LIFE THAT PLEASES GOD

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Life that Pleases God

... CONTINUE FROM YESTERDAY

You are not practicing faith when you allow yourself to be moved by your senses, your environment or the economy. Until your heart, with its multiple desires, becomes a sanctuary for the Lord, you cannot please Him.

Do you have a heart that always desire to please God or the god of this world?
When you have a heart that pants for God like David’s, he will grant you, a heart richly imbued with divine wisdom and knowledge. If God should tell you to ask for one thing, what would it be?

King Solomon asked for wisdom and this pleased God (1Kings.3:10).

Only Christians who fear God can please Him (Psalms.147:10-11).

Aside from having a holy awe and reverence for the Lord, to fear God also means to stay away from evil. Glorify Him internally and externally, in all your private and public conducts. When you fear God, you will seek to fulfill His will in everything that you do. Is God’s will in that business or relationship that you are having?

You must fear God to the point where you are ready to let go of everything and anything that will separate you from Him.

Humility is another quality that you must possess if you are to please God. (Psalms.51:16-17). Be real, confess your weaknesses and sins before God and humbly ask Him to help you. Don’t pretend to be what you are not.

Pleasing God is a life of total surrender that involves your faith, your heart, a reverential fear of Him, and the right spiritual attitude of humility

LET US PRAY
FATHER IN JESUS NAME, DEAL WITH EVERY PART OF ME THAT WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO PLEASE YOU IN JESUS NAME
