TOPIC: Are You Hungry?

Text: John 6:28 - 59

When we are hungry we know by our stomachs. When we are hungry spiritually we know by our hearts. When you are hungry physically your stomach growls. When you are hungry spiritually your heart yearns for some spiritual food. If you are not hungry this morning you need to be!

A Promise to Bless Those That Are Hungry

"Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled." Mat. 5:6

These are those who are spiritual hungry...
A. After Serving God
B. After Righteousness Living - Not self-righteous
C. A desire to be in His House
D. A desire to be close to God

God has promise to fill Our Hearts

"Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness." Acts 14:17

God wants to fill us with His Spirit.
Notice our hearts and not our stomachs.
A full stomach is fulfilling but only temporary!

God's food Only For The Hungry

"Which executeth judgment for the oppressed: which giveth food to the hungry." Psa. 146:7

He will satisfy only the hungry
He will feed the hungry sheep
He said to feed my sheep

Our Balanced Meal is

A. Word of God

B. Prayer

C. Preaching

If you wake up this morning with a poor appetite it is my prayer that today's morning meal will make you to be more hungry for God's Word than physical food in Jesus name.

LET US PRAY
FATHER IN JESUS NAME, FEED ME WITH YOUR DIVINE FOOD AND SATISFY MY SOUL DAILY IN JESUS NAME
