Topic: HAVE A FOCUS
TEXT: Philippians 3:12-16 KJV
Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. [13] Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do , forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, [14] I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. [15] Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. [16] Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.
brethren this is time we need to have focus on the journey to the kingdom of God
If we want to buy car, house, and earthly thing we all need to be focused to get it not to allow anything to disfocusing them how much more is our journey to the kingdom
A day is coming when the lord will come and the trumpet will sound, so it is good to be ready,

Some of us are hot for Christ when we first born again we don't use to joke with our Bible, prayer and spiritual exercise even church activity but now so many christian are cold spiritualy
3 THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT FOCUSING
1. Know where you are going
2. Know what your gain are in the race
3. Know whom you are
Paul the apostle said, I know I have not attain it but am pressing forward can you too say that, some people are discourage and disfocus, please don't be
Do whatever you are doing as if you want to go to the kingdom of God today
Secondly Paul said, I press on to the goal, do you know what is your gain and what God will give ? If you know brethren you will continue the race without looking back
PEOPLE THAT DID NOT LOSE FOCUS IN THE BIBLE
1. JOSEPH
Genesis 39:6, 9-10 KJV
And he left all that he had in Joseph's hand; and he knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was a goodly person , and well favoured. [9] There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God? [10] And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened not unto her, to lie by her, or to be with her.
Here Joseph prove that he fear God and he is focus let us also do that and run away from sin, despite Joseph was a slave in a strange land he still stood his grand in the lord, you are me too can do that, finally Joseph left his cloth and run away from that seductive woman, brethren that us the solution for sin, TO RUN FROM IT
2. JOB
This man job lose house, children, farm, friends and even wife's affection and at the end he was been attack with boil still he didn't sin against God
Job 2:9-10 KJV
Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die. [10] But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.
2 Timothy 4:10 KJV
For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.
3. Luke
This man stood by the work of God, and didn't leave the man of God
4. Daniel
A command was given against Gods will and even though Daniel was in slavery land he stood his grand he didn't lose focus

All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counsellors, and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions. How many time have you too make promise to stand for God and failed today you can do it, tell God to help you and try to be focus then you will her there,
PEOPLE THAT DISFOCUSE IN THE BIBLE
