Turning the Heart of Your “King”
when a husband is unrepentant over moral failure

I often direct these women to read the Book of Esther and to see her life as an example to follow in this situation. Queen Esther was married to a very ungodly man. He was willing to allow her whole family to be destroyed. This situation is really what most of the women who ask this question are facing. They’re married to men who are living ungodly lives and who are willing to allow their family to be destroyed while they sit back and do nothing.

What could Esther do in this situation? Was she hopeless? Did she just sit back and hope that somehow God would change her husband’s heart? No, she devised a Godly plan of action. This solution didn’t come from worry and fret; it came from days of fasting and seeking God’s help. Esther sought God with all her heart and with an attitude of total surrender to God’s will, whatever the outcome.

Now, do I think that Esther didn’t worry at all? I’m sure that as a human being and as a woman who cared for her family, she did struggle with these feelings and concerns—but they didn’t prevail in her heart. Faith prevailed—a faith strong enough to carry out the plan that God gave her.

There are a number of things that Esther and her cousin Mordecai did in response to the situation that God used to bring freedom to their people. These are concepts that a wife should consider when responding to a husband who does ungodly things and when facing the needs of a family about to be destroyed.

FAST AND SEEK THE LORD

When faced with the plans for the destruction of her people, Esther began a fast herself and called for a fast among her people. This was no wimpy fast—it was a fast of three days. “Fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king” (Esther 4:16).

Esther did not ask the people to fast for her ungodly husband, and she did not fast for him. She called for a fast for herself. She needed a plan! She needed to hear God’s voice about what she needed to do.

Many times I meet women who say they are fasting for God to change their husbands, and I tell them that this focus is wrong. They need to be fasting for God to change them. We need to give up on tying to change anyone except ourselves. A key to your husband finding brokenness is you finding it in your own life. Taking your eyes off how you have been wronged and realizing your own sin will cast you on Jesus, your only hope.

A WOMAN TELL A STORY BETWEEN HERSELF AND HER HUSBAND. READ.... The story of my husband Paul coming clean really starts with me fasting. I had fasted for Paul in the past, but now the focus was on my own life. After 13 years of frustration in my marriage, I began to become desperate. Paul and I had just gone through the John Regier counseling material, and Paul once again seemed to not have any problems, so I assumed I was the whole problem. All the marriage counselors and pastors had been telling me that for years anyway, so I began to fast and asked God to free me from whatever had me bound.

I realized that I could not change Paul, but I could ask God to change me. Bitterness was the first issue that really came to the surface. As I fasted, I realized the stronghold was much stronger than I had ever imagined. I was completely unable to help Paul remove sin from his life, because I had so much in my own.

God spoke to me through Matthew 7:3–5: “Why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.” As I began to pray about the bitterness in my own life, my focus came off of Paul and onto myself and my sin. Fasting was the first step towards freedom for Paul and me. As I became free from bitterness, God was free to use me as a light in Paul’s life to draw him to the truth. I had to get out of the way!

A lot of women tell me they’ve tried to fast but can’t do it. When you get desperate, you can do a lot of things you think you can’t do, and fasting is one of them. Fasting is never easy because it’s brings death to the flesh, and the flesh never wants to die. “The flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would” (Galatians 5:17).

Fasting puts down the flesh and strengthens the spirit so that you can hear what God wants to speak to you. It is saying to your body and your mind, “I don’t want you to be in control, I want my spirit to be in control.” God instructs us to “walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” (Galatians 5:16). According to Isaiah 58, fasting also frees us from bondage. “Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?” (Isaiah 58:6).

SPEND TIME IN PRAYER

We can picture the earnest prayers of Esther, her servants, Mordecai, and all the Jewish people who took part in the fast. So much depended on the outcome of Esther’s presentation to the king, and she needed divine strength to act against the laws of the land and go to the king without a formal summons to his presence.

Praying seems simple enough. We all know we need to pray, but I want to remind you that prayer is not just talking to God—prayer is also letting God talk to you. Supplication to the Lord is a part of prayer, but you also need to allow God to speak to you and reveal His requests for you. We are to pray without ceasing as we go throughout the day attending to children and caring for everyday needs, but you still need a time to pray when you set aside all your duties and just seek the heart of God.

Have your Bible with you during these times of prayer so that if a verse comes to your mind, you can look it up and allow God to speak to you through it. Often I have found that as I sit quietly before the Lord in the spirit of prayer, thoughts come to me that I have never thought before. Many times these thoughts provide the answer to a question I have been asking.

CRY OUT TO THE LORD FOR HELP

When Mordecai heard of the decree against the Jewish people, he tore his clothes, put on sackcloth and ashes, and cried out with a loud voice. “When Mordecai perceived all that was done, Mordecai rent his clothes, and put on sackcloth with ashes, and went out into the midst of the city, and cried with a loud and bitter cry” (Esther 4:1).

When your heart is desperate, it’s hard to simply pray a quick, soft prayer—you are more likely to cry out with emotion and passion! God promises to hear these cries for help, to work, and to receive glory for rescuing us in the midst of despair. “Call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me” (Psalm 50:15).

The Power of Crying Out by Bill Gothard has been a powerful influence in my life as I have learned the difference between prayer (requests and supplication) and a cry to the Lord. It’s not the tone of the voice that makes the difference, it is the desperation of the heart. The example of a man who has fallen into a deep pit helped me understand this concept. This man doesn’t speak in a low voice and calmly ask for help. He desperately screams for help. There are times of desperate need in our lives when we call out to God in the same way.

SURRENDER TO THE LORD

Esther was surrendered to God’s will and purposes, and she knew that she might have to give up her life to see them fulfilled. She was willing to give her all to obey the Lord and to walk in His ways. I believe this was the most important step Esther took. She said and meant, “If I perish, I perish” (Esther 4:16).

We as women have to come to this point of surrender. We have to be willing to “die” and give up our lives to the Lord, as Esther was willing to die for her family. Every woman’s point of “death” will be different.

Ask God, and He will show you where you need to die. Your area of surrender may be different from mine. One woman felt that she was to keep her mouth shut—that was her death. Another was to be sexually intimate with her husband when she hated it, another felt she was to stop interfering with her husband’s discipline of their children, and some women have to die by learning how to confront their husbands about their sin.

As brothers and sisters in Christ we are called to reprove, rebuke, and expose sin in each other’s lives. (See II Timothy 4:2 and Hebrews 3:13.) Holding each other accountable is to be done without hypocrisy and in a spirit of genuine love, and this must come after prayer, fasting, and crying out to the Lord. It must come out of a spirit of love and concern for your family and not out of bitterness for how you have been mistreated.

Don’t say, “Well I can’t do it until I get my attitude right, so I guess I may never do it.” My dear friend, this doesn’t need to take days! Repent of your bitterness, ask God for grace to carry out the plan He is giving you, and move on. Don’t let the enemy of procrastination keep you from doing what you need to do. This really isn’t about you; it’s about your children. Keep reminding yourself of that.

SERVE AND APPEAL TO YOUR HUSBAND

Esther diligently sought the Lord, and He enabled her to effectively present her appeal. You must ask God for a plan on how you can serve your “king” in order to gain his heart and present your appeal.

“If it seem good unto the king, let the king and Haman come this day unto the banquet that I have prepared for him” (Esther 5:4). It was from the place of service that Esther was able to make her appeal. As she served the king, she gained his attention. He was now ready to listen to her heart.

Appeal to Your Husband
Ladies: fast, pray, cry out to the Lord, surrender to Him, and serve your husband. Once you have done these things, God will give you a plan of appeal just like He gave to Esther. He granted her wisdom to know how to serve the king in order to capture his attention. She needed him to be willing to hear her appeal, to listen to her heart, and to respond in order to save her family from destruction.

What is your appeal? “Honey, we need help. Can we please seek help? I see these problems, and they are destroying our children and our marriage.”

Ask questions of your husband and his struggles, and make sure you are not hiding anything yourself. You need to tell your husband if you are seeking counsel and help, because it is wrong for you to hide anything. He needs to know that you are seeking help for your problems.

DO NOT GROW WEARY

The other day I spoke with a woman and told her these things, and she responded by saying, “I’ve tried all this and nothing works.” I know this woman well, and I am assured that she has tried it all, but never for more than a few days. After giving it a small chance, she’s back to her old ways of speaking to her husband with bitterness and dishonor in her voice.

Sometimes it takes time. Be willing to go through day after day and to trust God with the outcome. Ladies, God has to change us, just as He must change our husbands. We have to cry out for that change, we have to beg God to help us become women of God like Esther. He is willing to change us and to equip us in the path that we are traveling. Will we accept His truth and His grace at work in us to transform our hearts?

“He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:6).

HOW TO CONTROL YOUR SEXUAL URGES AS A SINGLE

Accept Sexual Urge is Normal

Sexual urges are not sinful or wrong. Whether as a man or woman, you are wired to think about sex. Don’t be ashamed of feeling this way. The first step to controlling your sexual urges would be to first acknowledge and accept them as a physical need that seeks fulfilment. In accepting our sexual desires, we are in a better position to keep our feelings in check.

Prepare to Be Tempted

The battle to be celibate is real and an intense one. We live in a culture that has totally believes sex is to be given and taken freely. Apart from external forces, your body will be tempted to want to indulge. Your peers will think you need to “join in on the fun.” These are normal and how you react to them are important.

Avoid triggers

We are surrounded with obvious signs and sexual innuendos; TV, Social Media, Porn, etc. Identify what can trigger your sexuality and when you know what, when and where you mostly think about sex, you can work hard to steer clear of them. If being alone in a room with a member of the opposite sex brings thoughts of sex, avoid such situations.

Thought Management

Once you identify your thoughts are drifting to sex matters, understand that you can distract yourself. Engage your mind on other things other than sex for such thoughts to vanish. If you find yourself thinking about sex every time you are in bed, you can make a habit of reading in bed so as to divert such thoughts. If you are in class or meeting, start taking notes once you notice your mind is drifting. All in all, don’t beat yourself up for thinking about sex; it’s normal – but don’t let it control you.

Stay busy

Being busy channels your mind away from the urges. If you really need to relax, engage in activities that don’t require a lot of energy such as reading a novel or watching a movie. The aim is to fill up your free time such that you don’t start thinking about sex. Look for ways to turn that sexual urge into creative energy. You can decide to cook, sing, or mend that shirt you love so much. Just as you would channel your anger to something else, so can you channel your sexual desires on other things that excite you.

Don't forget that your body is the temple of God. Keep it holy and wait for that glorious and fun night with that lucky fellow you fall in love with

UNFAITHFULNESS

Hos. 5:6,7 - When they go with their flocks and herds to seek the Lord they will not find him, he has withdrawn from them. They were unfaithful to the Lord, they will give birth to illegitimate children. NOw their New Moon festivals will devour them and their fields."

You can't imagine what evil we do to ourselves when we are not faithful to the lord,

UNFORGIVENESS

Jesus said, "When you stand praying, If you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive your sins." (Mark 11:25

Jesus said, "If you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins." (Matt 6;14)

James 5:16- The fervent, effectual, energeo prayer of the righteous man avails much.

are there people in your heart now whom you have not forgiven from your heart how much longer will you keep them in your heart and be hurt. Let God and let go

As we continue from our point of hindrances to prayer, I will give more 3 point today.

LOSING HEART
Luke 18:1-3 says, "Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up."
In no circumstances should you give up, hold on tight to the lord in your faith and he will surprise you soon.

PRAYING CONTRARY TO GOD'S WILL

I John 5:14,15 says, "This is the confidence we have in approaching God that if we ask anything according to His will, he hears us. And we know that we have the petitions because we ask according to His will."
God answer only prayers that is in line with his will for our life, so when you ask, make sure you ask in accordance with God's will for you life

REFUSAL TO HELP THE POOR

Prov. 21:13 says, "If a man shuts his ears to the cry of the poor, he too will cry out and not be answered."
This verse of the Bible is a very powerful and self explanatory, you need no one to tell you that you have to be a helper in your own little way so as to attract divine help.

IDOLATRY HINDERS PRAYER

Jeremiah writes, "They have returned to the sins of their forefathers, who refused to listen to my words. They have followed other gods to serve them..."I will bring on them a disaster they cannot escape. Although they cry unto me, I will not listen to them." (Jer. 11:10,11)

IMPROPER HUSBAND-WIFE RELATIONSHIP

I Pet 3:7,8 says, "Husbands in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers."

INSINCERITY

Deut 4:29 says, "But if from there you seek the Lord your God you will find Him if you look for Him with all your heart and with all your soul."

These and other reason are why your prayers are hindered. Consider them and make you way right before the lord.

Failure to Heed God’s Law -

Prov. 28:9 says, "If anyone turns a deaf ear to the law, even his prayers are detestable."

Jesus said, "He who has my commandments and keeps them he it is who loves me and I will love Him and will disclose myself to him and show him things to come." (John 14:21)

Failure to remain in Christ -

John 15:7 says, "If you abide in me and my word abides in you ask whatever you wish and it will be done for you."

2 Pet 3:18 says, "Grow in grace and in the knowledge (intimate fellowship and communion) with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."

God is calling you to obey him and remain in him for he alone is sufficient for you on all that your heart desire for with God All things are possible and he is the rewarder of them that deligently seek him

DOUBT

James 1:6,7 says, "But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord. He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

SELFISHNESS

James 4:1-4 "You do not get because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive because you spend it on your own pleasures."

Mark 10:45 - Even the Son of man did not come to be served but to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many."

WRONG MOTIVATIONS

James 4:3-5 "Do you know that friendship with the world makes one an enemy with God. You ask with wrong motives that you may spend it on your pleasures."

Do you not know that each of us will be judged on the basis of our motives. Only God is able to judge the thoughts and intents of our hearts by the use of His word. (Heb. 4:12)

Allow God’s word to realign your motives with His motivations (His glory, His love and His great commission)

This character or spirit call disobedience is one powerful thing that can hinder prayer and hide God's face from us

Micah 3:4 says, "Then they will cry out to the Lord, but he will not answer them. At that time he will hide his face from them because of the evil they have done."

Lam 3:43,44 says, "We have sinned and rebelled and you have not forgiven... You have covered yourself with a cloud so that no prayer can get through."

God hate disobedience, when he commanded us and we refuse he is bitter about it and not happy, this is why many of us surfer setback in our life and archivement, what is it that God want from you and you are disobeying, the lord is calling you to a life of obedient now and repentance, you will see that his hands are not shotten to save.

Paul wrote, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God that passes human comprehension will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." (Phil. 4:6,7)

Jesus said, "The Gentiles worry about food, clothes, shelter but seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you as well." (Matt 6:24-33)

Worry is like a rocking chair. It gives you something to do but you never get anywhere.

This week as you go about your work life have faith and worry less.

TOPIC: Arrow of devourer.

This kind of arrow is sent to attack somebody’s wealth and properties. It can come as a result of sudden mishap resulting in great loses, or a collapse of business with great shortage.

Job 1:13-19: And there was a day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house: And there came a messenger unto Job, and said, The oxen were plowing, and the asses feeding beside them: And the Sabeans fell upon them, and took them away; yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the camels, and have carried them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house: And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.

- This arrow entered into Job’s life and all he had labored for over several years were ruined within a shot period of time.

- Other manifestations of this type of arrow is for somebody to be making money, but unable to have good accountability for the money, or whenever somebody who has been saving money for something good and an unexpected bad thing happen that will warrant the diversion of his savings.

- One way God promised to rebuke devourer for our sake is through our faithfulness in paying tithes and offerings. Malachi 3:8-12:

... And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field,
... saith the LORD of hosts. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.

TOPIC: Arrow of character-disorder

This arrow is making people to misbehave when there is no reason for it or where they should not have misbehaved.

John 13:2: And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him;

John 13:26-27: Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon. And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.

- This arrow was shot against Judas, and he made a move of betraying his master for monetary gain. Under normal circumstances, Judas would not have thought of doing that. But under the influence of this satanic arrow he did it and forfeit the kingdom of God. Many people have lost great opportunity and blessings due to the influence of this arrow.

- We can also see the case of Vashti, who lost the kingdom due to misbehavior. Esther 1:10-12: On the seventh day, when the heart of the king was merry with wine, he commanded Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, and Abagtha, Zethar, and Carcas, the seven chamberlains that served in the presence of Ahasuerus the king, To bring Vashti the queen before the king with the crown royal, to shew the people and the princes her beauty: for she was fair to look on. But the queen Vashti refused to come at the king's commandment by his chamberlains: therefore was the king very wroth, and his anger burned in him.

- No one could understand why Vashti under a joyful celebration would refuse the king’s request. The king thought of showing off with her beauty, a thing that should make Vashti to feel high and honoured, yet she refused and lost the kingdom. I see this as a satanic arrow against her glory, although it works for the good of Esther and consequently for the good of the whole Jews. This is because God can move through any situation to show goodness to His own people.

TOPIC: Arrow of confusion and division.

- This arrow is capable of separating chief friends. Acts 15:36-41: And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they do. And Barnabas determined to take with them John, whose surname was Mark. But Paul thought not good to take him with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work. And the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed asunder one from the other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed unto Cyprus; And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by the brethren unto the grace of God. And he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the churches.

- Paul and Barnabas called to work together by the Holy Spirit were actually doing fine in the work committed unto them, until this arrow of division came against them. The argument became so sharp that they could no longer work together and has to choose another companion for themselves.

- This type of arrow can also cause division in marriages. Husband and wife that have been enjoying their lives together according to the plan of God will suddenly begin to work against each other due to hatred and bitterness caused by the arrow of division. Whenever contentions become so sharp in the home of a believer, this arrow should be recognized and sent back to the sender, before leading to breakages of homes.

- There can also be division among family members, the father or mother against the child, a brother or sister against another or even division or disunity in the church of God. The brethren rising up against one another or against their leaders or sometimes strong clashes among leadership leading to breakages and the starting up of new local assemblies. All these are not the mind of God for us. But if we fail to recognize this arrow and use our authority against it, God will not be responsible for any damages recorded.

LET US PRAY
Let the fire of the Holy Ghost destroy any arrow of division or confusion against your home, family and local congregation in Jesus name.

Psalm 91:5

When an arrow of affliction is sent to a target, it will result in various afflictions and oppressions, most of which will not respond to any physical means of solving the problem, unless when they are properly diagnosed spiritually and tackled with fervent prayer under the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

Luke 8:43-48: And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched....

And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.

- The woman had a seemingly medical condition but failed to respond to medical care and attention, only the anointing of the Holy Spirit in the life of Jesus could break the yoke and set the woman free.

- This kind of arrow includes epileptic attack of spiritual origin. By the grace of God, I met a young Man in a town call Ada some years back when I was doing my practicum who was attacked with the spirit of epilepsy. All efforts to get him cured were without success. Several times he will be disgraced among his colleagues manifesting this spirit. But under the Holy Spirit anointing, during our Revival this yoke was totally destroyed and the man was permanently set free to the glory of God.

Arrow of affliction can also be an attack with the spirit of madness. A man was attacked by this spirit sometimes ago, and he started misbehaving and wanted to go naked into the street, but he was quickly noticed and rushed to us, when I prayer the lord told me he was attack through beer he was drinking with his friend, myself and my wife prayed for him under the anointing of the Holy Spirit after many hour he was totally set free. Gave his life to Jesus and we went straight to the river for water baptism

Today I pray for you every spirit and arrow of affliction In your life is send back to the sender on Jesus NAME. Affliction shall not rise again in your life

Hindrances to abundant harvest

TOPIC: Hindrances to abundant harvest

1. No or insufficient planted seeds

Seeds stored and not planted will yield nothing. It is only when you sow that you can expect a harvest. Sow nothing and reap nothing. Also, the more the seeds you sow the more the harvest you can expect. Therefore, sow in the morning, noon and evening, any opportunity you have sow and expect your harvest.

2. Unfertile land

Not every soil is suitable for planting seeds. So also, not every life or place is a fertile ground. A cursed life or place will yield nothing. Sow your seeds in lives and places that enjoy God’s blessings and your seed will receive God’s blessings too.

3. Poor quality seed

Bad seeds will yield nothing. Good quality seed is a function of the state of your heart and your attitude to your giving. Sow in love. Whatever you do, do as unto the Lord. Don’t just give merely for what you will get in return. Otherwise the “thank you” you received will be all that you will get. God’s blessing will not rest on the seed.

4. Weeds

These can be likened to the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches. Anxiety, impatience and greed, etc., can hinder your abundant harvest. Like a farmer weeds his farm so also you should weed your life of any wrong thought, words or actions

5. Lack of adequate light

The word of God is the sunlight you need for a bountiful harvest. Search out what God had said about your seed and harvest. Speak the Word over your seeds. There is power in your tongue. Use it and expect a fruitful return.

6. Lack of adequate rain

Praise is the rain you need for your seeds to yield fruit. Until you praise God, the earth will not yield her increase and you will not receive God’s blessing – Psalm 67: 5-6. Make praising God a life style and you will constantly have God’s blessing upon your life.

7. Little Foxes

These foxes spoil your plants and inevitably your harvest. They are un-forgiveness, bitterness, anger, etc. Do not give the enemy any reason to accuse you before God (The God of harvest). God is a just God and He keeps to His word. Keep these little foxes away from your territory.

As long as the earth remains, seed time and harvest will never cease. But you must take care of these hindrances if you want to enjoy abundant harvest during the harvest time.

LET US PRAY
In Jesus Name you will reap abundant of God overflowed blessing before the end of this mouth, and your cup will overflowed.

THE FAILURE AT AI- This final killer of Blessings is so subtle and yet so deadly. Giants and Jordan and Jericho have all fallen before your constant Faith and now you look forward to enjoying the Victorious Life; when suddenly you are brought to crushing Defeat.
Your prayers and soul searching brings the knowledge of a secret hidden sin. It seemed so small and insignificant at first until you overlooked it but now the Blessed Fellowship of God is broken and you hear Him say, neither will I be with you any more, except ye destroy the accursed from among you (Josh 7:12).

The overwhelming truth that Sin separates us from God has come home to you. You realize that only as you remove the Sin can the Blessing of Victory be yours again.
I wonder how many Christians and Churches today live in Defeat and Despondence instead of enjoying the Blessing and Bounty of the Lord because they have not dealt with Sin in their midst??

The Eyes of the Lord run to and fro through out the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him (II Chron 16:9). The Lord WANTS to Bless His people if they will just be "Blessable". What Hinders YOU from enjoying the Blessings of God??

Never Give Up…
Galatians 6:9, Galatians 6:9-10

Many of us quit, half way through with what we have started and we have enough reasons why we do it.

Galatians 6:9 “…for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

What does it mean? The scripture tells us that if we do not give up on we will surely see the reward of it. For example the farmer sows his seed and takes the little grown stuff and plants it in the properly ploughed field. He does not see the grains immediately, he waits for the rain and the shine at the proper times and then a harvest, during harvest it is not what he sowed but several measures more than what he had sown. If this is true for a farmer I am sure the same principle applies for us too. The only thing is to wait patiently until we see results.

The topic today deals with a real issue, maintaining our faith. Not giving up on God. So many times in our life, we find that we lose hope, but I’m here to tell you today, Don’t give up on God! There is a reason why you’re going through what you’re going through. You may not even realize it, but God is allowing you to go through this thing for a strengthening season. Oh somebody ought to feel this thing with me up in here because God has given me an awesome word.
God wants you to know that the waiting period is almost over and all you have to do is reaffirm your faith in him. Not only that, but he wants you to stand on his word like never before. He said there are doors opening up for you right now, there are yokes that are being broken right now, there are binds that has been made for you that has been released right now! God said he knows that your financial situation is in turmoil right now, and that you’re writing checks that has been bouncing left and right, because you thought the money you were looking for would have been here to cover those expenses…but God said Don’t give up. He said he knows how you’ve labored he knows how you’ve prayed, he knows the sleepless nights that you’ve spent, praying, fasting, crying out to him, kneeling praying, laying prostate! God said HE KNOWS!!!!

REASONS WE GIVE UP ON GOD.

The scars of disappointment we’ve had in the past.
We have alternatives.
We are tired.
We forget about Him and His benefits.
When there are troubles, we easily remember what has not happened. We don’t remember what God has done for us.
Psalm 103:2 says, “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.” For you not to give up on God, you must remember all, and not just some of His benefits.

REASONS WE SHOULD NOT GIVE UP ON GOD.
God is God and not a man. Num 23:19, Job 33:12, Is 46:5.
God’s word is final in all situations. Ps 119:89, 103:5, 147:15, 148:8, Is 55:8-11.
It is the devil’s will, not God’s will, for you to give up.
Your enemy – the devil was not originally designed to defeat you. 1 Pet 5:8, Lk 22:31.

WHAT TO DO SO AS NOT TO GIVE UP?
Fix your gaze on the Lord Jesus. Heb 12:2, Matt 15:21-28.
Hold on to your faith. Don’t be moved by what you see.

Psalm 65:11 says, “Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.” So, hold on to God and keep believing. God will pull through for you. God will crown your year with good things and fulfill His every word in your life. Amen.

God’s blessings are missed because people procrastinate.
The people began building the Temple 23 days after they arrived back from being in exile.

Too many people hear excellent sermons on TV, the radio and church but fail to respond due to a bad case of procrastination. Forgetting to act is a recipe for disaster in God’s plans.

James wrote, "Be doers of the word and not merely hearers who deceive themselves." (James 1:22)
When you hear a message from God be sure that you put it into action. Ask God what He wants you to do when you read His word and make plans to put it into practice immediately.

92% of the world is yet to make a decision about Christ as Savior and soon it will be too late. Many people have delayed too long and so have settle for mediocrity bereft of God’s blessings because they failed to act on God’s will when they were young.

Blessings are missed because people fail to remember God’s will, word and ways. Haggai urged the people in Jerusalem that the work of God was neglected, overlooked and considered as a lower priority their own concerns.

Haggai spoke, "This is what the Lord Almighty says: Consider how things are going for you!... You hoped for rich harvests, but they were poor. That is why the heavens have withheld the dew and the earth has withheld its crops. I have called for a drought to starve both you and your cattle and to ruin everything you have worked so hard to get." (Haggai 1:7-11)

God has the ability to withhold His blessings to the disobedient. Fear the Lord you His saints for to those who fear Him there is no want. The young lions lack and suffer hunger, but they who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing. (Psa 37)

Blessings are missed because we fail to put God’s purpose, priorities and plans first. Haggai spoke to the people calling them back to God’s values. "Why are you living in luxurious houses while my house lies in ruins?" (Hag. 1:4) Many people fail to realize they are living displeasing lives and so fail to repent of their sins of omission. Whatever is not done out of faith is sin. James writes, "If anyone knows the right thing to do but fails to do it for him it is sin." (James 4:7)

The next time you feel like God can’t use you, just remember...

Noah was a drunk.

Abraham was too old.

Isaac was a daydreamer.

Jacob was a liar.

Leah was ugly.

Joseph was abused.

Moses had a stuttering problem.

Gideon was afraid.

Sampson had long hair and was a womanizer.

Rahab was a prostitute.

Jeremiah and Timothy were too young.

David had an affair and was a murderer.

Elijah was suicidal.

Isaiah preached naked.

Jonah ran from God.

Naomi was a widow.

Job went bankrupt.

John the Baptist ate locusts.

Peter denied Christ.

The Disciples fell asleep while praying.

Martha worried about everything.

Mary Magdalene was, well you know.

The Samaritan woman was divorced, more than once.

Zaccheus was too small.

Paul was too religious.

Timothy had an ulcer...

Lazarus was dead!

And God isn’t finished with you yet. You are a vessel He will and can use, if you make yourself available as each of the above did.

Pray against spirits of idolatry, witchcraft and occult activity and practitioner that works through Jezebel assigned against the house.

Pray against spirits of abortion, kidnapping, child murder and destruction to our seed that works through Jezebel.

Pray against economic failure, melt down and ruin that is connected to the merchants of Jezebel.

Pray against false teachings, false doctrine, error and spirits of deception that works with Jezebel.

Pray for God to unmask, unveil and uncover every hiding place of Jezebel in believers.

Pray for the spirit of Jehu to come upon believers to resist the seduction of Jezebel.

TOPIC: ASK AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE Pt3

God will always give us good things. Our job is to understand what is good, so that we know what to ask for. The natural mind cannot understand this. But, when we offer ourselves as “a living sacrifice” and are transformed by the renewing of our minds, then we “will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will” (Romans 12:1–2). Then, asking for what we need in faith, we will have all we need for life and godliness and fullness of joy (John 16:24).

The biblical instruction concerning prayer is that we pray for the good things that we truly need, according to the will of God, in the authority of Jesus Christ, PERSISTENTLY (see Luke 18:1),
UNSELFISHLY (see James 4:3), and in
FAITH (see James 1:6).

In Matthew 21:22 Jesus again emphasizes faith: “If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” Those who truly believe God will witness the amazing, infinite power of God. However, comparing Scripture with Scripture, we know that the asking must be done within the will of God. Part of having faith is acceding to God’s plan as best. If we ask for healing, and that is the best thing for us, we should not doubt that God will heal us. If He does not heal, then not being healed is a necessary part of a larger plan—one that is ultimately for our good.

TOPIC: ASK AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE PT2

We have another condition to the promise of “ask and receive” in John 14:14, “You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.” Here, Jesus does not promise His disciples anything and everything they want; rather, He instructs them to ask “in my name.” To pray in Jesus’ name is to pray on the basis of Jesus’ authority, but it also involves praying according to the will of God, for the will of God is what Jesus always did (John 6:38). This truth is stated explicitly in 1 John 5:14, “If we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.” Our requests must be congruent with the will of God.

The promise of “ask and receive,” even with its conditions, can never disappoint. There is no chance of things we need not being in God’s will. He promises to supply what we need when we “seek first his kingdom and his righteousness” (Matthew 6:33). Of course, what we want is not always what we need. If what we want is not in God’s will, then we really don’t want to receive it. God knows what is good for us and is faithful and loving to say “no” to selfish and foolish prayers, no matter how much we want what we’re asking for.

LET US PRAY
In Jesus Name, God will not ignore your cry for help, when you call he will answer you and attend to your needs.

Jesus said, “Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete” in John 16:24.
Similar statements are found in Matthew 7:7; 21:22; Mark 11:24; Luke 11:9; and John 15:7. Is this a blanket promise with no conditions?

If we ask for food worth of billions of Naira delivered to our door, is God obligated to give it to us? Or are Jesus’ words to be understood in light of other revelation?

If we assume that “ask and you will receive” means “ask for anything you want and I’ll give it to you,” then we have turned the Lord into a cosmic genie who serves our every whim. This is the problem of prosperity gospel and word of faith teachings.

In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus says that whoever asks receives, whoever seeks finds, and whoever knocks will find an open door (Matthew 7:7–8). But with this and all other verses we must examine the context.
Jesus goes on to say that God will not fail to give His children good things (verse 11). So, this is one condition to the promise of “ask and receive”: what we ask for must be GOOD in God’s estimation. God will give advantageous gifts to His children; He will not give us bad or injurious things, no matter how much we clamor for them. The best example of a good gift is the Holy Spirit, according to Luke 11:13.

We begin to see a two-fold purpose of prayer—to increase our understanding of what God calls “good” and to cultivate a desire in us for what is good.

Our prayers to God are not unlike our requests of men. Our prayers are based in a relationship, as Jesus points out in Matthew 7:8. If a child asks his father for something the father knows to be hurtful, the request is denied. The child may be frustrated and unhappy when he doesn’t get what he asked for, but he should trust his father. Conversely, when the child asks for something that the father knows is beneficial, the father will provide it eagerly because he loves his child.

TOPIC: How can I have my prayers answered by God?

Many people believe answered prayer is God granting a prayer request that is offered to Him. If a prayer request is not granted, it is understood as an “unanswered” prayer. However, this is an incorrect understanding of prayer. God answers every prayer that is lifted to Him. Sometimes God answers “no” or “wait.” God only promises to grant our prayers when we ask according to His will. “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him” (1 John 5:14-15).

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO PRAY ACCORDING TO GOD'S WILL?
Praying according to God’s will is praying for things that honor and glorify God and/or praying for what the Bible clearly reveals God’s will to be. If we pray for something that is not honoring to God or not God’s will for our lives, God will not give what we ask for. How can we know what God’s will is? God promises to give us wisdom when we ask for it. James 1:5 proclaims, “If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.”

A good place to start is 1 Thessalonians 5:12-24, which outlines many things that are God’s will for us. The better we understand God’s Word, the better we will know what to pray for (John 15:7). The better we know what to pray for, the more often God will answer “yes” to our requests.

These are all steps to keep up responsibilities or maintain a measure of control in the worldly realm, but they don’t get to the meat of the matter. The most important thing to remember regarding death is the truth about life. You love your family and care for them, but God loves them more. You may worry about your earthly legacy, but God’s more concerned with a kingdom perspective. All the paperwork in the world won’t bring the peace of mind of one simple action: abide.

In the middle of living this life, with these people, in this world, it’s difficult to keep in mind that this is just a temporary condition, and not a very good one at that.

First John 2:15–17 says, “Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.” How we remember this is by abiding (1 John 2:24). Staying in the truth of His Word, believing what He says about us and the world around us, will give us the proper perspective regarding this life and the one we will receive.

When we are able to keep that kingdom perspective, we’ll be able to fulfill
1 John 3:1–2: “See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is.”

It will be so evident that we do not belong in this world that others will see it, too. We will so take ownership of our position as children of God that we will actively seek the day we can be like Christ and see Him as He is.

In continuation of our previous teaching on How can I overcome the fear of death? How can I stop being scared of dying?
I want to talk on the practical step and physical of overcoming fear of death

Many people believe they shouldn’t die because they have too much to live for. Often, this means they have responsibilities and unfinished business that wouldn’t be taken care of if they were gone. But having people and things you are responsible for won’t keep you from dying if it’s your time. Doing what you can to make sure they’re seen to can alleviate fear.

If you have a business or children or other dependents, consider their care. Decide who will take over your role and work with that person to come up with a plan. Look into a will or a trust. Make sure all of your necessary paperwork is organized and easy to find. Reconcile broken relationships before you’re unable to. But don’t live for dying. There’s a difference between taking reasonable steps and obsessing.

OVERCOMING THE FEAR OF DEATH — PHYSICAL STEPS
If you have strong feelings about what you want to happen to you should you become incapacitated, express them now. It’s entirely possible that during the course of an illness or injury, you’ll lose control over the situation and be unable to make your wishes known. Get a living will. Let those closest to you know what you want—or at least tell them where it’s written down. Choose someone you trust to be authorized to make decisions for you should you become unable.

FEAR FOR THOSE LEFT BEHIND

The Christian view of death is “separation.” Ultimate death is separation from God. With physical death, we will be separated from our loved ones on Earth for a time. If they are also Christians, we know that the separation will be a short blink of an eye compared to the eternity we’ll spend with them in heaven. If they are not Christians, that will not be the case. Our commission, then, becomes to use this time together to talk to them about where they will go when they die. Ultimately, however, the decision rests with them. Just as God gives them the room to choose, we must also.

FEAR OF THE ACT OF DYING

Few of us know how we will die. Quick and painless, in our sleep, a long, drawn-out illness—the mystery of it, the inability to prepare, can be frightening. If we do know, if we’ve been diagnosed with a terminal illness, it can still be scary.

But it is only a moment. A moment nearly everyone has gone through or will go through. And, when that moment is over, we can claim Philippians 3:20–21: “But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.”

Often, being informed and actively participating can help assuage fear. You can take steps to prepare yourself and those around you.

FEAR OF LOSS OF CONTROL
By the time humans reach adulthood, they have a pretty good idea how to interact with the world around them. They know how to find what they need, get to where they want to be, and interact with others in a way that fulfills their intent.

Many though, even those who profess a trust in God, are so fearful of not getting what they need that they feel they have no choice but to manipulate their surroundings and the people around them to their benefit. We have all met men and women who abuse and grasp out of fear. They don’t trust God to provide for their needs, so they take care of things themselves. They don’t trust others to give them consideration, so they demand what they think they need.

How much more they must fear the loss of control upon their deaths. As Jesus said to Peter, describing how he would die, “Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were younger, you used to gird yourself and walk wherever you wished; but when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands and someone else will gird you, and bring you where you do not wish to go” (John 21:18).

Before Peter got this warning, he denied Jesus out of fear. Directly after the warning, he reacted by demanding to know how John was going to die. But after Jesus returned to heaven, Peter took the gift of the Holy Spirit and became a new person—one whose passion for Christ’s message far out-stripped his need to control his surroundings (Acts 5:17–42).
The Holy Spirit alone gave him the strength to face whatever challenges he might face.

Even the most secure, devout believer can have occasions when he fears death. It is hard-wired into our systems to avoid death. And death was not an original part of God’s plan for His creation. We were made to be whole and holy, living in paradise in communion with Him. The introduction of death was a necessary response to the admittance of sin into the world. It is a grace that we die. If we didn’t, we would have to live in a sinful world for all eternity.

Knowing that in your head doesn’t necessarily counteract the visceral reaction to the thought of your own mortality. The fragility of our physical bodies and the sudden cessation of life are violent reminders of our lack of control in a large, dangerous world. We do have a great hope, that He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). And He did go to prepare a place for us so that we can join Him (John 14:2). But it might help to consider the more immediate, practical considerations we’re faced with.

Beginning with, what is the actual fear? There are several aspects of death that can potentially cause fear. Fortunately, God has an answer for each of them.

FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN
What exactly does it feel like to die? What can you see as your life leaves your physical body? How will it come about? Is it anything like people have reported—a bright light? A group of relatives?

No one knows for certain what it feels like, but the Bible does describe what happens. Second Corinthians 5:6–8 and Philippians 1:23 say that when we leave our body, we are at home with the Lord. What a reassuring thought! We will stay in this state until Christ comes and resurrects the believers (1 Corinthians 15:20–22; 6:14) when we will be given a new, glorified body.

TOPIC: WHAT HAPPEN AFTER DEATH?

Continue from yesterday I gave us what happen to us as a believer after death. Let's continue to second point what happen to the unbeliever

For those who do not receive Jesus Christ as Savior, death means everlasting punishment. However, similar to the destiny of believers, unbelievers also seem to be sent immediately to a temporary holding place, to await their final resurrection, judgment, and eternal destiny.
Luke 16:22-23 describes a rich man being tormented immediately after death.

Revelation 20:11-15 describes all the unbelieving dead being resurrected, judged at the great white throne, and then being cast into the lake of fire. Unbelievers, then, are not sent to hell (the lake of fire) immediately after death, but rather are in a temporary realm of judgment and condemnation.

However, even though unbelievers are not instantly sent to the lake of fire, their immediate fate after death is not a pleasant one.
The rich man cried out, “I am in agony in this fire” (Luke 16:24).

Therefore, after death, a person resides in a “temporary” heaven or hell. After this temporary realm, at the final resurrection, a person’s eternal destiny will not change. The precise “location” of that eternal destiny is what changes.
Believers will ultimately be granted entrance into the new heavens and new earth (Revelation 21:1).
Unbelievers will ultimately be sent to the lake of fire (Revelation 20:11-15).

These are the final, eternal destinations of all people—based entirely on whether or not they had trusted Jesus Christ alone for salvation (Matthew 25:46; John 3:36).

You still have a chance today to chose your eternal destination. John 14:6 KJV
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

John 3:16-18 KJV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. [17] For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. [18] He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

In Jesus Name, you will not end your life in Hell Fire. You will make heaven.

TOPIC THE FINAL JUDGMENT Pt2

Continue from yesterday...
As God the Son, Jesus Christ will be the judge (John 5:22). All unbelievers will be judged by Christ at the “great white throne,” and they will be punished according to the works they have done. The Bible is very clear that unbelievers are storing up wrath against themselves (Romans 2:5) and that God will “give to each person according to what he has done” (Romans 2:6). (Believers will also be judged, at a different judgment called the “judgment seat of Christ” (Romans 14:10), but since Christ’s righteousness has been imputed to us and our names are written in the Book of Life, we will be rewarded, not punished, according to our deeds.)

At the final judgment the fate of the unsaved will be in the hands of the omniscient God who will judge everyone according to his soul’s condition.

For now, our fate is in our own hands. The end of our soul’s journey will be either in an eternal heaven or in an eternal hell (Matthew 25:46).
We must choose where we will be by accepting or rejecting the sacrifice of Christ on our behalf, and we y 16hhyb end. After death, there is no longer a choice, and our fate is to stand before the throne of God, where everything will be open and naked before Him (Hebrews 4:13).

Romans 2:6 declares that God “will give to each person according to what he has done.”

LET US PRAY
In Jesus Name, you and me will not end it in Hell, God will cloth us with his righteousness.

THE FINAL JUDGMENT

TOPIC: The final judgment

The first thing to understand about the final judgment is that it cannot be avoided. Regardless of how we may choose to interpret prophecy on the end times, we are told that “it is appointed to men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27). We all have a divine appointment with our Creator. The apostle John recorded some details of the final judgment:

“And I saw a great white throne, and Him sitting on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And a place was not found for them. And I saw the dead, the small and the great, stand before God. And books were opened, and another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead in it. And death and hell delivered up the dead in them. And each one of them was judged according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the Lake of Fire. This is the second death. And if anyone was not found having been written in the Book of Life, he was cast into the Lake of Fire” (Revelation 20:11-15).

This remarkable passage introduces to us the final judgment—the end of human history and the beginning of the eternal state. We can be sure of this: no mistakes will be made in our hearings because we will be judged by a perfect God (Matthew 5:48; 1 John 1:5). This will manifest itself in many undeniable proofs.

First, God will be perfectly just and fair (Acts 10:34; Galatians 3:28).
Second, God cannot be deceived (Galatians 6:7).
Third, God cannot be swayed by any prejudices, excuses or lies (Luke 14:16-24).

God is calling you to repent and serve him whole heartedly, you have a choice to choose now where you will end your journey, a time will come when you won't have a choice anymore.

The Crown of life

TOPIC The Crown of Life

Revelation 2:10“Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.”

This crown is for all believers, but is especially dear to those who endure sufferings, who bravely confront persecution for Jesus, even to the point of death.

In Scripture the word “life” is often used to show a relationship that is right with God. It was Jesus who said, “I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly” (John 10:10). Just as things such as air, food, and water are vital for our physical lives, Jesus provides us what is required for our spiritual lives. He is the One who provides “living water.” He is the “bread of life” (John 4:10, 6:35). We know that our earthly lives will end. But we have the amazing promise that comes only to those who come to God through Jesus: “And this is the promise that He has promised us—eternal life” (1 John 2:25).

James tells us that this crown of life is for all those who love God (James 1:12).
The question then is how do we demonstrate our love for God? The apostle John answers this for us: “For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome” (1 John 5:3).

As His children we must keep His commandments, obeying Him, always remaining faithful. So, as we endure the inevitable trials, pains, heartaches, and tribulations—as long as we live—may we ever move forward, always “looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith” (Hebrews 12:2) and receive the crown of life that awaits us.
