “Christ died for sins, once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God.”

Mt. 20:28 “the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”

Mt. 26:28 “this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins.”

How can I be saved, have my sins forgiven, and go to heaven when I die?

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: How can I be saved,
have my sins forgiven, and go to heaven when I die?

The answer is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and God will save us and give us eternal life.

Note these verses:
Romans 10:9-10, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."

John 3:15-16, "That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Romans 4:5, "But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness."

1 John 5:20, "And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life."

Romans 5:21, "That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord."

John 10:28, "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand."

Ephesians 2:8-10, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."

Your purpose your life

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: YOUR PURPOSE YOUR LIFE
John 1:6-8 KJV
There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. [7] The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. [8] He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

This morning the Lord lay it into my heart to share this message with you,
If you don't know your purpose of existence you will wonder away and be a slave to your generation and your pears (God forbid)

Look at the life of the man in our verse this morning, you could see his purpose why God made him.

1.His name is john
2.He came as a witnesses
3.Must witness of light nothing more
4. All men might believe through him
5. He must not take position of light.

If you identify why you came to this world you will know what to do, time to do it, to whom you were send and how to go about it. Many people ask question today about their life's and destiny, many has even lost bearing of their life, but listen to me you can still get yourself back on the track of God's destiny for your life.

Some people destiny are change at the cause of choosing courses in school for their educational career life. Does their destiny change because the university didn't give them the course heaven assign for them.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO
All you need to do now is to come back to the Lord and trust him to change your destiny for better, I mean he is your creator, he can fix damages and can rebuild and change parts if necessary.
Pray and read your Bible and live holy.

What is love- The cost of giving

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: What is Love – The Cost of Giving

What is love if not costly? Real love demands sacrifice that can’t be found in self-centeredness. You can give without loving, but you can never love without giving.
Sacrificial love requires that we give what we value most: our hearts, minds, souls, and strength. Real love does not always follow our natural inclinations; it is not an impulse from feelings.

Love can only be understood from the actions it prompts. When we bear with the failings and weaknesses of others, divine love reveals itself (Ephesians 4:2).

At all costs, this love compels us to give so that we alleviate the suffering of others. Instead of seeking to fulfill our emotional and physical needs (receiving), we humbly give of ourselves (1 Peter 3:8–9).
As you go out today, it is good and loving to find someone in need you can share what you have with and not always look forward to receive. Love is sacrificing.

LET US PRAY
FATHER , HELP ME TO SHARE GODLY LOVE WITH OTHERS IN NEED IN JESUS NAME

Persistent prayer

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: PERSISTENT PRAYER

Jesus told his disciples a story about how they should keep on praying and never give up” (Luke 18:1 CEV).
The King James says that men should always pray and not faint.

Persistent prayer honors God because it expresses our complete dependence on him. Since God knows what we need before we ask him, we don’t have to repeat ourselves to get his attention. But that’s not the whole story. We all know from personal experience that not all our prayers are answered the first time we pray them.

Sometimes we receive immediate answers, but often we must wait days, week, months, or even years before the answer comes.

In our churches we had some people who prayed for years for their loved ones to be saved. I know because they filled out the same prayer request week in and week out.
Is that a lack of faith? To the contrary, repetition is proof of faith.

I would add that it sometimes seems that the more something matters to us, the longer we will have to wait for the answer to come.
This is very often true when we pray for our loved ones to come to Christ, and when we pray to get something very important to our existence
This week as you go on don't ever stop telling God your good heart desire.

LET US PRAY
IN JESUS NAME. LET MY LETTER OF JOY BE DELIVERE TO ME BEFORE THE END OF THIS WEEK.

God knows what you need

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: GOD KNOWS WHAT YOU NEED

Your Father knows what you need before you ask him” (Matthew 6:8 NIV).

That means we don’t have to impress God or use big words or pray long prayers. We don’t have to repeat ourselves when we pray and we don’t have to worry about getting all the details correct or throw in flowery language when we pray.

Since God knows us through and through, he knows our needs better than we do. He knew your need before you bowed you head. The Bible tells us that he numbers the stars in the sky, the sand on the seashore, and the hairs on your head. He even calls the stars by name (Psalm 147:4).

Ponder that for a moment. Billions and billions of stars and he knows the name of each one. Think how easily you get flustered on Sunday morning trying to remember that person you met last week.

But God not only knows all the people in your church, he knows every person attending every church everywhere in the world. More than that, he knows the names of all 6.5 billion people who call planet earth home. But even beyond that, he knows the names of everyone who has ever lived and everyone yet to be born.

If God knows all that–and it’s not even a strain for him, do you think he going to be surprised that you’re worried about your finances or that you don’t like your job or that your kids are getting on your nerves? He knows your thoughts before you think them,
your words before you speak them. So pour out your heart to the Lord. Nothing you say will surprise him.

All me and you need now is to be holy and straightforward before the Lord. Psalm 24:3-5 KJV
Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord ? or who shall stand in his holy place? [4] He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. [5] He shall receive the blessing from the Lord , and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

How do you give?

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: HOW DO YOU GIVE?

The Bible teaches that Christian giving must be willing giving, free giving. We learn this in 2 Corinthians 9:7 "Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion."

But doesn't this contradict what we learned under the first principle, that Christian giving is not optional? The answer is, of course, no.
True Christian giving is both mandatory and voluntary. It is required by God, but always willingly given by the believer.

Is your giving to the Church something you do wholeheartedly, or indifferently, or grudgingly?

LET US PRAY
FATHER IN JESUS NAME, TEACH ME HOW TO GIVE FREELY AND IN GOOD HEART IN JESUS NAME.

God give you much for you to give much

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: GOD GIVE YOU MUCH FOR YOU TO GIVE MUCH.

The Bible teaches that the liberality of God's blessings to us is connected to the liberality of our Christian giving.

Though it may seem strange, both Jesus and Paul emphasize that there is a relation between our giving to the Lord and the Lord's giving to us.
As Paul says in 2 Corinthians 9:6 "Now this I say, he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully."

About this matter J.A. Beet once said: "They who in giving think, not how little they can give, as they would if self-enrichment were the aim, but of benefits to be conferred, will receive back on the same principle. As they do to others, so God will act to them."

Jesus reminds us of this in Matthew 6:4, where He teaches that our reward in giving comes from our heavenly Father. As someone once said: "The desire to be generous and the means to be generous both come from God."

Do you realize that the Lord has given you much, so that you can give much?

Give what you have

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: GIVE WHAT YOU HAVE

The Bible teaches that Christian giving should be done in accordance with our means.

Paul is quite clear on this: "For if the readiness is present, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have" (2 Corinthians 8:12).

But another way Paul is saying that you should give in proportion to what God has given you. He said it this way in

1 Corinthians 16:2, "each one of you is to put aside and save, as he may prosper." This means at least two things:

(1) since we are all supposed to give proportionately, those who have more money are expected to give more [we who are particularly blessed materially must remember this], and

(2) the Lord never asks us to give what we do not have, or contribute beyond our means.
Are you really giving in proportion to the material blessings that the Lord has given you?

Standard for our giving

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: STANDARD FOR OUR GIVING.

The Bible teaches that Christian giving should be done in light of the incarnation.
Many Christians argue about whether the tithe (10% of our income) is still the standard for our giving to the Church (disputants usually want to show that less than 10% is fine).

Paul scuttles the whole debate in one verse. He says: "For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich" (2 Corinthians 8:9).

Christ's self-giving is now the standard for our giving! We begin from the base of the tithe and aim for emulation of His self-sacrifice. Our giving is to be inspired and instructed by Christ's inexpressible gift. In light of such a challenge, who could possibly satisfy himself with asking "how little a percentage is acceptable for me to give?"

Do you try to get by with giving as little as possible to the Lord, or do you give in view of the Lord's costly sacrifice?

LET US PRAY
FATHER IN JESUS NAME, HELP ME TO MEET UP WITH YOUR STANDARD FOR MY LIFE.

Celebrate with me the 10th Anniversary of my Ministry this Sunday 8th Nov 015. You are lifted.
