TOPIC: THE FEAR OF GOD

Text: Proverbs 1:7 KJV
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

The fear of the Lord is an awareness that you are in the presence of a holy, just, and almighty God and that He will hold you accountable for your motives, thoughts, words, and actions. To fear God is to desire to live in harmony with His righteous standards and to honor Him in all that you do.

This is what we all need as a person, as a family, as a nation and even as as Church and leader from every works of life.
Fear of God is most important to obtain the mercy and favour of God,
No doubt in out life's and nation we need Gods intervention but we can't see this unless we fear and reference God.

It is a pity of bad news we read and hear daily of pastors, leaders in churches in politics and in all our institutions,
The fear of God is no more in our land and each of us a doing what pleases us.

Deuteronomy 8:6 KJV
Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.

If we fear God we will not rob our neighbour, we will not cheat our company, we will not kill our fellow men, we will not spoil our fellow brother and sisters,
If we fear God we will think of the aftermath and the future of our children before we do a thing.

I challenge you brethren to start teaching the fear of God to your children and your self

And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,
