Taking the right part

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: TAKING THE RIGHT PART

Psalm 5

When you’re under attack, pray for the Lord to keep you on the righteous path (5:8).

David is painfully aware of the tendency that we all have, when under attack, to respond to our attackers in a sinful manner. When someone sins against you, it is very difficult to follow the command of 1 Peter 3:9, “not returning evil for evil or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead.” So David prays (5:8), “O Lord, lead me in Your righteousness because of my foes; make Your way straight before me.” His prayer isn’t just that God would protect him from the wicked, but also that God would protect him from becoming like the wicked.

David’s critics would have loved to see him stumble, so that they could have more ammunition to throw at him. It also would have brought an occasion for them to further mock David’s God. So he asks God to show him His way.

As I said, it is not necessarily wrong to defend yourself against critics that attack you. Paul did this in Galatians and 2 Corinthians. But it requires God’s wisdom to know when to defend yourself and when to ignore the critics. And whatever you do, it takes God’s grace and wisdom to respond in a gracious, Christlike manner.

LET US PRAY
May the light if God shine on your part to make your way right and lead you to your breakthrough in Jesus Name

GOD A RIGHTEOUS JUDGES

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: GOD A RIGHTEOUS JUDGES

PSALM 5

When you’re under attack, appeal to God as the righteous Judge (5:4-6).

David’s reasoning here is that since his enemies are so evil, surely God, who is righteous, will act on his behalf. So David rehearses God’s righteousness to encourage himself with the truth that God will right all wrongs.

A. GOD IS SEPARATE FROM ALL EVIL AND WILL JUDGE ALL EVILDOERS.

When David says that God does not take pleasure in wickedness (5:4) it is a figure of speech that means, He hates it! Far from winking at sin or chuckling about it, God stands apart from it and His Word warns us repeatedly that He will condemn all unrepentant sinners to the Lake of Fire forever. If you think that your good deeds will outweigh your bad deeds and get you into heaven, you’re going to be terribly shocked! Just a single sin will bar you from heaven, unless you trust in Jesus as your Savior.

You often hear the cliché that God loves the sinner, but hates the sin. But here David says that God not only hates the sin, He also hates “all who do iniquity” (5:5). “The Lord abhors the man of bloodshed and deceit” (5:6).
Jonathan Edwards no doubt had texts like this in mind when he preached his famous sermon, “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God.” There Edwards warned (The Works of Jonathan Edwards [Banner of Truth], 2:10), “The God that holds you over the pit of hell, much as one holds a spider, or some loathsome insect, over the fire, abhors you, and is dreadfully provoked: his wrath towards you burns like fire….”

That doesn’t quite sound like, “God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life”! So, does God love the sinner or hate him? Doesn’t the Bible say that He loves the whole world?

Calvin (The Institutes of the Christian Religion, edited by John McNeill [Westminster Press], 2.16.2-4) explains the apparent contradiction by saying that we need the verses about God’s hatred of sinners so that we will be overwhelmed with how terrible and offensive our sin is to an absolutely holy God. Only then will we properly appreciate what He did for us in Christ.
He cites Augustine who explains that in a sense, God loved us even when He hated us. He hated us for our sin and rebellion, but He loved us in Christ before the foundation of the world.

In my judgment, we err if we are quick to tell arrogant, unrepentant sinners that God loves them. They need to hear that they are objects of His terrible wrath.

If a person is broken by his sin and guilt, then yes, tell him of God’s love in Christ. But otherwise, he needs to hear of the terrors of the coming judgment.

But in Psalm 5, David rehearses God’s hatred of the unrepentant wicked to encourage himself with the fact that God will bring justice for His people. But there is also an inherent warning for believers here:

In Jesus Name, you will not see the wroth of God

When Enemy Attack

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: WHEN ENEMY ATTACK

Psalm 5.

PRAY SYSTEMATICALLY.

David says (5:3b), “In the morning I will order my prayer to You.” The Hebrew word for “order” was used of the priests ordering the sacrifice on the altar and arranging the bread of the presence on the table. Some apply that by suggesting that our prayers should be orderly or systematic, and that may be a helpful approach. I am not as systematic as some, who pray for different categories on different days of the week. But I often follow the outline of the Lord’s Prayer as a pattern for prayer.

PRAY EXPECTANTLY.

David also says that he will “eagerly watch.” It is the same word that Habakkuk uses (2:1) when he says, “I will stand on my guard post and station myself on the rampart; and I will keep watch to see what He will speak to me, and how I may reply when I am reproved.” It pictures a guard at his military post, waiting for the messenger that he has sent to return. It implies that when we pray, we should look for the answer. As our King, we can expect God to listen and respond to our needs as His subjects. So when you’re under attack, take refuge in the Lord through prayer.

LET US PRAY
Your prayer will be answer and you will smile and jump for joy before the end of this week in Jesus Name,

When the Enemy Attack

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: WHEN THE ENEMY ATTACK

...CONTINUE FROM YESTERDAY.

Psalm 5.

This is what to do when the enemy attack,
PRAY PERSONALLY.

David addresses God as “my King and my God” (5:2). The name Lord (5:1, 2) is Yahweh, the personal covenant name of God. Even though David was the king, he knew that he only served under a far greater King, the Lord God. As Matthew Henry put it (Matthew Henry’s Commentary [Fleming H. Revell], 3:255), “Kings on their own thrones (so David was) must be beggars at God’s throne.” David knew God personally as “my King” and “my God.” He was in a close personal relationship with God. He was not a stranger in God’s presence.

Prayer should be a personal, intimate relationship between you and God.
You must come before Him as your King, the Lord of your life. You cannot pray rightly unless you are submissive to do His will. You must know Him as your Lord and Savior, who invites you to come into His presence through the blood of Jesus.

When the enemy attack you, don't be weary, that is the time you need to PRAY PERSISTENTLY.

Twice David says that he will pray “in the morning” (5:3). The idea is that David’s first thought on waking was about the threats of these evil enemies. So he immediately turned those thoughts into prayer. Whatever trials God sends into our lives are to cause us to turn to Him in honest, personal, persistent prayer.

Morning prayer is our duty because then we are the most fresh and most lively!
But whenever you pray, be persistent at it. Spurgeon said (A Treasury of David [Baker] 1:50), “Prayer should be the key of the day and the lock of the night.”

LET US PRAY
May the Lord empower you to overcome all your enemy and destroy their attack in Jesus Name

When Enemy Attack

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: WHEN ENEMY ATTACK

Psalm 5.

When you’re under attack, take refuge in the Lord through prayer (5:1-3).

The normal response when you’re attacked is to fight back immediately. As the person is accusing you, you’re thinking of what you can say to get back at him. If he insults you, you’re thinking of a better insult to hurl back at him and you hardly let him stop speaking before you let it fly. But David didn’t do that. He took his complaint to the Lord in honest, personal, persistent, expectant prayer.

PRAY HONESTLY.

David’s repeated appeals (5:1-2), “Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my groaning, heed the sound of my cry for help,” are not the politically careful words of a man who is trying to project that he has it all together. Rather, they are the honest groans and cries of a man in great need. The word translated “groaning” is used only one other time (Ps. 39:3, “musing”) and refers to silent or barely audible sounds.
The repetition conveys David’s honest, heartfelt cry to God. He wasn’t putting on his Sunday best and framing his words in a controlled, restrained manner. He was calling out to God honestly in his pain.

God knows everything about us, so it’s ridiculous to try to hide our feelings from Him. As Psalm 62:8 exhorts, “Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.” So pray honestly, even if you’re groaning.

LET US PRAY
May God deliver you from every demonic and spiritual Attack in Jesus Name

The Anointing

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: The Anointing

The anointing was for consecration; it meant Separation and it had everything to do with serving the Lord.
The first mention of oil being poured on something was used on the stone by Jacob in Gen. 28:18; he called it the house of God.

In Gen. 35:14 he again poured oil with a drink offering on the stone, in typology this speaks of Christ.

The anointing with oil was a symbol of endowment with the Spirit of God.
In the Old Testament the custom of the Jews to anoint with oil was to set apart Kings and Priests 1 Sam. 10:1,6; 16:13. It was for serving in the office to which a person was consecrated to (Lev. 8). It was a physical symbol consecrating them to service, showing they were appointed by God.

In the Bible we find anointed places and objects (Exodus 29:36 anointed altar. Ex 30:26 anointed tabernacle and ark. All these were set apart for use in religious service, and for nothing else.) These are all types of ministry and service.

In the New Testament it is people, living temples that God has the anointing dwell in and on.

In the Old Testament two elements that were present in worship were blood and oil. The blood was for cleansing and the oil was used for anointing. All these like the other elements used, are types and symbols of Christ. The tabernacle, the feasts are all typology of Christ.

The anointing is the overflow of Christ, When you are call anointed it mean the Lord's presence is with you, when you are anointed you are concentrated, you are separated you are in a service for God,

LET US PRAY
In the name of Jesus let the anointing of Christ come upon you mightily and separate you from every demonic influence and power in Jesus name you are for signs and wonders

GET INTO THE REALM OF THE ANOINTING

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: GET INTO THE REALM OF THE ANOINTING

THE ANOINTING BREAKS THE YOKE

It seems that the church is under an all-out attack from the powers of darkness. Everyone I speak to is experiencing new troubles, new attacks that they have never seen before. The devil knows that his time is short and he is doing all he can to destroy God’s people and to discourage them in their work for the Lord.

Every one is under this same duress. Not only is God doing a sifting process to make our lives pure and holy before him, but Satan desires to sift each of us like wheat, just as Jesus said to Peter, in Luke 22:31, "And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:"

My brothers and sisters, we cannot stand under the power of Satan’s sifting by ourselves. We must have the indwelling power of the Holy Ghost that gives us the power to be over comers in this life.

Isaiah 51:23, "But I will put it into the hand of them that afflict thee; which have said to thy soul, Bow down, that we may go over: and thou hast laid thy body as the ground, and as the street, to them that went over."

Never, in the history of mankind, has there been so much sin abounding in the earth. Satan is like the enemies of Israel who said to the Jews, Bow down to me, I’m going walk all over you. I’m going to use your life to accomplish my will. I’m going to use you as my stepping stones to defeat the Kingdom of God. I’m going to trample your life, stomp on your Jesus, and push your face into the mud of your sin.

All too often, God’s people do just exactly what the devil wants them to do. I see God’s people as they bow down before the devil. They may not know that’s what they are doing but that’s exactly what they are doing.

The devil shouts into your ear that you will never make it – you don’t have what it takes to live for Jesus. Do you know that Satan knows how to use God’s own words against you if you can’t discern his methods. He twists that word until he makes us believe what he wants us to believe. NO, we don’t have what it takes to live for Jesus within our own power. NO, we will never make it on our own.

But praise the Lord Jesus Christ and give glory to his wonderful name for we don’t have to bow down and let the devil trample all over us because we have the power through the anointing of the Holy Ghost that will break that yoke of fear that grips our hearts.

I know I can’t preach without Him! I know that I can’t do anything on my own, but bless the Lord, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me! I’ll not bow down and be a part of the devil’s pathway to destroy the church. I’ll not be a stepping-stone for him to trample under foot.

The devil has only one place in your life and that’s under the feet of Jesus Christ who lives inside of you!

LET US PRAY
every Satanic person or power that is ruling your life is cast out by fire in Jesus Name

7 THINGS THE ANOINTING WILL DO FOR YOU!

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

Topic 7 THINGS THE ANOINTING WILL DO FOR YOU!

We live in a day that is filled with both unthinkable peril and unimaginable opportunity. And if ever there was a time in history when the body of Christ needed God’s anointing power, it is now! But what is the anointing, how do you move into it, and how do you see it increase?

Seven Results of Abiding in God’s Anointing

The anointing is the overflow of Christ in your life! It comes to us as we spend time in God’s Word, seek Him with our whole heart, and worship Him. Jesus said:

“If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you” (John 15:7).

We increase the anointing by spending time in His presence. And you will certainly know when the presence of the Holy Spirit has come upon your life.

Here are seven things that the anointing will bring to you when it begins to increase and flow:

HEALING.

Just like when the good Samaritan ministered to the man who had been robbed, stripped, and left for dead (Luke 10:33-34), the minute God’s anointing starts to flow on you, it will heal you.
Your heart will be healed. He will restore your health. And you will become a minister of His healing power. That is promised in God’s Word.

REVELATION.

The anointing will change your life. Exodus 25:6 talks about the oil that brings light. It pierces the darkness and illuminates everything around it.
Nothing can stop it because the anointing is the overflow of Christ’s life. And once the anointing starts to flow over you, it brings revelation knowledge, allowing you to move into a supernatural walk with God.

PROVISION.

In 1 Kings 17:14, we read about Elijah and the widow of Zarephath. She desperately needed a miracle. All she had left for herself and her son was a handful of meal and a small amount of oil. God performed a life-changing miracle for her, multiplying her offering far beyond anything she could have dreamed.

The oil did not fail. And today, when God moves in your life, the oil begins to flow, meeting every need in your life. There will be no lack. That’s what God wants for you today.
He is moving mightily upon the earth—as you seek Him with your whole heart, the oil will flow on you, and every need in your life will be met!

DEBT-FREE LIVING.

A widow came to Elisha and cried out about the debts that had overtaken her and her sons after her husband’s death (2 Kings 4:1-7). God used all she had, a pot of oil—it multiply supernaturally, and she was able to pay off all her debts!

DELIVERANCE.

David spoke of the oil of anointing (Psalm 23:1-5) and how it delivered him from all his enemies. Not only that, but he also spoke of God’s faithfulness in protecting him when he wrote, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.”

FAITH.

We are told that the watchman, of Isaiah 21:5, was directed to anoint the shield. Just as oil was used then, the oil of God’s anointing must be used today. Faith must be activated and released, then God will protect you with the shield of faith because of that anointing.

Today, regardless of your circumstances, He wants to release a mighty anointing on your life to protect you, completely and totally, but you must first activate it!

BLESSINGS.

Psalm 133 speaks about the precious oil of anointing that flowed over Aaron, then God directed the high priest to command His blessings: “The Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore” (verse 3) upon the children of Israel. Today, He commands the blessings on you through His Word. He even says, “All the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us” (2 Corinthians 1:20).

Every one of these seven promises of His anointing is for us today, to the glory of God!

LET US PRAY
The Anointing of the Holy Spirit will break all yokes of your life and usher you into your realm of possibility in Jesus Name

Teach us to number our days

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Teach us to number our days

I dedicate today's morning meal to my wife on her Birthday, A Virtuous Wife A Good Mother, A Lovely Friend and A Spiritual Mother to Many in the Lord.

Psa 90:12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

Shouldn’t we just forget the past and move forward?!

Deu 32:7 Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy father, and he will shew thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee.

Number them! Why?

1. To thank God for where we are coming from where we are and where we are going,

2. To remember how short our lives are,

Psa 90:5-6 Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they are like grass which groweth up. In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth.

3. To work more for God

Ecc 12:1 Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;

Ecc 12:8 Vanity of vanities, saith the preacher; all is vanity.

Number your days…you will understand that you have already consumed most of them.

Many of what we face today is the result of yesterday.
I urge you to continue the good work, be encouraged and stand strong in the Lord, you have many children in the Lord who is looking up to God in your life, you don't have to give up the good work, you have to keep it up,

We celebrate you today because you are good mother, wife, sister and friend,
may Heaven celebrate you and bless you with your heart desire in Jesus name,
Happy Birthday dear wife.

Christian and Violence

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: CHRISTIAN AND VIOLENCE

"What does the Bible say about violence?"

Violence is defined as “physical force exerted for the purpose of violating, damaging, or abusing,” and sadly, violence is a part of everyday life. It’s in our movies and television shows, and we live in a world where power is often established through violence. But for Christians, the way of the world is always trumped by the truth of the Word. So what does the Bible say about violence?

First of all, violence in the mind is just as hurtful as violence by the hands. Leviticus 19:17 says, “Do not hate your brother in your heart. Rebuke your neighbor frankly so you will not share in his guilt.” When we know someone is in sin, is it more loving to keep it quiet and build up hate and resentment towards them? God says that we should speak frankly, and Jesus tells us in Matthew 5:21-22 that murderous anger can lead the angry man to judgment from God as quickly as a physical blow. The violence he exhibits toward someone else can be brought back upon himself by God.

What about violence in war? Exodus 20:13 had been incorrectly translated as “do not kill,” but it literally means “do not murder.” God has allowed for just wars throughout the history of His people. From Abraham to Deborah to David, God’s people have fought as instruments of judgment from a righteous and holy God. Romans 13:1-4 tells us to submit ourselves to government authorities and that nations have the right to bear the sword against evildoers, both foreign and domestic.

Violence occurs, but we must recognize the difference between holy judgment on sin and our own personal vendettas against those we dislike, which is the inevitable outcome of pride (Psalm 73:6). While men are more prone to accept violence (especially as cultures depict real men as those who never cry, always have a plan, and carry a gun), the wisest man of all time wrote, “Do not envy a violent man or choose any of his ways” (Proverbs 3:31). Prayer, dialogue and patience beats violence and anger on any day.

LET US PRAY
May God silent evert agent of war in our life's and again Christian in our country in Jesus Name

Reason to stop Jealousy and Envy

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Reason to stop Jealousy and Envy

OVERCOMING JEALOUS pt 2

...CONTINUE FROM YESTERDAY...

7. Jealousy and envy spoils one’s own pleasure. Solomon wrote, "A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones." (Prov. 14:30)

8. Jealousy and envy are highly destructive to one’s relationships. Solomon wrote, "Wrath is cruel and anger is outrageous, but who is able to stand before envy?" (Prov. 27:4)

9. Jealousy and envy are vain efforts. Solomon wrote, "Again, I considered all travail, and every right work, that for this a man is envied of his neighbor. This is also vanity and vexation of spirit." (Eccl. 4:4)

10. We are commanded to stop all forms of jealousy and envy for our own good. Paul wrote, "Let us not desire vainglory, provoking one another, envying one another." (Gal. 5:26)

11. Avoid the companionship of jealous or envious people. Solomon wrote, "Be not envious against evil men, neither desire to be with them." (Prov. 24: 1)

12. Telling the truth is healthy preventative medicine for jealousy. James wrote, "But if you have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth." (James 3: 14) No one knows all the facts of another person’ s situation.

ARE YOU A JEALOUS PERSON?

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: ARE YOU A JEALOUS PERSON?

John 3:22-36

Do you consider yourself a
jealous person? I know that most of us would respond immediately and say, "Oh no, not me...I am not a jealous person at all.

Let's see for a moment if you are a jealous person:

Are you bothered when someone else receives more attention than you?
Do you rejoice in the successes of other people?
Do you struggle with being second, rather than being first?

See what happen here (Vs. 22-26)
We are in the first year of the public
ministry of JesusThe Calm Year of His Life. Many converts were coming to Him, following Him in baptism.

(John 4:2 teaches us Jesus did not baptize them, but His disciples did the baptizing.)
Not far from them John the Baptist and his disciples were also baptizing some converts. At this time John had not been thrown into prison, but the time is drawing near to his beheading.

(Vs. 25-26) John's disciples began to raise a question about purification or about the value of their baptism since more people
are now going to Jesus. Notice: "He is baptizing and all are coming to Him." What was the problem? Was it baptism or something else?

John the Baptist's disciples were truly Baptists but the bottom-line problem was jealousy,
but they attempted to cover it up with spiritual talk.
John's disciples were jealous that more people were going to Jesus than to John the Baptist. They had missed the entire role of John the Baptist
to be a forerunner of Jesus Christ.

WHAT IS JEALOUSY?
Jealousy is a painful or resentful desire for another's advantages. It means to envy or covet what someone else has.

*In this story they were jealous of the attention Jesus received.

The problem of jealousy is so prevalent among people in our day,
especially in the church.

For example:
"Why don't I get to sing as much as so-and-so sings...?"
"Why didn't they ask me to teach in that class... Etc

If you find yourself in this act, you are a jealous person and it's not bad to want good things in the life of others but should not be envious.

All you need now is to come out of the envious jealousy and accept what God has done for you because you too are great in your own way,

JEALOUSY KILL THE TRUTH IN US.

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC JEALOUSY KILL THE TRUTH IN US.

This is an example of faulty assumptions that too many of us are guilty of. We all need to find the root causes of jealousy instead of dealing with superficial symptoms.

Why do you suppose that many people allow jealousy to hinder their relationships, spiritual growth or ministry?

The Jews became infuriated with jealousy toward Paul and Barnabas when they preached that God’s blessings were now available to all Gentiles. Quickly, the Jews whipped up antagonistic opposition against Paul and Barnabas.

Luke wrote, "When the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy, and began contradicting the things spoken by Paul and were blaspheming." (Acts 13:45)

Whenever, people become obsessed with jealousy they demonstrate a misperception of the truth. The Jews were careful to guard their own misconceived rights, privileges and status as the only people of God.
Resentful suspicion of the Gentiles and their new influence completely enraged the Jewish leaders.

Be careful not to fall into any trap of jealousy or you will lose your perspective of the truth and love of God.

Ask the Lord to help you replace any jealous feelings with a trust in the Lord’s ability to do what is best in His own sovereign way.

LET US PRAY
in Jesus Name, every satanic trap set to catch you will catch the setter in Jesus Name,

Sin of Envy or Jealousy

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Sin of Envy or Jealousy

Jealousy and envy are sins that kill with words
Envy is an ugly sin that grows like a weed

(1 Sam 18:6-9; 19:1-7) tells the story of Saul, the king of Israel, and his jealousy towards David. After the victory over the Philistines, the women joyfully sang, “Saul has slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands.” From that day forward, Saul looked on David with suspicion, fearing that David might betray him.

Ultimately, Saul decided to kill him. Later he followed the advice of his son and reconsidered. But his wicked thoughts returned.

Jealousy, is “a sickness” that returns and brings with it envy:

“How ugly envy is?
it is an attitude, it is an ugly sin. And jealousy or envy grows in the heart like a weed: it grows, but it doesn’t allow good plants to grow. It harms everything that its shadow seems to fall upon. There is no peace! It is a tormented heart, it is an ugly heart! But the envious heart, too – we hear it here – leads to killing, to death. And Scripture says clearly: through the envy of the devil, death entered the world.”

Envy kills, even in our communities
“Envy kills,”
“It does not tolerate others having something that I do not have. And it always suffers, because the heart of an envious or jealous person suffers. It is a suffering heart!” It is a suffering that desires “the death of others.”

But how many times, in our communities – and we don’t have to look too far to see this – are people killed, through jealousy,
with the tongue? Someone is envious of this, of the other, and they begin to gossip – and gossip kills

We need to think and reflect on this passage, invite Ourself – and everyone – to see if, in out heart, there is any jealousy, any envy, which always leads to death and doesn’t make us happy; because this sickness always leads us to regard the good others possess as if it were against us. And this is an ugly sin.

It is the beginning of many, many crimes. Let us ask the Lord to give us the grace not to open the heart to jealousy, not to open the heart to envy, because these things always lead to death.

Jesus handed over out of envy by noting that Jesus was handed over to Pontius Pilate because of the envy of the chief priests and the scribes

According to the interpretation of Pilate – who was very intelligent, but a coward – envy was what lead to the death of Jesus: the instrument, the ultimate instrument. They handed him over out of envy.

Everyone has their sins, everyone has their virtues. They are specific to each individual. Look at the good, and do not kill with gossip through envy or jealousy.

Every evil power hired to destroy us is cast out by fire in Jesus Name,

What prayer does

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: WHAT PRAYER DOES

Prayer Allows us to Participate in God's Works

Does God need our help? No. He is all powerful and in control of everything in His creation. Why do we need to pray? Because prayer is the means God has ordained for some things to happen. Prayer, for instance, helps others know the love of Jesus. Prayer can clear human obstacles out of the way in order for God to work. It is not that God can't work without our prayers, but that He has established prayer as part of His plan for accomplishing His will in this world.

Prayer Gives us Power Over Evil

Can physical strength help us overcome obstacles and challenges in the spiritual realm? No, "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms" (Ephesians 6:12). But in prayer even the physically weak can become strong in the spiritual realm. As such, we can call upon God to grant us power over evil.

"For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come." -1 Timothy 4:8
"Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak." – Matthew 26:41

TOPIC: WHAT IS PRAYER

Prayer is How We Communicate with God

Prayer allows us to worship and praise the Lord. It also allows us to offer confession of our sins, which should lead to our genuine repentance.
Moreover, prayer grants us the opportunity to present our requests to God. All of these aspects of prayer involve communication with our Creator. He is personal, cares for us, and wants to commune with us through prayer.

" … if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." -2 Chronicles 7:14

Isaiah wrote, "He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint" (Isaiah 40:29-31).

Hebrews 4:15-16 reads, "For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are - yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need."

Prayer is not just about asking for God's blessings – though we are welcome to do so – but it is about communication with the living God. Without communication, relationships fall apart. So, too, our relationship with God suffers when we do not communicate with Him.

Every evil communication that is causing your downfall I break it by fire in Jesus Name

Why did Jesus pray?

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: WHY DID JESUS PRAY?

good morning brethren, I have to be sorry for a breaking in our morning meal of late, it is due to much ministry assignment. God bless you today I want us to know Jesus Prayed Regularly

But Why did Jesus pray?

One reason he prayed was as an example so that we could learn from him. The Gospels are full of references to the prayers of Christ, including these examples:

"After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray." –Matthew 14:23

"Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them, 'Sit here while I go over there and pray.'" –Matthew 26:36

"Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed." –Mark 1:35

"But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed." –Luke 5:16

"One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God." –Luke 6:12

"Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up." –Luke 18:1

If Jesus is doing all this I don't want you to forget the purpose. The purpose is for me and you to follow his step in prayer,
Have you done that this morning? Do you know you can pray anytime any day, anywhere any how as the Lord enable you,
Let prayer be one of your daily favourite spiritual Activities.

Before you talk to man talk to God,
When you tarry with God men will answer to you.

LET US PRAY
IN JESUS NAME HEAVEN AND EARTH WILL ALWAYS ATTENDS TO YOUR VOICE IN PRAYER IN JESUS NAME.
