TOPIC: FAITHFUL CHRISTIAN
TEXT: 2 Timothy 2:1-5 KJV
Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. [2] And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. [3] Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. [4] No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. [5] And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.
Brethren, the lord didn't promise us that we will not fight in the world, the bible didn't promise us that we shall not face hardships, or that we will not be attack by enemy and face trials and persecution
Rather he says. . .
Jn 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Mt 10:16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
This are what will happen to us because we want to serve God and remain faithful to him, but if you and me can endure then we shall enjoy
Jas 5:11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
Jas 1:12 Blessed [is] the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
Heb 12:7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
Heb 12:3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
Our song should be. . .
2Cor 4:9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
So brethren, whatever you are going through, please stay faithful, its going to be over soon, miracle will happen soon, Jesus will come soon.

May God give you power and grace to remain faithful to him to the end in Jesus name
