We must be part of the fellowship of His Suffering

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: WE MUST BE PART OF THE FELLOWSHIP OF HIS SUFFERING

TO BE LIKE CHRIST REQUIRES KNOWING THE FELLOWSHIP OF HIS SUFFERINGS.

Our Savior came to suffer for our sins on the cross. His entire ministry was marked by misunderstanding, opposition, betrayal, and death. While we can never enter into His sufferings in the same way that He suffered on the cross, there is a sense in which we can never be like Him if we do not go through suffering and learn to entrust our souls to a faithful Creator in doing what is right (1 Pet. 4:19; see also 1 Pet. 2:21-23; 4:13; Rom. 8:17-25; 2 Cor. 1:5).

Hebrews 5:8 makes the startling statement that “Jesus learned obedience through the things He suffered.” It does not mean that Jesus was disobedient and had to learn to be obedient through suffering. It means that He had never experienced the test of obedience until He suffered. His suffering for our sins on the cross was the ultimate test of His submission to the will of the Father. If we are to be like Him, we must also learn to obey God through suffering.

LET US PRAY
In Jesus Name you will not suffer from the hands of the Devil and whatever is causing you pain is hereby remove in your life in Jesus Name

Our Goal as Christian

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: OUR GOAL AS CHRISTIAN

Philippians 3:10-11

The goal of the Christian life is to be like Christ.

When you met your future mate, fell in love and got married, your life was permanently changed. You would never be the same again. It is the same, only much more so, when you meet Jesus as Savior and Lord. He marks you for life, and the more time you spend growing to know Him, the more you are different. The rest of verses 10 & 11 shows the components and direction of the change that goes along with knowing Christ.

TO BE LIKE CHRIST REQUIRES KNOWING THE POWER OF HIS RESURRECTION.

Paul came to know the power of the resurrected Lord when he was struck down on the Damascus Road. Even though not all conversions are as dramatic as Paul’s was, all conversions do require the same mighty power of the risen Lord Jesus Christ, because they all require God to raise the sinner from spiritual death to spiritual life (Eph. 2:4-6). Other Scriptures compare conversion to opening the eyes of the blind so that they can turn from darkness to light; and, to delivering captives from Satan’s domain to God’s kingdom (Acts 26:18; Col. 1:13). These are not things that can be accomplished through human persuasion or through a self-improvement program. They require the same mighty power of God that raised Jesus from the dead.

That same resurrection power is necessary to sustain the believer as he walks in victory over sin. Paul prays for the Ephesians (1:19-20) that they would know “what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe [which is] in accordance with the strength of His might which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead ....” He prays for these same Christians (Eph. 3:16-17) that God “would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man; so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.”

LET US PRAY
In Jesus Name you will not lose your Salvation you will not backslide, you will end well

Knowing Christ and Being Like Him

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Knowing Christ and Being Like Him

(Philippians 3:10-11)

Someone has wisely pointed out, “One of the most dangerous forms of human error is forgetting what one is trying to achieve"

That is especially true in the Christian life. It’s easy to get sidetracked. We need to be clear and focused at all times on what it is we’re after.

What is the goal of the Christian life? If we forget it, we’re not likely to achieve it. It can be stated in several forms, but in our text, the apostle Paul nicely sums up what we’re supposed to be aiming at:

The goal of the Christian life is to know Christ and to be like Him.

That’s it, isn’t it! Christianity is definitely nota religion of rules and rituals that we must work at keeping in order to climb the ladder to heaven. Rather, it is a personal, growing relationship with the risen, living Lord Jesus Christ that results in our growing conformity to Him. Our goal is to know Him and to become like Him.

LET US PRAY
In Jesus Name, you will not die a spiritual death

Why Giving Is So Important

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Why Giving Is So Important:

1 Giving makes me MORE LIKE GOD

“God so loved the world that He gave his only Son ...” John 3:16 ESV

God is a Giver! He gave us life. He gave us this world to enjoy. He even gave us his only Son so that we might have a relationship with Him. That most famous of verses, John 3:16, shows us the connection between loving and giving. You can give without loving, but you cannot love without giving!

2 Giving draws me CLOSER TO GOD

“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:21  NIV

Where I put my money, my time, my efforts, my thinking, my life... that’s where my heart will be! So where do I want my heart? If I want to be more like God, then I’ll also want to be closer to God. When I give out of a heart of love and compassion, I’ll find that I’m also next to God’s heart.

3 Giving strengthens my FAITH

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, do not depend on your own understanding.  Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce.” Proverbs 3:5, 9 NLT

Nothing strengthens my faith more than giving when I don’t understand how in the world I possibly can do so. Giving the way God gives - and the way He wants us to give - goes beyond our budgeting. It requires faith. The more I give, the stronger my faith will become. This is so because I discover that I cannot out give God. The more I give, the more He provides me the ability to give.

“Give, and it will be given to you... For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.” Luke 6:38 NIV

Giving of our money and material possessions is the only place in the Bible where God literally says, “I dare you.” Here is Mark’s translation: “Give with a cup and you will be measured back a cup. Give with a dump truck and you will be measured back with a dump truck!”

4 Giving is an investment FOR ETERNITY

“... Give happily to those in need, and always be ready to share whatever God has given you. By doing this, you will be storing up real treasure for yourselves in heaven - it is the only safe investment for eternity.” 1 Timothy 6:18-19 LB

5 Giving reveals my SPIRITUAL MATURITY

“But just as you excel in everything - in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness... - see that you also excel in this grace of giving.” 2 Corinthians 8:7 NIV

Ultimately giving is more about my spiritual maturity than it is about the actual gift. Our finances are the last part of our personal life that we will release in trust to God. We hold on to our money and our wealth as a form of security. We cannot trust in God AND trust in our money at the same time. Giving is the discipline of learning to trust God. And it reveals to us the truth of our spiritual maturity.

LET US PRAY
May God gives you a divine connection that will turn your life around for better in Jesus Name

Giving grows our faith in God

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Giving grows our faith in God

Philippians 4:19 KJV
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Perhaps some of the members of the church at Philippi had given to Paul's ministry but were worried they might not have enough money left to meet their own needs. Paul gave them a great promise to stand upon.
Many Christians sit at the kitchen table or at a desk each month with their bills, and they conclude they have no or little money to give to the church. Putting braces on the kids' teeth, paying for college tuition, buying new tires for the car, and replacing the roof on the house loom as larger priorities than faithful financial stewardship.

Verse 19 encourages us to take the step of faith and to give, trusting God to meet our needs.
God meets our needs personally ("my God").
He meets our needs liberally ("all your needs").
He meets our needs gloriously ("according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus").

LET US PRAY
In Jesus Name, God will meet your need and supply you abundantly

Giving makes us partners in ministry and pays spiritual dividends

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Giving makes us partners in ministry and pays spiritual dividends

Philippians 4:14,17-18 KJV
Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction. [17] Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. [18] But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.

Paul said about this gift of money sent by the church at Philippi (Read verse 14). The word share is the same word often translated as "fellowship." The word denotes partnership. Each time we give to the Lord's work, we partner with other Christians to help advance the kingdom. That exciting thought puts joy in our hearts.

Paul made clear he was not looking for monetary gifts for his own benefit.
Giving blesses the one who gives more than the one who receives the gift. The phrase "credited to your account" implies that giving to the Lord is like investing in kingdom matters. Kingdom work pays spiritual dividends.

Giving from the right motives and for the right reasons becomes in God's sight, (Read v.18). This language from the Old Testament shows that our giving becomes an act of worship and devotion to God. Sacrifices to God fill our hearts with great joy (see Ps. 4:5, 7).

LET US PRAY
Today the lord deliver you from power and spirit of poverty in Jesus Name

Be Contented

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Be Contented

Philippians 4:11 KJV
Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

Paul did not want this church to think that his joy rested on whether he had money. Paul had schooled himself to be satisfied with whatever he had. He had joy in his life, not because his purse was full, but because he had learned contentment.

The Greek Stoics used the word content to describe self-sufficiency. Paul believed his sufficiency was in Christ (Read Hebrews 13:5). Paul believed that whether you were naked or clothed, hungry or filled, rich or poor, if you had the Lord in your life, you had everything you needed.

Our consumer-oriented society pressures us to place too much value on material things, to the point that our joy is based on how much we have. This approach to life results in chronic dissatisfaction. We never seem to have enough.

LET US PRAY
May the lord satisfy you with his riches this week in Jesus Name.

Giving Revives Our Concern

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Giving Revives Our Concern

Philippians 4:10 KJV
But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.

The word flourish in verse 10 pictures something that was dead now coming to life. The word sometimes is translated as revived. The word pictures a tree or plant that is barren in the winter, but when spring comes, the tree or plant blossoms with new shoots and flowers.

The Philippian Christians had been barren in expressing their concern for Paul, but now, with the gift of money they sent him, they were blossoming anew with concern for Paul's welfare.
Giving takes the focus off ourselves and puts it onto someone or something else. Giving becomes a tangible way we can express concern and love to other people.

LET US PRAY
In Jesus Name you will not be a beger and this week God will bless you abundantly

Things that happen when we pray

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: THINGS THAT HAPPEN WHEN WE PRAY

PRAYER OPEN OUR SPIRITUAL EYES
It enables us to get in touch with what God is doing and how He is doing it.
In II Kings 6 you may recall the story of when the Army of Israel was surrounded by their enemies and Elijah's servant got nervous. Verses 15-17 say

Now when the attendant of the man of God had risen early and gone out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was circling the city. And his servant said to him, "Alas, my master! What shall we do?" 16So he answered, "Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them." 17Then Elisha prayed and said, "O LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see." And the LORD opened the servant's eyes and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

PRAYER OPENS OUR EYES, ENABLING US TO SEE WHAT GOD IS DOING, to see things we are blinded to without prayer. That's because prayer is communication. We speak to God, God answers us, speaking to us, showing us.

IT ALIGNS OUR HEART WITH GOD'S HEART
Adjustment, alignment, setting our thoughts, emotions, actions.

PRAYER ENABLES US TO MOVE FORWARD
Prayer engages God, enables God's people, and enlarges His kingdom. Jesus said, "without Me, you can do nothing." Once we have prayed we are ready to do anything, until we have prayed we can do nothing, but once we have prayed we can accomplish anything.

What does your prayer life look like this morning? Are you persistent in prayer? Are your prayers passionate or are they perfunctory? Are they filled with intensity and fervor or are they weak, timid and lacking faith? What about gratitude? How much time have you spent thanking God for all He has done for you? And who are you praying for? Is there anyone in your life that you are praying will get saved? Is there a burden on your heart to see God's kingdom expand, to see His will done?

LET US PRAY
Every ugly situation that is disgracing and embarrassing you will start turning to your blessing and favor in Jesus Name

Pray, Making intercession

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Pray, Making Intercession

Intercessory prayer is basically praying for others, it is praying for God's will to be done in the lives of other people.

Intercessory prayers characterized the prayer life of Jesus.

In Isaiah 53:12 the Bible says, He Himself bore the sins of many and, interceded for the transgressors."
Luke 22:23 Jesus tells Peter, "I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail;"

Luke 23:34 on the cross, Jesus was praying for others when He said, "Father forgive them for they do not know what they are doing."
John 14:15 Jesus interceded for us, asking the Father to send the Holy Spirit

John 17:19 He prayed for us, the church, in His High Priestly prayer. Listen to the intercessory nature of this prayer, "I ask on their behalf; I do not ask on behalf of the world, but of those whom Thou has given Me . . . "
Romans 8:34 tells us that Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father, making intercession for us.
And Hebrews 7:25 says, "Hence, also, He is able to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them."

Jesus prayed intercessory prayers, He was ever praying for others.

when you pray for others, when you pray for God's work to be done, for His will to be accomplished, He will begin to use you and grow you in ways that will astonish those around you. Sometimes I think we do not become what God wants us to become, because we are too focused on ourselves and not on others. It is when we pray for others that we will become more like Jesus, and as we become more like Jesus God will grow us more, show us more, and use us more.
We must pray for others.

LET US PRAY
May the person that will bless you be free from his bondage and locate you in Jesus Name

Pray with thankfulness

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Pray with thankfulness

Paul never fails to mention it.
Ephesians 5:20 tells us that thanksgiving is the natural result of being filled with and walking under the influence of the Holy Spirit.
Philippians 4:6 tells us to be anxious for nothing but in everything we should pray, giving thanks as we make our petitions known to God.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 tells us that giving thanks at all times is God's will for us in Christ Jesus.
Colossians 3:17 says that as believers everything we say or do should be done in the name of the Lord Jesus as we give thanks to Him.
1 Timothy 4:4 - says that food and marriage are good things given to us by God and are to be received with thanksgiving and gratitude.
Expressing gratitude does several things:
It articulates dependence
It demonstrates relationship
It communicates gratitude - proper attitudes
It generates humility

That you are alive today is by God's grace and not your own making. All God required of you is to give thanks

LET US PRAY
In Jesus Name this week will be a week of your best testimony

Pray with passion

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Pray with passion

If you are persistent in something, it stands to reason that you are to be passionate about it. In fact, Paul says we should be vigilant or be watchful; it is the opposite of slothfulness. This describes passionate prayer.

Jesus was passionate about His prayer life, it was something He was always doing.
And every time we see Jesus praying He was praying with passion.

In Luke 3:1 at His Baptism - while He was praying the heaven was opened. Passionate prayer opens Heaven.

In Luke 6:12 before He called His disciples - He spent the whole night in prayer. Passionate prayer gives direction.

In Luke 9:29 at His transfiguration - And while He was praying, the appearance of His face became different, and His clothing became white and gleaming. Passionate prayer enables us to experience the glory of the Father.

In John 17 in His high priestly prayer - Passionate prayer impacts the lives of others.

In Matthew 26:39 in the Garden of Gethsemane - It is only through passionate prayer that we can pour out our hearts to God.

In Luke 23:24 as He hung on the cross - a life that is lived in passionate prayer will enable us to maintain that spirit, even in the most difficult of circumstances.
Jesus always prayed with passion, because He knew Who it was He was talking to and He knew that prayer to the Father is a powerful thing and not something to take lightly and glibly.

Prayer from the heart, that's what passionate prayer is, it is prayer from the heart not just from the head.
That is how He taught us to pray, not only through His example, but specifically through His teaching Look in Matthew 6:7, in the Sermon on the Mount as Jesus instructs on prayer. It is here that we find the Lord's prayer. But just before the Lord's prayer what does He say?
"When you pray, do not use meaningless repetition as the Gentiles do."

What has happened to the Lord's Prayer? People repeat it as if it were some kind of magic mantra that will bless them or move God to hear them. They are doing with it is exactly what He was instructing us not to do with it. The gentiles, when they prayed tried, through their religious repetitions, with their chants and their mantras to call forth or impress their Gods. That is not what you do when you are in a relationship.

James 5:16 says, "The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much."

LET US PRAY
Your cry in prayer will not go in vain unless it produces log lasting miracle for you in Jesus Name

Pray with persistence

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Pray with persistence

Colossians 4

Paul begins by saying, "Devote yourselves to prayer," (NASB) or "Continue earnestly in prayer," (NKJV). In the original language it says, "continue steadfastly in prayer." The word translated, "continue steadfastly," is one word in the original language. It can be translated, "persist in, adhere firmly to, or remain devoted to or to give unremitting care to." It caries with it the idea of dedication.
It is a very powerful word and in this verse is given as an imperative, or a command. In other words, persistence in prayer is not an option for the Christian it is an order from the Lord Himself.

Two of the most instructive parables Jesus ever told on prayer, one in Luke 18 and the other in Luke 11, both have to do with being persistent and not giving up in prayer.

Luke 18:1 says, "Now He was telling them a parable to show them that at all times they ought to pray and not to lose heart."

Luke 11:9 is where we find the promise that says, "ask and it shall be given to you; seek and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened to you."

Each of those verbs are in the present tense, active voice and could be translated, "keep on asking, keep on seeking, keep on knocking." Jesus does not want us to give up in prayer, He instructs us to be persistent.

Now there is a difference between a persistent prayer and a long prayer. A person who is persistent in prayer does not necessarily have to pray for a long time. Persistence means not giving up.

Some people give up easy, they quit because they say they don't feel like praying, the joy is gone, the feeling is gone. But we are not to live by our feelings but to live by the commandments of our Lord who tells us to pray without ceasing.

"It is a common temptation of Satan to make us give up the reading of the Word and prayer when our enjoyment is gone; as if it were of no use to read the scriptures when we do not enjoy them, and as if it were no use to pray when we have no spirit of prayer.
The truth is that, in order to enjoy the Word, we ought to continue to read it, and the way to obtain a spirit of prayer is to continue praying. The less we read the Word of God, the less we desire to read it, and the less we pray, the less we desire to pray."

LET US PRAY
Your prayer will not go in vain, there shall be wonderful turnaround supply for you in Jesus Name

Don't miss your Blessing (pt4)

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: DON'T MISS YOUR BLESSING (PT4)

Haggai 1:7-11

God’s blessings are often missed when people look to other means for protection, progress and persuasions.

Haggai gets a special word from God assuring the people that He would provide protection, progress and persuasions against their enemies as long as they sought first His kingdom and His righteousness. (Matt 6:33,34) The people started to worry that they needed to put aside the building of the temple to attend to other necessary things, but God cautioned them against getting side-tracked.

We need to listen to our spiritual authorities when the going gets tough and we start to veer off course. The Lord will give complementary leadership functions to show us that we are to look to a plurality of godly leaders and not necessarily to one individual. Haggai headed off the objections before they came into full bloom. Godly leaders have a way of pre-emptively avoiding conflicts before they get blown out of proportion.

People miss out on God’s blessings when they think that some work is too small.

No work of God is too small when it is done with His timing, His teaching and His treasures. Let us rely on the Lord’s power, people and priorities as evidence that we are walking in the presence of God.

May the mind of Christ our Savior live in us in everyway. By His love and power controlling, all that we do and say. And may His promise be sufficient for everything pertaining to life and godliness so that we do not start to rely on our own insights.
(2 Pet 1:3,4) (Prov 3:5,6)

It is enough to know, do and believe the will of God as we live and move and have our greatest blessings in allowing the life of Christ to flow out of us like a river of living water.

LET US PRAY
May the mercy of God connect you to your breakthrough before you get tired in Jesus Name.

Don't miss your Blessing (pt3)

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: DON'T MISS YOUR BLESSING (pt 3)

Haggai 1:7-11

God’s blessings are often missed when people think the size of the work is too great.

Haggai fired up the people to not wax and wane in their enthusiasm. He strongly promised God’s strength, provision and enablement as they trusted and obeyed His will. Haggai did not give complicated answers but simple solutions from above.
Often times it is much better to just give God’s wisdom than intellectually complicated answers to peoples’ problems. This will often come from our own communion with God’s Spirit. Just begin where you can and gradually the provisions, guidance and resources will be heaped upon you. As your days, your strength will be in measure. This the promise He has made.

God’s blessings are often missed when people lack patience.

The writer of Hebrews penned these words, "You have need of patience so that after you have done the will of God you might receive the promise." Haggai taught the people that in order to see the full blessings of God they needed to not immediately look for blessings, but wait upon the Lord and He would eventually come through. Keep on asking, seeking and knocking and the doors will be opened to you. (Matt 7:7) Persistence, importunity and faithfulness in prayer, devotion and obedience always yields God’s great blessings.

LET US PRAY
In Jesus Name, your days of waiting and denying are are over, it's your time for celebration and blessings.

Don't miss your Blessing (pt2)

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: DON'T MISS YOUR BLESSING (pt 2)

Haggai 1:7-11

God’s blessings are often missed when people wallow in their discouragements.

Haggai helped the people overcome their intertia with a strong authoritative word from the Lord. It often takes listening to a person of God who inspires us to act and break out of our ruts.

Haggai was a task oriented leader but God used him in a complementary fashion with Zerubbabel, a religious priestly authority. Haggai’s major influence came not through a political position but through God’s giftedness. He overcame excuses that were given about building the temple as there had been a delay for 16 years.

God’s blessings are often missed unless people gain supernatural perspective.

Haggai gave the people divine perspective on what was happening to them economically, politically and agriculturally. When people are able to see their circumstances from the eyes of God they are apt to reverse their course. People began to fear God more than anything else and started to obey Him.

"Blessed is the man who fears the Lord who greatly delights in His commands. He will not fear when the evil day comes because his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord. I have never seen the righteous go hungry or his seed begging for bread." (Psa 112) Learn to use God’s word to head off excuses, discouragements and detours that people may throw in your face.

Every evil power sitting on your blessing, I command fire of God to send them away and release your miracle to you in Jesus Name

Don't miss your Blessing

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: DON'T MISS YOUR BLESSING

Blessings are missed because people fail to remember God’s will, word and ways.

Haggai urged the people in Jerusalem that the work of God was neglected, overlooked and considered as a lower priority their own concerns. Haggai spoke, "This is what the Lord Almighty says: Consider how things are going for you!... You hoped for rich harvests, but they were poor. That is why the heavens have withheld the dew and the earth has withheld its crops. I have called for a drought to starve both you and your cattle and to ruin everything you have worked so hard to get." (Haggai 1:7-11)

God has the ability to withhold His blessings to the disobedient.

Fear the Lord you His saints for to those who fear Him there is no want. The young lions lack and suffer hunger, but they who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing. (Psa 37)

God’s blessings are missed because people procrastinate.

The people began building the Temple 23 days after they arrived back from being in exile. Too many people hear excellent sermons on TV, the radio and church but fail to respond due to a bad case of procrastination. Forgetting to act is a recipe for disaster in God’s plans. James wrote, "Be doers of the word and not merely hearers who deceive themselves." (James 1:22) When you hear a message from God be sure that you put it into action. Ask God what He wants you to do when you read His word and make plans to put it into practice immediately. 92% of the world is yet to make a decision about Christ as Savior and soon it will be too late. Many people have delayed too long and so have settle for mediocrity bereft of God’s blessings because they failed to act on God’s will when they were young.

LET US PRAY
May all your benefactor deliver all your blessing to you before the end of this week in Jesus name

Be Available for God to use

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: BE AVAILABLE FOR GOD TO USE

Blessings are missed because we fail to put God’s purpose, priorities and plans first. Haggai spoke to the people calling them back to God’s values. "Why are you living in luxurious houses while my house lies in ruins?" (Hag. 1:4)

Many people fail to realize they are living displeasing lives and so fail to repent of their sins of omission. Whatever is not done out of faith is sin. James writes, "If anyone knows the right thing to do but fails to do it for him it is sin." (James 4:7)

The next time you feel like God can’t use you, just remember...

Noah was a drunk.

Abraham was too old.

Isaac was a daydreamer.

Jacob was a liar.

Leah was ugly.

Joseph was abused.

Moses had a stuttering problem.

Gideon was afraid.

Sampson had long hair and was a womanizer.

Rahab was a prostitute.

Jeremiah and Timothy were too young.

David had an affair and was a murderer.

Elijah was suicidal.

Isaiah preached naked.

Jonah ran from God.

Naomi was a widow.

Job went bankrupt.

John the Baptist ate locusts.

Peter denied Christ.

The Disciples fell asleep while praying.

Martha worried about everything.

Mary Magdalene was, well you know.

The Samaritan woman was divorced, more than once.

Zaccheus was too small.

Paul was too religious.

Timothy had an ulcer...

Lazarus was dead!

And God isn’t finished with you yet. You are a vessel He will and can use, if you make yourself available as each of the above did.

In Jesus Name this week you will not miss your blessing

Hard sermon of love

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Hard Sermon of love

Roman's 12:9-16.

Love Must be Kind.

“Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them” (v. 14).

There are two parts to this that we must consider:

1. What happens to us.

2. How we respond.

We will be persecuted. We will be hated, mistreated, misunderstood, lied about, gossiped about, and there will be those who go beyond this to hurt us deeply, leaving scars that last for a lifetime. Sometimes the attacks come from those closest to us, sometimes from within our own family, often from our circle of very close friends, and sometimes from people we thought were our best friends. There is no escaping this reality, and to deny it is like denying the sun comes up in the east and sets in the west. Sooner or later people we loved and trusted will let us down, and some of them will turn on us. We can’t predict how or when it will happen or who it will be, but it will happen, and what will we do then?
How do you bless someone when you would rather curse them?

Here’s a simple way to do that. When faced with someone who has mistreated you, ask God to do for them what you want God to do for you. Seek the blessing for them that you want God to do for you. Think of it this way: The greater the hurt, the greater the potential blessing that will come when we bless those who curse us.
Remember that your enemy is a gift from God to you. Though you don’t know it and often can’t see it, the person who has hurt you so deeply is a gift from God to you. To say that is not to excuse evil or to condone mistreatment. It is to say exactly what Joseph meant when he said to his brothers, “You meant evil against me, but God meant it for good” (Genesis 50:20).

Our enemies humble us, they keep us on our knees, they reveal our weakness, and they expose our total need for God. Just as David needed King Saul to pursue him, to persecute him and repeatedly attempt to kill him, we need the enemies God sends to us. If we didn’t need them, he wouldn’t send them.

Therefore, we thank God who knows best, and we love our enemies the best way we can. Often God raises up an enemy to see if we really want to be like Jesus. He will keep our enemies alive and well as long as we need them.

In Jesus Name, may God fight for you and give you victory in every area.

Christian love

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: CHRISTIAN LOVE

Roman's 12:9-16

Love Must be Sincere.

“Let love be Genuine” (v. 9a).

The word “genuine” literally means “without hypocrisy.” It originally referred to an actor who played a certain role on stage. It came to mean anyone who acts contrary to his own true feelings. It particularly applies to those who put forth the appearance of virtue that they do not actually possess. Eugene Peterson (The Message) offers this paraphrase: “Love from the center of who you are; don’t fake it.”

Love Must be Discerning.

“Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good” (v. 9b).

Love hates evil! Think about that for a second.
Emotion that causes us to lose our sense of right and wrong, but that’s far from true Christian love. We cannot love evil and love God at the same time any more than we can love money and love God at the same time.

Sometimes we say, “Love is blind.” God says, “No, love needs clear vision.” Our love needs discernment or else we will end up loving things we ought not to love—and entering into relationships that are not good for us. While love is supreme, it is never enough.
Not every relationship is a good relationship.

Not every choice is a good choice.

Not every friendship is good for us.

Not every job is a wise career move.

Not every roommate is a healthy choice.

Not every purchase is a wise use of our money.

There are really two parts to making wise choices:

First, you must know what is right. This is crucial because we live in a world where many people evidently have lost all sense of right and wrong. Everything appears to them as shades of gray.

Second, you must have the courage to choose what you know to be right.
the most important thing in life is to discover what you believe to be true, and then to stand up for those beliefs no matter what.
“If you do what you know is right, it doesn’t matter what people think True discernment gives you vision to see what is right and then the courage to choose to do it.

Please take Paul’s words to heart!

Never get over being shocked by evil.
Glue yourself to what is good.

LET US PRAY
In Jesus Name every evil mark of hatred in your life that is causing good thing to be far from you is destroy by fire.

Unity

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: UNITY

psalm 133

What does the word Unity mean?

it means oneness, Perfect harmony, All in one agreement,

Ps 133...-3

Eph 4:3...Endeavoring to keep the unity of the spirit in the bond of Peace.

Eph 4:13. Till we all come in the unity of the Faithand of the knowledge of the son of God unto a prefect man unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.

1 cor.1:10.... Now I beseech you brethren by the name of our lord Jesus Christ that we all speak the same thing and that there be no division among you but you be perfectly join together in the same mind and in the same judgement.

2 cor.13:11...Finally brethren farewell be prefect, be of good confort be of one mind live in peaceand the God of love and peace shall be with you.

1 peter. 3:8.... Finally be ya all of one mind having compassion one of another love as brethren be pitiful and be courteous.

Amos 3:5... How can two walk together unless they agree?

IT SEEMS THAT GOD PLACES THE HIGHEST VALUE ON THIS THING CALLED UNITY.

There is complete unity in the Godhead, The Father, the son, and the holy ghost.

When the people of God come together in unity it’s a beautiful and powerful thing.

Let’s consider some facts

1 consider the power in a team of horses pulling a plow.

2 consider the power in a Train being pulled by 3 engines

3 consider the power of Prayer when 2 or more agree.

4 consider the power that’s in love when Family member’s come together and help each other in time of need or destruction.

5 consider the power that’s in strength to a family who’s Focus is on God.

6 consider the power that’s in soul winning when all is focus on it.

When we unite, we can achieve what is known to be impossible. Let it start from you and me let us go back to church, to our family to our work etc and unite as one.

LET US PRAY
Every power of darkness that is causing disunity in your affairs is destroy by fire in Jesus Name,
