How does a heart become merciful?

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: How does a heart become merciful?

Matthew 5:7 KJV
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

Mercy comes from a heart that has first felt its spiritual bankruptcy, and has come to grief over its sin, and has learned to wait meekly for the timing of the Lord, and to cry out in hunger for the work of his mercy to satisfy us with the righteousness we need.

The mercy that God blesses is itself the blessing of God. It grows up like fruit in a broken heart and a meek spirit and a soul that hungers and thirsts for God to be merciful. Mercy comes from mercy. Our mercy to each other comes from God's mercy to us.

The key to becoming a merciful person is to become a broken person. You get the power to show mercy from the real feeling in your heart that you owe everything you are and have to sheer divine mercy. Therefore, if we want to become merciful people, it is imperative that we cultivate a view of God and ourselves that helps us to say with all our heart that every joy and virtue and distress of our lives is owing to the free and undeserved mercy of God.

LET US PRAY
In Jesus Name, mercy will find you and bring you to your place of fulfillment

The reflection of God's mercy

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: The reflection of God's mercy

I move on now to the reflection of God's mercy, reminding you again of our need to bear God's image in a darkened world. In Luke 6:36, our Lord tells us straightforwardly, Be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful. That makes very clear our need to be merciful. To this we can add a few more verses.

Proverbs 3:3 says, Let not mercy and truth forsake you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.

Micah 6:8 asks, What does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?

Let me not leave out the closing words of the parable of the Good Samaritan, where Jesus asked the inquiring lawyer, which of these three do you think was neighbor to him who fell among the thieves? The lawyer rightly replied, He who showed mercy on him. Then Jesus said to him, Go and do likewise.
As Christians we simply must be merciful if at all possible. May God grant us the grace to do so.

In addition it can be said that mercy is one of those things we can do for the good of ourselves. Proverbs 11:17 states, The merciful man does good for his own soul. And Matthew 5:7 says, Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.
This morning instead of looking for someone to show you mercy, I want you to be merciful to someone too, and your lie mercy will come from God. Amen

LET US PRAY
In Jesus Name mercy of God will open door of breakthrough for you

The manifestations of God's mercy

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: The manifestations of God's mercy

The best way to understand and appreciate God's mercy is to observe it in action. The first reference to the mercy of God in the Bible is in connection with the rescue of Lot and his family from Sodom and Gomorrah. Whether they realized it or not, the family of Lot was in great distress because fire and brimstone from the heavens were about to rain down upon the two cities to destroy them and all of their inhabitants. Their very lives were at stake. Even though God had warned them of what was coming, they were lingering behind in the cities. Then in Genesis 19:16 we read, While he lingered, the men took hold of his hand, his wife's hand, and the hands of his two daughters, the Lord being merciful to him, and they brought him out and set him outside the city.

In mercy God sent messengers to rescue Lot and his family. God had compassion on them and rescued them from their distress. Unhappily, Lots wife lagged behind and kept looking back and she perished, but Lot and his daughters escaped because of God's mercy. That was compassionate treatment of those who were in distress!

Psalm 136 sings of God's mercy like no other Psalm, and refers to repeated demonstrations of God's mercy to the children of Israel. Israel had been in great distress in Egypt, forced into slavery by the Egyptians. But God treated them compassionately, delivering them from Egypt and bringing them through the wilderness and settling them in the land of promise.

LET US PRAY
In Jesus Name, the Mercy of God will settle you to your promise land in Jesus Name

The Nature of God's Mercy

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: THE NATURE OF GOD'S MERCY

When the psalmist says the Lord is merciful, he is drawing from the 34th chapter of Exodus, where God revealed Himself to Moses on Mount Sinai.
On that occasion, God passed by Moses on the mountain, proclaiming, The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands. The Psalmist is simply repeating what was revealed then. The Lord is merciful and gracious. There is no question that God is merciful.
That raises some rather interesting questions. If we use the definition of mercy as compassionate treatment of those who are in distress,

what is so distressful about us?
Why is Gods mercy so often spoken of in connection with his slowness to anger?
Why would God be angry with those in distress?

Let me take a moment to show you how Scripture couples Gods mercy with slowness to anger.
We have it here in Psalm 103:8. The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger. We have it again in Jeremiah 3:12, I am merciful, says the Lord; I will not remain angry forever. And in Joel 2:13, The Lord your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger.

Our questions are answered in Hebrews 8:12 where God says I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more. Our sin is what puts us in distress. God has declared it to be worthy of death. The sinner must perish; he is lost. God gets angry with sin because it is disobedience to His will and a denial of His goodness. Sin causes great distress for us; it angers God, and our only hope is found in Gods mercy and readiness to treat sinners compassionately. That is the nature of Gods mercy.

But when God's mercy speaks, we are forgiven, we are clean and the blood of Jesus clean us from all sins by his mercy.

LET US PRAY
In Jesus Name, mercy of God will clean your past mistake that us troubling your present life in Jesus Name

God's Mercy

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: GOD'S MERCY

Text: Psalm 103:8 KJV
The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

mercy is compassionate treatment of those who are in distress.

There is probably no better human illustration of this kind of mercy than the one that is found in the story Jesus told of the good Samaritan. You are familiar with the story of how the man who went down the road from Jerusalem to Jericho was set upon by thieves who stripped him, wounded him and left him half dead.
The priest and Levite passed him by on the other side of the road, but the Samaritan had compassion on him bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
When Jesus asked, Which of these three do you think was neighbor to him who fell among the thieves?, He was answered, He who showed mercy on him.

From this story we understand immediately that mercy is giving compassionate treatment to those in distress. We admire such acts of mercy. We say that mercy is a very wonderful thing. Mercy is good and we take heart when the Bible tells us that God is merciful.

LET US PRAY
This week God's mercy will find you and make a way for you in Jesus name

WHO ARE THE STUBBORN AND RELENTLESS ENEMY ?

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: WHO ARE THE STUBBORN AND RELENTLESS ENEMY ?

There are Enemy and they are pursuers. All pursuers are not the same. Some pursuers are more relentless than others. Why are they more relentless? A pursuer becomes more relentless, refusing to turn back from pursuing you:

1. When he is an avenger.
He wants to avenge something such as a wrong or a mistake. He wants you to pay dearly for what you have done. The only way out here is to call on the mercy of God and on the blood of Jesus to avail for you. A good example is Joab and his brother Abishai who pursued Abner relentless until they eventually lured him out of the city of Refuge and killed him. They were relentless because he had killed their brother Asahel in battle. 2 Samuel 3:30.

2. When he is operating under a covenant to destroy.
A good example is the people that took a vow not to eat until they had destroyed Apostle Paul. Acts 23:12.

3. When you have the pursuer’s property in your possession.
For example, marine powers will not leave you alone when you have their candles, their evil garments, special white bedsheets, special perfume, special sponge, and special soap in your possession. The devil and his cohorts will keep coming back to trouble you until you not only get rid of his possessions but also cleanse your house thoroughly.

4. When you are living in secret sin.

5. When you refuse to make restitution.
You refuse to give back the things that you have stolen and the “gifts” that another woman’s husband bought for you with the money that he was supposed to feed his family with while they were left hungry.

6. When they are operating on several fronts in a person’s life.
For example, in the area of marriage, finance, career, and business.

7. When the pursuer is already inside while you are busy looking for him outside.
WE SHALL CONTINUE TOMORROW

LET'S PRAY
Blood of Jesus work for me and deliver me from every avenger, in the name of Jesus.

O God in your mercy, help me and enable me to make restitution today.

Every stubborn pursuer pursuing my life, turn back and die, in the name of Jesus.

Destroying Stubborn Enemy

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: DESTROYING STUBBORN ENEMY

This week we shall be dealing with stubborn enemy, join this prayer and take it seriously. December must make sense for you in Jesus name.
STUBBORN ENEMY ARE...

1. Powers that are blocking your way, preventing you from moving forward in life.

2. Powers that are standing between you and your breakthroughs.

3. Powers that are pursuing you in your dreams.

4. Powers that are assigned to arrest or stop you in your tracks.

5. They are powers that want to waste the glorious destiny that God has for you.

6. They are the powers that are programming evil appointments for you.
These include appointment with rejection, failure, diversion, shame, and untimely death.

7. They are the slave masters like Pharaoh.
Slave masters want you to do all the work while they appropriate all the rewards from your labor to themselves.

8. They are powers that want you dead.
These powers are like Haman. Esther 5:14. They want you dead and will not settle for less. You cannot appease them with red wine. They want your blood. Never mind. They too will be hung in the gallows that they have prepared for you after the order of Haman. Esther 7:10.

PRAY THIS

You my pharaoh, wherever you are; whoever you are, your time is up, fall down and die, in the name of Jesus.

O God arise and disappoint every power making evil appointments for me.

O God arise and scatter every power that is assigned to stop me.

Every power that wants me dead, die in my place after the order of Hamman, in the name of Jesus.

Are you ready?

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: ARE YOU READY?

It Is A Heavenly Time – The only One Who knows the timing of the Lord’s coming is the One Who planned His coming. God knows when these events will take place. He knows because He has planned the precise instant when Jesus will return to this earth.
God keeps this a secret because He does not want people caught up in an end times frenzy. He wants us to look for Him every day and He wants us to live for Him every day. He wants us to live like He might return at any moment and work like He is never coming back.

The fact is, God will not put a commercial on television to let people know that the end is near. He will not take a full page ad in the News-Topic, or any other periodical. He will not announce it on the radio, not will He drop flyers from the Heavens. We have the only warning we are going to get. The Word of God is clear: Jesus is coming! The pieces are all in place. The end times players are all lining up. The stage is set and the Father’s hand is on the rope. We are nearing the end of human history. Jesus is coming. The question you need to answer in your heart today is this: Are you ready?
LET US PRAY
Every power of darkness that is holding you back from following the part of truth is hereby destroyed in Jesus Name.

I am ready, what about you?

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: I am ready, what about you?

Mark 13:32 KJV
But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

THE SECRECY OF HIS COMING
A. It Is A Hidden Time – Jesus is coming, but no one knows when that event will take place. When Jesus gave His men this prophecy, He told them that even He didn’t know the hour of His Own return. The point He is making is that it is foolish to try and set dates concerning the Lord’s return.
There was a retired NASA worker who wrote the book “88 Reasons Why Jesus Will Return In 1988.” He predicted that Jesus would return on either Sept. 11, 12, or 13. When the Lord didn’t return in 1988, he wrote a new book that declared the Lord would return in 1989. He didn’t come then either. No one knows the time when the Lord will return. There is no point in speculating about it.
But, while we are on the subject, let me just remind you that Jesus is talking about His Second Coming in these verses. He is actually talking about the second part of the Second Coming. Jesus is talking about the time He will come to defeat His enemies and rule on the earth. Did you know that He is coming back before that?
He will not actually set foot on the earth when he comes for the first part of the Second Coming, but He will appear in the clouds above the earth. We call this event the Rapture. It is predicted in John 14:1-3; 1 Thes, 4:16-18; 1 Cor. 15:51-52.
In the Rapture, Jesus will return in the clouds above the earth and He will call His redeemed people unto Him. Every saint of God who has died in faith in Christ will be with Him when He comes. He will raise their bodies from the grave, reunite body and spirit and take both home to Heaven. Every living child of God will be “caught up” in the air to be with Jesus. These sinful bodies will become like His glorified body. All the saved people from the resurrection to the Rapture will leave this world in the Rapture.
I am ready and looking for that event. How about you? Unlike the Second Coming, there will be no signs that will precede the Rapture. One minute the people of God will be here, and the next minute they will be with Jesus in Heaven. Those who are left behind will have to face the terror of the Tribulation.
If you are going to be ready for anything, be ready for the Rapture. If you are going to be looking for anything, be looking for Jesus in the Rapture. If you miss the Rapture, you will probably not be alive when Jesus comes the second time. If you are alive when He comes, you will face Him as Judge and not Savior. Your only hope is to be saved today! Come to Jesus now! Run to Jesus while there is time. Come while He calls you. Come now!

LET US PRAY
In Jesus Name, you will not die premature and you will not miss Heaven

Concluding Signs

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Concluding Signs

Mark 13:30 KJV
Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.

Jesus says that the generation that witnesses these things will not pass away until they have all been fulfilled. This prophecy has been the subject of much debate down through the years.
One of the symbols of the nation of Israel is the fig tree, Jer. 8:13, 29:17; Hos. 9:10, 16; Joel 1:7; Micah 7:1-6. Thus, some people have concluded that Jesus is comparing saying that when the fig tree, or Israel, begins to show signs of life, that generation will witness the return of the Lord. Well, Israel became a nation again after 1,878 years on May 14, 1948. The nation was destroyed in 70 AD and ceased to exist. Some people believe the final generation began them. Of course, that was 61 years ago and a generation in the Bible is about 27 years.
Others believe that Israel began to put forth her leaves in 1967 after she defeated her Arab neighbors in the Six Days War. Of course, that was nearly 42 years ago.
Another school of thought holds that the word “generation”, which can refer to “a wicked race”, refers to the spiritual condition of Israel. In other words, Jesus could be saying, “The Jews will continue in their unbelief until I come.” This interpretation certainly fits with the facts. Israel is back in their land, and they have all the signs of life. Like a fig tree in the late spring, they are in full leaf. Still, they have no fruit. They have yet to bow to their Messiah.
In my opinion, all that Jesus is saying in verse 30 is the appearance of the signs he has mentioned will be a signal that the end is very near. As I said a few minutes ago, all the pieces are in place. Everything is lining up like Jesus said they would. He is coming! Are you ready?
C. v. 31 They Are Confirmed Signs – This verse is a simple confirmation that everything Jesus says will come to pass. The Word of God is an eternal book, Psa. 119:89. Every word in it will stand forever, Isa. 40:8. Every promise in God’s Word will be met, Deut. 4:21. Every prophecy will be fulfilled, Matt. 5:18.
What does this mean for us? It serves to remind us that we need to take the words of the Lord to heart! What He says will happen will happen. What He promises His will do. This is a call for people to believe the Bible!
Jesus says that He is the only way of salvation, John 14:6. Jesus says that there is a Heaven to gain and a Hell to shun, John 14:1-3; John 3:18. Those things are true and every person in this room will answer to them one day. Jesus also says that He is coming again, John 14:3. It is a promise that is as sure as the sun coming up in the morning and setting in the evening. Ready or not, here He comes!

LET US PRAY
In Jesus Name You will not die in sin, the lord will safe you from eternal damnation

Jesus is Coming

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC JESUS IS COMING

Mark 13:28-37

READY OR NOT, HERE HE COMES

One of the most memorable games from my childhood days is the game of hide and seek. On many occasions throughout the year. The children would usually start a game of hide and seek.
When the game started, someone was chosen to be “it”. A spot was chosen to be “base”. Whoever was “it” would stand at “base”, close their eyes and count to 100. The other players ran and hid. Then it was “its” job to find them before they could return to “base”. The game ended when everyone made it back to “base”, or when “it” found someone who was hiding. In the next game, the person who was caught became “it”.
The part of that game that still echoes in my mind is what “it” would say before he or she came looking for those who were hiding. “It” would always say, “Ready or not, here I come.” When “it” said that, you had better be ready, or you were going to be in trouble.
When I read this verses, that old childhood game came back to my memory. Jesus is telling His men that there will be a day when He will come again. That day will arrive whether people are ready or not.
This chapter began with the disciples asking Jesus about the end of time and about the signs accompanying that time period, v. 3-4. The rest of this chapter is spent answering their questions. These closing verses offer a few warnings that all people of all ages should take to heart. These warnings should especially be heeded by people who are living in these late hours of time.
Jesus is coming! Skeptics and scoffers deny that fact, but they can’t change the truth of it. Jesus is coming, and He is coming soon. This is not a childhood game! Eternity is at stake!

Ready Or Not, Here He Comes! There are warnings in these verses that should be heard and heeded by all of us. These verses are a challenge for the saints to be ready, and they are a call for the lost to get ready. Jesus is coming and you do not want to be found unprepared for that day.

LET US PRAY
In Jesus Name, you and me will not miss heaven, we shall not go to Hell

God's Provision is Daily

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: GOD’S PROVISION IS DAILY.

1 Kings 17:6, Matthew 6:11
Jesus while teaching His disciples to pray prayed that “Give us this day our daily bread”.

What God promised us is a daily provision. Unfortunately today, many out of greed are doing all sorts of evil things to secure 100years provision. Many are worrying so much on what they and their family will eat in 20years to come. what is wrong in this is when it comes from greediness and evil passion that make you cheat others of their wages to secure your own future.

Believe in God that He will bless the work of your hands to provide you and your family’s daily needs. God used a raven and a poor widow to daily feed Elijah.
He can do it for you only if you can put your trust in Him. Elijah and others in the Bible follow these principles and they all enjoy the divine provision of God. You too will enjoy this divine provision if you can follow these principles.

HINDERANCES TO DIVINE PROVISION * Doubt * Partial Obedience to God * Disobedience * Using Sense Knowledge * Tragedy All these hinder divine provision and you must pray them out of your life for the heaven of your divine provision to open.
I want you to note that a sinner cannot enjoy divine provision because Jesus say “It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs” Matthew 15:26.

LET US PRAY
As from now on, God will connect you to divine source of blessing that will be feeding you daily in Jesus Name

God's will for our prosperity

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: GOD'S WILL FOR OUR PROSPERITY

3John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

It is amazing how believers can subscribe to the dubious notion that God is probably not interested in their welfare. The nature of life is that it will throw several challenges of various types in our path but many have concluded that the challenges of their life must mean that there is divine approval for suffering. This is far from the truth!

In the scripture we find it written that God has great plans for us and I personally do not think that lack, despondency and insufficiency will make a good definition or synonym of great plans. Jeremiah 29:11 is abundant with meaning concerning the plans of God for you and your family. Never for once think that a God that takes good pleasure in giving good gifts unto His children will contradict Himself by willing a life of nakedness and want for His children. No! That cannot be the God of the bible.

Romans 8:32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

Consider the fact that God did not spare Jesus Christ His only begotten Son but relinquished Him just because of you. You will understand that He will not have difficulty giving less precious things that are unlike His Son to you. God is getting ready to give you your heart desires in this season. Debunk every thought that tries to persuade you that you should not expect great things to happen to you. That’s the voice of the enemy making an attempt to keep you contained.

But the devil is a liar! God has concluded plans to show up for you this season. His plans are good and not evil to give you an expected end. Definitely and most assuredly you will share your testimony before long in Jesus Name!

Jesus said “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” John 10:10.

Jesus came so that you may have and live a life of abundance. Don’t let the circumstances of your life or the economic environment delude you. You are part of Gods grand strategy to showcase His magnificence and wealth in these last days and you will not miss out in Jesus Name! God wants you to prosper! God wants you rich! He is not glorified by your lack and want. He wants you to live the best life not just a good one. Halleluyah!

Prosperity

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: PROSPERITY

Prosperity means having the ability to fulfil God’s destiny for your life and to bless others in God’s plan for them

That is what biblical prosperity is all about. In a sense the widow provided for Elijah, but really it was Elijah who provided for the widow! Biblical prosperity is having more than enough for your own needs so that you can supply the needs of others. Malachi chapter 3 promises you abundant blessing when you are faithful in giving – both in your tithes and your offerings.

Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and try me now in this,” says the LORD of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it. Malachi 3:10 The plain fact about God’s provision is, the more you give, the more you receive! I am not suggesting that you should give with the selfish motive of gaining more yourself. But when you do give you receive back more and this means that you have even more to give next time. This is the principle of sowing and reaping.

What farmer sows seeds it is in order to reap a harvest! In 2 Corinthians, Paul writes that giving is like sowing, and when you sow you should expect a harvest of righteousness. This is not just the righteousness of doing the right thing, but it means taking care of the needs of others and providing for God’s work.

Notice it is the sowing of your finances that brings you both a financial harvest and the further harvest of righteousness that comes from blessing others out of God’s abundant provision for you.

As you read these verses from 2 Corinthians, notice the words that I have underlined:

But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. As it is written: “He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever.” Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God. (2 Corinthians 9:6-11)

These principles will help you flow in God’s provision. Follow them as a lifestyle, and God will release his supernatural provision to you.

LET US PRAY
In Jesus Name You will never lack. The God of Elijah is with you and he is faithful

Provision comes by putting God first

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Provision comes by putting God first

1king 17

I know that some people are really struggling and giving presents a very real dilemma for them. But God must come first in your finances. There is no other way to flow in God’s provision. If you are in debt, or if you have other financial difficulties to resolve, make sure you honour God first with what you do have.

Begin with God. If you don’t, you’ll never have enough for him when you come to the end of the list of other commitments. I’m not going to say how this principle should be worked out in your present circumstances, but it is a principle that you cannot afford to violate. Our debt is first of all unto the Lord. We must minister to God, first of all.

When asking the widow to give up what was to be the last meal for herself and her son Elijah was not being selfish or greedy. He was following God’s instructions to the letter. It looked like the sheer manipulation and exploitation of a vulnerable person, but God was in it. He provided for his servant and also saved the life of the widow woman and her son.

There was a divine principle involved: God’s house first. If you put God’s kingdom and his concerns first in your life, everything else will fall into place.

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added to you. (Matthew 6:33) Get this principle straight in your life and then you must come before the Lord and seek his wisdom to work this out in your specific situation. There is no easy or instant quick fix. These are principles that you have to start to apply and it may take time, but it does work!

LET US PRAY
This week God will lead you and direct your feet to where your blessing are in Jesus Name

God's Provision

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: God’s provision

God’s provision does not come according to human reasoning

There is a supernatural element at work here. Provision does not come in line with human reasoning. When you are controlled by human thinking and worldly wisdom, you limit God and exclude him. God works in strange and unexpected ways. It is exciting, even though it can be extremely uncomfortable! Can you image what this meant to Elijah? God said to him, “I am going to provide for you throughout this time of drought. Go and prophesy, and the drought will come – but don’t worry, I am going to take care of you”. God fulfilled his promise through ravens and widows! The raven was an unclean bird to the Jew! And taking food from a poor widow? I can imagine Elijah recoiled at the thought of taking something from a woman who was worse off than himself. This is human thinking. God had to teach Elijah not to reason according to his natural understanding. God often uses extraordinary circumstances and extraordinary people – most unusual sources and most unusual instruments!

Sometimes it takes a great deal of faith and a rejection of normal human reasoning to grasp what God is doing. You can easily miss the provision of God if you don’t take time to listen to his promptings and discern the hand of God in your circumstances, no matter how bizarre they appear to be.

Purpose of Financial provision

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Purpose of Financial provision

1King 17

Financial provision is for God’s purposes and not for mere personal gain

This doesn’t mean God doesn’t want to bless you personally, but the blessing is not there for your personal gain. God’s financial provision is to enable you to fulfil the purpose of God for your life. Elijah’s motive in seeking God for his provision was so that he could be true to the call of God upon his life. That can sound like language that is reserved for those in so-called ‘full time Christian service’. But we are all in full time Christian service – whatever our circumstances.

God has put you where you are to witness for him and influence others around you for the kingdom of God. Dedicate your life to Christian service wherever he calls you. God’s provision will flow into your life, if you are serving his purposes. The provision of God follows the purposes of God.

God could pour hundreds of thousands of pounds through your account but you must establish this right from the start. God’s prosperity is not for personal gain or for sheer indulgence but to serve the purposes of God.

LET US PRAY
God will bless you with Money and Spirit of poverty will not rule your life again in Jesus Name

Youth faith will be tested

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC Your faith will be tested

Being in the centre of God’s will does not mean a trouble-free existence! God said to Elijah, “Go to the brook. I am going to give you bread and meat in the morning and in the evening, and as much as you want to drink all throughout the day!” This was all very good until the brook dried up! I can imagine Elijah saying, “Lord, you told me to come here. Am I in the right place? The brook has dried up!” It can be confusing, but you have to trust the Lord even if it seems as if he has led you up a cul-de-sac.

Don’t blame the devil for all your trials. Remember God is allowing the tests to come in order to develop your faith. The devil wants to destroy your faith, but God wants to strengthen it. There is only one way to develop your faith and that’s to exercise it! You need the resistance that comes from opposing circumstances in order to develop your faith.

In Jesus Name, your you miracle will not longer be delay

Blessing comes through Obedience

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC Blessing comes through obedience

Imagine what it was like for Elijah at this point. James says, “Elijah was a man with a nature like ours” (James 5:17).

This is true of all the great men and women of God in the Bible. We can wonder what Elijah was feeling – the drought was on and a time of extreme lack was upon the whole land. Obviously, Elijah was looking to the Lord. But surely he would have gone through the same kind of human emotions that we have to face today.
We must be careful not to rush ahead or to act hastily out of fear or anxiety. If we wait on the Lord during times of pressure he will show us what to do next.

Finally the word came to Elijah: Get away from here and turn eastward, and hide by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan. And it will be that you shall drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there. (1 Kings 17:3-4).

Elijah obeys God immediately. He goes where God sends him and does what God tells him to do. Obedience to God is essential at all times – but in a time of lack it can be a matter of survival! Elijah did not strive – he just waited for God to speak and then acted on it. Hearing and obeying God are the twin keys to success. To walk in blessing, you must walk in obedience.

LET US PRAY
In Jesus Name, God will connect you to the right place and the right person that will help your destiny to breakthrough.

God knows it all

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: GOD KNOWS IT ALL

1 Kings 17:2-4 KJV
And the word of the Lord came unto him, saying, [3] Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan. [4] And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there.

God knows your every need, even before you tell him, and he promises to provide for your every need!

God knew all about the drought in Israel. He initiated it and he knew that it would bring its own problems for the people of God. We often pray, “Oh God, bring prosperity!” But God may want the financial shaking to continue so that nations will fall on their knees and cry out to him.

God knows your need – he knows about your bills. God knows what you need even before you ask. He understands more than you can possibly know. He knew Elijah’s need and was ready to make full provision for it.

It is impossible for a loving father, who has the means, to refrain from meeting the needs of his children. God has the means to meet your every need. He is a loving Father and if he knows your need, he is prepared to meet your need. Paul the apostle says to the Philippians, “And my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19).

LET US PRAY
In Jesus Name this week you will not lack good thing and before you worry your Supply will come from God. Amen

Depend on God

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: DEPEND ON GOD

Trust in the Lord, not in your own understanding

Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. [6] In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Why is it so tempting for us to depend on our own wisdom rather than the wisdom of our all-wise God? What makes us think that we know better than he does what is best for us? Scripture speaks clearly about how to live life abundantly forever with Christ; yet, all too easily, we justify our sin, declare distasteful commands irrelevant, and do what is right in our own eyes. Seasons of waiting reveal where we are placing our trust.

If you want God's direction in your life, start trusting him totally, when you depend totally on him he will not disappoint you, remember the 3 Hebrews they have option to bow down for the kings image but they chose to depend solace on God.

This is what God expect from me and you today, and our ways shall be prosperous.

May all the hindrances to your Blessing be remove today by fire in Jesus Name

Put your hope in His word

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Put your hope in his Word

Psalm 130:5-6 KJV
I wait for the Lord , my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. [6] My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.

We can be tempted to put our hope in things that may disappoint us in the end. We can hope a doctor will heal us, a teacher will pass us, a spouse will love us, our employer will reward us, or a friend will help us. But it is only when we put our hope in Christ that we can wait with confidence and know we will not be put to shame.

There is only one place to go to for reassurance during hard times, and that is to the cross.

It seems that God allows us to experience disappointments in life to teach us that nothing else will truly satisfy or provide us with a firm foundation to stand upon. God’s Word alone is unshakable. We can wait for the Lord knowing that, no matter how dark the night is, his light will break through in our lives, bringing abundant joy through a more intimate relationship with Christ.

In Jesus Name, every darkness that cover your destiny is destroyed by fire in Jesus Name

What to do while waiting on God

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: WHAT TO DO WHILE WAITING ON GOD

Watch with expectancy, but be prepared for unexpected answers

Psalm 5:3 KJV
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord ; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

While God has been faithful to answer many of my prayers, it’s often been in far different ways than I would have anticipated! God knows that the only way to do what he and I both desire will, at times, involve varying degrees of discomfort in my life.

Growing in humility means pride has to be done away with. Learning to love like Jesus requires us to say no to self’s constant demand for selfish ambition, wanting our own way, and putting ourselves first. Growing in patience inevitably involves some form of waiting, whether in a long line at the grocery story or a lifetime for a loved one to come to Christ. When we lay our requests before him, it is by faith that we wait and watch in anticipation of God’s good work in us and others.

God hear your cry

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: GOD HEAR YOUR CRY

Believe that the God who saved you hears your cries

Micah 7:7 KJV
Therefore I will look unto the Lord ; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.

Have you ever felt like your prayers are bouncing off the ceiling? Perhaps, like me, you have prayed for years about a concern, but God has seemed silent.
That’s where God demonstrated his love and mercy towards us when we were still his enemies.

He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? (Romans 8:32)

In other words, the cross is our guarantee that God is for us and is committed to give us everything we would ask for if we knew everything he knew. We can be content with that and wait patiently for his answers.

LET US PRAY
In Jesus Name, before you are tired, God miracle will come into your life

God's way, Our way

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: GOD'S WAY OUR WAY

Genesis 17:1-4 KJV
And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. [2] And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly. [3] And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying, [4] As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.

This is another week, in the 11th month of the year, God is laying it Into my heart to discuss His heart desire for you,

Many of us desire many thing in life of which we want God to do for us, but have we ever try to know what God want of us as well?
That is what God ask of you this morning, "walk before me, and be thou perfect"

God want you to be perfect as you can in all your ways, in all our dealings, God is so merciful that we have not been consumed and die in our sin, he want us all to repent and walk in his way,

If you can do this, for surely, God shall smile on you and your heart desire shall be meet in Jesus Name.

TO BE LIKE CHRIST REQUIRES BEING CONFORMED TO HIS DEATH.

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: TO BE LIKE CHRIST REQUIRES BEING CONFORMED TO HIS DEATH.

This phrase is related to “the fellowship of His sufferings” and grows out of it. But it also has another dimension, which Paul describes in many other places, that of dying to sin and self through the cross of Christ. When we trust in Christ, we are placed “in Christ,” which means that we are identified with Him in His death and resurrection. But, we have to live experientially what is true of us positionally.

In Galatians 2:20 Paul states, “I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and delivered Himself up for me.”
In Colossians 3:5, just after explaining how we have died and been raised up with Christ (3:1-4), he exhorts us to “put to death” the members of our bodies with regard to various sins (also Rom. 6:1-11 compared with Rom. 8:13).

This is what Jesus meant when He said that whoever follows Him must deny self and take up his cross daily (Luke 9:23). Jesus always lived by denying temptations to live in His own power or for His own ends. He lived only to do the Father’s will. To the degree that we learn to die to self and sin by being conformed to His death, to the same degree we grow to be like Him. Hallelujah

LET US PRAY
Whatever that is holding you back of spiritual and physical progress I curse to day in Jesus Name.

Trusting God in Suffering

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: TRUSTING GOD IN SUFFERING

Unlike Jesus, we have the powerful force of indwelling sin to contend with.
God uses suffering to burn off the dross and purify us. But, we have to cooperate with Him by humbling ourselves under His mighty hand when we go through trials, trusting His sovereignty over our suffering, and casting all our cares on Him (1 Pet. 5:6-11).

Fellowship points to closeness or intimacy. Though few Christians know it, those who suffer because of their faith in Christ know a special intimacy with Him.
When Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego were thrown into the fiery furnace for refusing to bow before Nebuchadnezzar’s idol, he looked and saw not three men, but four, walking in the fire (Dan. 3:25). I believe the fourth was Jesus Christ who stood with them in their hour of trial. They knew the fellowship of His sufferings.

Paul knew this fellowship. When he was preaching in corrupt Corinth, he was afraid. The Lord appeared to him in a vision and said, “Do not be afraid any longer, but go on speaking and do not be silent; for I am with you, and no man will attack you in order to harm you, for I have many people in this city” (Acts 18:9-10).

We must be part of the fellowship of His Suffering

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: WE MUST BE PART OF THE FELLOWSHIP OF HIS SUFFERING

TO BE LIKE CHRIST REQUIRES KNOWING THE FELLOWSHIP OF HIS SUFFERINGS.

Our Savior came to suffer for our sins on the cross. His entire ministry was marked by misunderstanding, opposition, betrayal, and death. While we can never enter into His sufferings in the same way that He suffered on the cross, there is a sense in which we can never be like Him if we do not go through suffering and learn to entrust our souls to a faithful Creator in doing what is right (1 Pet. 4:19; see also 1 Pet. 2:21-23; 4:13; Rom. 8:17-25; 2 Cor. 1:5).

Hebrews 5:8 makes the startling statement that “Jesus learned obedience through the things He suffered.” It does not mean that Jesus was disobedient and had to learn to be obedient through suffering. It means that He had never experienced the test of obedience until He suffered. His suffering for our sins on the cross was the ultimate test of His submission to the will of the Father. If we are to be like Him, we must also learn to obey God through suffering.

LET US PRAY
In Jesus Name you will not suffer from the hands of the Devil and whatever is causing you pain is hereby remove in your life in Jesus Name

Our Goal as Christian

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: OUR GOAL AS CHRISTIAN

Philippians 3:10-11

The goal of the Christian life is to be like Christ.

When you met your future mate, fell in love and got married, your life was permanently changed. You would never be the same again. It is the same, only much more so, when you meet Jesus as Savior and Lord. He marks you for life, and the more time you spend growing to know Him, the more you are different. The rest of verses 10 & 11 shows the components and direction of the change that goes along with knowing Christ.

TO BE LIKE CHRIST REQUIRES KNOWING THE POWER OF HIS RESURRECTION.

Paul came to know the power of the resurrected Lord when he was struck down on the Damascus Road. Even though not all conversions are as dramatic as Paul’s was, all conversions do require the same mighty power of the risen Lord Jesus Christ, because they all require God to raise the sinner from spiritual death to spiritual life (Eph. 2:4-6). Other Scriptures compare conversion to opening the eyes of the blind so that they can turn from darkness to light; and, to delivering captives from Satan’s domain to God’s kingdom (Acts 26:18; Col. 1:13). These are not things that can be accomplished through human persuasion or through a self-improvement program. They require the same mighty power of God that raised Jesus from the dead.

That same resurrection power is necessary to sustain the believer as he walks in victory over sin. Paul prays for the Ephesians (1:19-20) that they would know “what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe [which is] in accordance with the strength of His might which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead ....” He prays for these same Christians (Eph. 3:16-17) that God “would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man; so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.”

In Jesus Name you will not lose your Salvation you will not backslide, you will end well

Knowing Christ and Being Like Him

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Knowing Christ and Being Like Him

(Philippians 3:10-11)

Someone has wisely pointed out, “One of the most dangerous forms of human error is forgetting what one is trying to achieve"

That is especially true in the Christian life. It’s easy to get sidetracked. We need to be clear and focused at all times on what it is we’re after.

What is the goal of the Christian life? If we forget it, we’re not likely to achieve it. It can be stated in several forms, but in our text, the apostle Paul nicely sums up what we’re supposed to be aiming at:

The goal of the Christian life is to know Christ and to be like Him.

That’s it, isn’t it! Christianity is definitely nota religion of rules and rituals that we must work at keeping in order to climb the ladder to heaven. Rather, it is a personal, growing relationship with the risen, living Lord Jesus Christ that results in our growing conformity to Him. Our goal is to know Him and to become like Him.

LET US PRAY
In Jesus Name, you will not die a spiritual death

Why Giving Is So Important

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Why Giving Is So Important:

1 Giving makes me MORE LIKE GOD

“God so loved the world that He gave his only Son ...” John 3:16 ESV

God is a Giver! He gave us life. He gave us this world to enjoy. He even gave us his only Son so that we might have a relationship with Him. That most famous of verses, John 3:16, shows us the connection between loving and giving. You can give without loving, but you cannot love without giving!

2 Giving draws me CLOSER TO GOD

“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:21  NIV

Where I put my money, my time, my efforts, my thinking, my life... that’s where my heart will be! So where do I want my heart? If I want to be more like God, then I’ll also want to be closer to God. When I give out of a heart of love and compassion, I’ll find that I’m also next to God’s heart.

3 Giving strengthens my FAITH

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, do not depend on your own understanding.  Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce.” Proverbs 3:5, 9 NLT

Nothing strengthens my faith more than giving when I don’t understand how in the world I possibly can do so. Giving the way God gives - and the way He wants us to give - goes beyond our budgeting. It requires faith. The more I give, the stronger my faith will become. This is so because I discover that I cannot out give God. The more I give, the more He provides me the ability to give.

“Give, and it will be given to you... For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.” Luke 6:38 NIV

Giving of our money and material possessions is the only place in the Bible where God literally says, “I dare you.” Here is Mark’s translation: “Give with a cup and you will be measured back a cup. Give with a dump truck and you will be measured back with a dump truck!”

4 Giving is an investment FOR ETERNITY

“... Give happily to those in need, and always be ready to share whatever God has given you. By doing this, you will be storing up real treasure for yourselves in heaven - it is the only safe investment for eternity.” 1 Timothy 6:18-19 LB

5 Giving reveals my SPIRITUAL MATURITY

“But just as you excel in everything - in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness... - see that you also excel in this grace of giving.” 2 Corinthians 8:7 NIV

Ultimately giving is more about my spiritual maturity than it is about the actual gift. Our finances are the last part of our personal life that we will release in trust to God. We hold on to our money and our wealth as a form of security. We cannot trust in God AND trust in our money at the same time. Giving is the discipline of learning to trust God. And it reveals to us the truth of our spiritual maturity.

LET US PRAY
May God gives you a divine connection that will turn your life around for better in Jesus Name

Giving grows our faith in God

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Giving grows our faith in God

Philippians 4:19 KJV
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Perhaps some of the members of the church at Philippi had given to Paul's ministry but were worried they might not have enough money left to meet their own needs. Paul gave them a great promise to stand upon.
Many Christians sit at the kitchen table or at a desk each month with their bills, and they conclude they have no or little money to give to the church. Putting braces on the kids' teeth, paying for college tuition, buying new tires for the car, and replacing the roof on the house loom as larger priorities than faithful financial stewardship.

Verse 19 encourages us to take the step of faith and to give, trusting God to meet our needs.
God meets our needs personally ("my God").
He meets our needs liberally ("all your needs").
He meets our needs gloriously ("according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus").

LET US PRAY
In Jesus Name, God will meet your need and supply you abundantly

Giving makes us partners in ministry and pays spiritual dividends

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Giving makes us partners in ministry and pays spiritual dividends

Philippians 4:14,17-18 KJV
Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction. [17] Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. [18] But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.

Paul said about this gift of money sent by the church at Philippi (Read verse 14). The word share is the same word often translated as "fellowship." The word denotes partnership. Each time we give to the Lord's work, we partner with other Christians to help advance the kingdom. That exciting thought puts joy in our hearts.

Paul made clear he was not looking for monetary gifts for his own benefit.
Giving blesses the one who gives more than the one who receives the gift. The phrase "credited to your account" implies that giving to the Lord is like investing in kingdom matters. Kingdom work pays spiritual dividends.

Giving from the right motives and for the right reasons becomes in God's sight, (Read v.18). This language from the Old Testament shows that our giving becomes an act of worship and devotion to God. Sacrifices to God fill our hearts with great joy (see Ps. 4:5, 7).

Today the lord deliver you from power and spirit of poverty in Jesus Name

Be Contented

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Be Contented

Philippians 4:11 KJV
Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

Paul did not want this church to think that his joy rested on whether he had money. Paul had schooled himself to be satisfied with whatever he had. He had joy in his life, not because his purse was full, but because he had learned contentment.

The Greek Stoics used the word content to describe self-sufficiency. Paul believed his sufficiency was in Christ (Read Hebrews 13:5). Paul believed that whether you were naked or clothed, hungry or filled, rich or poor, if you had the Lord in your life, you had everything you needed.

Our consumer-oriented society pressures us to place too much value on material things, to the point that our joy is based on how much we have. This approach to life results in chronic dissatisfaction. We never seem to have enough.

LET US PRAY
May the lord satisfy you with his riches this week in Jesus Name.

Giving Revives Our Concern

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Giving Revives Our Concern

Philippians 4:10 KJV
But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.

The word flourish in verse 10 pictures something that was dead now coming to life. The word sometimes is translated as revived. The word pictures a tree or plant that is barren in the winter, but when spring comes, the tree or plant blossoms with new shoots and flowers.

The Philippian Christians had been barren in expressing their concern for Paul, but now, with the gift of money they sent him, they were blossoming anew with concern for Paul's welfare.
Giving takes the focus off ourselves and puts it onto someone or something else. Giving becomes a tangible way we can express concern and love to other people.

LET US PRAY
In Jesus Name you will not be a beger and this week God will bless you abundantly

Things that happen when we pray

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: THINGS THAT HAPPEN WHEN WE PRAY

PRAYER OPEN OUR SPIRITUAL EYES
It enables us to get in touch with what God is doing and how He is doing it.
In II Kings 6 you may recall the story of when the Army of Israel was surrounded by their enemies and Elijah's servant got nervous. Verses 15-17 say

Now when the attendant of the man of God had risen early and gone out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was circling the city. And his servant said to him, "Alas, my master! What shall we do?" 16So he answered, "Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them." 17Then Elisha prayed and said, "O LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see." And the LORD opened the servant's eyes and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

PRAYER OPENS OUR EYES, ENABLING US TO SEE WHAT GOD IS DOING, to see things we are blinded to without prayer. That's because prayer is communication. We speak to God, God answers us, speaking to us, showing us.

IT ALIGNS OUR HEART WITH GOD'S HEART
Adjustment, alignment, setting our thoughts, emotions, actions.

PRAYER ENABLES US TO MOVE FORWARD
Prayer engages God, enables God's people, and enlarges His kingdom. Jesus said, "without Me, you can do nothing." Once we have prayed we are ready to do anything, until we have prayed we can do nothing, but once we have prayed we can accomplish anything.

What does your prayer life look like this morning? Are you persistent in prayer? Are your prayers passionate or are they perfunctory? Are they filled with intensity and fervor or are they weak, timid and lacking faith? What about gratitude? How much time have you spent thanking God for all He has done for you? And who are you praying for? Is there anyone in your life that you are praying will get saved? Is there a burden on your heart to see God's kingdom expand, to see His will done?

LET US PRAY
Every ugly situation that is disgracing and embarrassing you will start turning to your blessing and favor in Jesus Name

Pray, Making intercession

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Pray, Making Intercession

Intercessory prayer is basically praying for others, it is praying for God's will to be done in the lives of other people.

Intercessory prayers characterized the prayer life of Jesus.

In Isaiah 53:12 the Bible says, He Himself bore the sins of many and, interceded for the transgressors."
Luke 22:23 Jesus tells Peter, "I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail;"

Luke 23:34 on the cross, Jesus was praying for others when He said, "Father forgive them for they do not know what they are doing."
John 14:15 Jesus interceded for us, asking the Father to send the Holy Spirit

John 17:19 He prayed for us, the church, in His High Priestly prayer. Listen to the intercessory nature of this prayer, "I ask on their behalf; I do not ask on behalf of the world, but of those whom Thou has given Me . . . "
Romans 8:34 tells us that Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father, making intercession for us.
And Hebrews 7:25 says, "Hence, also, He is able to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them."

Jesus prayed intercessory prayers, He was ever praying for others.

when you pray for others, when you pray for God's work to be done, for His will to be accomplished, He will begin to use you and grow you in ways that will astonish those around you. Sometimes I think we do not become what God wants us to become, because we are too focused on ourselves and not on others. It is when we pray for others that we will become more like Jesus, and as we become more like Jesus God will grow us more, show us more, and use us more.
We must pray for others.

LET US PRAY
May the person that will bless you be free from his bondage and locate you in Jesus Name

Pray with thankfulness

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Pray with thankfulness

Paul never fails to mention it.
Ephesians 5:20 tells us that thanksgiving is the natural result of being filled with and walking under the influence of the Holy Spirit.
Philippians 4:6 tells us to be anxious for nothing but in everything we should pray, giving thanks as we make our petitions known to God.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 tells us that giving thanks at all times is God's will for us in Christ Jesus.
Colossians 3:17 says that as believers everything we say or do should be done in the name of the Lord Jesus as we give thanks to Him.
1 Timothy 4:4 - says that food and marriage are good things given to us by God and are to be received with thanksgiving and gratitude.
Expressing gratitude does several things:
It articulates dependence
It demonstrates relationship
It communicates gratitude - proper attitudes
It generates humility

That you are alive today is by God's grace and not your own making. All God required of you is to give thanks

LET US PRAY
In Jesus Name this week will be a week of your best testimony

Pray with passion

IOI CHRISTIAN MORNING MEAL

TOPIC: Pray with passion

If you are persistent in something, it stands to reason that you are to be passionate about it. In fact, Paul says we should be vigilant or be watchful; it is the opposite of slothfulness. This describes passionate prayer.

Jesus was passionate about His prayer life, it was something He was always doing.
And every time we see Jesus praying He was praying with passion.

In Luke 3:1 at His Baptism - while He was praying the heaven was opened. Passionate prayer opens Heaven.

In Luke 6:12 before He called His disciples - He spent the whole night in prayer. Passionate prayer gives direction.

In Luke 9:29 at His transfiguration - And while He was praying, the appearance of His face became different, and His clothing became white and gleaming. Passionate prayer enables us to experience the glory of the Father.

In John 17 in His high priestly prayer - Passionate prayer impacts the lives of others.

In Matthew 26:39 in the Garden of Gethsemane - It is only through passionate prayer that we can pour out our hearts to God.

In Luke 23:24 as He hung on the cross - a life that is lived in passionate prayer will enable us to maintain that spirit, even in the most difficult of circumstances.
Jesus always prayed with passion, because He knew Who it was He was talking to and He knew that prayer to the Father is a powerful thing and not something to take lightly and glibly.

Prayer from the heart, that's what passionate prayer is, it is prayer from the heart not just from the head.
That is how He taught us to pray, not only through His example, but specifically through His teaching Look in Matthew 6:7, in the Sermon on the Mount as Jesus instructs on prayer. It is here that we find the Lord's prayer. But just before the Lord's prayer what does He say?
"When you pray, do not use meaningless repetition as the Gentiles do."

What has happened to the Lord's Prayer? People repeat it as if it were some kind of magic mantra that will bless them or move God to hear them. They are doing with it is exactly what He was instructing us not to do with it. The gentiles, when they prayed tried, through their religious repetitions, with their chants and their mantras to call forth or impress their Gods. That is not what you do when you are in a relationship.

James 5:16 says, "The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much."

LET US PRAY
Your cry in prayer will not go in vain unless it produces log lasting miracle for you in Jesus Name
