Recovering lost love

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Recovering Lost Love

1 John 4:19 KJV
We love him, because he first loved us.

Today's morning meal is for all who has been hurt, cheated, heart broken, forsaken, abandoned, divorced and mistreated, by their love ones

An old African proverb says: “If you want to go fast, walk alone. If you want to go far, walk with others.” We were created to be in relationship with others; to love, to laugh, and to live together. But, there are times in life’s journey that can be extremely lonely, especially if you gave your heart to another and that person mistreated you or ignored your gift.

When Losing Love Creates Deep Wounds

When we are hurt, we long for someone to take away the pain, sooth the wounds and offer us hope. Often, those longings go unsatisfied. In our attempts to find love, we give ourselves to others over and over only to be hurt more each time.

There is an answer to the pain of lost love and dashed dreams. Hope comes through Jesus Christ, the son of God. He offers healing for the wounds you feel right now. He offers to walk with you through difficult times and laugh with you when life goes well.

Why? Jesus understands that we live in a damaged world. He knows that you bear the pain of broken relationships and shattered dreams. Your pain matters to God. He wants to free you from the hurt that rules your life and love you unconditionally.

Jesus has the power to change your reality because He took the pain and shame of our sin at the cross. He rose from the dead with the promise that we can have new life in Him.

Christ’s love is perfect and never causes harm. His love is pure and healing, washing away the pain and heartache life has dealt us.

Life and love are gifts that are meant to be shared. Share your life with Christ and experience His love first hand.

LET US PRAY
“Dear Jesus, I am sorry for the wrong things I have done. My life has been filled with hurt, but I turn those hurts over to You. I want You to be Lord and Savior of my life. Please walk with me on life’s journey. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
