BEWARE OF FALSE PROPHET...continue

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: BE WARE OF FALSE PROPHET...continue

Text: Jeremiah 5:30-31 KJV
A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land; [31] The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?

The false prophet will seem as though he is theologically sound. The false prophet will use the Bible. It always amazes me when people defend false teachers in our day by saying, “I know that this man is truly of God because he just preaches from the Bible.” All of the major heretics in the history of the Church used the Bible to support their teaching, and they still do.
The false prophet doesn’t come to us saying, “Throw away your Bible,
The false teacher may have the reputation of being a great Bible scholar, with many theological degrees attached to the end of his name. The false prophet will use all of the same words that those who are sound in theology will use.

Jeremiah 14:14 KJV
Then the Lord said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.

The false teacher will talk a great deal about God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, salvation, grace, faith, living the Spirit-filled life, and living in communion with God. But if you listen closely to the false prophet you will find that when he uses those words he means something entirely different than what we mean when we use those words. False teachers have redefined those words and concepts. Theological liberalism has incredible capacity to use all these words that we use and recast them in totally different forms than their traditional meanings.
We often wonder how theological liberals could stand in church each Sunday and confess that they believe what is taught in the Nicene Creed and the Apostles’ Creed.

I used to believe that they said those words with their fingers crossed behind their backs, but they don’t have to do that. All they have to do is redefine the words and the concepts. Many theological liberals can say that they believe what is taught in the creeds, but only in a metaphorical, rather than a literal sense.
Matthew 24:11 KJV
And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
They can continue to parade themselves as Christian ministers, professing to believe what the Bible says, while at the same time denying what the Church has always taught about our fundamental beliefs. Don’t be deceived by their language. The false prophet will probably be using the same language that you and I use.

LET US PRAY
FATHER SAVE US BY YOUR TRUTH FROM ALL FALSE AND FAKE IJN

FALSE PROPHET

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: BEWARE OF FALSE PROPHET

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.(Matt. 7:15-20)

When our Lord warns us to beware of false prophets, he is speaking to us about a group of the most dangerous of all kinds of people. Whereas a murderer might take away the physical life of a person, a false prophet destroys the eternal souls of people.

A false prophet is a false teacher. Don’t let the word “prophet” confuse you. We normally think of a prophet as someone who predicts the future, but in the Bible the prophet might predict the future, but the basic duty of the prophet was to speak the word of God.

Anyone who speaks on behalf of God, teaching others the word of God, is, in that sense, acting as a prophet.

A prophet is someone who simply claims to be preaching God’s truth. Our Lord alerts us to beware, to be on our guard, because these false prophets, these false teachers, may not be easy to detect.

The false prophet does not come to us as a wolf who is seeking to destroy us. The false prophet appears as one of the sheep. As you know, one of the metaphors that our Lord frequently uses to describe his own followers is that of sheep. “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me” (John 10:27). ” When a false prophet comes into our midst, he comes as one of the sheep, and, on the surface, he looks and behaves like one of the sheep.

When our Lord warns us to beware of false prophets, he is not warning us to beware of atheists, agnostics, Buddhists, Hindus, and Muslims. They do not claim to be teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. The false prophet, on the other hand, claims to be a follower of Jesus Christ and claims to be a true, reliable teacher of the word of God. The Apostle Paul warned the Ephesians about the presence of false teachers in their midst, using this comparison to wolves. In Acts 20:28-30, Paul warns the pastors of the church, “ Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them” (Acts 20:28-30).

The wolves may infiltrate the church from the outside, or they may spring up from within the local church itself. They will be friends, neighbors, people considered brothers and sisters in Christ, but they will be wolves who will destroy the sheep

STEP TO PROSPERITY PT 3

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: STEP TO PROSPERITY PT 3

STEP 3: Your Emotions

The Word of God will lead you to start thinking thoughts that are in line with the Word. And thinking that lines up with the Word will produce emotions that line up with the Word.

God gave us emotions. They are a gift. Jesus had emotions. The Bible says He was touched with the feeling of our infirmities (Hebrews 4:15). It is fine to have emotions…but we must make sure that emotions never have us.

Emotions are feelings caused by pain or pleasure that will direct you or move you in a direction. God has given you emotions. If you don’t learn how to control them, they will move you to places you don’t need to go.

If the devil’s going to move you out of the will of God where prosperity is concerned, then he’s going to do it by enticing your emotions. He tried to do that with Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane. Jesus was sweating blood because He was “deeply distressed” (Mark 14:33, New International Version). He was resisting, not allowing His emotions to take charge.

As Jesus resisted, the King James Version says He “went forward” (verse 35) and kept praying. When your emotions try to move you out of God’s will, do like Jesus and keep moving forward. Keep doing God’s will, regardless of how you feel.

You have authority over your emotions.

LET US PRAY
IN JESUS NAME, FATHER LORD GIVE US THE RIGHT EMOTION THAT LEAD TO YOUR WILL IN JESUS NAME

STEP TO PROSPERITY PT2

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: STEP TO PROSPERITY PT2

STEP 2: Your Thinking

If you ask people why they read the Bible, they’ll give you all kinds of answers. But the reason you should read your Bible is because it governs your thinking. It shows you what type of mind-set you should have. And that’s the second step in this process: Word thinking, or prosperous thinking.

III John 1 states, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” The prosperity of your life is based on the prosperity of your soul—that is, your mind, will and emotions.

You will be as you think. Proverbs 23:7 says, “As [a man] thinketh in his heart, so is he.” If you think you’re going to be poor all your life, you probably will be. If you think you’re going to break out of this financial situation, then you’ll break out of it.

Consider how you think. Do you have a lack mentality? A poverty mentality? A sickness mentality? A mentality of defeat? You’ve got to look at your thinking and what influences your thinking, because everything that’s going on in your life can be traced back to how you think.

LET US PRAY
FATHER IN JESUS NAME CONTINUE TO DIRECT OUR THINKING TOWARDS RIGHT WAY IN JESUS NAME

STEPS TO PROSPERITY

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: STEPS TO PROSPERITY

STEP 1.The Word of God

The Word of God. This is where everything in the process starts. If you’re going to end up at Destination: Prosperity Overflow, you’re going to have to start with the Word. “In the beginning was the Word” (John 1:1).

The Word is the incorruptible seed, the seed that will always produce, the seed that will never fail. It is the origin for all prosperity—the gateway to the blessings of God. We can’t achieve prosperity without it.

Prosperity is Word-determined, not money-determined. No matter what we give, our money won’t have a future if it’s not backed up by a “Word seed,” that is, a revelation from the Word of God. It’s the Word seed that causes that money seed to increase. So many of us want to give a money seed, but we don’t have a Word seed. And so we release the money seed without any force behind it.

For instance, imagine a preacher who has never experienced a financial breakthrough. When the offering comes, he always puts something in, but things never get better for him. Why? Because even though he gave a money seed, he never received a revelation from the Word concerning his financial breakthrough. He planted the money seed, but it had no future without the Word seed.

It’s the Word of God, the Word seed, which determines prosperity in every area of life. Word seed will prosper you when the doctor tells you you’re sick. Word seed will prosper you when you feel like you’re about to lose your mind. Word seed will prosper your marriage when things seem down and out.

The process to Destination: Prosperity Overflow starts with the Word.

LET US PRAY
IN JESUS NAME. LORD TEACH US TO PROPER IN YOUR WAY

WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR DOUBTS

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR DOUBTS

Should a Christian have doubts, not only doubts about salvation but, we find, many times, that we doubt a lot of things. We are encouraged in the scripture not to doubt and yet we are human and we have doubts. Many times, we think if we doubt we are not Christians, if we doubt it is a sign we have no faith.

I want to encourage you today and tell you that we have many examples in the Bible of those who doubted and yet defeated their doubts. You don't have to be defeated by doubt, you can defeat doubt.

In Mark 9, we have the story of a father who brings his sick boy to the Lord. As he brings this sick boy to the Lord, he does have faith and yet he has a faith that is mixed with doubt.

He makes a statement here in verse 24 that I think all of us can identify with.

Mark 9:23 – Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

(24) And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

Then Jesus went on, of course, and healed the boy. But notice this statement, "Lord, I believe, but help thou my unbelief" and how the father makes this statement with tears. Theirs is great emotion here, emotion because of concern for his child, emotion because he did believe in the Lord and yet the problem was so difficult, it seemed like uncrossable a river. It seemed like an insurmountable mountain and yet, he said, "I do believe, yet there is unbelief in my heart. The problem is so difficult. The thing is so big. I know you can do it, but help that unbelief in my heart

In the book of James, we're cautioned about praying with doubt. We are encouraged to pray without doubt. In James 1:6, the Bible says that if you ask the Lord for something with doubt that you are like a wave that's tossed. You are like a reed that's shaken in the wind.

LET US PRAY
FATHER IN JESUS NAME FILL OUR HEART WITH DIVINE FAITH OF JESUS CHRIST.

Nigerian Soldiers Have Captured Boko Haram Leader in Borno

Wednesday, September 17, 2014 was a particularly bad day for stubborn Boko Haram terrorists operating in the North East as they lost scores of their members during repeated attempts to enter Konduga, about 70 kilometres to Maiduguri.

But the icing on the cake of Nigerian troop’s victory of the day was capture of “a high ranking terrorists’ leader” who was seriously wounded and is currently being treated in a military medical facility.

Military sources informed PRNigeria that the terrorists leader

whose name is still being kept a secret was captured after the second but more fierce battle waged by the group of insurgents to capture the town following their earlier routing by the military.

Among those captured yesterday in battles where over 60 terrorists were wiped off the face of the earth.

Faith

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: THE ENOCH FAITH

Heb 11:5. Faith made Enoch walk with God,
"By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death; he could not be found, because God had taken him away. For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God" (Hebrews 11:5, NIV).

In Genesis it says, "And after he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked with God 300 years and had other sons and daughters.

23Altogether, Enoch lived 365 years. 24Enoch walked with God; then he was no more, because God took him away" (Genesis 5:22-24).

Your walk will change if you continue to trust in Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:17 says, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" (NIV).

Enoch pleased God. Is God pleased with you?
Is God pleased with the person you chose in marriage ?

Is God pleased with the books you read?
with what you watch on T.V.?

Is God pleased with the words you use?
the conversations you have?

Is God pleased with the plans you''ve made for your future?

Enoch's walk of faith delivered him from death.

Your walk of faith has already delivered you from death, the death called damnation if
Your faith is in Jesus;

therefore, there is no death that can come to you if it is not spiritual death, you are an overcomer

Seven Characteristics of a True Servant of God -

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Seven Characteristics of a True Servant of God -

In Malachi 2:1-3, Malachi's message is to the priests. It was like saying, "I am not speaking to the congregation. I am speaking to the leaders who are sitting on the platform." "Take it to heart", the Lord says, "Honor my name or I will bring a terrible curse against you. I will curse even the blessings you receive. Indeed, I have already cursed them, because you have not taken my warning seriously. I will rebuke your descendants and splatter your faces with the dung of your festival sacrifices, and I will add you to the dung heap."

These prophets were not gentle, nice preachers who stood behind ornamented pulpits and said pleasant things to make people happy. They used strong words. How would you feel if a preacher came and told you, "I'll splatter your faces with dung"? These prophets spoke strongly because things were so bad in Israel.

Being nice and gracious and kind is all right in personal conversation. But when you stand up to speak God's word you have to be as a lion. You must be a lion in the pulpit and a lamb outside. That is what I would recommend to all preachers. That's how Jesus was. He used strong words. And then Malachi said, "You will know that I was sent by God with this warning."

In Malachi 2:5,6, Malachi compared the Levites of his time with the Levites of old. And today the Lord reminds us of how the first apostles were, how they left everything to follow the Lord. "Compare yourself with them," He says to us. The Lord says, "The purpose of My covenant with the Levites was to bring life and peace. This was what I gave them; and this called for reverence from them - and they did greatly revere Me." Notice in verses 5 and 6,

seven qualities that characterised those early Levites - characteristics that should be true of every servant of God.

1. They reverenced God.
Reverence for God is the ABC of wisdom.

2. They had a concern for God's name.
Our Lord taught us to pray, "Hallowed be Thy name." We must have a great longing for the name of Jesus to be honoured and respected in our land.

3. They preached all of God's truth.
Many preachers do not preach the whole counsel of God, because that would make them unpopular. So they become compromisers. A preacher was once invited for meetings to a place where he was to be the sole speaker. A week before the meetings he was to commence, the organisers wrote to him requesting that he must not speak on the topic of water baptism at any of the meetings, lest it offend some of the people. He wrote back saying that in that case they would have to find another preacher. He told them that he could not accept an invitation to speak anywhere, if he was going to be told what to speak and what not to speak. As a servant of the Lord, he would have to speak whatever the Lord laid on his heart.

4. They hated sin.
They did not lie or cheat. There was a hatred for sin in their hearts.

5. They walked with God.
They safeguarded their daily walk with God.

6. They lived uprightly.
In everything in their life - the way they handled money, the way they conducted themselves, etc., - they were upright, without any crookedness.

7. They turned many from sin.
In those two verses, we have a beautiful description of what a true preacher should be like.
"The priests' lips should guard knowledge, and people should go to them for instruction, for the priests are the messengers of the LORD" (Mal 2:7).

We must go to the Lord first and receive His Word and only then go to the people and give them His Word. A messenger must have God's word in his mouth.

But those Levites, like many today, had left God's paths, corrupted His covenant and caused people to stumble by their preaching (Mal 2:8,9). WATCHOUT FOR THEM !

LET US PRAY
FATHER IN JESUS NAME, HELP ALL YOUR MINISTERS TO STAY TUNE TO HEAVEN AND HOLY SPIRIT IN JESUS NAME AMEN

Cultists Kill Roast & Eat 9 Year Old Boy in Minna

The Nigerian Tribune is reporting an unusual cult group which specializes in eating roasted human flesh in Kuso Village in Lavun Local Government Area, Minna in Niger state has been apprehended by the Niger state police force according to the website, Crime & Security.

The cult group which comprises of an aged grandmother, Fatima and her accomplices Tetengi (male) and one Aminatu, were arrested for murdering a nine year old boy, Umar, roasting the body and eating it.

Prior to the victim’s murder, his father, Mohammed (surname withheld) had placed him in care of his mother, Fatima, pending his arrival from a short journey within the state – however, things turned out unexpected.

A police source at the Homicide unit of the Criminal Investigation Department, Niger State Police Command headquarters, Minna, disclosed that Fatima, who happens to be the first suspect, gave the boy to the second suspect, Tetengi with an understanding to slaughter the boy and share his body among the three of them which included Aminatu.

Investigations by the police revealed the victim was slaughtered by Tetengi, who roasted the boy and shared his body with Fatima and Aminatu as planned. Upon his return from his trip with no trace of his son, the victim’s father reported the case at the Bida Divisional Police Headquarters, to unravel the mystery behind the disappearance of the nine-year-old boy. The Police commenced preliminary investigation into the matter after which the arrests of the three suspects were made and the case was transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department of the state police command.

The suspects confessed to the crime during interrogation by the homicide detectives adding that human flesh was tastier than those of animals. The Police Public Relations Officer, Niger State Police Command, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ibrahim Abiodun Gambari, confirmed the incident saying

“the three suspects confessed to the crime upon interrogation and were charged to court on first information report forthe offence of criminal conspiracy, culpable homicide, cannibalism and killing of an innocent citizen, an offence punishable under the law.”

WHAT HAPPEN WHEN WE PRAISE GOD?

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

Topic: WHEN WE PRAISE GOD

When we praise God this are what we should expect...
1. God’s glory: 2 Chronicles 15:13-14. Praise is what attracts the cloud of God’s glory. Do you still remember the experience of the children of Israel in the wilderness? During the day the pillar of cloud was there to direct and protect them. To bring this same cloud down over your life, you must give God praise. And when the cloud is full, it will bring forth the rain of God’s blessing. What makes the cloud full is your praise. Is your cloud full? The rain is not falling because the cloud is not yet full. Increase your lifestyle of praise and you will begin to experience the rain of glory.

2. God’s backing: The account in 2 Chronicles 20:20 is still a mystery. How on earth could you go to battle against five fearful nations with instruments of praise? Confronting ammunitions with trumpets and Cymbals? This is imbalance. God is the only one that can do this. You better humble yourself and develop a heart of continual praise before the devil humbles you with irreversible calamity. Invisible battles are won in the atmosphere of praises.

3. God’s deliverance: Acts 16:25. What praise does is to deliver you from trouble and in trouble. What do you do in the midnight hour of your destiny? There’s no prison door that God cannot open. Were there no prisoners there before Paul and Silas came in? Their prison doors remained locked because their mouth was also locked. Loose your mouth in praise and your prison doors will be opened.

Everywhere God finds praise, He comes down. Why not begin to live a life of praise! Appreciate every little thing that God does in your life; sing hymns and psalms to Him. When faith, prayer and miracles fail, praise never fails. It is eternal. Even when we get to heaven, the only thing we will be left doing is praise.

LET US PRAY
Father in Jesus name, let your praises continually be in our mouth. Amen

POWER OF PRAISES

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: POWER OF PRAISES

TEXT: PSALM 149:1-9

Psalm 150:6 KJV
Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord . Praise ye the Lord .
Praises is God’s favourite delicacy, and anytime you give him praises you are in for a Raise.
God inhabit the praises of his people, so if you will attract the intervention of’ God, praise must never depart from your mouth.
If God lives in praise, it therefore means that He “dies” in murmuring and complaining. The only environment that makes God powerless is the environment of complaints. Are you not the one delaying your miracle? You have complained and murmured over the years not knowing you are rendering God powerless over your life. If you will start to give God praise today, you will start to experience a raise in every area of your life.

LET US PRAY
FATHER IN JESUS NAME, TEACH US TO PRAISE YOU WHOLE HEATEDLY IN TRUTH AND IN HOLINESS. AMEN
