How to be a good Husband.

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: HOW TO BE A GOOD HUSBAND

BE A SERVANT/LEADER

But I want you to understand that Christ is the head of every man, and the man is the head of a woman, and God is the head of Christ. —1 Corinthians 11:3

leadership in the home is no laughing matter.
During the last few decades our culture has redefined the meaning and responsibilities of men and women in society and in the home.

Many men are confused and insecure. Many do not know how to act in the home. Growing up, they lacked a good model for leadership at home and have no mental picture of what it means to lead a family. Consequently, they do not lead effectively, or they do not even try.
Increasingly, many men are becoming passive in the home. They've decided that the easiest thing to do is nothing. The simplest thing—with the smallest risk—is to stay on the fence with both feet firmly planted in mid-air and let the wife do it.
When a man is married to a strong wife who will take over, he often lets her do just that.

Fortunately, there is an answer. The Scriptures clearly give us the model for being a man, a husband, and a father. I call that model the "servant/leader."

I hope that the concepts I share will help you understand the biblical role of a husband more clearly than ever before. When correctly interpreted and applied, these concepts not only result in freedom for the husband and wife, but will also help you work better as a team to combat isolation and conflict in your marriage.

So the meaning is that, when you are a servant of God and take your lead from him. You will lead your home well. But if you are not a servant you can't be a good leader.

LET US PRAY
You will not turn to nuisance and nonentity as the head of your home in Jesus Name. Your presence shall always be source of joy to your family.

Take care of your Health

TAKE CARE OF YOUR HEALTH

“I will never forget your commandments, for you have used them to restore my joy and health.” Psalms 119: 93 (NLT)
“A peaceful heart leads to a healthy body; jealousy is like cancer in the bones.” Proverbs 14:30 (NLT)

Don’t be impressed with your all wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn your back on evil. Then you’ll gain renewed health and vitality. Proverbs 3:7-8 (NLT)

“Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.” 3 John 1:2 (NIV)

A major part of the Bible’s health instruction dates back to the time of Moses. Yet in our day, many researchers and medical doctors are stunned at the accuracy and effectiveness of its many provisions. The Wycliffe Bible Encyclopedia tells us that the laws given by God to Moses contain remarkable rules pertaining to public health which concerns us even today: water and food contamination, sewage disposal, infectious diseases and health education. These issues were all dealt with in the Mosaic health laws.

The Bible gives us the foundational key to physical and mental health. That key is simply this: “My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you prosperity . . . This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones” (Proverbs 3:1-2, 8). It should not surprise us that obedience to God’s commandments and other laws would promote health. When we obey them, we operate in accordance with His instructions. As our Creator, He knows what’s best for us: “Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man” (Ecclesiastes 12:13).

Some biblical statements about health are specific, such as: “If you listen carefully to the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you” (Exodus 15:26). The ancient Egyptians suffered from the kinds of diseases that have ravaged mankind throughout history. Autopsies on Egyptian mummies have revealed evidence of cancer, arteriosclerosis, arthritis, tuberculosis, gallstones, bladder stones, parasitic diseases and smallpox. They suffered many diseases because they did not understand the health principles God gave to Moses.

The biblical instructions regarding health, maintenance, and recovery from illness involve application of cause-and-effect principles—based on true science—that were given thousands of years before scientists developed the technology that enabled them to discover germs, bacteria, viruses, genes and the like. Modern medical science has discovered many principles of good health, but they originated with God who designed and created the miracle that is the human body.

What the Bible says about health is that those who follow God will generally be healthy. That does not necessarily mean that those who don’t follow God will always be sick. Nor does it mean that God’s people will be absolutely free of disease. The Bible says, “I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well” (3 John 1:2). Obviously, God is more interested in our spiritual health than our physical well-being, but He does want us to be physically healthy as well. On the other hand, disease is a result of Adam’s sin, and even the most righteous may suffer. After all, Job was righteous, but God allowed him to suffer disease and hardship.

It was not until the modern era that men obtained detailed knowledge of human physiology and medicine. Yet the Creator God, who is sometimes called the Great Physician, knows everything about us, and He’s provided the necessary keys to good health. The choice to obey the Lord and reap the resulting benefits is ours to make.

YOU WILL NOT DIE YOUNG. YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR DESTINY IN JESUS NAME.

How to be a good wife 5

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: HOW TO BE A GOOD WIFE 5.

Express Your Love:

Proverbs 31:12,26 KJV
She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life. [26] She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.

Hiding love does not help your relationship.
Your partner will appreciate if you are expressive about your love for him. Find ways to spend time together.

Take part in activities that you both enjoy and some that he enjoys more than you.
Small gestures are more than enough to show him that you love him. Celebrate the little things with him, remember special days in his life and get occasional gifts that will make him smile.

These acts will bring him joy and the special moments and memories you create for him will make him love you more.

LET US PRAY
Every Evil Power Causing Hatred in your Marriage and love Affair is destroy by fire in Jesus Name.

How to be a good wife 4.

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: HOW TO BE A GOOD WIFE 4.

Give Him Space:

Proverbs 31:23 KJV
Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.

Giving each other space is important in any relationship.
You need to realize and accept that your husband has a life separate from you. He has other people and relationships too, such as his parents, siblings, and friends.

He also has his interests and hobbies. Do not stop him from having this other life. Give him as much space as he needs with understanding.
This will make him love you more. You also need space and time to do what you like. This will give you and your husband time to miss each other, and appreciate each other.

I never encourage a sinful space, or a space distance whereby the devil will come in between you. But a space to miss each other, and space for freedom that won't mean you cage each other.

LET US PRAY
May Honey never cease of dropping into your love life in Jesus Name.

BE UNPREDICTABLE:

Opinions differ when it comes to the question of whether or not unpredictability is a good thing in marriage.

Many people feel that being unpredictable keeps things exciting between couples. If things are too predictable in any relationship, it can get boring… and fast! Spice up things in your marriage by surprising your husband as often as you can.
It can be in little ways – romantic or cheeky. You can come up with plenty of creative ways to surprise him, but keep in mind that even simple gestures such as cooking his favorite meal or snack will do.

The central idea is to surprise him now and then and keep him guessing about what might be next.
It is also an excellent way to make him discover the other side of you.

Your Marriage will not be bitter in Jesus Name,

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: HOW TO BE A GOOD WIFE 2.

Proverbs 31:11 KJV
The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.

Keep Your Home Organized:

Would you want to live in a messy house? Of course not! Your husband does not want to either.
Keep your house neat and clean at all times.

The healthy environment at home will uplift his spirits and mood. Think of creative ways to make your home a peaceful sanctuary for him. Chores can be a pain, but by doing them, you can make him dependent on you and miss you when you are not around!

There is a quote that goes, “A wife is a friend first, a lover second and third and probably most important, a maid.” Your husband will appreciate all that you do for him and your home, and is sure to think he is the luckiest man to have a wife like you!

LET US PRAY
God will give you a blessed and Happy Home in Jesus Name.

How to be a good Wife

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: HOW TO BE A GOOD WIFE

Proverbs 31:10 KJV
Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

Every man wants a good wife, and every woman wants to be one. The advice given most often to a new bride is to be a good wife. But what does this mean? What are the makings of a perfect or good wife?
Most of the qualities needed to be a good wife are already there in a woman, and the rest can be developed or learned. Marriage is not an easy relationship to maintain. With countless marriages ending up in divorce, it is high time to shed some light on what makes a successful marriage.

The wife is, in the truest sense, the soul of any marriage and without her, the household would be chaotic.
So what does a woman need to be a good wife? Irrespective of the fact that no two women are similar, some basic qualities apply to all.

If you want to be a good wife.

STOP NAGGING:
There is a saying in which a nagging wife is compared to a dripping faucet. If you nag and complain constantly, it can create an unwanted rift between you and your husband. This could turn into a vicious cycle, forcing him to avoid you.
This can create complications in your relationship and even make them worse as time passes.

You cannot expect your husband to like you if he feels that you are constantly disappointed with him. Nagging does not work, so it is best to stop it.

Instead, talk to him in a way that makes him want to listen to you and resolve any problems that you might be having. The communication between you will improve by leaps and bounds.

LET US PRAY
Whatever is causing problems in your marriage is fixed today in Jesus Name.

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: OUR RESPONSE TO GODS DISCIPLINE

HEBREW 12.

Having come to an understanding of God's role in the disciplinarian process, let's look at our response. What is our reaction when our loving Heavenly Father disciplines us?

Proverbs 3:11 that says, "Do not despise the Lord's instruction, my son" (Prov. 3:11 HCSB)

1. We can accept God's discipline grudgingly
When the pain and hardships come on our lives we can endure them but not be happy about it.

In this scenario, we often question God, "Why are you doing this to me?" We know that we are God's children; we just can't understand why he would be putting us to the test. Somehow we have the attitude that as believers we are above the painful realities of life. That in some way our Christian credentials give us a primary status that is to protect us from the hurts and heartaches. Instead of asking God, "Why?" we would be better off asking, "What are you teaching me?"

2. We can embrace God's discipline willingly.
The writer of Hebrews states, "Shouldn't we submit even more to the Father of spirits and live?" (Heb. 12:9 HCSB).

Discipline is always preparatory to blessing and can bring nothing but blessing when rightly received. To embrace God's discipline is to understand that a loving God will never chastise his children capriciously.

His discipline is to prune every branch in our lives that does not bear fruit so that our lives can increase its yield. His discipline is purposeful and brings us life.
To embrace God's discipline willfully is reflected by James and Paul. James wrote, "Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds . . . so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything" (James 1:2,4 HCSB). Paul stated, "That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong" (2 Cor. 12:10 HCSB).

When our attitudes are right, God can use those hardships to change us more like his son. When that happens we will cross the tape becoming a spiritual champion.

For all His children, God would like for them to be like His Son. And to accomplish that purpose he disciplines his children. And for us his children to become like Jesus we must embrace his discipline willfully. Again and again.

LET US PRAY
In Jesus Name, everything that is giving you problem and blocking your ways to success is destroy by fire.

Reason for God's Discipline.

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Reason for God's Discipline.

God's discipline is oftentimes painful

"No discipline seems enjoyable at the time, but painful" (Heb. 12:11 HCSB).
I remember the switching I received from my mother. I can't forget the paddling I got from a teacher. It hurt. Discipline is rarely painless. But, a double meaning exists in the word painful. Discipline hurts the receiver and the giver. I had to become a parent to understand the words my parents said before enacting a punishment, "This is going to hurt me as much as you." Discipline hurts - God and us. God doesn't like it anymore than we do.

God disciplines for an ultimate purpose

Never is the hardship and suffering sent our way capriciously. "He does it for our benefit" (Heb. 12:10 HCSB). His ultimate purpose is to make us like his son (Romans 8:29). In order for that to happen, he has to change us. Ultimately, that is the purpose of all discipline, whether it is from a parent, or a coach, or from God. God seeks to change our behavior, our actions, our thoughts, and our motives.
It has been said that God comforts the afflicted and afflicts the comfortable. God sacrifices our comfort to make us conformed to his character.

God's discipline seeks a finished product

"He does it for our benefit . . . that we can share His holiness . . . it yields the fruit of peace and righteousness to those who have been trained by it" (Heb. 12:10-11 HSCB). God wants us to break through the tape by becoming a spiritual champion. The signs of that occurring are: sharing in his holiness, displaying a harvest of righteousness, and living a life of peace. Upward we are holy - set apart like God, outward we are righteous - acting like God, and inward we have peace - the calmness of God.

Don't you want that kind of life - one lived right that has a profound tranquility? It all hinges on your response to God's discipline.

LET US PRAY
MAY GOD CONTINUE TO PAMPER YOU WITH ALL GOODIES OF LIFE AND SHOWER YOU WITH HIS FAVOUR IN JESUS NAME.

God Discipline us as a good Parent

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: God Discipline us as a good Parent

Hebrews 12

Yoruba adage says. You can't hate your child as bad as given him to be eaten up by a lion.

God's discipline is a sign of a personal relationship
"For the Lord disciplines the one He loves . . . God is dealing with you as sons" (Heb. 12:6-7). God's discipline is compared to a parent's discipline of a child.

A parent only has jurisdiction over his or her own children. Because of the relationship, the parent has an intimate concern and understanding of that child. As a result, a loving parent administers the discipline with an eye on helping the child become all that they can become.

God's discipline flows out of his love for us. We are his children. Unlike human parents, he never disciplines in anger.
If he did he would destroy us, reducing us to nothing
(Jeremiah 10:24).

He may have to discipline us severely at times, but he would never kill us (Psalm 118:18).

When faced with the hardship of God's discipline, we should accept it as God's method of training and as a token that we are beloved children of God.
God loves us just the way we are, but he refuses to let us stay that way. He wants us to be just like Jesus. Don't take his discipline as anger toward you, take it as affirmation that you are his child, that he believes in you, and that he wants nothing but the best for you. He's a loving parent that refuses to give up on you.

LET US PRAY
Today, this week and this month God will smile on you for a change of life in Jesus Name.

God's role in Discipline

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: God's role in Discipline

Hebrews 12

God filters the events of life through his sovereign fingers so that we might become more and more like his Son, Jesus Christ. The apostle Paul stated, "We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose. For those He foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son" (Rom. 8:28-29 HCSB).

God's role in our life is to makes us like his Son.

A novice once asked the great Michelangelo how he sculptured such beautiful statutes. Pointing to an angel he had just chiseled out of marble, he said, "I saw the angel in the marble, I chiseled until I set it free."

In a similar vein, yet not as eloquent, a southern artisan had completed sculpting a horse out of rock. Bewildered by the transformation, a spectator said, "How in the world did you do it?" The artist replied, "I knock everything off that don't look like a horse."

Likewise, God wants to free us to be all that we can be. He has to knock off the rough edges of our sinfulness, chisel away the wrongful attitudes, and sandpaper our character flaws. For that to happen he disciplines us.

Hebrews 12:11 KJV
Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

God will shape you to his perfect plan that will make you fulfil In Jesus Name.

God's discipline

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: God's Discipline

Hebrews 12

The word discipline is used ten times in Hebrews 12:4-11. Each word in the Bible is very important. And when the same word is used ten times in eight verses, it is highly significant.

Discipline means training. In other passages of Scripture, the word is used in reference to a father training his children, or training in righteousness, or in this context God training his children.

The writer of Hebrews is saying that God lovingly disciplines his children to train them to become spiritual champions.
It is meant to draw us away from what will cause us harm and lead us into the likeness of Jesus.

It is a spiritual maturing process that God allows us to experience to become like Christ. It is God's effort in our lives to realign our will to his.

LET US PRAY
In Jesus Name, you will not be a cast away from the loving Arms of God.

PURSUE PEACE WITH ALL MEN.

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: PURSUE PEACE WITH ALL MEN.

Hebrews 12:14 KJV
Follow peace with all men , and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

“All men” includes all those within the church, but also those outside the church, even if they are persecuting you. As Jesus said (Luke 6:27-28), “… love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.” Those are not easy words to obey! They apply to wives who have husbands who verbally abuse them.

They apply to believers who have family members who ridicule their faith or provoke them in an attempt to get them to deny their testimony. They apply to Christian teenagers whose parents are godless and verbally abusive. They apply to Christians who work with people who hate them for their faith, who spread falsehoods about them behind their backs.

Perhaps the most difficult place to apply these words, however, is toward fellow Christians who wrong you. We expect the world to act like the world. When unbelievers are verbally abusive or slander you, you tend to think, “Well, that’s the way unbelievers act!” But, when Christians do that, we’re shocked. We expect that from pagans, but we don’t expect that from fellow Christians! But it happens all the time, and it’s one of Satan’s most effective tools to sideline new believers: Get somebody in the church to spread nasty rumors or to say insensitive things about this new believer. Watch the new believer drop out of the race!

But, rather than dropping out, the author says that we must pursue peace with all men. Pursue is a strong word that means, in some contexts, “to persecute.” It means to go after peace with the effort that a hunter tracks down his prey. It implies concentrated effort. It won’t happen accidentally.

When someone hurts you, your tendency is to withdraw and lick your wounds. Put up a wall of protection around yourself, especially toward that mean person, so that it never happens again. Distance yourself from the one who hurt you and from everyone who believed that person’s cruel lies. Avoid talking to them. But, the author says, “Pursue peace with that person!”

LET US PRAY
May the Lord Jesus Christ help you and me to do his will accordingly in Jesus Name.

Others Brethren Need Your Help

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Others Brethren Need Your Help

Hebrews 12:12-14

TO PERSEVERE, WE MUST HELP EACH OTHER IN RUNNING THE RACE.

The wording of this exhortation allows it to be applied both individually and corporately. He doesn’t say, “Strengthen your own weak hands and knees,” although we must do that. Rather, “strengthen the hands and knees that are weak,” whether yours or someone else’s. You may need to come alongside your brother and help him wrap his sore joints. The word translated “make straight paths for your feet” comes from a word meaning, wheel tracks. The idea is that we’re leaving tracks for others to follow in.

Make sure that your life stays on the course so that someone else doesn’t follow you off course and be disqualified from the race. We aren’t running this race alone, or competing against each other. We’re all on the same team, and we need to encourage one another by our words and example to finish the course.

“But,” we may wonder, “what exactly is the course that we must run? How can we know where it goes?” In 12:14-17, he shows the path which we are to pursue. For now, we can only deal with verse 14.

We must pursue peace and purity to finish the Christian race: Stay on course (12:14)!

The course entails the two great commandments. Pursuing “peace with all men” is the second commandment, to “love your neighbor as yourself”
(Matt. 22:39).

To pursue “the sanctification without which no one will see the Lord” is the first commandment, to “love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind”
(Matt. 22:37).

Jesus links these two themes (in reverse order) in the Sermon on the Mount: “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God” (Matt. 5:8, 9).

The link between pursuing peace and sanctification shows that we must not pursue peace at any cost. As Paul puts it (Rom. 12:18), “If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men.” His words imply the reality of living in this fallen world, that sometimes it is not possible to be at peace with everyone.
Sometimes the other person clings to bitterness and hatred, and you can’t do anything more than you’ve done to be reconciled. At other times, to make peace would require compromising, either morally or doctrinally.

I want you to know this, You can’t sacrifice personal holiness or commitment to God’s truth for the sake of peace. God must be first in our life's
But, Whatever you can do without compromise, the race set before us includes pursuing both peace with others and purity before God.

LET US PRAY
In Jesus Name, you will not be a failure in life.

Winners Mind

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Winners Mind.

Hebrews 12:12-14

TO PERSEVERE, WE MUST DEAL WITH WEARINESS AND INJURIES IN THE RACE.

Weariness and injuries are inevitable in this lifelong race. The implication is, it’s not going to be easy to finish the course. The crucial question is, “Will you drop out because of the hardships or will you deal with the problems and keep running?” If you drop out, you need to examine whether you are truly saved.

Like that Olympic runner, true Christians finish the course. They may be limping and hurting with every step, but they cross the finish line, looking unto Jesus. They don’t quit because they’re tired or hurt. As the author said (Heb. 3:14), “For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our assurance firm until the end.”

In an actual race, the runner has to deal both with mental and physical hindrances. If the runner becomes mentally discouraged, he loses the motivation to keep going. Physically, he may turn his ankle or develop blisters or experience joint pain. He may have to stop at a rest station and deal with these problems in order to finish the race. But then he keeps going.

Spiritually, it is the same. We must battle in the realm of the spirit to overcome discouragement and to maintain hope and joy. Paul commands us to “keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth” (Col. 3:1-2). That can be a constant, hour-by-hour battle, depending on the intensity of the problems we are facing!

The appeal of our text is, “Deal with spiritual weariness and injuries so that they don’t put you out of the race!”

LET US PRAY
Every Spirit of failure and loser in you is cast out by fire in Jesus Name.

TOPIC: Are You Genuinely Saved?

PERSEVERANCE IS A MARK OF EVERY TRUE BELIEVER.

This is the great truth of Scripture, that those whom God saves, He keeps. Many verses teach this, but here are three of the strongest texts:

Philippians 1:6: For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.

John 10:27-30: [Jesus is speaking]: “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.”

Romans 8:29-30: For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified.

Paul continues the same theme to the end of that great chapter, arguing that if God did the greatest thing for us by not sparing His own Son, then nothing can separate us from His great love. It is a wonderful truth that God gives to His weak and struggling children for their assurance.

However, this doctrine is often misunderstood and misapplied. For example, some use this truth to give assurance to those who have professed Christ as Savior, but who have no evidence that God has changed their hearts.

Sometimes it is phrased, “once saved, always saved.", but the key question is, “Was this person once saved?”
Many who claim to be born again are not even truly and scripturally born again. So where is the assurance of heaven for them.

The parable of the sower teaches that it’s possible to make a profession of faith and even to exhibit some signs of new life (such as the seed on the rocky ground and thorny ground). But only the seed that “bears fruit with perseverance” (Luke 8:15) is genuinely saved.

If you only serve God when this is easy for you, your faith is doubted.
If you can't endure for your faith your faith is doubted.
If you are save for real till the lord comes you can not miss heaven if Jesus found you in faith.

LET US PRAY
NO POWER OF SIN AND HELL WILL OVERCOME YOU IN JESUS NAME.

Fighting, Finishing, and Keeping!

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Fighting, Finishing, and Keeping!

In the Christian life, finishing well means everything. As Paul faced execution, he wrote to Timothy, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith” (2 Tim. 4:7).

As Paul writes to Timothy and contemplates his impending death, he evaluates his life and ministry. While we live in a culture that exalts the winner and scorns the loser, Paul assesses his life based on three things: he fought the good fight, he finished the course, and he kept the faith. How interesting that there is no mention of winning—only that of fighting, finishing, and keeping!

We are so prone to think of ourselves as failures if we don’t set records or win so demonstrably as to have monuments built to our endeavors. But for Paul, most likely the greatest Christian who ever lived, it was a matter of endurance. For Paul, he won by lasting.

The author of Hebrews was concerned that some of his readers were about to drop out of the race because they were fainting under God’s discipline. “Therefore” (12:12) points back to what he has just said about the need to endure God’s discipline because it stems from His love and it is designed “for our good, so that we may share His holiness” (12:10). It also points back to our need to look to the greatest example, Jesus, “who for the joy set before Him endured the cross” (12:2). So the author is exhorting them (and us) to persevere in the Christian marathon, to stay in the race to the end, in spite of weariness or whatever injuries we may have sustained. He tells us that…

To finish the Christian race, persevere in the pursuit of peace and purity.

LET US PRAY
You will not be Spiritualy tired, you will finish well in Jesus Name.
Amen

Reason For a Conflict in your Marriage.

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Reason For a Conflict in your Marriage.

What would you consider is the basis for building an effective relationship involving two or more people?

1 Corinthians 1:10 gives the answer.
“I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment” (KJV).

That’s two people whose hearts beat together; their minds work together, their plans are the same, and their objectives are the same. That’s cooperation, and that’s how marriage should work.

But the normal kind of relationship between two or more people today is competitive, not cooperative. One partner has an idea on how something should go, and the other partner has their idea on how it should go. Does that sound familiar?

This condition is described in Isaiah 53:6 as selfishness. The actual verse says,

“All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way.”

You can’t build an effective relationship until you come to grips with this tendency of selfishness. Selfishness often happens whenever a decision has to be made between you and your partner. You don’t even have to work at it.

Talking it over, thinking there just needs to be more understanding, probably won’t work. It can just solidify your opposition to the other’s viewpoint, because the more you understand their viewpoint, the less you appreciate it. Maybe you try talking it over with friends. That too probably won’t work, for the same reason that just you and your partner talking it over didn’t work.

So when it comes to you both trying ways of coming to the right decision, and none work, you have to face the fact that you’ve hit a stalemate. You also have to face the fact that somebody has to have the last word and be the leader, or the problem won’t be solved. That’s a tough conclusion to come to, because even though you’ve tried ways to solve the dilemma, nothing has really changed. Why? You each still want your own way. You are still competing.

What is it that introduces the competition you still find yourselves involved in? It’s that selfish attitude that is still in control. Selfishness is the great hindrance to cooperation.

But you don’t need to be stuck there, in that spirit of selfishness. You just need a Savior. You need to surrender your competitive nature to God and let him give you an attitude of cooperation.

Read 1 Corinthians 1:10; Isaiah 53:6

TAKE A STEP

SOLUTION TO PROBLEM IN MARRIAGE.

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: SOLUTION TO PROBLEM IN MARRIAGE.

Almost every marriage starts out as a huge celebration. Together with their family and friends, each couple is full of hopes and dreams for their future life together. But the road to a happy marriage is far from easy. And as today’s divorce statistics demonstrate all too well, many couples opt not to complete the journey.

It would be easy to blame our high rate of marital failure on things like not spending enough quality time together, allowing bitterness and resentment to build in our hearts and failing to keep communication lines open.

But while quality time, forgiveness and communication are vitally important to creating a happy marriage, if such things aren’t happening, it’s usually a sign of a much deeper problem. And until this problem is addressed, no amount of external behavior modification will work.

an expert in the law, tested him [Jesus] with this question: “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
(Matthew 22:35-40)

I believe that virtually every marital problem can be traced back to one or both partners failing to abide by these two laws. The same is true of any relationship. The minute we begin to focus on our own wants and needs over those of God or our partner; we’re destined for trouble.

Experiencing communication problems in your marriage? How often do you really focus on listening to what your partner (or God) has to say instead of insisting on more airtime? Feeling bitterness and resentment growing toward your partner? When was the last time you brought him or her before the Lord in prayer and truly thanked God for your relationship? Struggling to find quality time together? How about praying with your partner and asking God how he would like you to use your time?

As you begin to do these things, you’ll notice that your focus automatically starts to shift away from you and your desires and over to God and your partner. As a result, communication problems begin to improve, anger and resentment fade away and you naturally want to spend more time together. Of course, you can’t expect such changes to happen overnight. Your relationship is also bound to face financial pressures, childrearing issues and other problems that are beyond your control. But if you commit your relationship to God and make a conscious decision each day to put God and your partner first, your marriage will be able to weather any storm. Not only that; you’ll also have plenty of fun together along the way!

LET US PRAY
I Command Every Power Causing Disorder in your Marriage to Catch fire in Jesus Name. You will Enjoy your marriage Henceforth.

Reward Are for the Winners.

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Reward Are for the Winners.

Rewards Are For Those Who Win The Race - The Prize of Eternal Life

Philippians 3:12-14 "I PRESS ON to Possess that PERFECTION for which CHRIST JESUS first possessed me. No, Dear Brothers & Sisters, I have Not Achieved it, but I FOCUS on this one thing: FORGETTING the PAST and Looking FORWARD to what lies ahead, I PRESS ON to reach the END OF THE RACE and Receive the HEAVENLY PRIZE for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us."

1 Corinthians 9:24-27 "Do you not know that those who Run in a Race all Run, but one RECEIVES THE PRIZE? Run in such a way that you may obtain it (THE PRIZE). And everyone who competes for the PRIZE is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a Perishable Crown, but we for an IMPERISHABLE CROWN. Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. But I DISCIPLINE my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have PREACHED TO OTHERS, I myself should become DISQUALIFIED."

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 (NKJV) “Therefore we DO NOT LOSE HEART. Even though our OUTWARD MAN is PERISHING, yet the INWARD MAN is being RENEWED DAY by DAY. For our LIGHT AFFLICTION, which is but for a MOMENT, is working for us a FAR more EXCEEDING & ETERNAL WEIGHT of GLORY, while we do NOT LOOK at the things which are SEEN, but at the things which are NOT SEEN. For the things which are SEEN are TEMPORARY, but the things which are NOT SEEN are ETERNAL.”

Brethren, you and me must rain the race with whatever it going to cost us to win so that we may receive the reward prepared for us, Don't be tired Jesus is coming soon.

LET US PRAY
In the name of Jesus your strength is renewed in the lord, your love for God is stronger than before, and you will not go to Hell at the end in Jesus name.

7 FACTS ON THE FIVE CROWNS & REWARDS

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: 7 FACTS ON THE FIVE CROWNS & REWARDS

2 Timothy 4:1 "I solemnly urge you before God and before Christ Jesus—who will someday JUDGE THE LIVING AND THE DEAD when He appears to set up his Kingdom."

1 - CROWNS & REWARDS ARE TO BE GUARDED

Revelation 3:11 Jesus says, "I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that NO ONE WILL TAKE AWAY YOUR CROWN."

2 - CROWNS ARE TO BE GUARDED AGAINST DECEIVERS & SPIRITUAL DECEPTION

2 John 1:7-8 "I say this because MANY DECEIVERS have gone out into the world. They deny that Jesus Christ came in a real body. Such a person is a DECEIVER and an Antichrist. Watch out that you do NOT LOSE what we have worked so hard to achieve. BE DILIGENT SO THAT YOU RECEIVE YOUR FULL REWARD."

3 - CROWNS ARE LOST WHEN GOOD DEED IS DONE WITH WRONG MOTIVES

Matthew 6:2 Jesus says, "Therefore, when you do a CHARITABLE DEED, do NOT sound a Trumpet before you as the Hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have GLORY FROM MEN. Assuredly, I say to you, THEY HAVE THEIR REWARD."

4 - GOLD CROWNS GIVEN

Revelation 4:4 "Twenty-Four Thrones surrounded Him (Jesus), and Twenty-Four Elders sat on them. They were all CLOTHED IN WHITE and had GOLD CROWNS ON THEIR HEADS."

5 - CROWNS WILL BE CAST DOWN BEFORE JESUS AT HIS THRONE

Revelation 4:10-11 "The Twenty-Four Elders will FALL DOWN BEFORE HIM who sits on the Throne, and will WORSHIP HIM who lives Forever and Ever, and will CAST THEIR CROWNS BEFORE THE THRONE, saying, "Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to Receive Glory and Honor and Power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they Existed, and were Created."

6 - JESUS WORE A CROWN OF THORNS AT HIS DEATH

Matthew 27:29 "And after twisting together a CROWN OF THORNS, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand; and they knelt down before Him and mocked Him, saying, "Hail, King of the Jews!"

7 - JESUS WEARS MANY CROWNS WHEN HE RETURNS

Revelation 19:11-19 "Then I saw Heaven opened, and a White Horse was standing there. It's Rider was named Faithful and True, for He JUDGES FAIRLY and wages a Righteous War. His Eyes were like Flames of Fire, and on His Head were MANY CROWNS. A Name was written on Him that no one understood except Himself. He wore a robe dipped in blood, and His Title was the Word of God. The Armies of Heaven, dressed in the finest of Pure White Linen, followed Him on White Horses. From His mouth came a sharp sword to strike down the Nations. He will Rule them with an iron rod. He will release the fierce Wrath of God, the Almighty, like juice flowing from a winepress. On His Robe at His thigh was written this Title: King of all Kings and Lord of all Lords."

LET US PRAY
May you never lose your reward in Jesus Name, you will receive your reward in Jesus Name,
