Christ’s Sacrifice

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Christ’s Sacrifice

Text:1 Corinthians 11:23-25
For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:

24And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

25After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

A. Because of His sacrifice, our every need is met.
1. We have just finished discussing the fact that Jesus will meet our needs in this world as far as our material needs. But because of His sacrifice, He does so much more.

2. He meets the needs of our physical bodies.

3. He meets our emotional needs. Psalm 147:3 says that “He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.” Not only is God concerned
about our physical bodies, but he is concerned about our emotions, too.
He heals the emotionally scarred.

C. Jesus commands us to remember Him. Every time we share communion together, we are remembering His sacrifice—His broken body and His spilled blood. Hallelujah

Let us remember his suffering this morning and honor him by separating ourselves from sin and by living a holy life worthy of Jesus love, so that His suffering will not be in vain on us. So as for us not to be condemned for neglecting this great salvation of love.

LET US PRAY
FATHER IN JESUS NAME LET NOT YOUR SUFFERING BE IN VAIN OVER US AND KEEP US FROM CONDEMNATION OF SIN.
