Plane crash: Adeboye, Fayemi’s wife, others commiserate with Mimiko

Ondo state Government House, Alagbaka, GRA-Akure witnessed more dignitaries on Saturday as sympathizers continue to throng in to commiserate with Dr. Olusegun Mimiko and the people of the state over the death of four of the state’s officials in last Thursday plane crash that occurred in Lagos.

Barrister Deji Falae, the state’s Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Senior Protocol Officer, Daji Bernard, Ondo State’s Lagos Liaison officers, Mrs Esther Alabi and Mr Deji Afolabi died in the air mishap which had the body of Late former Governor of the state, Dr OLusegun Agagu and 16 others on board.

Among the early callers at the Government House on Saturday were representatives of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye,led by Pastor Tunji Onileaja and wife of Ekiti State Governor, Erelu Bisi Fayemi, traditional rulers from Akoko area of the State, led by Oba Akadiri Momoh, the Olukare of Ikare and chairman of the State league of Imam and Alfas, Sheik Hammed Aladesawe.

Others were the former governor of old Ondo State, Evangelist Bamidele Olumilua and the retired Bishop of Akure Diocese, Anglican communion, Rt. Rev Bolanle Gbonigi among others.

Erelu Fayemi in her condolence message described the occurrence as unfortunate and prayed that God will put an end to it. Oba Akadiri Momoh, who spoke on behalf of Akoko Obas, also described the incident as shocking and commended Governor Mimiko for deeming it fit to organise a befitting burial for late Dr. Olusegun Agagu.

In the message from Pastor Enoch Adeboye, he commended Mimiko for taking over the burial ceremony of his predecessor irrespective of party affiliation and charged him not to relent in his good work for the people.

He vowed to continue to pray for peace and development of the state. Also, the former governor of the old Ondo State, Evangelist Bamidele Olumilua, who appreciated Governor Mimiko for his love and caring heart for the people, prayed for peace and progress of the State.
