Sudan apostasy woman: Meriam Ibrahim 'to be freed' after death sentence for marrying Christian man

Meriam Yahya Ibrahim, who was sentenced to death in Sudan after she married a Christian man, is to be freed, a Sudanese foreign ministry official has said.
The decision comes after the Sudanese government faced mounting pressure from the international community over her “barbaric” treatment.
Abdullahi Alzareg, an under-secretary at the foreign ministry, said the county was committed to protecting the woman and guaranteed religious freedom.
Ms Ibrahim, raised a Christian by her mother, was ruled by a judge to have turned her back on Islam and convicted of apostasy, because her father was a Muslim.
As well as marrying a Christian man, the 27-year-old doctor had refused to renounce her Christian faith.
Sentenced to death while eight months pregnant, Ms Ibrahim gave birth to her baby daughter Maya this week while shackled in heavy chains in the hospital wing of Omdurman Women’s Prison.
The judge annulled the Christian marriage and Ms Ibrahim was sentenced to an additional 100 lashes for adultery because her union was deemed illegitimate under Islamic law.

Boko Haram Arms Linked To 10 Guilty Generals

Though the military insisted there was no truth in the reports, several Nigerian newspapers said Tuesday that 10 generals and five other senior military officers have been found guilty in courts-martial of providing arms and information to Boko Haram extremists.
The newspaper reports follow months of allegations from politicians and soldiers who told The Associated Press that some senior officers were helping the Islamic extremists and that some rank-and-file soldiers even fight alongside the insurgents and then return to army camps. They have said that information provided by army officers has helped insurgents in ambushing military convoys and in attacks on army barracks and outposts in their northeastern stronghold.
One of our correspondents quoted one officer saying that four other officers, in addition to the 15, were found guilty of “being disloyal and for working for the members of the sect,”.

Defense Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Chris Olukolade, who last week denied reports saying senior officers were being investigated, reiterated in a statement on Tuesday that defense headquarters “wishes to state once again categorically that there is no truth whatsoever in the report.”
He called it a “falsehood” concocted by those who “appear hell-bent on misleading Nigerians and the international community to give credence to the negative impression they are so keen to propagate about the Nigerian military.”

Nigeria’s military often denies substantiated reports, such as on extrajudicial killings of civilians and detainees. It is accused of such gross human rights violations that the U.S. efforts to help in the rescue of nearly 300 abducted schoolgirls have been limited by U.S. law restricting sharing of some types of information and technology with abusive security forces.

The alleged sabotage by senior officers could explain the military’s failure to curb a 5-year-old Islamic uprising by Boko Haram that has killed thousands despite a year-long state of emergency in the northeast.
Boko Haram has attracted international condemnation and U.N. sanctions since its April 15 abduction of more than 300 schoolgirls, of whom 272 remain captive.
Nigerian activists pressing the government to rescue the schoolgirls filed a complaint Tuesday against a police ban on protests.
“We filed a complaint that the police don’t have any right to stop people from expressing themselves,” said community leader Pogu Bitrus of Chibok.

The protests have “degenerated” and are “now posing a serious security threat,” Abuja police commissioner Joseph Mbu said in a statement Monday banning all protests in the capital related to the topic.
The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, SERAP, said such a ban violates basic rights under the Nigerian constitution.
However, Nigerian police on Tuesday said they had not ordered a ban on peaceful assemblies or protests in Nigeria.

“The Police only issued advisory notice, enjoining citizens to apply caution in the said rallies,” the statement said. “Citizens are strongly advised to reconsider their positions on the issues of rallies and protests” given the current threats by militants.
The kidnapping crisis has highlighted Nigeria’s failure to curb Boko Haram’s uprising.

At Least 100 Killed By Boko Haram Members Disguised As Soldiers

Boko Haram insurgents disguised as military men have killed at least 100 men in the Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno state.

No fewer than 100 people have been killed in the latest of a series of attacks by Boko Haram insurgents in Borno state.

The attackers who struck in four different villages - Attagara, Agapalawa, Ngoshe and Aganjara all in the Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno state were reportedly carried out by Boko Haram members who were dressed in military uniforms. The men were also reported to have destroyed the telecommunication masts in the area during the attack.

The men were said to have come into the village under the pretext of protecting the villagers, only for them to turn around and begin shooting at the villagers. Those who attempted to run into the bush were gunned down by the men who reportedly came in terrain vehicles, motorbikes and armed with Kalashnikov assault weapons and rocket-propelled grenades.

Speaking on the attack, Hon. Peter Bive, the House of Reps member for Gwoza LGA said many were left dead in the attack.

According to him:

«“There were deadly attacks on these villages by Boko Haram insurgents who killed a large number of people and destroyed homes. We are still trying to compile a toll of the dead as people on the ground are still counting the number of casualties.Boko Haram have hoisted their flags in at least seven villages in the area which they now claim to be under their control,” he said.

Pastor Pays Off His Mistress After Sex Marathon And Sharing Naked Selfies

Pastor Charles Jenkins has now been accused of using church funds to feed his whore!

A U.S pastor comes under serious attack from his congregation, family and friends after he was accused of allegedly using church funds to pay off his mistress of so many years and offering her a juicy job at the church just so she could stay closer and was always 'available' for him.

Pastor Charles Jenkins of the Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago was busted for cheating on his lovely wife for many years early this week; and putting up naked selfies on the internet while chatting with his secret lover.

The Grammy award winning pastor, of course denies all these allegations and is struggling to get his wife and children to believe in him again. But in an episode of Financial Lovemaking, Dr. Boyce Watkins and S. Tia Brown discussed the good pastor's 'bad' choices and how they might play out emotionally, financially or otherwise.

"This is very bad for his image and calling. Even though it's still all based on allegations, except the nude picture, the Pastor has some self-examining to do. He needs God now more than ever."

Plus are there potential legal liabilities that one might encounter for using organizational resources to cater for their personal activities?

Pulse.ng fans, what do you advice Pastor Charles to do now? Send us your thoughts below.

WASTE NO FURTHER TIME FOR YOUR SALVATION

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: WASTE NO FURTHER TIME FOR YOUR SALVATION

What Happens When We Die?

Scripture: “And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment . . .” Hebrews 9:27

Death is Certain

Rich or poor, in spite of all our efforts, everyone will die sooner or later. There are many opinions about what happens when we die. But what does God have to say about it?

Eternal Life – Two Kinds

God’s word, the Bible, tells us that each person’s soul lives forever. Today’s scripture from Hebrews tells us that after death comes judgment. This leads us to one of two destinies: Heaven or Hell.

We know that Christians, who have received God’s free gift of salvation and forgiveness, will spend eternity in Heaven. There, they will have loving fellowship with God and His people. Sadly, those who have rejected Jesus Christ will not go to Heaven. The Bible teaches that their certain destiny is Hell. In hell, suffering, hopelessness and regret last forever. There is an absence of God that brings deep grief.

Heaven is the best possible place to spend eternity and Hell is the worst. The difference between these two outcomes is very big.

The Decision is Yours

Church attendance won’t get you into Heaven. Nor will living a good life, or doing good deeds. Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Later in Romans we find that “the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” ( Romans 6:23 ) .

We must first admit that we are sinful and separated from God. Then we must turn away from our sins, turn to Jesus Christ, and ask for God’s forgiveness. By believing that Jesus took the punishment that we deserved, we accept and receive God’s gracious gift of salvation by faith.

Don’t Delay

No matter your age, there’s no guarantee that you will live until tomorrow. In Luke 12:16-21 , Jesus told a story of a rich man who trusted in his possessions. “But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul is required of you, and the things you have prepared, whose will they be?’” ( Luke 16:20 ) .

I urge you: Don’t wait another day to come to Jesus for salvation

LET US PRAY
FATHER WHATEVER THE CASE MAY BE SAVE OUR SOUL BEFORE OUR DEATH IN JESUS NAME. AMEN

Women in trousers barred from passing MFM camp ground

If you're a woman and you're wearing trousers, do not attempt to pass through The Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Camp Ground in Magboro, on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ogun State.

According to Punch the church has started a 'strict enforcement' of its law against women putting on trousers and passing through the camp ground this week.
Some women, who were on their way to the Ecobank in the Prayer City on Monday recounted their experiences in the hands of the security men at the main gate of the camp.
They wondered why the church must “embarrass” women, who were on their way to a “bank and not the church auditorium. One of them, who spoke to a Punch correspondent on condition of anonymity on Monday, said, “See the loose trousers that I’m putting on. How does this offend anybody? You can imagine the embarrassment that I was subjected to at the gate on my way here (bank).
“They asked why I must wear trousers to this place, as if I said I was going to the church auditorium. At least, they should have waited till I want to enter the church.”
When contacted, the Security Head of the church, who gave his name only as Mr. Lanre, told Punch that the road in question was not an access route for the public, adding that security challenges informed the barricade.

“The so-called access road is illegal. It is part of the church property. If we decided to block it, I don’t think that is business of anybody. Can you claim what does not belong to you? They (communities) even went ahead to stage an informal protest. Attacks on public places in the country have made it mandatory for organisations to beef up their security.

“We are not under compulsion to share our property with the communities. Regarding your question on the social benefits the neighbouring residents derive from the church, I can’t comment on that. But there are records of what we have done for them,” he said.

Commenting on the women on trousers, Lanre said the dress was inconsistent with the doctrine of the church.
He said, “Such women will be barred from taking the road on the camp that links to the expressway.”

YOU NEED SHEPHERD HELP

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: YOU NEED SHEPHERD HELP

. . . . . .CONTINUE FROM YESTERDAY

Listen! The Good Shepherd wants to increase your faith and remove all of your doubts and fears. But how does he do that? How does this happen?

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lies down in the green pastures of his Word, the Holy Scriptures. He leads me besides the still waters of Holy Baptism; he that believes and is baptized will be saved. He restores my soul through the power of Holy Communion; he feeds me with his body and blood. He leads me in the path to his cross and resurrection; he forgives my sins for his name’s sake.”
You see, the Shepherd feeds his sheep with his Word and Sacraments. That’s why worship is so important. Here, we listen to the voice of the Shepherd as he calls. He feeds our hungry heart. He restores our soul. He bestows his gift of forgiveness. The Lord feeds us with his Word and Sacraments. In this way, faith is created and strengthened. Our hunger is satisfied. Our doubts and fears begin to fade away.
Jesus says, “I am the Good Shepherd. My sheep listen to my voice. I know them and they follow me. I give them eternal life and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand.” Our Shepherd promises to lead us in the paths of righteousness. Christ goes forth and we follow. He leads us in our daily life. He guides and directs us. He says, “Come, follow me! I will show you the way to go.”

The problem here is that we sheep often prefer to go our own way. We think that we know better than God. We seek greener pastures elsewhere. And so we drift away from the path of righteousness. We fall back in the old ways. We get tangled up in the bushes of sin and unbelief. We get lost. We get hurt.

That’s when we forsake God’s Word; we don’t read the Bible everyday. We neglect worship and prayer. We forget about our baptism. We ignore the power of Holy Communion. We don’t live in the promises of the New Covenant.
We all, like sheep, have gone astray; each of us has turned to his own way. We have drifted off the path of righteousness and have fallen into the ditch. We have run off the road and are tangled up in the bushes. We are lost. We are in trouble. We need help

LET US PRAY
FATHER IN JESUS NAME, SEND YOUR DIVINE HELP TO OUR HOPELESS SITUATION TODAY IN JESUS NAME. AMEN

TOPIC: DO YOU TRUST YOUR SHEPHERD?

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: DO YOU TRUST YOUR SHEPHERD?

TEXT “The Lord is my Shepherd”: A sermon on Psalm 23

Once there was a shepherd who had 100 sheep. One evening he counted them as they went into the gate. Only 99 were there! One was missing! It must not have followed the shepherd home and was now lost in the woods. At once, the man closed the gate and left his helpers to watch the flock. He must find that lost sheep before some wolf could get her. He hurried to the place where the flock had been that day. He called the sheep’s name over and over again.
For a while the shepherd hear nothing. Again and again he called. At last, he heard a weak cry. Before long, he found her, all tangled up in some bushes. He gently pulled her out, but found she could not walk; she had hurt her leg. So he picked her up and carried her home on his shoulders.

This shepherd is someone we all know. It is Jesus Christ, and we are his sheep. Sometime we sheep get lost. We go down the wrong path. We get hurt.

But our shepherd is always calling us back. He wants all of us to be safe with him. He searches for us when we get lost. He calls us by name. And he rejoices over all who belong to him. Christ leads us home.

That’s what makes Psalm 23 so powerful. The Lord Jesus Christ is my shepherd. He is the Son of God who loved me and who gave himself for me. And if Christ is with me, then I am safe in his love.

Look at how Psalm 23 begins: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” Our Psalm says that we will never lack anything. That’s quite a statement of faith, isn’t it? If Christ is our shepherd, we will never be in want or lack anything in our life. But is that really true? Do we really believe this?

Often, it feels as if there is something missing in our life. In fact, we often feel like we lack a lot of things. It seems like our life is empty. We feel hollow inside. We are spiritually hungry. We feel lost.

FAITH
Perhaps what’s missing in our life is faith, just a simple trust in God’s goodness and grace. Often our faith is shaky and uncertain. We are filled with doubts and fears. Our trust in the Lord is weak and faltering. We have a hard time believing.

CRY "HELP" TO THE LORD NOW
We may finally reach a point where we cry out, “Lord, help me! Increase my faith! Help me to trust in you and to follow your ways. Show me the way to get rid of my doubts and fears.”

LISTEN TO YOUR SHEPHERD
That’s when Jesus says, “Listen! I am the Good Shepherd; I know me sheep and my sheep know me, and I lay down my life for the sheep.” Jesus says that he know us and our situation. The shepherd is well aware of the condition of his sheep. That’s why he points to himself and says, “I am your Shepherd. Listen to my voice when I call to you. Hear my Word! Listen to what I say
. . . . . CONTINUE TOMORROW

LET US PRAY
TODAY IN JESUS NAME, JESUS THE GOOD SHEPHERD WILL FIND YOU, AND REPAIR, RENEWED, RECREATE EVERY OF YOUR BROKENNESS IN JESUS NAME

How The Emir Of Gwoza Was Murdered In Open Street By Boko Haram

How The Emir Of Gwoza Was Murdered In Open Street By Boko Haram

The Borno State Government has announced the murder of the Emir of Gwoza, Alhaji Idrissa Timta, by gunmen believed to be members of the Boko Haram militant sect.

A statement signed by Ambassador Baba Ahmed Jidda, the

Secretary to the State Government (SSG), said the emir was killed at about 9am today along Tashan Alade on the way to Biu town, headquarters of Biu Lo‎cal Government Area in Southern Borno.

He was in the company of the Emir of Askira, Alhaji Abdullahi Ibn Muhammadu Askirama and Emir of Uba, Alhaji Ali Ibn Ismaila Mamza, on their way to the funeral in Gombe today of the late Emir of Gombe. The emirs had elected to drive in the same vehicle to Biu to pick up the Emir of Biu to travel with them.

The SSG gave the sequence of events as follows: “The late Emir of Gwoza had visited his counterpart, the Emir of Uba ‎yesterday and passed the night in Uba ahead of their planned trip today. The two Emirs were this morning, joined by the Emir of Askira. The three drove in the same vehicle with the intention of going to Biu to be joined by their counterpart in Biu. Unfortunately as they were driving in convoy to Biu, they were ambushed by gun men around Tashan Alade, soon after passing Garkida. The gunmen came after the convoy, specifically targeted the vehicle conveying the three Emirs and opened fire. The Emir of Gwoza was unfortunately killed by the attackers while the Emirs of Askira and Uba escaped unhurt. A policeman in the convoy was shot by the attackers but he survived the attack.”

He described Alhaji Timta, a first class emir following his recent elevation by Governor Kashim Shettima, as a great man who worked very hard to promote peace and progress in Gwoza.

“He was a pillar and one of the rallying points in Borno State,” the statement said, adding that he has visibly worked very hard in the search for peace in Gwoza since the insurgency began.

“Borno State Government is terribly shocked by this incident,” the SSG said. “The Government prays that Allah admits the late Emir into aljanna Firadaus and give family, members of the Gwoza Emirate Council, ‎the people of Gwoza, the State Council of Chiefs and the entire people of Borno State the fortitude to bear this very traumatic loss especially at a time the State is still dealing with equally disturbing issues related with security challenges in the State.”

He prayed for accelerated and lasting peace in Borno State and the rest of Nigeria.

“Boko Haram militants ambushed their [emirs’] convoy and kidnapped the traditional rulers,” a security source told SaharaReporters.

Two of the traditional rulers who escaped were identified as the Emir of Askira, Abdullahi Askirama and the Emir Of Uba, Ismaila Mamza

HOW DO I PROVOKE GOD’S FAVOUR

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL. . . . CONTINUE FROM YESTERDAY

HOW DO I PROVOKE GOD’S FAVOUR

As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid. For he said to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

So then it is not of him that willeth, or of him that runneth but of God that sheweth mercy”. Romans 9 : 13 – 16.

Though God says he will show mercy or favour upon whom he will show mercy, it is possible to provoke God’s favour.

1. BY YOUR PRAYER

There is a type of prayer that provokes divine favour. This is the prayer that avails much. The Amplified Bible describes it as:
…..The earnest (heart felt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available (dynamic in its working) James 5 : 16

Hezekiah was sick unto death and God sent prophet Isaiah to inform him that he would surely die. Hezekiah’s prayer in Isiah 38 provoked God’s favour and He added 15 years to his life.

2. TRUSTING GOD

“Jesus said unto him, if thou can’t believe, all things are possible to him that believeth” Mark 9 : 23

We can provoke the favour of God by our faith and trust in Him. In Luke 8 : 43 - 48, The woman with the issue of blood experienced the favour of God because of her level of faith

TODAY GOD OF FAVOUR WILL LOCATE YOU IN JESUS NAME

Deeper Life Bible Church Pastor, Eric Abakporo, Sentenced To Six Years For Real Estate Fraud

A former Brooklyn-based civil attorney, and Pastor of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Ifeanyichukwu Eric Abakporo, was today in federal court in New York sentenced to six years in a United States prison in a case of defrauding banks, mortgage lenders, property owners, and property buyers.

Mr. Abakporo was immediately remanded into custody by presiding U.S. District Court Judge, Shira A. Scheindlin. His wife and two children wept openly in the courtroom. He was led away in handcuffs.

In addition to the six-year mandatory sentence, Abakporo will more than likely face deportation to Nigeria after serving his sentence, with the likelihood of a three-year supervisory probation release waved.

His co-defendant, Latanya Pierce, received a lighter, 30-month sentence. In her closing statement, Pierce said she felt like the “biggest fool in the world.”

The legal fate of Abakporo and Pierce was never in doubt. They were convicted in a wide-ranging series of illegal transactions in New York City over a nine-year stretch, dating back to 2003.

Following the sentencing procedures, neither prosecuting attorneys nor the attorneys defending the two would offer comments to SaharaReporters.

As Abakporo was away in handcuffs, his wife and two children wept openly in the courtroom.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Divorces His Wife Anita?

Arguably, one of the most famous couple-pastors in Nigeria is Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and his wife, Rev. Anita Oyakhilome of Love World Assembly, aka Christ Embassy Church.

However, with the latest information emanating from the United kingdom, where the Oyakhilome's resides, the couple may have divorced or separated secretly from their marriage.

According to a report published in the UK on Wednesday, 28 May, 2014, most of the members of Christ Embassy Church in the UK are beginning to show concerns on why the couple has not been seen together both in the church and outside the church lately.

In an attempt to find answers to their worries, some members of the church have allegedly went to open a Facebook page which they call 'Where is Rev. Anita Oyakhilome?

* Pastor Chris and his wife, Anita

The page administrators who are based in the United Kingdom and are strong members of the church, stated on the page that they are very worried about the absence of Rev. Anita Oyakhilome in the life of Pastor Chris.

While demanding demanding to know her whereabouts, the members stated on the facebook page that they wondering what has become of the clergywoman.

According to comments on the facebook page, Rev. Anita hasn't been seen in the Christ Embassy Church where she pastors since November, 2013, and there were no explanations given, as to her sudden disappearance and the church has been left without a pastor since then.

In one of the posts on the page, the members want to know the real truth about her mental state as there are speculations she may not be really sound upstairs, while they are also wondering if their Senior Pastor had divorced the wife without the members knowing.

In another post, the group reported the summary of an earlier speech made by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, where he admonished his members not to question anything they see or air their opinion on any matter in the church.

He pointed out in the speech, that any church where the members air their views never grows.

Below is the summary of pastor Chris Oyakhilome's Speech on 16/05/2014 in a meeting with all UK Pastors and Deacons at Christ Embassy, Bermondsey:

"I am here for your concerns about the ongoing domestic issue with my wife and I know it affects you directly, being the ones under her leadership. This is not an organisation or a political party, so it's not a place for you to air your opinion or scrutinise what we do.

We had a vision, started and you joined us. If you don't like what we do, you can get out. Churches where members air their views never grow. Some pastors wives think when they marry a pastor they are equal to the pastor.

My wife thinks so, as a matter of fact, Rev. Tom was her pastor before I married her and Rev. Ray and Evang. Owase were her leaders long before I married her. How come she thinks she's senior to them now? I already started Christ Embassy before I married her.

I didn't marry her and said we should start Christ Embassy. I was already pastoring. I already set my sail and knew my direction before I married her. I only said come and help me. Be careful of the friends you keep.

My wife keeps friends who bring out the worst in her and help her see the worst in people instead of keeping friends that will help her vision especially as the wife of a global pastor like me.

Bitterness is prolonged and accumulated anger. My wife is always angry and bitter. Allegations are either false or twisted information. The current situation is not as a result of what I did or what I didn't do.

I didn't do anything to have caused an upheaval. You don't join a woman to fight her husband. I'm not teaching you what is wrong, at least I have 2 girls who will one day marry and I want them to enjoy it.

Sex :Prayers to overcome masturbation, porn, and sexual lusts

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Sex :Prayers to overcome masturbation, porn, and sexual lusts

PRAYER AGAINST SEXUAL PERVERSION -Romans 6:14
Sexual sin opens the door for all kinds of evil spirits to enter.

This prayer programme is for those:-
Ø Who would like to be delivered from the spiritual contamination resulting from past sexual sins
Ø Who would like to be delivered from their present sexual lusts, enticement, and other sexual sins.
Ø Who would like to expel sexual deposits acquired by sleeping with demonised who has been a commercial sex worker in the past people.
Ø Who frequently dream of having sex?
Ø Don’t despair if the enemy has subjected you to such a depth of immoral degradation. You would be lifted up to the height of purity which God has purposed for you as you call upon Him to help you.
Rom. 1:22; “professing themselves to be wise, they became fools”.

Please, open your Bible and slowly, meditatively read Rom. 1:18-32 and Leviticus 18:1-30.

Are you surprise at the things you’ve just read? Indeed there is nothing new under the sun’ (Ecclesiastes 1:9) basically the laws of God concerning sexual pervasion as stated in Leviticus 18 can be divided into 5 groups.

They are laws against-
Ø Incest (i.e. having sex with close relatives, brother stated between verses 6 and 19)

Ø Adultery (vs. 20) idolatry i.e. offering child sacrifices (vs. 21)

Ø Homosexuality, lesbianism, masturbation, prostitution etc (vs.22)

Ø Bestiality (having sex with animals(Vs 23)

Are you caught in the bondage of any of these? indeed the chains of habit (perversion) are too weak to be felt till they ate too strong to be broken. All kinds of sexual bondage can be broken through the power of the blood of Jesus.
There is hope for you, the Bible say, “Sin shall not have dominion over you” (Rom 6:14) because” The law of spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death” (Roam 8:2).

As you pray sincerely with a contrite / repentant heart (Psalm 51:17) God will set you free from chains of sexual perversion.

CONFESSION

Gal 5:24: and they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affection and lusts.

PRAISE / WORSHIP AND PRAYER

1. Thank God for His power to deliver from every bondage.

2. I break myself from every spirit of sexual perversion, in the name of Jesus.

3. I release myself from every spiritual pollution emanating from my past sin of fornication and sexual immorality in the name of Jesus.

5. I release myself from every dream pollution, in the name of Jesus.

6. I command every evil plantation of sexual perversion in my life to come out with all its root, in the name of Jesus

7. Every spirit of sexual perversion working against my life, be paralyzed and get out of my life in the name of Jesus.

8. Every demon of sexual perversion assigned to my life, be bound, in the name of Jesus.

9. Father Lord, let the power of sexual perversion oppressing my life receive the fire of God and be roasted, in the name of Jesus.

10. Every inherited demon of sexual perversion in my life, receive the arrows of fire and remain permanently bound, in the name of Jesus.

TOPIC: STEPS IN OVERCOMING MASTURBATION

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: STEPS IN OVERCOMING MASTURBATION

TEXT: 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 KJV
For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: [4] That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; [5] Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God:

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW FIRSTLY

Be assured that you can be cured of your difficulty. Many have been, through the power of Jesus Christ, and you can be also if you allow Jesus to control your life as He so desires.

Your inner determination is the first step. That is where we begin. You must decide that you will end this practice, and when you make that decision, the problem will be greatly reduced at once. You must contemplate how revolted Jesus is when He watches you sweating and moaning like that. You must imagine how disgusted He is when He has to sort through your spilled seed, looking for the pre-born lives you have condemned to hell. And you must realize that masturbation is a gateway sin to sodomy. Only nancyboys enjoy touching a tallywhacker.

But it must be more than a hope or a wish, more than knowing that it is what God wants. It must be actually a DECISION. If you truly make up your mind that you will be HEALED of this repulsive, unhealthy habit, then Jesus will give you the strength to resist any tendencies which you may have and any temptations which may come to you.

After you have made this decision and prayed as hard as you can for Christ to stay your hands, you must observe the following specific guidelines:

9 PERSONAL GODLY EXERCISE OF SELF DISCIPLINE

1 Corinthians 9:27 KJV
But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

1. Never touch the intimate parts of your body including during normal toilet processes.

2. Avoid being alone as much as possible. Find good company and stay in this good company.

3. If you are associated with other persons having this same problem, YOU MUST NOT BREAK OFF THEIR FRIENDSHIP. By associating with other people having the same weakness, the two of you can become stronger as a team. Don't suppose that two of you will quit separately, you never will. You must stick together with people who share your depravity. Just to be in their presence will keep your problem foremost in your mind. The problem must be taken seriously for it to be wiped out. Your mind must be focused on other and more wholesome things. Read the Bible!

4. When you bathe, do not admire yourself in a mirror. Do not flex your muscles. Do not imagine yourself as attractive or sexy. Never stay in the bath more than five or six minutes just long enough to bathe and dry and dress AND THEN GET OUT OF THE BATHROOM into a room where you will have some member of your family present.

5. When in bed, if that is where you have your problem for the most part, dress yourself for the night so tightly and securely that you cannot easily touch your tallywhacker, and so that it would be difficult and time consuming for you to remove those bindings. By the time you started to remove protective clothing you would have sufficiently controlled your thinking that the temptation would leave you. Spend more time praying!! Don't think about masturbation!!

6. If the temptation seems overpowering while you are in bed, GET OUT OF BED AND GO INTO THE KITCHEN AND FIX YOURSELF A SNACK, even if it is in the middle of the night, and even if you are not hungry, and despite your fears of gaining weight. The purpose behind this suggestion is that you GET YOUR MIND ON SOMETHING ELSE. EAT SOMETHING SWEET! Then contemplate the depravity of masturbation.

7. Never read pornographic material. Avoid the Song of Solomon! Never read about your problem. Keep it out of mind. Remember -- "First a thought, then an act." DO NOT focus on how masturbation makes you feel.

The thought pattern must be changed. You must not allow this problem to remain in your mind. When you accomplish that, you soon will be free of the act. Ask Jesus to occupy your mind.

8. Put wholesome thoughts into your mind at all times. Read good books -- Church books -- Scriptures -- Sermons of your Pastors. Make a daily habit of reading at least one chapter of Scripture. Try and memorize it!

9. Pray. But when you pray, don't pray about this problem, for that will tend to keep [it] in your mind more than ever. Pray for faith, pray for understanding of the Scriptures, pray for your Pastors, your friends, your families, BUT KEEP THE PROBLEM OUT OF YOUR MIND BY NOT MENTIONING IT EVER
NOT IN CONVERSATION WITH OTHERS, NOT IN YOUR PRAYERS. KEEP IT _OUT_ of your mind! The attitude of a person toward his problem has an affect on how easy it is to overcome. It is essential that a firm commitment be made to control the habit. As a person understands his reasons for the behavior, and is sensitive to the conditions or situations that may trigger a desire for the act, he develops the power to control it. Don't think about touching your tallywhacker!! DO NOT imagine how good it feels, or imagine that some slut is servicing it for you!! Think about Christ's temporary suffering on the cross at Calvary!!

As one meets with his True Christian Pastor™, a program for overcoming masturbation can be implemented using some of these suggestions. Remember it is essential that a regular report program be agreed on, so progress can be recognized and failures understood and eliminated.

TOPIC: When God Wants to Answer Your Prayer

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: When God Wants to Answer Your Prayer

TEXT: “If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!” Matthew 7:11

“If God Really Hears Me, Why Does It Feel Like He Does Not?”

Have you been praying for something? Although it might sometimes feel like God does not hear your prayer, Scripture and experience help us know that God loves to answer “yes” to the requests of His children. Sometimes His answers are not what we expect, but He promises to supply the needs of His beloved children.

God Might Answer “Yes”

The Lord wants us to seek Him. He promised, “Call to me and I will answer” (Jeremiah 33:3). The Bible instructs us to “pray in the Spirit at all times” (Ephesians 6:18). When you believe in Jesus, you become an adopted child of God. Jesus, the Son of God, told His followers to “ask the Father directly, and He will grant your request because you use My Name” (John 16:23). God loves you as one of His children! Maybe He is ready to answer “yes” to your prayer.

Powerful Prayer

When we pray, we must remember that “it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to Him must believe that God exists and that He rewards those who sincerely seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6). Jesus spoke of this faith when He said, “you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours” (Mark 11:24). But He also warned, “when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too” (Mark 11:25).

Walk in His Ways

God answers prayers, not just because His beloved children ask; God answers prayers because He knows what is best for us, and He responds to requests that honor Him, in ways that bring Him the most glory. Jesus said that “whatever you ask the Father in My Name, He may give it to you” (John 15:16), so we can do good works for the Lord. We “receive from Him whatever we ask because we obey Him” (I John 3:22)

LET US PRAY
FATHER IN JESUS NAME, LORD LET IT PLEASE YOU TO ANSWER MY PRAYER IN JESUS NAME

HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEK AHEAD IN JESUS NAME

Boko Haram demands security for members

The Islamist sect, wants guarantee of non arrest or killing of its members from the federal government in the on-going negotiation between the two sides.

Leader of the sect, Abubakar Shekau had said that the only condition the more than 200 school girls it seized in Borno would be released is for government to free Boko Haram members being held by security agencies.

President Goodluck Jonathan has ruled out swapping such high risk criminals for the girls although government seems disposed to letting go wives and kids of Boko Haram leaders and members considered to be less dangerous.

The talks are ongoing through some intermediaries including some elders from Borno State.

The sect is said to be demanding the release of some of its members in custody for the release of the girls, including those convicted.

They are also asking for a guarantee that none of their members would either be arrested or killed by the military and security agencies as being done indiscriminately at present.

Some of the members in custody, according to records released by the State Security Service (SSS), are: Ali Sanda Umar Konduga (a.k.a Usman Al-Zawahiri), who was jailed for three years in December 2011; Ismail Kwaljima (a.ka. Abu Summaya); Babagana Mali (a.k.a Bulama); and Kabiru Sokoto, who is still on trial.

Two of the Boko Haram leaders (Bashir Madalla and Habeeb Umar Bama) had died during alleged shoot-out with the JTF and security agencies.

Others are Mustapha Umar (sentenced to life imprisonment last year); H. P Bukar; Ahmad Rufai Abubakar; Muhammadu Sani Ishaq; Adamu Yusuf; Yau Said; and Anas Isah.

A suspect, Aminu Sadiq Ogwuche (who was arrested in Sudan) is expected to join the list.

The list is outside 19 Boko Haram leaders declared wanted by the JTF with N290million ransom placed on them.

A government source said: “It is extremely difficult for government to swap some of these members implicated in bomb explosions with the abducted girls.

“The terrorism Act does not allow this. The criminal justice system does not also support it. But the government may concede some waivers in respect of the wives, children, parents, brothers, uncles or relations of some of these Boko Haram members in custody.

At least, there are about 300 to 400 Boko Haram suspects in various facilities whose case files are being reviewed by relevant desks.

Immigration officer member of Boko Haram arrested, reveals names of others

Immigration officer member of Boko Haram arrested, reveals names of others

Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) officer Ahmed Grema Mohammed has confessed to being a Boko Haram member and disclosed names of security people who took part in the attacks in the North.

Mohammed was arrested in 2012 on suspicion of cooperating with the terrorists.

Year and a half later the information proved true. According to Today, the statment by the Joint Task Force spokesman, Lt. Col Sagir Musa, says that Mohammed confessed to being involved in the killings of those politicians and security agents who spoke against the insurgents' activities in Damaturu, so as in the attack on police headquarters and Damaturu prison, and several others.

The statement further reads:

"The suspect revealed to JTF that he and 15 other members of the organization were intensively trained for three months on G3 and AK 47 rifles, as well as in assassinations and special operations in Niger Republic. He also revealed names of some security personnel that participated in terrorists' attacks in Borno and Yobe states."

The people named by the NIS officer were immediately arrested.

TOPIC: Not to walk as unbelievers walk.

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Not to walk as unbelievers walk.

(Eph 4:17 KJV) This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,

We are to walk in Love.

(Eph 5:2 KJV) And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour.

We are to walk as children of His Light.

(Eph 5:8 KJV) For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

The Christian walk is much like riding a bicycle; we are either moving forward or falling off. -- Robert Tuttle

Walk in wisdom, His wisdom.

(Eph 5:15 KJV) See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,

Then we must watch our Doctrine.

(1 Tim 4:6 KJV) If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.
(1 Tim 4:13 KJV) Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
(1 Tim 4:16 KJV) Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

Nothing makes a man so virtuous as belief of the truth. A lying doctrine will soon beget a lying practice. A man cannot have an erroneous belief without by-and-by having an erroneous life. I believe the one thing naturally begets the other.

Christianity is not, and never has been, about finding the right combination of words! It is about encountering the living and loving God.

TOPIC : We must watch and desire Spiritual Gifts.

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL
. . .CONTINUE FROM YESTERDAY

TOPIC : We must watch and desire Spiritual Gifts.

(1 Cor 14:1 KJV) Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.

A. Chapter 12 and 14 of I. Corinthians is like the bread and 13th Chapter is the meat.

IV. We should watch and desire Heavenly Habitation.

A. Desire Heaven.
1. If you desire heaven you need to get ready by taking on its likeness and traits.

V. We must watch and desire Gods direction for our lives.

(Prov 16:9 KJV) A mans heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.
(Eph 4:17 KJV) This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,

A. Paul tells us how to walk in Ephesians 6 times.
B. Walk in good works.
(Eph 2:10 KJV) For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

C. Walk worthy of our calling.
(Eph 4:1 KJV) I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

1. To follow Christ is to walk with Him first into the presence of His Father. If that is so, we had better know
how to act in the divine presence now (in this present life) and then (in the life everlasting). Ultimately.

Be Watchful In All Things!

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Be Watchful In All Things!

In this morning i will point out the exhortation the Bible gives us to watch. We cannot ever have a vision if we do not have a vision. Our vision and watchfulness must be with theLord. Unless the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. Psalm 127:1

Gods Word often refers to the Christian experience as a walk, seldom as a run, and never as a mad dash. We can walk much better if we have our eyes open and have them
upon Him, our Lord.

(2 Tim 4:5 KJV) But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

I. Paul told Timothy a number of times to be watchful, here He says to watch all things.

A. Jesus said to Watch and Pray.
(Mat 26:41 KJV) Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

A. What are we to watch for when we pray?

1. The works of the flesh that keeps us from praying.
2. Are we praying the prayer of faith?
3. Are we praying according to the Will of God? The Word is His Will.
4. Are we mindful of those in need around us?
5. Do we lift us our eyes and see the ripen harvest field around us?

a. I believe the reason Jesus said to look on the fields and pray was so that He could say to us "Go Ye" when we pray.
(Mark 13:33 KJV) Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

"Excuses are the cradle ... that Satan rocks men off to sleep in". D.L. Moody

II. We need to watch our desires.

We should be like
(1 Pet 2:2 KJV) As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

A: Desire Word of God.
1. God watches over His Word.
(Jer 1:12 KJV) Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.

a. To Understand God we must know the Word of God.
1. We then can trust Gods Word. . . . CONTINUE TOMORROW

LEARN FROM JOB'S LIFE

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TEXT: The Lord gave me what I had, and the Lord has taken it away. Praise the Name of the Lord!” (Job 1:21).

When we meet Job in the Bible, he has it all: wealth, family, friends, and trust in God. But in the blink of an eye, his riches were plundered and his family wiped out. Terrible physical suffering soon followed. But his trust in God remained; he declared, “The Lord gave me what I had, and the Lord has taken it away. Praise the Name of the Lord!” (Job 1:21).
Nearly forty chapters later, after hearing from God directly, Job humbled himself before God, and prayed for his friends. Only then, “the Lord restored his fortunes. In fact, the Lord gave him twice as much as before!” (Job 42:10).

Again we see God responding and blessing in a great way, but only in His time.

An Answer to Prayer, Beyond Imagination

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

Scripture: “All glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” Ephesians 3:20

“Why is God taking so long to answer?”

Have you been praying hard for God to work in your life? Scripture tells us that God hears our prayers; yet we might wait years for His answers. Eventually, though, His response can be greater than anything we can expect.

God Might Say “Yes; Here Is More”

God promised His people, “I know the plans I have for you. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11). Many people don’t realize that God’s plan for Israel involved 70 long years of suffering under Babylonian exile. It was a good plan, but it was far from instant success. So we must trust Him, even when relief or fulfillment seem to take forever

LET US PRAY

IN JESUS NAME, THIS WEEK WILL BE A WEEK OF ANSWER TO ALL YOUR PRAYER IN JESUS NAME GOD WILL SAY YES TO YOU

Boko Haram's Source Of Weapons Revealed

After many speculations on where the Islamist militant group, Boko Haram, are getting the weapons they frequently use to unleash terror in the north-eastern states of Nigeria and Abuja, their main sources have been unveiled.
According to US network TV NBC, most of the Islamic terror group’s weapons are either stolen from Nigerian military stocks or purchased on the thriving Central African arms black market, say the experts, including current and former U.S. officials.
While many have often wondered where the insurgents source their weaponry from, given both the sophistication and the sheer number, ThisDay reports that the group blamed for last month’s kidnapping of nearly 300 Nigerian schoolgirls routinely raids police stations and military bases in search of weapons
It was also gathered that in some cases, Boko Haram sympathizers in the Nigerian military abet the theft.

“There are hints that sympathizers in the Nigerian army will deliberately leave doors of armouries unlocked for Boko Haram," said John Campbell, U.S. ambassador to Nigeria from 2004 to 2007.
It could also be recalled that a top military officer was indicted several years ago in Kaduna, for supplying the weapons of the Nigerian army to Niger Delta militants, led by, now jailed, Henry Okah.
The terror group has been conducting its campaign of terror in the northern states of Nigeria and neighboring Cameroon on the cheap, making mayhem with a makeshift collection of small arms, automatic weapons, rifles, rocket- propelled grenades and mortars, experts on the turbulent region say.
The report also stated that apart from weapons, the rebels frequently seize non-lethal equipment that helps them carry out their terror attacks, quoting one U.S. official.

Apart from benefiting from sympathizers in the Nigerian military, the Islamic terror group is said to be able to purchase small arms and occasionally some larger weaponry in nearby conflict zones, “probably Libya, probably Chad.
These arms are believed to be acquired through "shady, black market" arrangements across barely marked borders, as the official put it.
The porousness of the Nigerian borders was also said to be encouraging the proliferation of the country with illegal arms, according to Michael Leiter, a former director of the National Counter Terrorism Center and now an NBC News analyst.
"The collapse of Libya has further flooded the market,” said Leiter. "Whether these came from Chad, Nigeria, or Libya is almost irrelevant, as such arms are widely available."

Arms trade expert William M. Hartung agrees. "It's one conflict after another," he said. "Because of the nature of the conflict … the concentration of conflicts … the black market in Central Africa is more vibrant than other places.”
Campbell, the former U.S. ambassador to Nigeria, says the array of small and automatic weapons, grenades, mortars, mines and perhaps car bombs "is all Boko Haram’s soldiers need to carry out their brand of terrorism."
It could be recalled that officials in Cameroon on Tuesday showed a cache of weapons they said was seized near the Nigerian border last month following a rescue of some other kidnapped victims.
A Cameroon defense ministry spokesman, showing off a variety of weaponry including Russian-made AK-47s, said the cache represents what they are up against on a daily basis in trying to combat Boko Haram.

Are u fit for the building of holy temple?

"By Afolayan Folashade

the gospel of Jesus, made it clear to us, that God is not intrested in living in a temple built by man hands.but now, God has desided to live in a holy temple which wil b build by his own hand, and that is our body.Act17:24-28,[v24]
God that made the world and things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands. that was why in Jhn2:16-19.[v19 Jesus answered destroy this temple, and in three days i will raise it up.

Our Lives Are Examples

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Our Lives Are Examples

Scripture: "Be careful to live properly among your unbelieving neighbors. Then even if they accuse you of doing wrong, they will see your honorable behavior, and they will give honor to God."(1 Peter 2:12 )

I have a confession to make. One day while driving, I made a rude gesture to another driver who had almost caused an accident. But then I remembered that I had a church bumper sticker on my car! I had no excuse to be disrespectful anyway; but, I asked myself, how dare I be rude almost literally in Jesus’ Name?

Can’t Help Doing Wrong

Have you ever had a similar experience? If so, you’re in good company: the Apostle Paul wrote, “I don’t want to do what is wrong, but I do it anyway” (Romans 7:19 ). Only God’s saving grace through Jesus Christ allows us to be forgiven, and helps us turn away from sin. Paul goes on to advise, “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person”(Romans 12:2 ). I shouldn’t have reacted in a worldly way when I was scared; I should have followed Jesus’ example of self-control.

Light of the World

Jesus told His followers, “You are the light of the world”(Matthew 5:14). So, “we must live decent lives for all to see”(Romans 13:13). You never know when someone is watching you. If a Christian repeats the same sin over and over, what kind of testimony is that? But if you are living for Jesus, you can be a godly example to those around you – even in places where it is unsafe to talk about Him.

LET US PRAY
FATHER IN JESUS NAME, LORD GIVE US A GRACE TO ALWAYS DO WHAT IS RIGHT IN JESUS NAME. AMEN

HAVE A FULFILL DAY FRIENDS

Aminu Sadiq Ogwuche, the mastermind behind the April 14 Nyanya bombing, has been arrested in Sudan.

The news was announced by Director General of the National Orientation Agency, Mike Omeri, at the National Briefing Centre, Abuja.

Ogwuche was earlier declared wanted by the National Bureau of the Interpol based at the Nigerian Police Force Headquarters. The arrest was carried out with the joint efforts of the Army, DSS, the National Bureau of the Interpol based at the Nigerian Police Force Headquarters and security operatives of Sudan.

The security operatives are already working to ensure his extradition back to Nigeria from where he was arrested.

More details later.

Prophetess sets 9yr old daughter ablaze for allegedly being a witch

37year old prophetess Bose Oluwole (pictured above) of the Celestial Church of Christ in Epe, Lagos has been arrested by the police for allegedly setting her 9 year old daughter, Damilola, on fire. The woman said her child was possessed with witchcraft and was trying to deliver her according to God's instruction to her. She allegedly poured kerosene on the little girl's body and set it ablaze.

Damilola is currently at the Epe General Hospital where she is being treated for first degree burns in the emergency ward.

PM News reports that residents of her Ijebu-Ode Road, Odomola, Epe home where the incident happened immediately informed the police of her hideous crime. Continue...

During interrogation, she confessed to the crime but said she was only obeying the command of God
"I saw in my vision while praying that my daughter is from the witchcraft world. When I prayed to God over it, I received the instruction through Holy Spirit to burn my daughter’s body in order to deliver her from the evil society.”
She was immediately charged before an Igbosere magistrate court by the police for attempted murder but the presiding magistrate, Mrs. C. J. Momodu directed the case be transferred to a family court due to the age of the young girl. The case comes up for hearing at the Family Court on June 2nd
