Chibok :- American Marines locate abducted girls in Sambisa forest

There were indications yesterday that the 230 female students abducted by Boko Haram terrorists from the Government Girls’ Secondary School, GGSS, Chibok, Borno State, have been sited at the Sambisa Forest in Borno State, by the Special Forces of the United States Marines.

The girls who were abducted on April 14, were part of the 250 students boarded at the school for the West African School Certificate, WASC/ Senior Secondary School Certificate, SSSC, examinations, triggering world-wide condemnations.

This was even as more US military officials arrived Nigeria yesterday to join local officials in the search for nearly 300 school girls taken captives by the Islamist extremist group, Boko Haram, the US Secretary of State John Kerry, and the defence department, Pentagon, said.

The UK team had earlier arrived in Abuja to support Nigerian government in its response to the abduction of over 200 school girls.

The arrival of the foreign troops is coming on the heels of the appeal yesterday by the former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar for Nigerians to unite and fight the insurgents to achieve success.
According to Kerry, “Our inter-agency team is hitting the ground in Nigeria now and they are going to be working with President Goodluck Jonathan’s government to do everything that we possibly can to return these girls.”

The CNN also quoted the U.S. Navy Rear Admiral, John Kirby, who serves as Pentagon press secretary, as saying that the small team of seven would join advisers supporting local efforts to find the girls abducted over three weeks ago.

Kerry said the US team, working with the Nigerian government, would do everything possible to free the girls and everything possible to stop the atrocities of Boko Haram.

“We are also going to do everything possible to counter the menace of Boko Haram. The entire world should not only be condemning this outrage but should be doing everything possible to help Nigeria in the days ahead,” he added.

But there are no plans to send American combat troops into Nigeria, Mr. Kirby said.

The abduction of the school girls on April 14 in a remote community in Borno State, one of the most shocking terrorist acts by Boko Haram yet, has drawn widespread anger around the world with calls for a swift action.

President Goodluck Jonathan said Thursday that the kidnapping will be “the beginning of end” of Boko Haram.

US President Obama has said he hopes the abduction by Boko Haram will galvanize the international community to act against the brutal group that has directed much of its cruelty on civilians and the innocent.

This week, more than 100 people were killed in a busy market by militants suspected to be from the group. The attack occurred in Gamboru Ngala, Borno State, near the Nigerian border with Cameroun.

Besides the United States, Britain, France and China have also offered to help rescue the stolen girls.Obama said the team sent to Nigeria comprised personnel from military, law enforcement and other agencies.

France said it will station 3,000 troops in Nigeria’s neighbouring countries to help fight militants in the Sahel region.
British satellites and advanced tracking capabilities also will be used, and China has promised to provide any intelligence gathered by its satellite network.

Meanwhile in a statement yesterday, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office spokesperson said, “a team of UK experts who will advise and support the Nigerian authorities in its response to the abduction of over 200 school girls touched down in Abuja, Nigeria this morning”.

The team is drawn from across government, including DfID, FCO and the MoD, and will work with the Nigerian authorities leading on the abductions and terrorism in Nigeria. The team will be considering not just the recent incidents but also longer-term counter-terrorism solutions to prevent such attacks in the future and defeat Boko Haram.

The team will be working closely with their US counterparts and others to coordinate efforts.

Us Ma rines find abducted girls, arrest Boko Haram leader
However, military sources said that apart from abducting the girls, the insurgents also carted away food items and vehicles as well as killing undisclosed number of people in Chibok on the fateful night.

The sources told Saturday Vanguard in Abuja that members of the United States Marines who are already in Maiduguri following the promise by President Barak Obama to assist Nigeria in rescuing the abducted girls, located the girls inside the forest, using some Satellite equipment which combed the forest, located an assembly of the young girls and sent the images back to the Marines on ground in Maiduguri.

Aside locating the whereabouts of the girls in the dense forest, it was also, further gathered that one of the leaders of terrorist group who participated in the abduction of the girls was arrested by a combined team of the US Marines and Nigerian forces.
Sources said that the Boko Haram leader was arrested, through an advanced interceptor equipment which was used to track the terrorist while exchanging information with his colleagues in Sambisa Forest about the movements of American and Nigerian soldiers in Maiduguri.

His phone was subsequently traced to a location in Maiduguri where he was arrested and handed over to the Nigerian military.
The location of the girls in the forest is contrary to widespread reports that the girls had been distributed and ferried to the Nigerian border towns in Chad, Cameroon and Niger Republic.

Senator Ahmed Zanna, representing Borno Central District in whose Maiduguri home, an alleged Boko Haram top commander was once arrested told the Senate last week that he gave the Military an up-to-date information on how the girls could be rescued, but lamented that his information was largely ignored.

He spoke against the backdrop of the claim by the Boko Haram leader, Sheik Abubakar Shekau, last week that the girls were booties of war, who would be sold into slavery.

Atiku appeals for unity to defeat Boko Haram

However, the arrival of the foreign military officials is coming on the heels of the appeal yesterday by the former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar on Nigerians to unite and fight the insurgents.
Atiku said on his blog, “While I have had and continue to have major policy differences with the government in Abuja and its leadership, as a nation we must remain united.

”We have come to a turning point in our war against terrorism in Nigeria. It is a critical moment for us; the war will not be won without us winning this battle. In short, if one is not part of the solution, they become part of the problem.

”And at a moment like this, we can no longer afford anything but a united commitment to stamping out a great evil that threatens the very existence of the only place we call home.

”On social media, I have been amazed by the outpouring of solidarity from within and outside Nigeria. While on the one hand it is sad to see Nigeria in the news for its inability to protect its most vulnerable citizens, it is also clear that in the age of social media no concerns or problems are local.

”It is in light of this that I welcome the offer of military support from the United States, United Kingdom, France and others, and the acceptance by the Nigerian government. While I believe that we waited too long to get to this point of admitting our need for external help, I will also insist that it’s better late than never.

”We must make it clear that under no circumstances should any person, group of persons, or organization ever be permitted to prey on the children of Nigeria, or any other country. We must make it easy for everyone who has information about this crime against humanity to contact the authorities at once.

”We must make it easy for the innocent population of the affected areas to see the Nigerian military and authorities as friends, not enemies. We must make it easy for our soldiers to be loyal and committed to this great and difficult task ahead of them.

”We must make it easy for the world to see Nigeria as a country that cares for all its citizens, regardless of their age, gender, religion, ethnic group or economic class. We must remember the people most affected, trapped on the frontlines of the battle.
They need support, relief and rehabilitation. ”We must remember they will need help when they are returned home to their families and their loved ones. And we must make it difficult for anyone to play politics with this crisis.

’’Nothing, absolutely nothing, is worth the bloodshed and the destruction we have come to associate with this campaign of terror. Not party affiliations, not the 2015 elections. We are in a race against time. For every day we delay our response, or allow ourselves to be caught up in needless bickering, we hand victory over to the forces of darkness and despair, like Boko Haram.”

No Boko Haram activities in Lagos —Police

In a related development, the Lagos State Police Command said yesterday that the rumour about activities of Boko Haram members in some parts of the state was false.

The Public Relations Officer, PRO, of the state Police Command, DSP Ngozi Braide, made this known at a news conference yesterday, at Premier College Group of Schools, Palm Avenue, Mushin, where the sect members allegedly invaded.
“It is not true that there is any act of terrorism anywhere in Lagos State. It is a lie that the terrorists invaded Premier College to abduct students.

“Somebody just sat down somewhere and cooked up the lies to cause panic in the state.

“Premier College and other schools in the state are safe and secure; let the public discountenance the rumour,“ she said.
The Executive Director of the college, Mr Abraham Martins, spoke in the same vein, describing the rumour as ”false and baseless.”
There are indications that with the confirmation that the girls are still within Nigerian territory, contrary to widespread reports that the girls have been distributed and ferried out, the original plan to storm Sambisa forest which was put on hold, would now be activated. It is however not clear if and when the the rescue operation would begin.

Nigerian Girl Guides Association expresses worry
Meanwhile, the Nigerian Girl Guides Association,NGGA, has joined millions of Nigerians to express worry over the continued abduction of 234 female students and called on the Federal Government to ensure that the girls are rescued unhurt to re-unite with their families.

The association, in a statement signed by its Chief Commissioner, Dame (Dr) Christie Toby also challenged Nigerians to be security conscious and assist law enforcement agencies in fighting the enemies of the nation.

“The NGGA joins all well-meaning people all over the world to express shock over the abduction of 234 innocent school girls in Borno State.

“We are sad that up till this moment, these girls are still missing. The NGGA, being a female organisation, is specially concerned, and condemns such a heinous act.

“We declare our support for these girls and their families and pray God to strengthen them in these trying times. We appreciate the fact that government is fighting terrorism in Nigeria, but we are appealing to President Jonathan to ensure that these girls are returned safely to their families so that they can continue with their education.

“We also appeal to all security agencies and people of goodwill to support President Jonathan as they work to bring back our dear girls,” the statement added.

US Marines carry out first arrests of Two Boko Haram Members in Benue State

US Marines carry out first arrests of Two Boko Haram Members in Benue State

US Marines currently in Nigeria to help the government combat Boko Haram terrorists have made their first arrests taking two male suspects into custody after they were found in possession of arms and ammunition during a targeted search. Over the last week, US Marines have arrived in Nigeria to help with the fight against terrorism after Boko Haram took their war of terror to another level by abducting 234 pupils from Government Girls Secondary School Chibok in Borno State.

Acknowledging that the matter was getting beyond its control, the Nigerian government swallowed its pride and accepted outside help. With the abduction coming at a time when Nigeria is hosting World Economic Forum on Africa and inbetween two horrific bomb blasts in Abuja, there has been a lot of international offer of support. France, the UK, the US and China have all offered differing degrees of support in the form of intelligence, training and military assistance.

Since Wednesday, US troops have arrived in Nigeria where they are providing security for the WEF summit on Africa. It is expected that the Marines will also join Nigerian soldiers in pursuing Boko Haram into the Sambisa Forest in Borno State where they are believed to have spirited the kidnapped girls to. According to Major General Chris Olukolade, Nigeria’s director of defence information, two suspected Boko Haram members were arrested at Anyibe in Logo Local Government Area of Benue State.

He added that the duo, made up of a teenager and an elderly man, were arrested during a cordon-and-search operation and found to be in possession of firearms. Weapons found in their possession included two rifles, three locally fabricated pistols and 61 rounds of special ammunition. Apparently, the arms were found in the possession of the teenager he is currently undergoing interrogation in custody.

US marines are highly specialised soldiers who have been deployed effectively in areas affected by serious conflict and terrorism such as Afghanistan and Iraq. It is not yet clear how many Marines will be deployed to Nigeria as part of the current operation or if they will establish a base in Borno State.

KEEP PRAYING

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: KEEP PRAYING

We often ask when things sims hard, Why Should I Keep Praying?

So why should you keep praying for something you want? “Jesus told His disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up,” which you can read about in Luke 18.

Luke 18:1-8 KJV
And he spake a parable unto them to this end , that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; [2] Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: [3] And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. [4] And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; [5] Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. [6] And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. [7] And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? [8] I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

God might be using this time of waiting to build up your faith and hope in Him. When you are praying and waiting for God to act, remember that God can use whatever you are going through to “strengthen your confident hope of Salvation” (Romans 5:4).

LET US PRAY
TODAY IN JESUS NAME YOU WILL GET ANSWER TO ALL YOUR PRAYER REQUEST IN JESUS NAME

Trust and Hope

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Trust and Hope

God has promised His people that “He will neither fail you nor abandon you” (Deuteronomy 31:6).
It might seem like He is ignoring you, that He does not hear your prayers, or that He does not care. But He will not ignore you, He can always hear you, and He loves you so much that He gave Himself through Jesus Christ.

The Apostle Paul taught, “if we [hope for something], we must wait patiently and confidently” (Romans 8:25).

While you wait for God to answer your prayer, you can ask Him for patience

LET US PRAY
FATHER LORD IN JESUA NAME, PLEASE GIVE EVERYONE OF US A GRACE TO HOPE AND TRUST YOU DEEPLY EVEN WHEN LIFE SIMS DIFFICULT IN JESUS NAME. AMEN

Graphic pics: Suspected female ritualist set ablaze by a mob in Abule Egba

Can the Lagos State government please make jungle justice a crime punishable by many years in prison? This can't continue happening. We as citizens can't keep taking the laws into our hands. Other wise innocent people will suffer too. The pics from this scene is so gory, I don't know if I should share it.

The woman pictured above was accused of attempting to kidnap three primary school pupils in the Ekoro area of Abule-Egba, Lagos yesterday May 6th. Eye-witnesses claim the woman stopped the kids, who were aged 7-10 years as they were going to school, and asked to take them to school.

Then a female hawker in the area, suspecting the woman was up to no good, alerted others in the area who then surrounded the woman and started asking her questions. They say the woman claimed they were her children but couldn't give their names and the direction she was taking them wasn't where their school was...plus the children said they didn't know her and before anyone could stop it, they descended on the woman. Beating her to a stupor and then setting her ablaze.

See the gory pics from the scene after the cut...will take it down in a bit...

Boko Haram Leader Abubakar Shekau Declares: "We Will Kill All Christians"

The leader of the violent Islamic insurgent sect, Boko Haram, Sheik Abubakar Shekau, has come out to declare that the war he is waging in Nigeria is actually a war against Christians and Christianity in the country.

Despite what many Moslem religious leaders have been making Nigerians to believe that the insurgents are not fighting for Islam, Shekau has declared that what he is actually fighting for is to make Nigeria an Islamic country and that he and his group will kill all non Moslems.

Shortly after he released a video claiming responsibility for the abduction of the female students of the Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State, Shekau released another video, declaring an outright war against Christians in the country.

He also boasted of being in league with the likes of Afghanistan, Mali, Yemen and Pakistan, whose life ambition is to make the whole world an Islamic country.

This is what Shekau said in the video he released:

«This is a war against Christians and democracy and their constitution; we have not started, we will be in Abuja, and in every state in Nigeria.

«This war is against Christians, I mean Christians, generally the infidels. Allah says we should finish them when we get them.

«I have no time with your trillion. I am working for Allah and will die for it. No one can stop me. You killed Mohammed Yusuf. Are you not saying he is even better than Shekau?

«Even if you kill me, other fighters will rise better than me; I am nothing and worthless before Allah who I am working for. You are sitting with Christians and saying we are one, saying there is no difference. We are not one with infidels.

«We are friends with Afghanistan, Mali, Yemen and Pakistan, and we are going to wipe out the Christians

«Are Christians the people we should play with? It is either you are with us or you are with them, and when we see you, we will harvest your neck with knife.

Who will save Nigerians from these blood suckers?

God Might Say “No”

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: God Might Say “No”

In Matthew 19:26, Jesus says "With God all things are possible." Even though God can do anything, it doesn’t mean he will. God has a special plan for each of us. What you ask of God may seem like a humble request that will honor him, but maybe it isn’t in His plan for your life. You might be a faithful follower of Christ and you’re praying for God to take away something that gives you pain and suffering. God knows if the trial you are going through will result in an amazing testimony. That testimony might cause many others to believe in Christ. Remember, God may have a purpose for your pain. God can see the bigger picture and, as a result, God may say no to your prayer.

LET US PRAY
FATHER IN JESUS NAME, LET ALL YOUR DESIRE FOR MY LIFE COME TO REALITY TO YOUR GLORY AND MY BLESSING IN JESUS NAME
AMEN

Missing School Girls: 2 Die, Others Critically Ill

A man who claimed to be an intermediary of the dreaded Boko Haram sect has alleged that two of the girls who were abducted from Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State in a night raid by the insurgents have died from snakebite.

20 of the abducted girls are also said to be critically ill.

The said intermediary also claimed that those who were Christians among the missing girls had been forced to convert to Islam.

This is coming not long after the leader of the sect, Abubakar Shekau released a video claiming responsibility for the abduction of the girls, adding that it was Allah who sent him to do so.

He however did not reveal the number of girls nor where they were being held hostage.

Meanwhile in a televised media chat held in Abuja on Sunday, President Goodluck Jonathan said the authorities didn't know the location of the school girls, adding that the Federal government was not negotiating with the insurgents to secure the release of the abducted schoolgirls as they cannot negotiate with faceless people.

Describing the situation as a trying and painful time for the nation, he pleaded for the cooperation of parents, guardians and local communities in the rescue efforts, promising to get the girls out from wherever they are being held hostage.

It is still not clear the number of girls that were kidnapped as the number keeps changing. At first it was reported that the number of girls abducted were 234, later security operatives said 276 were kidnapped.

Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) had over the weekend published the list of 178 abducted students, out of them 163 Christian girls and only 15 Muslim girls.

Following the girls abduction and failure to secure their release, there has been protests all over the nation and outside the country with people calling for the release of the girls.

Does God Really Hear My Prayers?

TOPIC: Does God Really Hear My Prayers?

Scripture: “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7

God is Trustworthy

Does it sometimes feel like your prayers are not making it past the ceiling? How can we be sure God is listening? God answers prayer in many ways, and this series will discuss some of those ways.

God Might Say “Wait”

When we want something, we want it now! But God does not always work that way; in fact, He instructs His people, “Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for Him to act” (Psalm 37:7). We do not know what God is doing “behind the scenes,” but you can trust that He is working things out for His purpose and our good. Remember, “Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord” (Psalm 40:4)

LET US PRAY
THIS WEEK GOD WILL GIVE YOU A WONDERFUL ANSWER TO ALL YOUR LONG AWAITED PRAYER IN JESUS NAME

YOU ARE NEEDED SERIOUSLY

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: YOU ARE NEEDED SERIOUSLY

Scripture: "And may the Lord make your love for one another and for all people grow and overflow, just as our love for you overflows." (1 Thessalonians 3:12)

What are you good at? In what ways are you naturally talented? Do you know that God gave you those gifts and abilities for a reason? There are very few great projects that one person can do alone. You cannot build and maintain a large building by yourself; nor can one Christian build and maintain the Church. God has given His people gifts that work together; therefore, He can let His Church achieve much when we work together, "submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ” What are you good at? In what ways are you naturally talented? Do you know that God gave you those gifts and abilities for a reason? There are very few great projects that just one person can do alone. You can’t build and maintain a large building by yourself. And, one Christian alone can’t build and grow the Christian community. God has given His people gifts that work together; that way, He can let His Church (the Christian community) achieve great things when we work together, “submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ". (Ephesians 5:21).

The Apostle Paul put it this way: “Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body[, the Church]. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other” (Romans 12:4-5). God has given us to one another, and He has also given the Church important duties. St. Paul continues, “If God [gave] you the ability to prophesy, speak out with faith. If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God [gave] you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly” (Romans 12:6-8)

Complementary Callings

One important duty is to “preach the Good News to everyone” (Mark 16:15). As with building and maintaining the Church from the inside, God has given us complementary callings for building the Church from the outside – by sharing His Gospel. Again in Romans, St. Paul wrote, “How can [seekers] believe in Him if they have never heard about Him? And how can they hear about Him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent?” (Romans 10:14-15). Within those questions, I see several Christian “job openings.” Christians are needed to preach the Good News about Jesus, and others are needed to send the preachers. The preachers and the senders will need support – financial, physical, and spiritual. And we can support them by using the gifts God has given us: teaching, giving, serving, praying, etc. We have so many opportunities to serve God, each other, and those who still need Jesus!

LET US PRAY
LORD JESUS HELP ME TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT AND WHAT YOU ASSIGN ME FAITHFULLY IN JESUS NAME

Popular Pastor Caught With Gun During Police Stop and Search

The Commandant-general of Mission for African Chaplaincy, a Christian organisation in Lokoja, Kogi State, Sam Keddy Balogun, has been arrested by the police for illegally possessing a firearm.

The pastor was arrested along with his bodyguard with a Toyota Hilux van painted in military colour, which registration number was concealed. The police said it was being used to hoodwink unsuspecting members of the public into believing that the organisation is a paramilitary organisation recognised by law.
Parading both men before journalist at the police headquarters in Lokoja, the Kogi State police commissioner, Seidu Madawaki said his men also arrested one Saliu Mohammed who claims to be Pastor Balogun’s bodyguard with a short gun.
The commissioner said Saliu confessed that the pistol was given to him by his boss who he said, was the commandant general of the Mission for African Chaplaincy.
He said a search was conducted on the house and two cartridges were recovered with one other already expended...
It was gathered that at public functions in the state, members of the organisation kit up like military personnel and usurp the functions of security agencies and harass innocent citizens with their military camouflage.

CP Madawaki said when police detectives led the suspect to his boss’ house; the boss admitted that he was the one who gave the gun to Mohammed to be protecting him with. Other items recovered in his house were detectives’ gadgets and some paramilitary uniforms.

The commissioner said the painting of their vehicle in military colour and the concealing of the number plate portray an intent for criminality, adding that the activities of the chaplaincy had constituted a threat to the state as thousands of people including the jobless and civil servants had been brainwashed to join the organisation as a paramilitary organisation in the country.

In his confession, Pastor Balogun said he acquired the guns illegally and begged with the police to forgive him. He claims he and his organisation has been organising series of prayer sessions for the police, the military and other security agencies. Funny man!

TOPIC: HOW CAN I BE SAVE ?

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: HOW CAN I BE SAVE ?

God Provided A Plan Of Salvation -
Now, we come to the crucial question. If God promised to save man, if He has the power to save him and if He has provided the means to save him,
how does one go about being saved? The answer is found in the verses we read this morning -
John 3:16-17 KJV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. [17] For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

The Bible tells us in no uncertain terms exactly what a person must do to be saved from their sins.
The answer is to believe on Him! This is explained to us in great detail in Romans 10:9-10 KJV
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. [10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

These verses tell us that to be saved, we must acknowledge the claims of Christ and that we must transfer our faith from works, religions, self-effort, self-righteousness, whatever it may that we are trusting in and trust Jesus and Him alone for our soul's salvation.

Salvation is simple -
Acts 16:31 KJV
And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
Romans 10:13 KJV
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
but man wants to complicate the issue of salvation. The best thing we can do is to simply take God at His Word and accept salvation as what it is: The gift of God, Romans 6:23 KJV
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Maybe there is someone here this morning and you have been plagued with doubts about salvation. Maybe there are those who know that they are not saved. But, today, the Holy Spirit has spoken to your heart and you are ready to come to the Lord. God is calling and you know what you need. You may be asking. "Can God really save my soul?" I invite you to find out for yourselves that God can! You know your heart and all I ask you to do today is to listen to the call of the Spirit of God in your soul. If you need something from the Lord this morning, I challenge you to come get it right now. Will you mind the Lord today?

LET US PRAY
LORD JESUS, PLEASE FORGIVE MY SINS, I ACCEPT YOU AS MY SAVIOUR, HELP ME TO BE MORE CLOSER TO YOU AND TO RUN THE RACE OF THE KINGDOM DAILY IN ALL FAITHFULNESS IN JESUS NAME

Text: Genesis 17:1-5 KJV
And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. [2] And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly. [3] And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying, [4] As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. [5] Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.

Humanly speaking we might be thinking that God has actually forgotten this man, NO
He is clear here that even at his age God still remember and repeats it for him all the covenant

God has not forgotten you too

GOD'S PROVISION TO SAVE

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

. . . CONTINUE FROM YESTERDAY

A. He Provided A Precious Substitute - When man sinned in the garden, man fell under the curse of God. For a man to be redeemed, a man had to die. However, not just any man would do. The One who died would have to be a perfect man. One without sin and without any wickedness. God, knowing our need and our inability to do anything about it ourselves, provided a perfect substitute. He gave us none other than His own darling Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. In fact, the gift of God in Christ proves God's love for you and me - John 3:16; Rom. 5:6-8.

You may not understand it this morning, but when Jesus dies on the cross, He was literally taking your place. He was dying for you - Isa. 53:6; Matt. 20:28; John 1:29; 1 Tim. 2:6; Heb. 2:9; 1 John 2:1-2.)

When Jesus was on the cross, God transferred your sins to Jesus and He dies to pay your price on that cross - 2 Cor. 5:21.)

B. He Provided A Perfect Sacrifice - When Jesus was on that cross, His death and sacrifice were sufficient to provide for the saving needs of the entire world. He gave Himself, once for all, that we might be able to be free from the grip of Sin and that we might be able to experience God's perfect salvation, which is available on through the Lord Jesus Christ! wickedness. God, knowing our need and our inability to do anything about it ourselves, provided a perfect substitute. He gave us none other than His own darling Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. In fact, the gift of God in Christ proves God's love for you and me - John 3:16; Rom. 5:6-8.

And if you are yet to still be save by the mercy of Jesus Christ the only son of God then don't wait to do it now. Ask him to come into your life and be your lord and saviour today

GOD'S POWER TO SAVE

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL
. . . CONTINUE FROM YESTERDAY

TOPIC: GOD'S POWER TO SAVE

(Now that we know that the Lord has promised to ave those who receive His plan of salvation, we need to know that He can do what He says He will do. Just how does God go about bringing men unto Himself? And, when a sinner does go to God for salvation, how does he or she know that God can do what He has promised? Perhaps spending a few minutes looking at God's Power To Save will clear up any areas of confusion.)

A. He Has The Power To Call The Sinner - No one can be saved when they feel like it! The Bible says that the sinner apart from God is dead, Eph. 2:1. That is, they possess no spiritual life and are unable to approach God on their own, Rom. 3:11. The only way the sinner can be saved is for him to be called by God - John 6:44; John 6:65. Salvation is a process that always originates with God in Heaven! It never begins with man! (Ill. Don't worry, I believe that God gives every man an opportunity - John 1:9)

Never presume upon God! When He calls is the time for you to come to Him - 2 Cor. 6:2. God is never obligated to call again. Therefore don't bank on time - Pro. 27:1; James 4:14. By the way, don't run from the repeated calls of God - Pro. 29:1.)

B. He Has The Power To Convert The Sinner - When a sinner places his or her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation, God does a work of grace so powerful in their life that it cannot be explained in human terms. Things of such a profound spiritual nature take place that it boggles the mind. Just a few to help you understand what I am saying are:

1. All Sin Is Immediately And Completely Forgiven - Psa. 103:12; Isa. 38:17; Isa. 43:25; Jer. 50:20; Micah 7:19; 1 John 1:7.

2. The Sinner Becomes A Child Of God - 1 John 3:1-2

3. The Sinner Is Delivered From Sin

a.) The Power Of Sin - Rom. 6:14

b.) The Penalty Of Sin - Rom. 5:9; Rom. 8:1; John 5:24 (saved!)

c.) The Presence Of Sin - Rev. 21:27

4. The Sinner Becomes A Joint Heir With Christ - Rom. 8:17

5. The Sinner Inherits A Heavenly Home - John 14:1-3; 1 Cor. 2:9; Rev. 21:4.

6. The Sinner Becomes A Saint - (Ill. 1 Cor. 1:2 - Even the carnal Corinthians were called "saints.") When Jesus saves you, He changes you forever - 2 Cor. 5:17.

Some He has changed by His power: Saul - Acts 9; Nicodemus - John 3, 7, 19; Bartimaeus - Mark 10; Zacchaeus - Luke 10, The Dying Thief - Luke 23; etc.)

It may not prove anything to you, but I know what He has done for me, and that is all the proof I need.)

There are many more references and blessings that could be named, but these are sufficient to prove that when God saves the sinner, He has the power to change them forever.)

. . .CONTINUE TOMORROW

LET US PRAY
FATHER IN JESUS NAME, LORD LET YOUR SAVING POWER DELIVER ME FROM THE BONDAGE OF SIN AND THE DEVIL IN JESUS NAME

GOOD MORNING FRIENDS

GOD'S PROMISE TO SAVE

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

. . .CONTINUE FROM YESTERDAY MEAL

A. It Is An Old Promise - In the beginning, when God made man in His image and man decided to sin against the Lord, God made a promise to Eve in the Garden of Eden, Gen. 3:15. God's promise to provide a means of salvation is even older than that. Rev. 13:8 tells us that Jesus is "the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world." Peter takes it even farther, 1 Peter 1:20 says, "who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world." These verses tell us that even before there was a sinner to save, before there was even a sin to cleanse, the Lord had already formulated a plan to redeem sinners. His is a plan older than man, older sin, older than Satan and older than Hell. God's promise to save is an old promise that shall never fail!

(Even in the Old Testament, there are glorious glimpses of the promise of God to save the sinner, Isa. 45:22; Isa. 43:11. God has always been and will always be a saving God. His promise to save is as old as God Himself, yet it is as new as the day when you call on Him in believing faith.

B. It Is An Ongoing Promise - While God's promise is older than the world and even older than mankind, it still has all the power of the Almighty behind it. The promise is a valid today as it has ever been. Note: John 5:24; John 3:16; Acts 16:31. This promise has never and will never lose its great power. God is a saving God and nothing will ever change that truth!

C. It Is An Open Promise - God's promise of salvation is not limited to a selected few, but it is a promise that is offered to all men. There are several passages that bear out this truth. Rev. 22:17; John 6:37; Rom. 10:13. John 6:47, just to name a few. It is clear from these verses that anyone who senses the need for salvation can be saved by the grace of God, John 7:37. The only requirement for participating in God's plan of salvation is that it is for sinners only! If you are good you cannot be saved. If you are righteous, you cannot be saved. Jesus came for the lost and for them alone - Mark. 2:17.

( The fact is, we are all sinners, Rom. 3:23; Gal. 3:22. Therefore, we all qualify under the terms of salvation. The problem is, not everyone is willing to admit his or her guilt. Yet, the Bible tells us that we are in sad shape apart from God, Isa. 53:6. In fact, it tells us that the best we can produce out of our own self-effort is a pile of putrid, filthy rags in the sight of Almighty God, Isa. 64:6. In simple terms, we need what God has to offer us in His plan of salvation.)
. . .I WILL CONTINUE TOMORROW FROM HERE

LET US PRAY
FATHER IN JESUS NAME, I ACCEPT YOU INTO MY LIFE AS MY LORD AND SAVIOUR, PLEASE HELP ME TO KNOW YOU AND TO WORK IN YOUR WAYS AS IT PLEASES YOU
AMEN

CAN GOD REALLY SAVE YOUR SOUL

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: CAN GOD REALLY SAVE YOUR SOUL?

TEXT John 3:16-17 KJV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. [17] For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

In this passage detailing the conversation between the Lord Jesus and Nicodemus, the Lord says, very plainly, that He came into the world to provide salvation for all men. The matter of salvation is of vital importance to every person, and throughout the entire world, for that matter. You see, what you do about your salvation will determine where you spend your eternity.

Before we move deeper into this message, I want to offer up a definition. One word that I want to define today is the word Jesus used in verse 17. Jesus tells us that He did not come into the world to condemn the world, but that the world, through Him, might be "saved." It is that word saved that I want to consider for a moment.

We throw that word around in our sermons and in our testimonies, but those who are not saved may not understand what we mean when we use the word saved. So, to clear up any confusion, I want to tell you what that word means. The word "saved" comes from the Greek word "sozw", (pronounced - sode' zo). This word literally means, "to save, to keep safe and sound, to rescue from danger or destruction.

a) to save one (from injury or peril)

1) to save a suffering one (from perishing), that is, one suffering from disease, to make well, heal, restore to health

2) to preserve one who is in danger of destruction, to save or rescue

b) to save in the technical, Biblical sense; negatively:

1) to deliver from the penalties of the Messianic judgment

2) to save from the evils which obstruct the reception of the Messianic deliverance.

If this word has that meaning, then why do we use it in regard to the soul?
Because, man in his natural state, is a sinner, Rom. 3:23. When we come into this world, we arrive here already under a death sentence, Rom. 6:23. Unless a person is "saved" then they will die in their sins and they will spend eternity in Hell, forever separated from the presence and power of Almighty God.
Now, no right thinking person wants that to happen to them! Therefore, we must know how we can be saved. That is something I will explain as this message unfolds.

Now, we know what it means to be saved, and I think we all want that for ourselves, we are about to find out how to be saved. All that remains is this one question,
"Can God Really Saved Your Soul?" That is, if you do what the Bible says and receive His plan of salvation, can God really save you and keep you out of Hell? That is the question I would like to answer.
Can God Really Save Your Soul? I say, "Yes He can!" Allow me to give you three reasons which I will continue tomorrow

LET US PRAY
FATHER LORD OPEN MY EYE TO SEE YOUR LIGHT OF SALVATION AND HELP ME TO ACCEPT YOU IN TRUTH INTO MY LIFE IN JESUS NAME

Release of abducted girls on agenda of security meeting

Abuja - The safe release of scores of school girls abducted by militants last week topped the agenda of a meeting President Goodluck Jonathan held Thursday with political and military chiefs, a governor said.

"The meeting clearly agreed that the issue of the moment is Chibok and the abduction of these children of ours and that we must do everything to ensure that these abducted children are retrieved and protected," said Kayode Fayemi, who attended the meeting.

"The military assured us that they are doing everything in order to achieve this objective," Fayemi, governor of southwest Ekiti state, told journalists after the meeting.

The mass abduction early last week of the girls from their school in Chibok, Borno state, was blamed on Boko Haram militants. It has been described as one of the most shocking attacks in the group's five-year extremist insurgency which has claimed thousands of lives.

Borno's government said 129 students were taken from the Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok when gunmen stormed the town under the cover of darkness on April 14.

The school's principal, Asabe Kwambura, who later said she was working with parents to compile a complete registry of those taken put the figure of girls abducted at 230.

More than 20 state governors as well as military and security chiefs attended Thursday's meeting, which lasted several hours in Abuja.

The meeting "discussed the overall security of the country whether it is the operation in the northeast, cattle rustling, kidnapping and other criminal activities that warrant security attention", Defence Minister Mohammed Gusau said.

It agreed on the need to mount massive security awareness and invest in the "deployment of advanced security technology and prevention of proliferation of small arms and light weapons", two governors at the meeting said.

No further details on the decisions taken were provided.

Some of the girls who escaped said the Islamists took the hostages to Borno's Sambisa Forest area, where Boko Haram is known to have well-fortified camps.

Parents have trekked through the bushlands of the remote region in a desperate search for their daughters, pooling money to buy fuel for motorcycles and cars.

Some turned back after being warned that the militants were nearby and prepared to slaughter anyone who advanced further.

The kidnapping came hours after the deadliest attack ever in Abuja, a bomb blast at a crowded bus station that killed at least 75 people.

Boko Haram's leader Abubakar Shekau claimed responsibility for that attack.

Christian group wants Taraba Governor removed

The Taraba state chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) called for the removal of the Acting Governor, Alhaji Garba Umar, accusing him of responsibility in the ongoing killings in the state.

The association called on the State House of Assembly to, as a matter of urgency, impeach him and President Goodluck Jonathan to remove the Acting Governor for his alleged failure to protect human lives.

According to the association, instead protecting human lives the acting governor "has become a murderer himself through the use of Islamic militants to shade innocent blood in the state."

Briefing journalists in its secretariat in Abuja, the state Chairman of the association, Bishop Timothy Yahaya, said, “We are calling on the members of the State House of Assembly to reconsider their steps and be pro-active by initiating moves to immediately impeach the Acting Governor.”

The association described the ongoing killings in the state as an “organized plots to exterminate Christian in the state”.

They observed that since the acting governor came there has been crisis in the state”.

They alleged that the Acting Governor is deeply involved in the ongoing crisis.

“Under Garba Umar sluttering have being the order day in the state. The Acting Governor is solely responsible for the crime that is going on in state.”

The association further alleged that the killings and destruction going on are only being visited on Christian community.

“Several towns and villages belonging to only Christians have been attacked, destroyed and many people have been killed while few that survive now live like destitute where they are taking refuge”.

Reacting on the allegations, the Special Assistant to the Acting Governor on Media and Publicity, Aron Atmas, expressed "sadness" that a well-respected Association like CAN could made such “unfounded allegations” against the Acting Governor.

“It is very unfortunate that the leadership of CAN will make sweeping statements that are unsubstantiated. A responsible religion organization like CAN should not make such unsubstantiated remarks.”

He said the actions of CAN as further were capable of dividing the people of the state.

“They should provide evidence. Their comments are not responsible enough. In Benue state CAN did not accused Governor Gabriel Suswam of sponsoring terrorists. CAN in Taraba state is trying to divide the populations of the state.”

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL TOPIC: GOD IS MY HELPER

TEXT: Isaiah 31 vs. 1

Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!

God does not want His children to put their trust in men, rather unto Him.

God does not want His children to trust in riches or human wisdom or Human security, but in Him.

Anytime you need help, look unto God first and He will set helpers prepared for that occasion.

God Has Shown Me The Party That Will Win The 2015 Elections —Prophet Ayodele

You know him. He is Primate Elijah Ayodele, founder of Inri Spiritual Evangelical Church. A man who does not speak anyhow and one of the prophets in Nigeria whose words are taken seriously. In this interview with Ayomide Owonibi, he speaks about the future of Nigeria and what Nigerians should expect in 2015:

Visions for Nigeria in the first quarter of the year
Prayers are all what we need to keep the country intact, to bring peace to the country. As a matter of fact, a lot is still going to happen and Nigerians still need to be praying ahead. I am using this medium to appeal to all Christians and Nigerians who believe in the tomorrow of this country to pray.

If Nigerians can exercise patience, I see the economy booming. I see expatriates coming into this country because our economy would be one of the best in Africa come 2017. But the point is that we have to pray that God should keep Nigeria as one nation. The government has not really addressed the issue of one nation as expected. We need prayers for God’s divine intervention.

Nigeria’s unity
It may take 30 or 50 years but Nigeria cannot stay together for another 100 years.

Specifically, are you seeing Jonathan as President in 2015?
I am not talking about Jonathan here. I am talking about the party. I am saying again, PDP will make it in 2015. There is still going to be more negotiations. Honestly speaking, if the Vice-President does not sit up, his position would be used for negotiations. Most of the defected government if not all, two would come back to PDP. There would still be more defections. APC cannot fight PDP, as they don’t have the mandate. APC did not ask from God before they came together so they cannot stand.

Another thing is that the weather forecast in Lagos State, which said that rain would fall for 265 days is a lie. The Lord told me that it is a lie. There would be rain but not for 265 days. The meteorologists have made a big blunder. Nobody determines the work of God.

On insecurity
If this government tries to have any kind of amnesty with Boko Haram, it would cause problems for this country. The government should not take it lightly with Boko Haram; they should fight the war against them. I see other nations supporting Nigeria in the long run. Boko Haram would still make the FG spend a lot of money. On the issue of Boko Haram, the CIA has misled the Nigerian government about it. As said by the Lord, America should be blamed, as directed by the Lord. These people are not spirits. I don’t know whether the government is afraid to address things the way they are. They should address it from the roots.

We said it earlier this year that Abuja must be very watchful because there is going to be an attack on Abuja. The government should work more on security so that Nigerians can be protected.

Nigerians don’t understand when a man of God speaks. We should not blame many men of God who said things in the back that did not come to pass. Everything is in the hands of God. He is the one who has the final say about everything that happens. What I am saying in essence is that APC will not make the presidency in 2015, though it will be very tough.

What are your thoughts about the missing Malaysian plane?
The missing Malaysian plane is riddled with politics. The people should put pressure on the Malaysian government. There is more to that missing plane than meets the eye. I would say it again, the government is involved. The government should be queried about the missing plane. It is not a crashed plane at the moment, but a missing plane.

How about Rivers State?
If Rivers State is not careful enough, PDP might take over the state. PDP would [keep] Akwa Ibom. Also, if care is not taken, PDP would take over Sokoto State. These are the states that God has revealed to me that PDP would take over.

I see the flag of Nigeria changing. At the end of it all, there is still going to be another constitution review. I see that there is going to be something like a referendum. I see a confab where there would be an adoption of referendum. There would be elections in 2015 despite insinuations that there would be none.

The Faces of The Fake Fulani Herdsmen Killing For Boko Haram

At last, it has emerged that the group of herdsmen operating in Nigeria's middlebelt states of Benue, Nasarawa, Taraba and even those that recently killed scores of people in Zamfara state, are Boko Haram sect members, and not actual Fulani Herdsmen.

The photo above are the faces of some of the men reigning terror in the land. These men were captured by the military. They were said to have taken part in the recent killing of hundreds of people and burning of houses in the Wukari area of Taraba state. They have confessed to being members of the Boko Haram sect.
“A group of terrorists operating under the guise of herdsmen from a camp in the outskirt of Wukari have been arrested, while others died after an attack on military check point at Gindin Dorowa, a suburb of Wukari in Taraba State.

“Other members of the group were sighted in the course of air surveillance and later trailed to their camp where they engaged the troops in a battle...
“The terrorists were clad in the usual pattern of dress of their counterparts operating in Borno and Yobe States.

“One of the apprehended armed men confessed that he had been fighting for the terrorist group in Borno State and was recently brought to Wukari area in furtherance of their mission. Assorted arms and ammunition were recovered from them”.
Said a statement signed by the Director of Defence Information, Major General Chris Olukolade.

There Will Be Change Of Government In 2015 ––Prophet Reveals

The leaders of Divine Intelligence Ministry, Prophet George Fakolade, has prophesied that there is going to be a change of government in Nigeria in 2015, as a new regime that will reposition Nigeria for the better will be ushered in. Giving an insight into what to expect, the Prophet said positive change is coming

According to Prophet Fakolade whose predictions about political events in Nigeria have come to pass, there is going to be a great divine change in Nigeria come 2015 as new set of leaders are coming on board.
“Lt. General T. Y Danjuma would be part of the government; God has decreed it since the year 2000, and it is going to be a divine appointment of a divine regime. It is an unchangeable decree from God. People asked me why T. Y. Danjuma; I told them that God has a covenant with him. God is a covenant keeping God; when He says something, it is going to happen; we just have to be prepared.”

Prophet Fakolade, who stormed the office of Leadership Newspaper in Abuja on Wednesday to make known the prophecy, said that the suffering of Nigerians is coming to an end, adding that the new regime is going to bring about abundance.

He noted that the world is being governed by divine intelligence as directed by God and Nigeria cannot afford to ignore this fact and remain stagnant, adding that he has been directed to solve the problems facing the nation in less than 20 days.

He added that the end has come for bad leadership in Nigeria.

WHAT? The 2nd Coming of Jesus May Never Happen ––Vatican

Is this another conjecture or it actually emanated from the Vatican headed by Pope Francis? Read:

Spokesperson for the Vatican officially announced days ago that the second coming of Jesus, the only son of the God, may not happen now after all, but urged followers to still continue with their faith, regardless.

Here is the shocker: Cardinal Giorgio Salvadore told WWN that this year's 1,981st anniversary is to be the Vatican’s last in regards to waiting for the Lord to return to Earth.
“We just feel Jesus is not coming back by the looks of it. It’s been ages like. He’s probably flat out doing other really good things for people somewhere else.”
Another shocker: The Vatican defended the fact that Jesus’ promise of coming soon has not been fulfilled as they claimed that “he was probably drinking wine” at the time when he made the comments. What?

“Having the ability to turn water into wine had its ups and its downs,” added Cardinal Salvadore.

The Catholic church said it will now focus attentions on rebuilding its reputation around the world, but will keep an optimistic mind for the saviour's second coming.

Nearly two thousand years ago, Jesus promised his disciples that he would come again in John 14:1-3:
“There are many homes up where my Father lives, and I am going to prepare them for your coming. When everything is ready, then I will come and get you, so that you can always be with Me where I am. If this weren’t so, I would tell you plainly.”

SEE What A Popular Politician Did To His Own Wife

But for the timely intervention of their gate man, a popular politician in Ogun State, Bashorun Bayo Awosanya, would have been blaming the devil now after sending his wife to a place she is not prepared to go yet.

I heard that he pounced on his wife after a minor domestic argument, with a view to teach her a lesson. She is very grateful that their gate man summoned courage to stop the politician. Can you imagine that a man will do this to his wife on a day like Easter Sunday? Yes, it happened on Easter Sunday. More pix below:

The wife is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Ogun State. Really sad!

PHOTO: My Husband Is A Pastor But See What He Did To Me

Bessem Okafor, the estranged wife of the pastor of Mountain of Liberation Miracles Ministires, Pastor Chris Okafor, has shown how her husband beat her up mercilessly at their home in the Magodo are of Lagos.

Bessem who left her home in 2012, said she had, a few weeks ago, gone to visit her four children who were in the custody of their father, Pastor Chris, based on an agreement.

Few hours after their children had left for school, Bessem received a phone call from Pastor Chris who had also left the house. He questioned why she was still in his house and and ordered her to leave. But Bessem said she had promised her children that she would wait and see them after school before leaving.

At this point, Pastor Chris sent a policeman who was part of his entourage to the house to send his wife out.
The wife said, “The policeman told me to leave the house. At that time, I was wearing only my dress. I had washed my undies and spread them to dry since I didn’t come with extra.
The visit was said to have been arranged by a lawyer from Office of Public Defender in Lagos State Ministry of Justice, and her husband’s lawyer, Mr. Onyechukwu Ubani.

While speaking with Punch, Bessem said: “I have not seen my children for nine months and our lawyers agreed that I could come see them at home after school hours by 5pm. I went to the house at the appointed time, but my children were not there.

“I had to wait outside in the compound until 10pm before my husband arrived; the children were not with him. They were later brought home by the driver about 12am. By then it was clear I couldn’t leave again, I had to spend the night. The following morning, I bathed and dressed them for school. They pleaded with me to stay back until they returned and since I hardly spent time with them the day before, I agreed.”

It was based on her promise to her children that she stayed in the house:
“I told the policeman that I would leave after my children returned from school. Later, Chris came in and on seeing me, he started beating me and dragged me out of the house.”

She said some policemen came to arrest her, but she could not go with them because her clothes were torn.

The following day after making a complaint of assault at the Isheri Police Division, she was hospitalised at the Solid Rock Hospital, in the Ojodu/Berger area. A copy of her medical report made available Punch said she was brought in for treatment after a brawl with her spouse.

Pastor Chris, when contacted, did not respond to calls and a text message to his phone. A reporter visited his church at Ojodu on two occasions, but his aides said he was not available for comment.

When Punch contacted Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ngozi Braide, she did not respond to calls and text messages to her phone.

Anyway, Pastor Chris lawyer, Ubani, is defending him. Here is what he said:
“Bessem has made all sorts of allegations against her husband, but what she has failed to tell you is that she left her marriage of her own volition. She ended her marriage with her infidelity. She would leave her house, come back at late hours and would not tell her husband where she has been.

“The couple are already in court for divorce. This particular incident you are asking about, it was Bessem who tore her own clothes. Chris never laid a hand on her. Why did she not get a medical report from a government hospital?

“If she was truly assaulted she would have gone to the station to make a report. Then they would give her a paper to take to a public hospital. That of the private hospital is not admissible in court. Chris never refused her access to her children; they were simply brought to the church because his mother and cousin were not at home. After bringing some policemen from Isheri to arrest Chris while he was at the pulpit, she still went ahead to Zone 2 to make another report.”

The PPRO Zone 2, SP Lewi Suleimann, when contacted said, “We are still waiting to get the file transferred from the Isheri Police Station. I would not like to comment much before we get the file.”
